A/N: I don't own Power Rangers, Transformers Prime, or the picture I'm using for the story.

Hey guys; this is another Power Rangers/Transformers Prime story I'm working on. And yes; it also takes place in Power Rangers Time Force, and Jack will still become a Power Ranger. But this time; I'll be giving him the Black Chrono Morpher so he can become the Black Time Force Ranger. And in case any of you don't know; the Black Time Force Ranger was exclusive to a comic called "Power Rangers: Sins Of The Future."

Anyway; originally the back story for the Black Ranger was that she was Alex Drake's younger sister, Cyra Drake. And she came back in time to kill Jen Scotts because she blamed her for Alex's death since Jen's relationship with Wes, inadvertently changed things in the future. And I don't want to give away too many spoilers. So if you want to know what happened next, read the comic. But I don't know much about the Black Ranger's capabilities. All I know for sure, is that the morpher's equipped with a portable transwarp drive, so the user can travel through time without the use of a timeship, and that the specialty weapon is called the Midnight Sword. So any abilities I give the Black Ranger in this story; I'll be making up as I go along to fill in the blanks.

This episode will take place at the start of season two of Transformers Prime; after "Orion Pax" and before "Operation Bumblebee." It will also take place during the episode "Quantum Quest" so that way, there will be two new Rangers to debut, and because I want to see Jack kick Eric's butt if he steps out of line. But I swear; even though they'll be similar, this won't be the same thing as my other Power Ranger story, and I'll try to draw the difference between the two. Which brings up what I have to say next; I promise I'll finish my other stories in due time. I just have this condition where every time I get a new idea, I can't help but to use it. So if I don't get this started, it's just going to keep buzzing in my head, until I do. And I know that there are plenty of fanfics with the same title "Midnight Shadow" so that's why I put Power Rangers in front of mine. Plus; I have a good reason for using that phrase as a title, which I will reveal in chapter 3.

Now before we start; I would like to thank my friend/fellow author "Rukatofan89" for telling me about the comic "Power Rangers: Sins Of The Future." If it wasn't for them; I never would have known about that comic or the Black Ranger. I'll just post this now, write it later. In case I don't get this done in time, happy 4th of July! Now; that being said.

LET'S ZOOM THE COSMOS!

The year 3000, in an alternate timeline

A mutant was attacking downtown, in the city of Silver Hills. Time Force arrived on the scene. The lead officer stepped out of his custom Corvette squad car. He was a young Asian-American man with black hair and blue eyes; wearing a white Time Force uniform and a Chrono Morpher on his left wrist. His name was James Kenji Jones. Exiting out of a black armored Time Force Hummer and standing beside him, was a woman about the same age and race as him; wearing the same uniform, and had the same hair color, but had brown eyes. She was his fraternal twin sister, Julie Kimiko Jones. Both siblings held their blasters at the ready, directly at the mutant. Suddenly; both their Corvette and Hummer, respectively, transformed into giant robots. These weren't ordinary robots; they were sentient robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron. In other words, Cybertronians.

Centuries ago; the Cybertronians were living in secret as robots in disguise, and their home planet was ravaged by years and years of civil war waged between the evil Decepticons and the benevolent Autobots. Even after the age old war ended and the Cybertronians became public knowledge all those centuries ago, both sides were treated with prejudice, no matter their affiliation. But now; Cybertronians and humans coexist together. Cybertronians are also allowed to join Time Force, now. The Cybertronian taking the form of James's Corvette was the Autobot, Override. She had a gold face, blue optics, horns on her head, blue and red police sirens and black and white police colored armor, which used to be red and white. She was the leader of Velocitron; a planet where there is nothing but open road and highways everywhere. Her people "The Velocitronians" were Transformers that settled almost everything through racing. And Override was one of the fastest Autobots in the galaxy; she was also James's partner.

The Hummer that transformed into Julie's Autobot partner had blue optics, black armor and heavy duty weapons. He was Ironhide. He was a member of the latest generation of Wreckers. The Wreckers were a special tactics unit on Cybertron who operated outside the normal chain of command; accepting missions no one else wanted. Basically, they were Black Ops. Their motto was, "Wreckers don't call for backup, they call for cleanup." James and Julie weren't the first members of their family to partner with Autobots. Back in the early 21st century; two of their ancestors partnered with two different Autobots when they were teenagers. And to this day; some of their relatives say that James is similar to his male ancestor, because his Autobot partner was fast like Override. They even said Julie was like their female ancestor, because her partner was big and strong like Ironhide.

"It's over, Razor-Tooth. We're Time Force, and we're taking you in." Override said to the mutant, holding her badge as it flashed gold.

"You heard the lady. Now you can either come along quietly, or kicking and screaming. Either way, you're under arrest!" James exclaimed. The mutant they were arresting was Razor-Tooth. He had sharp buzzsaw-like teeth, big purple eyes, black metal skin and a white doctor's coat. He was a mutant dentist; but he wasn't your typical mutant. He was the first ever genetic crossbreed between a regular mutant and a scraplet, the most dangerous vermin on Cybertron, whose diet consisted of metal. Especially, living metal. The crime they were arresting him for was cannibalizing innocent Cybertronians, and experimenting on his patients. Even though his passion was in dentistry, he had the mind of a mad scientist and wanted to make others like him.

"Oh, goody! You brought me Cybertronian metal. My favorite kind of snack." Razor-Tooth said, referring to Override and Ironhide.

"That's not going to happen. TIME FOR TIME FORCE!" James said as he activated his morpher, morphing into the Black Time Force Ranger. He then pointed his Chrono Blaster at Razor-Tooth. "Now, like we just said, Razor-Tooth. You're under arrest! How that happens is up to you."

"You'll never take me alive, copper." Razor-Tooth replied. James and Julie began shooting at him with their Chrono Blasters, while Override and Ironhide shot at him with their own blasters as well. But it wasn't by any means one-sided, Razor-Tooth shot back and knocked James to the ground, while also shooting at the ground near Julie, causing her to fall from all the flying sparks. James and the others tried to engage him in hand to hand combat; but like a regular scraplet, he was both fast on his feet, and he could fly. So he was a slippery little mutant. He dodged all their attacks and knocked James back on the ground again. He then landed on Override's arm, biting chunks out of it, after she tried smashing him. "Mmm, tasty." He said, enjoying his little snack.

"NOOOO!" James said, blasting Razor-Tooth off of Override while still laying on the ground.

This only made Razor-Tooth angrier. "You're going to pay for that, Jones!" He said, then blasted him while he was still on the ground.

"JAMES!" Override exclaimed with concern for her partner. But what none of them except James noticed at the last minute, was that the most recent shot he received from Razor-Tooth, zapped his morpher. The computer in his helmet told him most of the primary functions for the morpher were damaged, and that his power was now running dangerously low.

"You should have looked the other way, Jones. Even if Time Force coming for me was unavoidable, you should have stayed out of it." Razor-Tooth stated.

After hearing that, James struggled through the pain, trying to get up. Soon enough; he forced himself to stand, while still shaking a bit. "That's not how this works, Razor-Tooth. I'm a Time Force officer, and a Power Ranger. Letting criminals like you go free, isn't what I do. And besides all that, I'm doing this for my team. They're still in the hospital because of you. And I'm going to get justice for them." A few days prior to this showdown; James and the other Power Rangers got into a fight with Razor-Tooth, causing the others to end up in the infirmary, with only James left uninjured.

"Hey, your friend's knew what they were getting into. But they still chose to challenge me, anyway. So, them winding up in the infirmary is on them. It's not my fault they weren't the smart ones." Razor-Tooth rudely commented.

That comment really rubbed James the wrong way, to his core. "That's it! You're going down, buzzsaw jaws!" James said while running at him.

"James, wait!" Julie said while still on the ground, showing concern for her brother. Razor-Tooth tried blasting him, only for him to miss every shot as he still came running towards him. James and Razor-Tooth got into a hand to hand fight, with Razor-Tooth not being able to lay a hand on James. Then James used his Chrono Blaster to soften him up first, then used his Chrono Sabers to slash at him as a follow-up. Finally; he materialized a heavy blaster from his morpher, which was his V-Weapon with the number six on the side, and blasted him with it till he couldn't take it anymore.

"That does it! It's time to go big." Razor-Tooth said as he reached for his D.N.A. patch, so that by exposing his mutant D.N.A., he would grow to gigantic size.

"I don't think so!" James exclaimed and drew his signature weapon, the Midnight Sword, and delivered a slash-attack finisher, reducing him to his frozen miniature action-figure like state. He then held his badge over him, materializing a small cryo-containment tank around him. "Sorry, Doc. This is your last checkup." James said to Razor-Tooth, referencing to the fact he was a dentist. A little while later; James was in the laboratory of one of the head scientists at Time Force, about to participate in a groundbreaking experiment.

"James, are you sure you want to do this? Maybe you should give me the morpher, and let me do this instead. I mean, you're still pretty banged up from the fight with Razor-Tooth." Julie said to him. Even though a Chrono Morpher only works for the person who first puts it on, because it's then encoded to their unique D.N.A. signature, Julie was able to use the black morpher as well, since she and James were twins. She even operated as the Black Ranger from time to time, whenever James needed some down time.

"Seriously, I'm all right, Julie. I just went to the infirmary to both pay a visit to the team, and get a clean bill of health from the doctor. He just bandaged me up, and gave me some meds. So as long as I take it easy, I should be just fine. Besides; this is an experiment I'm doing. How dangerous could it possibly be?" James replied.

"Ugh! You always were the stubborn one in our family." Spoke Julie.

A few seconds later; the scientist walked in the room, proceeding to speak. "You know, James. You should really let me examine the morpher further. It could still have a lot of functions that will remain inoperable until after the procedure."

"Look, Doc. You repaired it enough. You already told me it's primary functions are back online. Only a few minor features are offline." James replied.

"I understand that. But if you fly an aircraft that's only partially repaired, you'll crash." The Doc responded with a metaphor.

"Oh, come on! Again with the engineering metaphors, Doc?! Look, did you, or did you not say that the other functions aren't exactly crucial to this experiment?" Responded James.

"Well, yes But..."

"Then we've got nothing to worry about. This is just an experiment. One that the morpher can wait to get repaired, after." James retorted while interrupting the Doc.

"Fine! But just remember, unlike the other ones your team has, that morpher's a prototype. It's unique in almost every way. So if you break it, I'm not making you another one." Doc said. The experiment they were conducting was seeing how far back in time they could send it. What really made the Black Chrono Morpher differ from the others, was that it had a portable transwarp drive. Allowing its user to travel through time without the need of a timeship. "All right, the farthest you've ever gone back with this thing is a year. But let's see if we can make it send you back a few decades. Preferably, to before you were born." Doc said while commencing the experiment. "Okay, commencing time jump in 3... 2... 1." Doc finished. But to their surprise, the morpher teleported without James, as it disappeared off his wrist. "Well, that wasn't supposed to happen. I told you you should have let me examine it further. Then I could have prepared it so that wouldn't have happened."

"Okay, okay, lesson learned, Doc. Now just tell me where it went." James replied.

"Not where, when." Doc said while checking his computer to monitor the timeline. "And by the looks of it, I'd say it just landed in the early 21st century, in an alternate timeline, parallel to our own."

Silver Hills, Archaeological dig site, 2001, in the accurate timeline

The sun was shining brightly in the sky; as the Archaeologists worked tirelessly to excavate the artifacts that they had uncovered. One of them was a rather curious artifact that was found at the dig. It was a silver box, with a hole in the center of it, big enough for someone to stick their whole hand inside of. The box also had red markings on the sides. The people who dug it up, were oblivious to the drawings on the walls of the cave that it was found in. The drawings depicted images of a fierce, unusual looking T-Rex. No one at the dig site expected to find anything like that box. They expected to find ancient artifacts.

The events of the excavation, were then being televised. But no one could have predicted who would be seeing it on TV. At an undisclosed location, laid a taken over prison. The person who took over the prison, was a criminal by the name of Ransik. He was a Mutant from the year 3000. He was created through an accident; and the humans rejected him because of his deformity. So he started up his own crime syndicate. He gathered other mutants to fight against the humans. But they were all caught and imprisoned by Time Force, the law enforcement of the future.

Because of their crimes, mutants were placed in a state of cryogenic suspension. While Ransik was being captured, he escaped; and he took the cryo prison with him, when he traveled back in time to the early 2000's. His plan was to take over the world, centuries before Time Force even existed. Ransik had long black hair; and his outfit consisted of mostly black leather. He wore part of a metal face mask, on the left side of his face, to cover up his deformity.

Ransik saw the progress of the archaeological dig, on TV. He quickly identified the box that was found, as the "Quantum Controller." It was an item from Time Force. It held the powers of the Quantum Ranger. Which made it very powerful, and very dangerous. He had to retrieve it, before the Rangers got a hold of it. The Time Force Power Rangers, with the exception of the current Red Ranger, were a group of individuals that chased Ransik through time. Their goal was to bring him to Justice.

Ransik placed one of the frozen mutants, into a machine, and thawed him out. The thawed out mutant's name was Brickneck. Ransik tasked him with getting the control box, before the Rangers could. Brickneck was all too eager to serve Ransik, and destroy the Rangers.

Back at the dig site, the Archaeologists placed the box in a case; and was preparing to transport it to a second location, for further study. Then, everyone fell to the ground. Brickneck showed up with a squadron of Cyclobots. The Cyclobots were gold robots, with one huge red eye in the center of their heads. They also carried swords, that doubled as blasters.

"Thank you for wrapping it for me!" Brickneck joked. He walked up to the case, and picked it up. "Excellent!" He said in congratulations to himself. Then "The Silver Guardians" , the private security force of Silver Hills; arrived on the scene. They told Brickneck that he was trespassing on private property. Then they told him to hand over the case; and prepare to be placed under arrest. He laughed at this; and then the Guardians opened fire on him.

The Guardians managed to take down some of the robots with their blasters; but when that wasn't enough, they entered hand to hand combat. It was like one big free for all. During the fight, there was one member of the Silver Guardians, who was fighting the hardest. His name was Eric Myers. He tried to fight Brickneck, but he was instead thrown to the ground; while Brickneck raised his sword for the killing blow.

But his weapon was blocked by another sword, that was wielded by none other than the Red Ranger. The Red Ranger slashed Brickneck, and got him off of Eric; before the other Rangers arrived. Besides the Red Ranger, there was also a Pink Ranger, a Yellow Ranger, a Blue Ranger, and a Green Ranger. Their costumes had a bit of white mixed into them; and the visors of their helmets, all had a unique Arrowhead design on them.

The Red Ranger, Wes, helped Eric to his feet. But Eric just scoffed at him, and announced that he didn't need his help.

Eric was always jealous of Wes. He always thought that he was just a rich kid who had everything handed to him. Which made Eric feel as though he always had to prove that he was better than Wes. But Wes didn't care about any of that. He only ever wanted to be Eric's friend. Something that Eric was too bull headed to notice. During the fight, Brickneck tried to run off with the case; but then the Pink Ranger chased after him.

"You'll never have this!" Brickneck declared.

"The Quantum Controller doesn't belong to you. Give it up!" The Pink Ranger commanded.

"Don't make me laugh! You're pathetic, Pink Ranger. Oh, you may want this box. But you aren't going to get it, or its contents. Ransik is going to have the power of the Quantasaurus, and the Quantum Ranger; and there's nothing you can do about it." Unknown to Brickneck, Eric heard every word of their dialogue. The box that they were fighting over, held the powers of a new Ranger. If he could just get his hands on it; then he could become a Ranger. Then he would finally be able to prove that he was better than Wes.

Some of the other Rangers converged on Brickneck. Although, he remained unfazed. "It'll take more than you four to stop me!" Brickneck shouted.

"No problem." The Red Ranger yelled as he jumped down and slashed Brickneck in the chest. This caused him to drop the case; and the Red Ranger picked it up. "We'll take this, Brickneck." Brickneck threw his sword at the Red Ranger; when it missed, he opened fire with his blaster. The blast sent the Red Ranger flying across the field; and the box, to fall to the ground. The other Rangers went to go check on their friend. With this distraction, no one was paying any mind to the box. When no one was looking, Eric took the box and ran.

Brickneck ran to where the box was, hoping to retrieve it. "Huh? This can't be. It's gone." He said as it seemed to have vanished. "I'll have to find it later." He said as he teleported away.

The other Rangers ran to the down Red Ranger, seeing if he was okay. "Wes! He's in bad shape. We've got to get him back to the clock tower right away." Trip said, as they helped him to his feet.

"Let's go. Hurry!" Jen told them as they took Wes and started to regroup. While that was happening, the other Silver Guardians were looking for Eric as they called for his name, trying to find him.

Eric made his way to an empty warehouse; where he examined the contents of the case. It looked like a metal box, same as any other. But both the Rangers, and the bad guys wanted it. That made it special. "The Quantum Ranger powers." Eric said to himself, remembering that's what the mutant and Rangers were talking about. A smile formed on his face as he reached his hand inside the box, only for it to start glowing and release sparks, causing Eric to remove his hand and drop it. Eric didn't know what to do with it right now, so he picked it up and hit it behind a crate where no one would find it, then he would come back for it later.

Eric reported back to headquarters, for the time being. Bio-Lab was the headquarters of the Silver Guardians. It was run by a rich businessman, by the name of "Mr. Collins." He was the father of Wes. He wanted Wes to take over the family business someday. But Wes dreamed of carving out a future for himself, that was outside of his father's vision for him.

Eric approached Mr. Collins; and then he saluted him. This was his chance to finally rise up. They both knew that Wes was the Red Ranger. But Eric was going to be better. "Mr. Collins, sir; I understand that Commander Porter was injured. I'd like to take his place as leader of the Silver Guardians. There is no one more loyal, and dedicated than me. And I fight as well as your son, the Red Ranger; if not better."

"I need someone I can trust." Mr. Collins said before he turned to the Silver Guardian behind him. "You're in charge." The Guardian thanked Mr. Collins for his decision. Mr. Collins then turned to face Eric again. "I don't know the first thing about you." He said to Eric. After Eric saluted him one last time; Mr. Collins took his leave.

This annoyed Eric. It was like no matter what he did to prove himself; no matter how hard he tried, no one was willing to give him a chance. But he refused to let this stop him. "So, you're going to make it hard, are you? Well, I'll prove to you who the leader should be. Eric thought to himself.

At the Clocktower, the home of the Rangers; the others were trying to nurse Wes back to health. There was the Pink Ranger, Jen. Normally the Red Ranger would be the leader of the team; but the others normally took their cues from Jen, because she was the most experienced. Although, her and Wes had fallen into a sort of co-leader relationship. Lucas was the Blue Ranger; who also happened to be a race car driver in the future. The yellow ranger, Katie; was the strongest out of all of them.

Then there was the Green Ranger, Trip. He was an alien, that had a gem in the center of his forehead. It let him read other people's minds; as well as imbue him with psychic senses. He was also the Power Rangers resident genius. The Rangers had a robot that they brought back with them from the future. The robot was in the form of a blue and white owl. His name was Circuit. They acknowledged that they had to get the Quantum Controller back; but that didn't stop them from asking Circuit how it even ended up in this era in the first place.

Circuit told them that when Time Force first started experimenting with time travel; they sent the Q-Rex and the Quantum Controller through Time. But somehow, the two got separated; and we're both lost, somewhere in Time. So whoever gets the control box, would control the Quantasaurus. So the Rangers had to find it first. This was one race, that they absolutely couldn't afford to lose. Elsewhere, Brickneck was closing in on the control box; using a tracking device that he had.

Circuit alerted the Rangers that a mutant had been detected at the storage Depot. So the Rangers headed out, on their Vector Cycles, to the location of the depot. Not long after that, Wes woke up and wanted to join them; even though he was still injured.

The Rangers were on their way; until they ran into Brickneck. Brickneck gave the tracking device to the Cyclobots; and told them to keep looking, while he dealt with the Rangers. The Cyclobots continued the search, as Brickneck engaged the Rangers with his sword.

Meanwhile; the Cyclobots were using the scanner to search for the Quantum control box around the storage depot. Eric showed up at that moment to witness this. He knew what they were up to, and he decided that no one was going to stop him. He then ran towards them. "Hey, metalheads!" He said, getting their attention. He started fighting his way through them, trying to get to the top. So much so, he even went so far as to use one of their own blasters against them.

While this was happening; at the same time, the Rangers continued to fight Brickneck. Which they were having very little success with, as he blasted them to the ground.

Back with Eric: "Hey!" Eric said, getting the Cyclobots attention as he shot them with his blaster. He then proceeded to the spot where he left the box. He shot the Cyclobots standing in front of him, then picked up the box. Soon enough, Eric found himself on the roof; with Cyclobots aiming their blasters at him.

They shot at him; only for Wes to jump in and save him. They both fell from the roof, and through the door of another structure. But Wes cushioned the blow. They both rolled on the ground for a few seconds, till Eric looked up and saw who saved him. "Wes." He said with a less than pleased tone. They both started getting to their feet after that.

"Give me the box, Eric." Wes said while holding his hand out. Then more Cyclobots came inside, and they started fighting them. "You don't know what you have. Give me the box, and get to safety." Wes said to him midway through the fight.

"No way. It's mine." Eric replied, as they resume the fighting. Eric shot some of the Cyclobots with his Silver Guardian Blaster, until one of them grabbed him by the arm. He saw that three others were about to blast him, so he used the one holding him as a shield, as it dropped to the ground afterwards. After that; the Cyclobots shot at him again. They didn't hit him, but they did manage to send him to the ground from the explosion.

"Eric!" Wes said with concern. He tried fighting off the ones holding him, but was knocked to the ground. The Cyclobots blasted at Eric again, only for him to hold up the box, which deflected the blast. The box then started glowing. As the Cyclobots began approaching Eric, the box released some sort of energy that knocked them to the ground. This surprised both Eric and Wes. "Amazing." Wes spoke.

"It's now or never." Eric said.

At that moment, Circuit showed up, landing right near them. "Wes, hurry. You've got to stop him before he has a chance to activate the morpher." Circuit instructed him.

"Right." Wes said to Circuit. He then directed his attention to Eric. "Eric, hand it over."

"It's too late. No one stopping me now." Eric responded with determination in his voice.

"Don't do it." Wes begged.

Eric put the box down on the ground; and placed his left hand inside of the hole. In a flash of light, the box disappeared; and in its place, a black and red morpher was now resting on Eric's wrist.

"Eric, no!" Said Wes. Eric looked at it on his wrist for a bit, before Wes resume speaking and getting his attention. "Eric. You don't know what you're getting into. Listen to me, this is not about us. Please, don't do it."

"QUANTUM-POWER!" He shouted. For a brief moment, the word "FIRE" appeared on the screen of the Morpher; just before it started to glow gold. The Morpher gave off a huge discharge of electricity, which caused an explosion.

But when the smoke cleared; in Eric's place, stood a Ranger, clad in a red suit. His outfit looked similar to the Red Ranger's. But instead of the white areas; the Quantum Ranger had black. The arrow on his visor looked more rigid; and strapped to his right hip, was a blaster that was in the shape of the face of the Q-Rex. Wes was hoping that Circuit could tell him something about this new Ranger; but unfortunately, Circuit had no information.

Meanwhile, the other Rangers were having a bit of trouble with Brickneck. He shot at the Rangers, which made them stagger back. Then Jen pulled out her V-Weapon; it was a large blaster. She blasted at Brickneck; only for him to dodge, and shoot back. His shot hit Jen dead center in the chest; sending her to the ground. Her friends then tried to help her. "Jen, are you alright? He's just too tough for us." Katie said.

"Don't give up, Katie. No one's too tough for the Power Rangers!" Stated Lucas.

"Then let me introduce myself. I'm no one; and I'm too tough for the Power Rangers!" Brickneck quipped, as he pointed his blaster at them.

"This can't be happening!" Murmured Jen.

"Oh, but it is." Brickneck mentioned. But before he could blast them, his blaster was shot from his hand. The attack that made him drop his weapon, was so strong, that it sent a shockwave that knocked both him, and the Rangers off their feet. Then the only sound that could be heard, was clinking metal, as a person dressed in spandex red was tapping their blaster "The Quantum Defender" against their hand, which was emanating that sound. "Who did that? Where are you? Show yourself, right now!" Brickneck exclaimed. Once the Rangers traced the source of the sound, they directed their attention to the person who is making it.

"Who is that?" Jen wondered.

"I don't know." Said Lucas.

"He's on our side though?" Katie questioned.

"I hope he's on our side." Trip commented.

The person in red was revealed to be a red Power Ranger. He stopped tapping his blaster against his hand, causing the noise to cease. At first, the Rangers thought that it could have been Wes; but a second glance proved them wrong.

"Another Time Force Ranger?" Questioned Brickneck.

"Listen and learn, Brickneck. I'm not just any Ranger. I am the Quantum Ranger."

"I don't care what you call yourself. I'm calling you, destroyed. CYCLOBOTS!" Brickneck shouted. Then an army of robots appeared to do battle with the Quantum Ranger. But before that could happen, another blast was shot at brickneck and the Cyclobots, surprising everyone, even Eric. "Where did that come from?" Another sound of clinking metal could be heard. But this time, it was a person dressed in all spandex black, banging their signature saber weapon against the banister of the staircase they were on. "Who else is here? I'm in no mood for games. So come out, wherever you are!" Brickneck demanded. Again, they tracked this other noise back to the person who is making it. When they set their sights on the person in question, he stopped making that noise. Just like this newly arrived "Quantum Ranger", this person was also a Power Ranger, who had an arrow on their visor that was similar to the one Wes had. Except; his was black-ish/dark blue-ish, along with the rest of the color scheme of almost his entire outfit being black, with a little bit of white in the center of his chest surrounding a second version of the same arrow shape, in black. The last thing they noticed, was a big sword he was carrying in his right hand, with a blade as dark as the midnight sky.

"Y'know, I wasn't so sure about that whole "clinking metal" thing, you just did, at first. But you got to admit, it's a heck of a way to make an entrance. By the way, sorry. Didn't mean to step on your thunder." The Black Ranger said to the Quantum Ranger.

"Now, who are you supposed to be?" Eric asked him.

"We'll get to that later. But right now..." The Black Ranger took a dramatic pause, showing what he was holding in his left hand. It was Frax. The Black Ranger was restraining him with his left arm, surprising everyone present. "Does this belong to you? Because he's been bothering me all day." The Black Ranger finished his sentence, then threw Frax on the ground, next to Brickneck.

"Frax? What are you doing here?" Brickneck asked.

"Never mind that. Just destroy them." Frax said, then teleported away.

Brickneck directed his attention back to the Black Ranger. "Now for the last time. Who are you?"

The Black Ranger gave a slight laugh before speaking. "Fine. If you really want to know, I'll tell you. I'm the Black Time Force Ranger." He then directed his attention to Eric. "And I hope you don't mind the competition, other new guy. But I want to get in on this action too."

"Look, pal. You don't know me, and I don't know you. But I work alone. So I don't need your help." Eric responded to the Black Ranger.

"Oh, you don't get it. I'm not here to help you. As a matter of fact, I could really care less about helping you or anyone, for that matter. I'm just here to kick butt, no matter who's here to do it with me." Black Ranger retorted.

"Whatever. Just stay out of my way, got it?" Responded Eric.

"You took the words right out of my mouth. So you stay in your lane, and I'll stay in mine." Black Ranger said.

A few seconds after that, Brickneck sent the Cyclobots after them. "Give me a break." Eric said with sarcasm. Both the new Rangers shot a few of them, before the real fight began.

"Jen, who are those Rangers?" Lucas asked.

"I have no idea." Jen answered.

During this time, Wes had made it back to his friends; and told them everything that happened. "Guys. That's Eric. He used the Quantum controller to become the Quantum Ranger."

"Really?" Asked Trip.

"Well then who's that Black Ranger?" Katie questioned.

"What? A Black Ranger?" Wes said with shock, as he set his sights on the mysterious Black Ranger.

Both new Rangers jumped to the ground, getting ready for battle.

"Computer, assess strategy!" Eric commanded. Eric was receiving readouts in his helmet, that was helping him make decisions.

"Recommend, blaster mode." The computer spoke.

"Quantum Defender, blaster mode!" Eric then pushed a button on his blaster, before shooting the Cyclobots that circled around him. He blasted a few others, before more showed up. He was starting to think that this would never end. "These guys don't quit."

"Well, when in Rome. Computer, assess my strategy too!" The Black Ranger ordered into his own morpher, as he saw similar readouts in his own helmet.

"Recommend, Chrono Blaster."

"Well, I guess it makes sense to start with the basics." Black Ranger commented. "Chrono Blaster!" He exclaimed, deploying his blaster from his morpher, shooting the Cyclobots. He then materialized his V-Weapon from his morpher. "V-Six, fire!" He chanted as he blasted more of the robots with it.

"Blade mode, now!" Eric said as he pressed the button on the Quantum Defender. The handle of the blaster, slid back, as a big blade popped out of the front; turning the Quantum Defender into a sword. Eric used his sword to strike down the Cyclobots. One by one, they all fell. None of them were a match for him.

"Oh, swords? Now that's a good idea. Why didn't I think of that first?! Oh wait, I did." The Black Ranger said to Eric with sarcasm. "Chrono Saber Black!" Black Ranger chanted, as he materialized his two Chrono Sabers. "This is gonna be fun." He exclaimed as he began slashing what was left of the Cyclobots with his swords, as he also began to teleport while doing so, demonstrating that to be one of his powers. It really amazed the others.

Eric and the Black Ranger then started clashing swords with Brickneck; before all three of them took up a fighting stance.

"You two may have been able to defeat the Cyclobots. But you're no match for me!" Brickneck declared. He shot at Eric, but he managed to dodge it. Eric switched his weapon back to blaster mode, and managed to shoot Brickneck to the ground.

"My turn." The Black Ranger said. He then jumped in the air as an image of a purple clock appeared behind him, with his arms raised at 12:00. "TIME STRIKE!" He said as he swung his sabers down, bringing an energy slash to his opponent. "Oh, I'm not done yet. I've been dying to use this. Midnight Sword!" He exclaimed while pushing a button on his morpher. The same midnight black sword they saw him holding from before, materialized from his morpher. He then started slashing him with it a few times.

"Quantum Ranger, it is recommended that you use "Freeze Strike Mode" , as the best possible defense for you to complete your mission." The computer suggested.

Coincidentally; the Black Ranger's computer offered him suggestions at the same time. "Black Ranger, it is recommended that you use "Midnight Slash", as the most effective way to complete the mission."

"That's all I wanted to hear. Midnight Slash!" The Black Ranger exclaimed as the blade started glowing purple, with him charging at the mutant.

"Sounds good to me. Freeze Strike Mode!" Eric pushed the button, and changed his blaster back into a sword. The blade started to glow blue. The three of them clashed swords one last time; before Eric and the Black Ranger slashed him right across the chest. They continued to deliver slash after slash, until it was over. "Your time's up!" Eric said. This was followed by a big explosion as Eric returned his blaster to its holster; and at the end of it, Brickneck return to his miniature frozen state. And the Black Ranger dematerialized his Midnight Sword into his morpher, immediately after.

"Cryogenic freeze reconfiguration completed." Said both their computers. Both the new Rangers then started walking towards the others.

"The Quantum powers are unbelievable." Said Katie.

"But how is Eric going to use such power? And more importantly, who is this new Black Ranger" Circuit wondered aloud.

Wes approached Eric, standing a few yards from him before speaking. "Eric, are you all right?"

"Never been better." Replied Eric.

Eric left a few moments after that, and none of the other Rangers tried to stop him. Not that they could, even if they wanted to. "Now that we know about him, that only leaves one question. Who are you?" Jen asked the Black Ranger as Eric left.

The Black Ranger gave a slight laugh as a response. "Well, you guys don't just go around telling people who you are, whenever they ask, do you?" Suddenly; a green vortex-like portal opened not too far from them. "Huh, perfect timing." The Black Ranger said in response to that.

Exiting the portal was a 12 year-old boy with brown spiked up hair, brown eyes and glasses. Following after him, was a 15 year-old Asian girl with brown eyes and dark hair styled in pigtails with some pink dye added to it. Next; a woman who looked to be in her 30s, with blue eyes and dark hair tied in a ponytail, who also wore hospital scrubs with a tan-over jacket, stepped out of the portal next. Finally; a trio of giant robots were the last to exit the portal as it closed behind them. One of the robots was yellow, and seemed to only speak in beeping sounds. The second robot was big and green, with heavy-duty armor. And the last one was the only girl among the robo-trio. She had a slim figure, with blue armor that had a little bit of pink added to it. The Asian girl looked around a few times, till she spotted what she was looking for. "There he is." She said while pointing at the Black Ranger, causing her friends to set her sights on him.

"Whoa! What are those things?!" Wes asked his friends, in regards to the giant robots.

"I don't believe it. Those are Cybertronians!" Trip exclaimed with a mix of excitement and amazement.

"What are Cybertronians?" Wes asked.

"We'll explain later." Jen answered.

"Took you guys long enough. But on the other hand; you got here just in the nick of time, when all the bad guys are beaten with no one to interfere. Just how I like it." The Black Ranger said to the group who just arrived. "Just as well. But, I guess now it's time for me to go back to just being "basic." POWER-DOWN!" The Black Ranger said, pressing a button on his morpher as he de-morphed in front of everybody. Standing in his place was a 16 year-old boy with dark hair, blue eyes, a gray T-shirt with a white long sleeve shirt underneath, blue jeans and black sneakers.

The Rangers were shocked to see he was a kid. "Hey, he's just a kid." Katie exclaimed.

The boy; all the sudden, fell to the ground as he fainted, almost as if he was either hurt, or exhausted. "JACK!" The woman with the ponytail said, as she and the others ran to check on him. The Rangers then ran to his side, as well. "Jack, please wake up!" The woman pleaded.

"Okay, will someone please explain to me what's going on?" Wes spoke. Soon, the newly arrived group explained everything.

"It's a long story. But as for who we are; this is Raf Esquivel." The woman said, pointing to the brown-haired kid with glasses. He gave a nervous smile as a response. "That's Miko Nakadai." She said as she pointed at the Asian 15 year-old girl. Miko gave a thumbs-up while simply saying. "What's up?" But then she was over the moon with excitement, as she just realized they were talking to the Power Rangers. She even went on to say she was their biggest fan. "Okay, Miko, there'll be time for that later. These are our friends, Bulkhead." She pointed to the green giant robot with heavy armor and weapons. "Bumblebee." She gestured to the yellow robot, who responded in beeps. "And Arcee." She said while pointing to the only female robot with the blue and pink armor. "And this is my son, Jack." She spoke, meaning the unconscious teenager on the ground that wore the Black Ranger gear a moment ago. "Please, can you help him?"

"Well, what happened?" Jen asked in a concerning manner.

"We don't know. All we know for sure, is that he started acting different the moment he got that thing on his wrist." Arcee pointed at the morpher.

"A Chrono Morpher?!" Trip spoke with amazement at seeing another one.

"A Chrono-what?" Bulkhead questioned.

"There's no time for that now. Come on, we better get him back to the Clock Tower." Jen said.

Wes picked Jack up, carrying him in his arms. "Follow us!" He told Jack's friends, as he witnessed the robots transform into vehicles. Bumblebee transformed into a yellow sports car, with Raf and June hopping inside. Bulkhead transformed into a green SUV, as Miko got inside. Finally; Arcee turned into a blue motorcycle, displaying a holographic motorcycle rider on top, to avoid suspicion. "WOW! Well, I guess that's handy." Wes commented; before he and his friends proceeded getting Jack back to their headquarters, with the others following them from behind.

A/N: Sorry this took me so long to finish. But I had a hard time thinking of ideas. And as you may have noticed, the episode material is the same, until you reach the end. I copied and pasted the material from my other Power Ranger story, but only the episode material. I know I said I wasn't going to make that a habit, but honestly, it saves a lot of time. A few other things I'd like to address, before calling it quits for now. First of all; I don't know for sure if the Black Ranger from the comics has Chrono Sabers, a Chrono Blaster, or a V-Weapon. But considering the fact that she had a Chrono Morpher, she must have had all those other things, right? And for her weapons and zords, it said "to be added." So I'm just going to be taking liberties by making it up as I go along.

Second; I don't know if the Black Ranger could teleport in the comics. But given that the morpher gave its user the ability to travel through time, it stands to reason that it would allow them to teleport too, wouldn't it? And as for the part where the Midnight Sword was glowing purple when Jack helped finish off Brickneck; black doesn't really glow, since some people, "annoyingly believe" that Black's not a color, but the absence of color. I think that's more of a matter of opinion, actually. Anyway; the reason why I made the sword glow purple is because in some animation and other media I've seen, usually when something that's a certain color starts glowing, black starts glowing purple. I've seen it in various media, such as "Voltron Force", with how the Black Lion would sometimes glow purple. "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers", when the Black Rangers Power Coin glowed purple. And a whole mess of other media where the same thing happened.

Third; before I post this chapter, I'm going to type up the next two chapters, then post them all at the same time. It'll save me time that way. And it's just more fun like that. As for the scene where Jack was acting more arrogant than usual while wearing the Black Ranger gear, I'll explain that in the next chapter. So fasten your seatbelts, and enjoy the ride.
