At the swamp, The Ninja, Cyrus Borg and Samurai X were all looking up at the Time Vortex in shock, "Well," Demir finally spoke up, "That just happened," He commented.
"This is not good." Morro muttered.
Just then the Time Vortex disappeared much to the Ninja's shock. "Kai! Skylor! Nya! Come back!" Jay called out as he ran out the dome. "Kai! Skylor! Nya!" He called out before looking down. "Oh why did they have to risk their lives to go after Krux and Acronix?!" He asked as the others walked out of the dome.
"It was the only way to save Wu." Ray said as Maya helped him walk out of the dome.
"Oh, okay I can live with that." Jay shrugged.
"Wait a minute, who are you two?" Rose asked in confusion.
Morro recognized the two, "Master Ray, Master Maya," He said in shock.
"It's been a while, Morro." Maya said with a smile before looking at Cole, "And you're Lilly's son, correct?"
"You… you know my mom?" Cole asked in shock.
"Indeed, she was the Master of Earth after your Grandfather stepped down," Ray said tiredly.
Maya then turned to Jay, "And you must be Jay. The boy Nya talked about so much," She said with a smile, "Hmhm, I see a lot of your mother in you."
"My…my mother?" Jay muttered in shock.
"Wait a minute." Lydie spoke up as she realized who they were. "You two are Kai and Nya's parents!"
"Yeah, we saw your portrait at the Museum." Lloyd said to them.
"Krux and Acronix traveled back in time with the Reversal Blade so our children and Skylor had to follow." Ray said to them.
"But why?" Demir asked.
"Only that blade can undo the effect of the Time Punch on Master Wu." Maya answered. "They are his last hope."
"Uncle Wu is with them?!" Lydie asked in shock.
"We have to go help them!" Cole said as he turned to Borg. "We just need a time machine. You can build another one, right?"
Borg just gave a frown. "I can't." He said to them,
"Oh, I get it." Jay said with a smile. "'I can't' is business speak for 'It'll cost you big'." He said, thinking Borg needs cash like the last time he helped them. "Okay, businessman, I hear you." He then searched his pocket. "Hm, I got a tenner."
"Uh, Jay, I think Borg meant that he can't because making a time machine like the Apparatus was already complicated as it was." Demir said, knowing what Borg is saying. "And the last one needed the power of all four Time Blades to do it.
"Which means no Time Blades, no time travel." Maya said, getting the same idea. "I'm afraid there is nothing to do but wait and hope Kai, Nya, and Skylor return."
"So that means we have nothing to do but to wait?" Rose asked with a frown. "Huh, what a break."
Jay then turned to the new Samurai X. "Okay then, Samurai 2.0." He walked up to him. "While we're stuck waiting, why don't you tell us who's really under there?"
"No." Samurai X simply said.
"Would a tenner change your mind?" Jay asked as he reached into his pocket.
"No." Samurai X repeated.
"What about a piece of candy?" Jay asked.
"No." Samurai X said again.
"What about two pieces of candy?" Jay asked.
"No." Samurai X said again.
"Okay, Jay, enough is enough." Lydie said tiredly. "If the Samurai X won't reveal his identity, it's his choice. Don't trick him out of it."
"Okay, fine." Jay said in defeat.
Maya then turned to her husband. "What you said is true. Kai, Nya, and Skylor truly are Master Wu's last hope." She said to him,
"Not just him. All of Ninjago…" Ray then stopped as he then started coughing as the others turned to him in concern.
"You okay, Ray?" Morro asked in concern.
"I… I don't know." Ray groaned.
"What is it?" Maya asked her husband in concern.
"On the ship…" Ray started off. "When Acronix hit me, he was holding a Time Blade. And something happened." He said as Zane then started scanning him.
"Accelerated physical deterioration, rapid loss of life function." Zane said as his eyes widened in realization as he gave a grim look. "You've been hit with a Time Punch, too."
"And there's no cure." Lloyd said in concern.
"Wait, guys, remember, the Reversal Blade can undo it on Master Wu." Morro spoke up, reminding them of the only thing to cure a Time Punch. "It might work for you too, Ray."
"Only if our children and Skylor retrieve it and return in time." Ray said while feeling himself aging.
"Let's hope it's not too late." Demir said with a concerned look. "Because from this end, we can't do much but wait and hope for the best."
"So let's hope that Kai and Nya get the Blade then." Rose said with a frown before she looked at Demir with a light blush. "And uh, Demir, May we have a bit of a talk?"
"Well, we have nothing to do but wait." Demir said with a shrug as Rose gestured to him at the entrance of what's left of the dome as they entered the wrecked room. "What is it you want to talk about, Rose?"
Rose felt a bit embarrassed to speak as she rubbed her arm. "Well, you see… when you were captured by Krux and Acronix when the Vermillion Warriors first attacked…"
"Yeah, still embarrassed by getting hit from behind." Demir said sheepishly.
"Yes. I believe so." Rose said with a small giggle. "But other than that… when you were captured, I was worried and became rather aggressive with the others."
"Really?" Demir asked in surprise. "Ain't that usually Lydie's job if something happens to Lloyd?" He joked.
"Well, yes. She does." Rose said with a giggle before rubbing her arm. "But… uh… I mostly became aggressive while worrying about you."
"Why?" Demir asked in wonder. "I mean, I can expect Lydie and Morro knowing their temper, but you?"
"Um… well… it was because that… you were the closest thing I had to a first friend." Rose stammered a bit nervously.
"W-Wait, what do you mean by that?" Demir asked in confusion.
"W-What I mean is…." Rose took a deep breath before looking Demir in the eyes. "Demir…. I have a crush on you." She revealed, which made Demir look at her in surprise.
"Y-You… have a crush… on me?" Demir said in complete shock while Rose kept giving an embarrassing look.
"Y-Yes. I know it is rather shocking." Rose said with a sheepish look. "What I mean is… After you were captured, I was so worried for you. And with all the time we've spent since joining the Ninja, these feelings just… happened."
Demir looked at Rose with shock and blushed a little bit. "W-Wow, I-I really don't know what to say." He said nervously. "But to be honest Rose… I actually have a crush on you as well."
Rose was surprised by that. "You… you do?" She asked.
"For a while actually." Demir admitted with a blush. "But I kept it hidden because well I always thought that I was way out of your league, I mean you come from a wealthy family, you have a very fancy voice, which is very cute and well just awesome in general, me on the other hand, I'm just a normal standard man, not counting Elemental Powers and being a Ninja, for someone rich, high and fancy as you are." He said with a frown. "I mean why would an awesome girl like you go for a guy like me?"
Rose looked at Demir in surprise and a bit of sympathy from how he thinks as she then sighed before she spoke. "Demir, you are right that my family may be rich, but I wouldn't go to someone who only cares for money or the fancy life." She said,
"W-Wait, you wouldn't?" Demir asked.
"No." Rose shook her head. "I spent my entire life living like a princess who had everything done for her already, but I wished to find my own path. As a Ninja I'm free to choose my own path, build my own legacy. But my point is, I would be with any man who is modest, sincere and above all loyal to a fault, and that is with you, Demir."
Demir was surprised by Rose's words. "You… You really mean it?" He asked.
"Yes. I do." Rose said as she placed a hand on Demir's shoulder. "Throughout our adventures, you have shown to be a strong and brave Ninja, and more importantly, a good friend. But I see you more as a friend… I suppose I was only afraid of how you might think. But when we came to rescue you, it made me realize how to express myself if anything happened to us."
"Well, getting kidnapped for days can make you do that." Demir said with a sheepish smile. "And yeah, I guess we do worry for one another."
"It most certainly does. Especially what Jay and Nya experienced after the Sky Pirates thing." Rose said.
"Yeah, I guess that's true." Demir said with a chuckle before he had a thought. "So, Rose, you really think we could be a co-" He was cut off when Rose grabbed him and pulled him in a kiss, which surprised Demir before Rose separated with a warm smile.
"I believe we could, darling." Rose said with a smile as Demir gave a huge blush while Rose giggled.
Demir shook his head as he gave a smile. "Y-Yeah, I guess it does." He said as he and Rose gave warm smiles. "You know, we should tell the others about this while we wait for Nya, Skylor, Kai, and Wu to return so that they don't tease us."
"An excellent idea, darling." Rose said as the two held hands as they made their way outside.
Inside the Time Vortex, the Iron Doom was traveling through the time stream as the events of the Ninja's past flew by it, while Krux and Acronix were in the cockpit. "Ah. The majesty of time travel." Acronix said as he raised his tablet and took a picture of the time vortex. "Hm, not really capturing the majesty. Maybe a different filter." He said before Krux slapped the tablet away.
"Put that away." Krux said in annoyance. "We're approaching our temporal destination." He said before he turned to Machia, Blunck, and Raggmunk. "Prepare your troops, Supreme Commander."
"My pleasure." Machia said with a smirk as the three walked off.
"Ancient Ninjago. Before technology corrupted her." Krux said with a smirk. "Decades of preparation will finally pay off. The battle will be re-fought."
"This time, no one can stop us." Acronix said with a smirk while they didn't notice that Skylor, Kai, and Nya were hiding underneath the platform.
"Oh yeah? I'll show 'em 'no one'." Kai declared with a serious look.
"Easy there, hotshot. We are outmatched and outnumbered right now." Skylor told her boyfriend.
"Skylor's right." Nya said in agreement. "To save Master Wu, we can't blow our cover." She reminded her brother as they turned and saw Wu groaning as he laid on the floor. "We have to wait for the exact right time."
"Okay." Kai said with a sigh before he remembered what Krux just said. "'The battle will be re-fought'? What do you two think that means?" He asked before the Iron Doom started shaking.
"Uh, I think we're about to find out soon." Skylor said as the Time Vortex started glowing at one end.
40 years ago,
Past Wu and Garmadon are moving the Time Blades as they opened the time vortex and tossed the blades into it while Krux and Acronix chased after them as the Elemental Masters watched just as the portal vanished. "Did Krux and Acronix just…" Garmadon asked his brother in shock.
"It appears they chose being lost to time over facing their punishment." Past Wu summarized. "The outcome is not what we intended, but Ninjago is now safe." He said, but then the Time Vortex opened up again as the Iron Doom landed right in front of the Monastery, which shocked the Spinjitzu Brothers and the Elemental Masters
"Look." Garmadon said in shock as they saw the Time Blades in the Apparatus as they then looked at the entrance as Krux and Acronix exited, much to the Elemental Masters' shock.
"They look confident. Overly so." Acronix mocked with a smirk.
"Hey, North, am I seeing things or aren't those the guys we just beat?" The Previous Elemental Master, Jay's birth mother, asked after seeing Krux and Acronix.
"Indeed they are, Libby." North replied.
"Why, yes, we are." Krux said with a smirk as he and Krux stepped forward. "You have already stopped us once today. But that was before we had a legion spawned from the Great Devourer."
"Aw, I thought I was gonna finally go on my honeymoon." Libby complained as she turned to the others with a smile. "Really cute guy, too. Cliff is an actor and when I look into his eyes-"
"Stop! Focus, everyone." Past Wu said seriously as they faced the Hands of Time with a serious look.
"Focus? Indeed." Krux said with a smirk.
"Commander Machia, it is time." Acronix said with a smirk as the Iron Doom moved a bit.
"Vermillion Warriors. To arms!" Machia declared as the Vermillion Warriors came out of the Iron Doom, which shocked the Elemental Masters. "Devourer!" She called as the Vermillion Warriors jumped down with yells as the Elemental Masters drew their weapons and fought the Vermillion Warriors.
As they fought, Libby and Past Wu saw one spread apart. "What?" Libby asked in shock.
"The warriors are made of snakes." Past Wu said in shock as the warrior reformed.
"I've never seen snakes do that before." Libby said in shock as they knocked the warrior back as Libby shot a lightning bolt a few, hitting them to the wall.
"We have to keep them out!" Garmadon called out as the Elemental Masters pushed the Vermillion Warriors out.
"Shut the gates!" Past Wu called out as they shut the gates as best they could while pushing the Vermillions back.
Inside the Iron Doom, Skylor, Kai, and Nya got out of hiding as they got into the cockpit and looked down as they saw the battle that was happening. "The Reversal Blade!" Nya said as she grabbed the blade, which she struggled to get it out of the Apparatus. "Stupid blade won't budge!"
"Step aside, sis." Kai bragged as he pushed his sister aside and grabbed the Reversal Blade. "Let the Elemental Master of Fire take care of…" He grunted as he tried to pull it out, which he struggled to pull it out.
"It's not coming out, is it?" Skylor questioned with a brow.
"Masters!" Past Wu called out, which got the three attention as they looked down. "Watch your flank!" He called out as the Vermillions climbed the walls as Garmadon, Libby, and the Master of Gravity tried to keep them back, but were struggling.
"There's too many!" Garmadon called out.
"And even when you stop one, it just reforms back together." Libby said as they kept fighting them off but the warriors reformed as they continued the fight.
"They're fighting a losing battle down there." Skylor said in concern.
"Because they've never seen Vermillion before." Nya said with a frown. "They don't know how to stop them."
"But we do." Kai said with determination. "We've got to go help." He said as Wu weakly walked towards them.
"Kai, Nya, Skylor." Wu said as he was about to fall.
"Ah, Master Wu!" Kai said in concern as he, Skylor, and Nya caught him before he fell.
"Where are we?" Wu asked.
"Long story, but we're back in time." Kai said to him. "40 years. When you, Garmadon, and the Elemental Masters fought Krux and Acronix at the Monastery. Only this time, the good guys are losing." He explained as the battle continued.
Wu groaned in pain, "We have to help you," Nya told him.
"Not just 'you' you, but young you too, Wu!" Skylor said looking away for a moment, "Whoa, that's a mouthful."
"No, I have warned you before about the dangers of time travel." Wu muttered. "Change anything, change everything. In this time, you do not exist yet." He muttered before he fainted.
"Master. Is he…?" Kai asked in worry, hoping that the worse hadn't come before Nya checked his pulse.
"He's still here. But not for long." Nya said in worry.
"Neither are they. They need us." Kai said while gesturing to the battle.
"Then we need to hurry." Skylor said with determination.
"We can't reveal our presence." Nya said to them. "You both heard Master Wu: 'Change anything, change everything'."
"We also heard Krux: 'The battle will be re-fought'." Kai said to her. "Don't you get it? Things are already changing. For the worse. Besides, Master Wu also says, 'Never put off till tomorrow what can be done today.'" He added as they guided Wu out of the Iron Doom. "And if we don't help today, there won't be a tomorrow."
"But we don't exist in this time." Nya said before Skylor then had a thought.
"Actually, we don't exist at this time, but I know two Elemental Masters who do." Skylor said with a smirk as they walked down the stairs. "We have to hide Wu somewhere safe. I'll keep an eye on him while you two help the Elemental Masters." She instructed. "I have an idea."
Back inside the Monastery, Past Wu was fighting off the Vermillion Warriors on his own as he knocked one away. "Seize the leader!" Machia ordered as some troops went towards Past Wu, who kept them back as he did a quick Spinjitzu, but he was being overwhelmed before he was knocked to the ground as the Vermillion Warriors surrounded him.
But then, Kai and Nya, while wearing their masks, shot fire and water while on the roof, blasting the Vermillion Warriors away from Past Wu as he looked up and saw them. "Ray. Maya. You've returned!" He cheered, thinking it was his old friends.
"Yes. And we've um, studied these warriors." Kai said in a deep voice to act like his father. "To defeat them, you cannot allow them to reform." He said before he whispered into Nya's ear. "Skylor was right, he thinks we're our parents." He whispered.
"We must work together. All of us." Nya said, disguising her voice to act like her mother.
Garmadon then came up beside his brother. "I thought forging the Time Blades exhausted you." He said to them in confusion.
"Uh, we rested and…" Kai tried to say before he saw something. "Look out!" He called out as more Vermillion Warriors reformed and charged at the Elemental Masters as they struggled to push them back and keep the doors shut. Kai and Nya jumped down as they joined the fight. "Use your powers to separate them!" He called out as they knocked back some Vermillion Warriors and used their powers to keep them separated.. "Follow our lead!"
"Keep them separated. Got it."North said as he pushed back a Vermillion and used his ice powers to separate them as Libby used her lightning to keep them apart while the Master of Shadow vanished and sneak attack a few warriors while the Master of Sound yell as he broke them apart while North and Libby use their powers to keep them separated.
"Grrr! We're losing." Krux said with a look.
"Well, only insofar as they are winning." Raggmiunk said as he and Blunck came to the Hands of Time.
"Eh, temporary setback." Blunck said, trying to ease them.
"We did not travel across decades to suffer temporary setbacks!" Acronix yelled as he and Krux nodded to each other and gave a yell as they took Blunck and Raggmonk's helmets, reducing them to piles of snakes as the Hands of Time put the helmets on.
"I was wondering when you would finally tire of their incompetence." Machia said in a bit of joy to finally get rid of Blunck and Raggmonk.
"We always knew the time would come." Krux said with a smirk.
"So, shall I reorganize the troops?" Machia requested.
"Oh, I'm afraid we won't be needing your services either." Krux said with a smirk, which shocked Machia.
"Supreme Commander Machia, you are relieved." Acronix said as he and Krux grabbed Machia and pulled apart her armor, causing the snakes to go flying as the Hands of Time walked back into the Iron Doom.
With the Elemental Masters, they stood together as they faced the Vermillion Warriors. "On my count." Kai said to them. "Three, two…" Just then to their surprise, the Vermillion Warriors all reduce to a pile of snakes. "Why did they stop?" He questioned as they looked up to the Iron Doom.
"Vermillion, cease battle." Krux ordered.
"Return to the Iron Doom," Acronix said as the Vermillion snakes all slithered inside the Iron Doom. "Iron Doom, arise!" He called out.
"Yes, Master!" The Iron Doom, mixed with Raggmunk, Blunck, and Machia's voices, called out as it came to life and stood there before glaring down at the Elemental Masters.
"It is time to rule!" Krux yelled out as the Iron Doom raised its arm.
"Argh! Seriously?!" Libby exclaimed in frustration. "Normal snake samurai are hard enough. How do we stop that?!" She gestured to the Iron Doom.
"You know this enemy." Past Wu said as he looked at Kai. "What do we do?"
"I… I have no idea." Kai honestly said before the Iron Doom swung the arm down, which they barely avoided.
"Then we must improvise." Past Wu said as they stood up as the Iron Doom shot an egg, which was filled with rocks as the heroes barely avoided it as they used their powers on it, but the Iron Doom shrugged off their attacks and knocked the gates of the Monastery down as it came further close to them. "Spinjitzu! It's our last hope!"
"NINJA, GO!" The Spinjitzu Brothers called out as they did Spinjitzu and advanced towards the Iron Doom, which it whacked them aside as they screamed and fell down.
"It's so big it just towers over us." Nya stated while seeing the Iron Doom towering over them.
"Then let's get above it." Kai declared with a serious look.
"NINJA, GO!" The Smith siblings did Airjitzu towards the Iron Doom, but it whacked them away as they screamed and fell down to the stairs as Skylor saw them while looking after Wu.
"Okay, I can tell you guys are fighting a losing battle, still." Skylor said in concern as she picked up her two friends.
"A lot worse than it was just a bunch of snakes." Kai said with a frown. "Now it's one big Iron Doom, literal to the name."
"Yeah, that's bad." Skylor said in concern before they watched as the Iron Doom picked up Past Wu and put him in view of the cockpit.
"A futile effort." Krux said with a smirk. "Here are the terms of surrender: Yield now, and we will destroy the Element Masters but spare the citizens of Ninjago."
"But… But…" Past Wu tried to say.
"Refuse, and we still destroy you, but citizens will not be spared." Acronix threatened as Past Wu gave a sigh.
"Do. You. Yield?" Krux questioned with a firm look.
"I… I yield." Past Wu said with a defeated look.
"No." Wu said as he realized what his past self did. "Krux and Acronix just altered the outcome of a key battle in Ninjago history."
"Change anything, change everything." Kai muttered, wondering how this change will affect the future.
Back in the present, the Borg blimp vanished while the buildings of Ninjago City vanished and were replaced with old ancient buildings, which Jay saw while in the swamp. "Guys, something's really wrong." Jay said in concern as they turned to Jay and looked at what he's seeing. "The city is, um, different."
"Yeah. It looks old." Cole noted.
"Wait, I recognize those details." Morro said as he saw the old buildings he's familiar with. "That is Ninjago City, but forty years ago before modern life adapted."
"Huh?" Borg questioned as he looked at his arm. "My BorgWatch has disappeared."
"What is going on here?" Demir asked as he looked around. "Even the new Samurai X vanished." He added, seeing that Samurai X was nowhere in sight.
"My worst fear has come true." Ray, who is starting to have wrinkles and gray hair, spoke up as Maya guided him to the others. "The past has been changed. Your watch doesn't exist because your technology no longer happens."
"No computers, No communications, and no…" Lydie started before she gasped in realization, "Zane!" She exclaimed as they turned and saw Zane on the ground but appearing as he when he was first built.
"Without technology, the Overlord never returned as a virus, which means Zane never sacrificed himself to be rebuilt." Lloyd said in concern. "But why isn't he moving? It's like he's powered down."
"I think an outdated robot that is mostly cogs and gears isn't worth updating with the time." Demir said in concern. "But wait, how come Zane is the only one who changes while the rest of us are the same."
"I don't know. Life day miracle?" Jay asked with a shrug.
"Perhaps it is because our ancestors have not been killed yet." Rose theorized. "If they had then we would not exist."
"Well, let's hope Kai, Nya, and Skylor can prevent that from happening." Lydie said with a concerned look as she looked out to the ancient city. "Because if they fail, we're done for."
Back in the past, the Iron Doom tossed Past Wu aside, which the Elemental Masters caught him while Skylor, Nya, and Kai watched while Wu leaned on a tree. "What do we do?" Nya questioned. "The Iron Doom is just too strong. Not even the entire Elemental Alliance could stop that thing."
"We know, Nya. We know." Skylor said to her. "But what are we supposed to do? We're more experienced than the Elemental Masters against the Vermillion, but against the Iron Doom itself, we don't know how to take that monster down. Even with our powers, we're no match against it."
Kai thought for a moment before he gave a smirk. "Unless…" He started.
"Unless?" Nya asked.
"What do you have, Kai?" Skylor asked.
"Remember how we worked together at the Boiling Sea?" Kai reminded them as he took out the Dragon Blade. "I think it's time to bring back the big guy." He declared as he lit up his hands in flames.
"How do you know it isn't 'the big girl'? Nya asked as she and Skylor gave a smirk to Kai.
"Yeah, why do boys always be in the big leagues?" Skylor teased with a smirk, which made Kai look embarrassed.
Back up on the Monaster, the Iron Doom moves close to the Elemental Masters. "Who do we destroy first?" Acronix questioned. "Garmadon or Wu?" Just then, they heard a familiar war as they looked up and saw the Fusion Dragon.
"I think we have, Bigger problems!" Krux said in panic as the Fusion Dragon flew closer. "Envasie Maneu-" He was cut off with a scream as the Fusion Dragon tackled them, knocking them off balance as they flew up.
"We gotta get that Reversal Blade!" Kai called out as he, Nya, and Skylor were on the dragon as they flew back to try and grab the Reversal Blade, but missed as the Iron Doom took out a big sword and tried to swipe it at them, but missed.
"It appears even the mighty can still fall." Garmadon said.
"Then perhaps there is still hope." Past Wu said as they watched the fight. "Krux and Acronix overconfidence just might be their undoing." He said as the Iron Dragon heard it as it gave a roar.
"This time, how about we go in low?" Skylor suggested with a smirk.
"Got it!" Nya nodded.
"Yeah!" They cheered as they charged at the Iron Dragon, which made it see it coming towards them before they swatted it away, making them tumble down as they gave startled yelps before they steady themselves.
"Okay, low, bad call." Kai said.
"Yeah, that's on me. Sorry." Skylor said with a sheepish look.
"This time we hit it high." Kai said as they flew towards it.
"Maya and Ray are nearly as awful as their little brats, Kai and Nya!" Acronix complained in frustration.
"Don't you recognize the Fusion Dragon?! Those are their little brats!" Krux exclaimed, seeing that the Ninja followed them through time. "Maximum barrage!" He called out to the Iron Doom.
"Maximum barrage engaged!" The Iron Doom called out while firing eggs at the Fusion Dragon, which they dodged.
"Eggs? They're getting desperate." Kai commented.
"Actually, at that speed, our skills will crack before those shells do!" Nya exclaimed.
"Just focus on steering, leave the Eggs to me!" Skylor said, powering up her copied elements. "Let's take them out!" She called out as she fired both fire and water and hit the Iron Doom, which knocked it back as Krux and Acronix were pushed back by the impact.
"You know what they say: 'Fight fire with time'." Acronix said to his brother.
"I hate when you make up sayings." Krux said in annoyance.
"Fine. Then how about…" Acronix started before he focused his command. "Iron Doom, full temporal energy." He ordered.
"Full temporal energy!" The Iron Doom called out as it stood still and the Apparatus started powering up.
"I don't know how much longer Wu is gonna last!" Nya called out as they saw the weakened Wu, seeing he can't hold out much longer.
"We have to get that Reversal Blade!" Kai said to them before Skyor remembered what Ray and Maya told them.
"You're right." Skylor said with a serious look as she stood up.
"Skylor, where are you going?" Nya asked when they saw Skylor standing up. "We need all the help we can get."
"Sorry, you guys gonna have to do it without me." Skylor said to them. "I need you two to buy me time."
"For what?" Kai asked as he and Nya were confused.
"Just trust me!" Skylor called out as she jumped over and used water power to soften her landed before the Iron Doom shot a slow mo energy at her, which she barely dodged as it formed around Wu, giving Skylor more time as she made her way down the stairs.
"I hope she has a good plan," Nya told her brother in concern.
"Me too," Kai said as they kept flying.
Skylor ran down the mountain and into the forest near the Monastery as she looked around. "Come on. Come on. It's gotta be here somewhere." Skylor muttered before she spotted something on the ground that made her smirk. "Aha! There it is." She said with a smile as she reached down and grabbed something.
Kai and Nya continued to pour pressure on the Iron Doom as they shot their elements at it. "Distract him!" Past Wu called out as the Elemental Masters shot their elements at the back of the Iron Doom, causing it to turn before releasing eggs at them, keeping them back as Kai and Nya tackled them down, which made the Iron Doom lean to the edge as it lost its swords.
The Hands of Time screamed at how high up they were as they focused and got the Iron Doom straight up as they looked at the Fusion Dragon that was flying around. "Kai and Nya have interfered for the last time!" Krux growled in frustration. "I will destroy them, if I have to do it with my bare hands!"
"We still have the Iron Doom." Acronix reminded him with a smirk. "We can go anywhere in time we please. If the fight is too difficult here, let's go to a time when we are sure of victory. A time where those two do not exist."
"Ah, yes. Further back in the past." Krux said with a nod.
"No. Far into the future." Acronix said with a smirk as he focused and the Iron Doom then activated the Apparatus as it began to power up and opened up the time vortex as it began to float.
"Kai! They're about to travel through time again!" Nya called out in worry. "They're getting away!"
"I know! This is our last chance!" Kai stated as they flew towards the Iron Doom, but just when they were about to strike.
"Head Fake!" Acronix ordered as the Iron Doom dodged the Dragon, "And Tail Whip!" He ordered again as the Iron Doom swung its tail on the dragon.
The Fusion Dragon was hit, which flung Kai and Nya off their dragon. "No!" They cried out as the dragon vanished and they fell onto the bridge as the Smith siblings watched helplessly as the Iron Doom went into the time vortex as it then closed.
"No!" Kai and Nya cried out as they took off their masks and looked up at where the Iron Doom was.
"They… They got away." Kai muttered.
"We failed…" Nya muttered as they looked down helplessly as Skylor rushed up to them.
"Kai? Nya?" Skylor asked as she placed her hands on their shoulders.
"We failed everyone." Kai muttered. "You…"
"Mom. Dad…" Nya continued as tears began to form.
"And Master Wu." Kai finished as she and Nya looked down in defeat and sadness.
"Failure is often temporary, Kai and Nya." Wu's voice spoke up as the Smith Siblings felt their shoulders being touched as they turned and saw Wu, healthy, well, and back to his original age. "It can be corrected. And with effort, it can even be reversed." He wisely said.
"Master Wu?!" Nya said in surprise and relief as she and Kai stood up.
"You're…" Kai tried to say.
"Cured of the Time Punch. Thanks to you two and Skylor." Wu said to them as he turned to Skylor.
"And the Power of Reversal." Skylor said as her hands glowed yellow, which surprised them.
"W-Wait, how did you get that power?" Nya asked in surprise. "You didn't touch the Time Blades."
"No. But I did touch the Reversal Blade." Skylor said as she took out the Reversal Blade, much to the two ninjas' surprise.
"But how'd you get it?" Kai asked in confusion. "Where?"
"Remember what Maya, your mother, told us back at the swamp?" Skylor asked with a smirk. "How shortly after Acronix and Krux disappeared, she and Ray found the Reversal Blade?"
"Right. In the woods near the Monastery." Nya said in realization.
"But, she said they sunk it in the Boiling Sea." Kai stated in confusion.
"We are in the past." Wu reminded him. "It hasn't been put in the Boiling Sea yet."
"So it was still in the woods. The moment I grabbed it, I absorbed and copied its powers to cure Wu." Skylor said with a smile.
"That's fantastic." Nya said with an impressive smile.
Kai however, gave a frown. "Krux and Acronix got away. And we can't follow them. We're stuck here forever." He said as he covered his eyes in shame.
Wu then took the Reversal Blade from Skylor as he began to walk a bit. "Those who don't learn from the future are doomed to repeat the past. Forty years from now, I will err by trying to win a fight on my own." He said with a frown. "Fortunately, we can correct this mistake, because…" He then gestured to the Reversal Blade.
"We still have time!" Kai said in realization.
"Yes." Wu nodded as he turned to Skylor. "Now, Skylor focuses your powers and combines them to reverse time before Krux and Acronix left. Kai, Nya, get close to the blade we all reverse."
"Okay. Brace yourselves guys. I'm new at this." Skylor said as her hands glowed yellowed and started focusing her powers onto the Reversal Blade while Kai and Nya placed their hands close to the Blade as the blade started shaking and glowing as Skylor poured more power into it.
"Skylor, release!" Wu called out as his voice echoed as Nya and Kai were now holding the Reversal Blade, which made the two float up as time began to reverse right to the point Acronix pulled the head fake trick as the Fusion Dragon flew towards the Iron Doom.
"Head fake!" Acronix called out.
"Not this time!" Kai called out as he and Nya flew over and flew down the mountain towards Wu and Skylor.
"We must make sure the future is not affected!" Wu called out as he and Skylor jumped onto the Fusion Dragon as they flew up to the Iron Doom. "Wu! Catch!" He called out as he tossed the Reversal Blade to his past self, which he caught.
"The Reversal Blade." Past Wu said in surprise as he turned to his brother. "But how?"
"Who knows? But it's too dangerous to keep." Garmadon said to his brother. "The Boiling Sea." he said as Past Wu nodded and rushed down to the stairs.
"Find Mistake!" Wu called out to the Elemental Masters as the Fusion Dragon circled around. "Drink Obscuri-tea, all of you!" He called out, wanting them to forget what had occurred so that the timeline remained unchained.
"Go! Go! Go!" Kai shouted as the Fusion Dragon flew up with a roar just as the Iron Doom entered the portal as they followed after them before it closed.
Back in the present, Ninjago City then returned to its modern state, which Jay noticed. "Guys, you won't believe this!" Jay called out as they turned and saw the city back to its original state.
"Ninjago is back to normal!" Jay cheered.
"My technology has returned!" Borg cheered as he saw his BorgWatch had reappeared on his wrist.
With Zane, he is back in his Titanium appearance as he rebooted as he gasped and stood up. "I believe something just overloaded my sensors. Did anyone else feel a temporal disturbance?" He asked as Samurai X appeared as well and walked next to Zane.
"Zane!" Lydie cheered as she hugged Zane in relief. "You're back!"
"Haha! Kai, Skylor, and Nya did it!" Jay cheered as he rushed up and hugged Samurai X. "Wanna celebrate by telling me who you really are?" He whispered in his ear.
"No." Samurai X said again, feeling a bit annoyed.
"Everything is fixed! The timeline has returned to normal!" Demir cheered as he hugged Rose, who blushed with giggles.
"Fate of Ninjago. Ugh…" Ray moaned as he was getting older as Maya held him.
"Not everything." Maya said sadly.
"I hope those guys get back soon." Morro said in worry. "Ray can't hold out much longer than Master Wu."
In the Time Vortex, the Iron Doom travels through it. While inside, Krux groaned as he removed his helmet as he turned to his brother. "Must we go to the future?" He questioned, hating new developments like technology that was made in the future.
Acronix took off his helmet as he spoke up as well. "If we travel far enough ahead in time there will be no one who knows us." He said with a smirk. "No Elemental Masters. And best of all, no Kai and Nya."
"Wow, you just keep getting it wrong, don't you?" Kai's voice spoke up as the Hands of Time turned and saw him, Nya, Skylor, and Wu behind them with their weapons ready.
"Huh?!" The Hands of Time exclaimed in shock.
"That's gotta be really, really frustrating." Nya quipped.
"Considering you keep leaving the door open for us to let ourselves in." Skylor added with a smirk.
"No! It's impossible!" Acronix exclaimed. "It ends now!"
"Indeed it does." Wu said with a smirk. "And we shall end it together." He declared as the Hands of Time drew their swords and the group all fought together while Skylor and Kai fought Krux, Nya and Wu fought Acronix as they clashed blades.
Krux managed to flip Kai out of the cockpit, which Skylor quickly jumped out as she grabbed Kai from falling into whatever point in time he would've ended up in as Krux came up behind them. "You'll never interfere again, kids." Krux taunted before Nya came in and knocked Krux away as Skylor and Kai came back in while the three fought Krux.
Wu and Acronix are fighting each other before Acronix sees his brother in trouble. "My brother needs my help. I'll deal with you soon enough, old man." He said as he kicked Wu aside, which made him groan as Acronix rushed to aid his brother.
Wu looked out and saw something in the vortex. "We're passing through the present." He said as he looked out and saw the present time as he saw Ray dying from rapid aging while the Ninja and Maya are close to him. "Ray, my old friend." He muttered with a frown as he saw that his old friend won't last much longer.
Acronix and Krux manage to beat Skylor, Nya and Kai down as they raise their swords. "Goodbye, children." Krux said with a smirk.
"No!" Wu called out as they turned and saw him climbing out of the cockpit.
"Ha! There is nothing you can do!" Acronix mocked with a smirk towards Wu.
"Except what must be done!" Wu said with a serious look as he went to the Apparatus and timed it before he then grabbed the Reversal Blade out, which caused the Iron Doom to shake, much to the Hands of Time horror.
"No! You fool! You'll destroy us all!" Acronix yelled out as the Iron Doom started spinning, which Wu jumped up as he entered the cockpit and caught Kai's hands as he, Nya, and Skylor held onto each other as they were near the edge.
"Why did you do that?" Kai asked after what Wu just did.
"From what we can tell, this thing needs all four Time Blades." Skylor said in worry, seeing the Iron Doom destabilizing because of the loss of the single Time Blade.
"You will know when you arrive." Wu said as he let go of Kai's hand, causing him to hold onto the window of the cockpit.
"Master! What are you doing?!" Nya called out as Wu brought out the Reversal Blade.
"Putting off until tomorrow what cannot be done today." Wu recited as he tossed the Reversal Blade to them causing Kai to lose his grip as the three screamed as they fell off from the Iron Doom as they and the Reversal Blade fell back into the present era.
Wu jumped back into the Iron Doom with his staff ready. "As you said, Acronix. It ends now." Wu declared as the Hands of Time glared at him as they then went further through the portal as the vortex gave off flashes while screaming could be heard from the Iron Doom as voices from within the time stream could be heard.
"Never is a long time."
"You have beaten the game."
"Grief will come to you all!"
"We are the Keepers of the Amulet!"
"After all this time, fate has finally brought us together!"
"There will be peace, in the dark."
The voices spoke while the Iron Doom vanished in a bright light at the other end of the vortex.
Back in the present, the time vortex opened up from above the swamp as Kai, Skylor, and Nya fell out with Kai holding the Time Blade, which the others noticed. "Kai? Nya? Skylor?" Lloyd asked in surprise before the three fell into the water and quickly got up as they rushed to the others.
"Mom?" Nya asked.
"Dad?" Kai asked next as they saw their father.
"Can't… hold on." Ray strained as he could barely keep his eyes open.
"I'm afraid he is close to his end." Maya sadly said as tears began to form in her eyes. "There's nothing to be done.
"Yes, there is." Kai said as he held up the Reversal Blade and brought it down on Ray, which released time energy as the others watched as Ray reverted back to his original age as he gasped and sighs in relief as he saw his kids.
"My children." Ray said as he was helped up.
"Dad." Both Kai and Nya said as they hugged their father in huge relief.
"Oh, you guys. Let me get in on this." Jay said as he and the others got into a group hug around Ray as Morro looked around.
"Wait, where's Master Wu? What happened to him?" Morro asked, noticing that Wu's not with them.
This made Skylor, Nya, and Kai eyes widened in realization. "Oh, no, he's still in the Iron Doom." Kai muttered. "He stayed aboard to deal with Krux and Acronix."
"He tossed us out and gave us the Reversal Blade to save Ray." Skylor added.
"And now he's gone." Nya muttered sadly.
"W-What?" Rose muttered in shock while the others were shocked to hear what happened to Wu.
"Holy cow." Demir said in shock.
"Wu's… lost in time?" Morro said, feeling sad that his father figure was gone.
"I… I'm so sorry, Morro." Lydie said as she placed a hand on her boyfriend's back while wiping away the tears in her eyes.
"So we don't have a master anymore?" Cole asked in despair.
The group stood quiet as Jay stepped forward to the Garma-Twins. "Yes we do. Two of them." He said with a serious look. "Both you and Lloyd, Captain. It has to be both of you."
"W-What?" Lydie asked in shock.
"But…" Lloyd tried to say before Kai held the Reversal Blade to them.
"Masters Lloyd and Lydie." Kai said as the Garma-Twins looked at their friends, who were giving encouraging smiles as Lydie slowly held the Reversal Blade.
"Garma-Twins, the Masters." Lydie muttered as she turned to her brother. "So, Lloyd, you wanna take the next step in leading?" She asked with a small smile.
Lloyd looked at his sister for a moment before he gave a smile. "You know I'm with you all the way, sis." He said as he gently placed his hand on the Reversal Blade as Lydie gave a smile as she stepped forward.
"Okay, everyone, listen up." Lydie said as the others listened. "First, we get rid of the Reversal Blade. It's too powerful for us to keep."
"Then, we start searching, which will take all of our energy to accomplish our next mission." Lloyd continued with a serious look.
"And we will not rest or stop until we know…" Lydie started with a determined look.
"...where is Wu?" Lydie's voice echoed as Wu was in the timestream having heard his niece and nephew's voices as he gave a serious look, knowing that no matter where or when he ends up, his pupils will find him, and they will not stop until their master is found.
