Circling Star

"I should have told you a long time ago, and I'm really sorry."

Tamano held her hands up in the air, closed her eyes, and Moroha could only look in shock and awe.

She, Towa, Setsuna, and Riku saw the herbs lifted from the table and float in midair, with the mortar and pestle following suit. They witnessed the herbs filling the mortar and set back onto the table, and then the pestle grinding the herbs until they were paste.

Tamano then gazed at the hot kettle near the crackling fire, and then she was able to lift the mortar with the herbs inside, and then putting them in the water, where it bubbled to a simmer.

Tamano opened her eyes, and she clenched her fists, waiting for words of admonishment.

Instead, Moroha let out a huge breath that she didn't even know holding, as the others were still just bewildered.

"Whoa, that was incredible!" Moroha finally spoke, jumping up and down. "I didn't know you could do that!"

Towa blinked, and exchanged glances with Setsuna, who then looked to Riku.

Tamano sighed in relief. "So, you're not mad?"

"Are you kidding?" Moroha asked, smiling. "That was amazing, I never would have guessed!"

"That was pretty impressive." Riku added, nodding.

Towa nodded in agreement. "To be honest, this was a welcome surprise."

Setsuna crossed her arms. "I didn't think you had such powers, but it isn't every day you see such a thing."

"See? I told you that she was amazing." Moroha remarked, wrapping an arm around Tamano, who could only let out a relieved laugh.
