A/N (Notes from Tumblr prompt ask) 2 - I've been heads down coordinating the Tomione Smut Fest and I'm just coming up for air lol. 3 - It's been a minute since I dipped my toe into Jily. 4 - it's October so I tried to add in a little pseudo-spookiness.

Prompt: *Her arms wrapped around his neck, dragging up to claim his lips.*

Marlene and Black as bait wasn't working. The two had gone through all the stages of physical affection in the ghost's prime hunting ground. Holding hands as they walked through the forest, pausing to hug each other and rub their noses together - Potter had snorted at the sight - and even making out against a tree.

Nothing. The malignant ghost wasn't biting. Lily and James were flying near the treetops to keep a sight line but be hidden. The air was chilly.

As Black led Marlene closer to where the last couple died, Lily felt a shiver run down her spine. She looked over at Potter, only to find his eyes meeting hers in confusion. She tilted her head to the ground, flying lower until it was safe to dismount.

The hairs on her arm stood at attention, and Lily breathed out a cold fog. The ghost was near. But it wasn't Black and Marlene it wanted. It wanted her and Potter. Setting her broom against a tree, Lily stepped in close and searched his eyes for any hesitation. His steady gaze met hers.

His hands settled on her hips, and he pulled her toward another tree. As her back hit the bark, her arms wrapped around his neck, dragging up to claim his lips.

It wasn't supposed to mean anything. Marlene would have caught on pretty quickly and backtracked to where they were.

There was a pained grunt from behind them. All Lily could focus on was how soft his lips were. She fell into the kiss with him. The chill in the air was lost as she was surrounded by the warmth of his arms on either side of her.

The sounds of a struggle in the background faded away. Lily was the one to initiate the kiss and she would be the one to deepen it. She kissed him. Lily kissed Potter. Analyst Evans kissed Hunter Potter.

Her hand rose from the back of his neck to card through his hair. Potter groaned into their kiss. He was constantly running his fingers through it, now was her turn.

"Evans! We've got it! I could use James' help over here!" A voice pierced the bubble around them. Yet, Lily didn't want to pull away from his enticing lips.

"Oi, Lily! Kiss him later, let him help Sirius!" Marlene's voice did the trick. Lily left her eyes closed for a second after they pulled away. James' heat was gone from her from one moment to the next. She heard an over-the-top dramatic groan coming from Sirius, he must have been trying to get James to hurry up. That wasn't what forced her eyes open. Something was wrong.

Black was wrestling the remains of the malignant ghost towards the fire Marlene was building and conjuring more kindling to keep it alight. Potter was hurrying across the wood clearing to help his best friend.

While her team handled the ghost's remains, Lily's eyes darted over the clearing. She couldn't pinpoint it yet but her senses were screaming at her. The ghost had been focused on young lovers after it had been tragically separated from its partner. She didn't know why it hadn't focused on the actual couple of their group - Black and Marlene had been together since Hogwarts instead it fixated on her and Potter, why?

Movement out of the corner of her eye had her hitting the deck just in time. An axe flew through the air to thunk in the tree bark she had previously leaned against.

Looking up, Lily saw a second ghost hovering between her and the rest of her team.

Its glowing eyes were locked on a single target: her.
