SCREAM By Kevin Williamson

I am a huge fan of the Scream horror franchise. How they take the knowledge of horror movie cliches and tropes and turn it into one of its own. My favorites among the Scream franchise would be the First movie; nothing beats the original, but I do have one note and it would be Tadum's death. She was Sidney's best friend aka or hero and also the sister to Dewey who goes on to become one of the Legousy Characters. Not to mention that it was her boyfriend too that was the killer, not just Sid's. She has serious main character relationships and she just got swept under the rug like she was some rando background character no one ever talks about. Then it would be Scream 4. I just love the fresh but classic take of the movie and bringing in the next generation though I would have made a few changes not much, just a few. Like making Kirby Randy's daughter. I just think that tie back would have been nice and if you mess with the timeline a little bit it is totally possible because she was two years above Sam who was born right after the first movie. Finally I love Scream 5. Again I would make a few changes. Like make Sam's boyfriend be the son of Stu Mocker. Bring it back to the beginning because as we know it always goes back to the beginning. I don't know; these are just my notes on the movie franchise.
Scream 2, 3, and 6 however were the worst of the bunch. Scream 6 was just messy and trying so hard to copy Scream two which was a desaster in of itself. The only thing I liked was that Kirby came back and that we got a history lesson on the past killers, but Sidney was not in it and then that tease with Stu being alive. He got his head bashed in with a TV and was then electrocucted to death. I'm sorry but he's dead. Like dead dead. I feel as though there are enough Scream movies so we don't need a Scream 7 and yes Gal and Sidney will both be in it but the new characters from the past movies are now gone. So what was the point in introducing them to begin with? Honestly the good parts of Scream 6 could have just been put into Scream 5 and not have been made. I also love Scream 5 because it was made in honor of Wes. I love that. But despite that over done franchise we will be getting a Scream 7 and I will definitely be watching along with everyone else but I'm not going to be happy about it even if I end up liking the movie.
Not onto the biggest hit of the franchise Scream 2 & 3 and I will be talking about these two together because I feel that if these two were just made into one movie instead of two then it would have been a phenomenal movie. The beginning kill scene would be Cotton's death. I love how Sidney's brother was one of the killers and how Billy's mom was another, but in Scream 2 she was paired with some loser nobody and it kind of just threw the entire story off in my opinion. I love the fact that they are in college, and hate that Tadum was practically forgotten. Love that Randy's sister makes an appearance after Randy dies but hate that in the third movie they were making one of the movies at least how it was told. I think telling the story with the first movie being talked about and the director who wishes to make the movie is trying to get Sidney to give him green light so he can make it. I love that take on it and then the killing are them making the movie on the college campus. Sidney's brother and Mrs. Lumus are the two killers and plot twist Randy and Sid are briefly together in the second movie and Sid ends up pregnant with Kirby. I know That sounds more like fan lore than anything but this is my fanfic so here we go. The movie ends with Dewey marrying Gal and Sidney going off to raise her daughter in isolation for a few years before going off to write her book. In the remake of Scream 4 which would be Scream 3 now Kirby would be going to high school with Sam and Jill and she is living with her grandpa while her mom does her book tour.
I feel like from the six Scream movies we were given we could have had four really great ones and if number seven turns out amazing then it would just be five movies but for now I am saying four. So this is my rewrite of the Scream franchise I hope y'all like it, but please just keep an open mind. Also this counts as my disclaimer I own nothing but the rewrited ideas. The rest belong to Wes Craven and Kevin Williams.
