A/N: I can't think of anything special to say. But, here's the next chapter. And I'm sorry if what I have to say isn't much. But I've been working on this story long enough, and I just want to get it done. Hopefully, before the day is over.
But don't misunderstand. I'm taking the story very seriously. I've just been staring at it on my Doc Manager for the longest time, while it remained unfinished. And I want that to be rectified. Now; I'll finish writing up the first three chapters first, then post them all at the same time to save time.
Now, that being said.
LET'S ZOOM THE COSMOS!
Silver Hills
The Quantasaurus continued to wreck the city. "I can't stop it. The Q-Rex is out of control." Eric stated to himself. Elsewhere, the other Rangers just watched, as it caused more havoc throughout the city. They took a few more looks, before either of them decided to speak.
The Green Ranger spoke first with. "We need help!"
"Right." Wes said. "Circuit, we need the Megazord!" Wes chanted into his morpher. Not long after that, Circuit received his request.
"You got it. Time Force Megazord, online!" Circuit said. The time flyers then came through the time vortex, arriving in the present. After the Rangers jumped inside; the Time Flyers formed Time Force Megazord, (Mode Red). The megazord did battle with the Q-Rex; but it was so tough. The Megazord was hit hard; causing Wes to tell his friends to hold on.
"Oh, man. This is all my fault." Eric said to himself.
Meanwhile, in the future; a mysterious figure sent the Time Shadow to help the Rangers. "The Time Shadow!" Trip said with excitement. As it arrived in the present to aid them.
"Perfect timing! With both of us, I think we'll have enough power to beat that." Jen said. Both Megazords prepared to do battle with the Q-Rex.
"Whoa! What's that?" Eric said, stopping in his tracks as he set his sights on the Time Shadow. It didn't take Eric long to figure it out. "It's here to help destroy the Quantasaurus Rex."
Not long after that; Jack and his friends arrived, standing not too far from Eric. "Whoa! Check out that megazord." Jack responded at the incredible sight of it.
"Now that's one cool megazord. He looks like a ninja." Miko commented, while also giving it a compliment.
"Oh, you guys are still here?" Eric said with sarcasm.
"Shut up!" Jack retorted. Jack then brought his attention back to the battle. "I just wish there was something that I could do to help them." Said Jack.
"Well, there's definitely something we can do." Arcee said as she transformed, Bulkhead and Bumblebee soon followed her lead.
"Whoa, whoa! What the heck are those things?!" Eric said referring to them, taking a few steps back.
"That's none of your business." Arcee replied to Eric.
"Arcee, are you sure about this? You'd be blowing your cover." Jack reminded her.
"Well, under the circumstances, I think even Optimus would approve." She responded.
"Yeah, I guess he would, wouldn't he? You call the shots, Arcee. So give the orders, and will follow." Bulkhead stated, drawing his blasters in response. Bumblebee did the same thing, responding in his beeps.
Arcee smiled at hearing that. "Bulk, you go left." She then directed her attention to Bumblebee. "Bee, you flank him from the right. I got the front." She drew her own blasters, as they ran to battle the Quantasaurus.
"I don't think so." Eric said, drawing his blaster, preparing to shoot them, until a hand grabbed him by the shoulder.
"Don't! Just, don't!" Jack said while holding his own Blaster up. This caused Eric to holster his weapon in frustration. The screen on Jack's morpher then started glowing, surprising him. "What the? What's going on?" He asked while taking a closer look at it. The light seemed to shine brighter, the more he pointed it in a certain direction. He moved his arm in a specific direction, until it started shining the brightest. His morpher was pointing at Time Shadow.
"Compatible zord frequency, detected." The computer said.
"Compatible zord frequency? What are you talking about?" Jack wondered aloud. Suddenly; Jack's suit started flashing gold as gaps started repeatedly appearing and disappearing, revealing his normal clothes underneath. His suit then started flashing on and off him, repeatedly. "Hey, what's happening?!" He voiced with concern.
"Jack, what's going on?" June asked him.
"I don't know." He replied.
"Activation limit approaching. 3 minutes of power, remaining." The computer informed him.
"Guys, I'm running out of power. I've got less than 3 minutes to stay morphed." Jack informed them, as his suit continued to flash on and off his body.
"Well that's not good." Raf voiced. The Autobots began firing at the Q-Rex, but it barely did anything, as it shot back at them, causing them to scatter.
Both Megazords fought with everything they had; and for a bit, they were winning. They even managed to wound the Q-Rex. They continued to press on with their assault. But at the last minute, the Quantasaurus got the upper-hand. It blasted them so hard, they de-morphed and fell out of their Megazord.
"Guys!" Jack shouted with concern for his friends, as he saw them hit the ground. His suit continued to flash on and off, till the computer warned him he only had a few seconds left. "Oh, no. I can't de-morph out in the open. Oh, but Eric, before I go." Jack said, getting Eric's attention. He then punched Eric in the gut so hard that he fell to his knees. "That's for both almost stranding us in the Jurassic period, and throwing us off your jet in the sky. You just can't do things like that, Eric." Jack then ran somewhere in private with his friends following him, as he forcefully changed back, with his suit disappearing completely.
"Estimated recharge time, one hour." The computer informed.
"Never mind that. Right now, we gotta help our friends. Come on, guys!" Jack said, as they ran to help the Rangers and the Autobots. They made it over to them, asking if they were okay. They responded by telling him they were.
Miko walked over to Eric, who was still struggling to stand from the gut buster he received. "Yeah, you totally deserved that. And for the record; we heard how you acknowledged this was your fault. And you couldn't be more right about that. Because if you had actually listened to Jack & Wes, and helped them like you were supposed to, in the Jurassic period, instead of picking a fight with them, like they said you did. Then the Q-Rex wouldn't be in the mutant's hands right now. So yeah, this is all your fault. So you roll that up, and chew on it!" She painfully reminded him, then walked back to her friends.
Eric finally got to his feet, but was still clutching his gut from all the pain. "Whatever, kid! I don't need this, anyway." He said, referring to Miko's "Blame Game" lecture. He then took his leave.
While the Rangers were wondering where the Quantasaurus went; Commandocon was ranting on about how this was just round one. He said that he'd be back for The knockout. The Q-Rex retreated to its lair. It laid down on the ground; as it prepared to heal from its injuries.
Bio-Lab
Eric was having a conversation with Mr. Collins. "There's no one better qualified to lead the Silver Guardians, now that I'm the Quantum Ranger." Eric said, pointing to the morpher on his wrist. But Mr. Collins didn't seem that convinced. He decided to voice his own opinion on the matter.
"I agree with you, that the Silver Guardians should be led by a Ranger. But not necessarily you." Eric developed a surprising look after hearing that. Mr. Collins turned around in his chair while continuing to speak. "No, I plan to have four more Time Force Rangers on my team. Rangers that control megazords." Mr. Collins proclaimed. Eric was disappointed to hear him say that. He began to take his leave. But stopped at the last minute; to ask him an important question.
"And what if I get control of the Quantasaurus Rex?" He asked Mr. Collins; who gave it some serious thought. A smile formed on his face as he turned back to face Eric.
"Well now, that would be impressive." He said to Eric, who took his leave after that.
Clock Tower
Circuit was briefing the Rangers; as well as Jack and his friends, on the Q-Rex's condition. "Although the Q-Rex is injured; it only needs a short time to heal its wounds. It's powers will be completely restored in just 2 hours. We've got to get the Quantum Morpher back."
Once they had a few minutes themselves after that lecture; Jack had something important to ask Trip. "Hey, Trip. Can I talk to you about something?"
"Sure, Jack. What's up?"
"Well, I was just wondering if there was a way to increase the power of my morpher. Because I was just lucky to beat Eric, today. But what about the next time? And his morpher makes him very powerful. So the next time I fight him, or a mutant, I want to be better." Jack said.
Trip formed a concerning look on his face. "Jack, I can't just tinker with your morpher. Like I said, I don't have the proper tools to repair it. And I'll have to make a special request to Time Force, so they can deliver the parts I'll need for that. But if I mess with it any further, you could damage it beyond repair. Or worse, the Black Ranger could end up taking control of you again."
"Look, Trip. I know the risks. I just want you to see what you can do, so I can better help you guys. Please!" Jack explained.
Trip thought about this for a few seconds, then released a sigh of defeat. "Okay, come on. We'll get started right away, and I'll see what I can do." Trip said.
Jack smiled at hearing that. "Thanks, Trip!" They then started to walk to his work bench. But then Jack remembered something at last minute, something that could be important. "Oh, wait. Trip, I almost forgot. Earlier today, during the battle, my morpher started acting strange the moment Time Shadow showed up."
"Strange? Strange, how?" He inquired.
"Well, it just started glowing when I pointed it at him." Jack explained.
This brought a look of curiosity to Trip's face. "Huh, that is weird. But I'm sure we'll figure it out once I take a look at it." Trip said.
Sometime later; Wes was waiting in the Bio-Lab lobby, as he saw Eric walking down the stairs. "You've got a lot of nerve coming here after the disrespect you've shown your father." Eric said, as he approached him.
"We need to talk." Wes said to him. He then took a look around, realizing it wasn't private enough. "Not here." He clarified. Eric gave a nod to that, as they began to leave the building.
A little while later, they stopped at an empty warehouse district to talk. "Now, what's so important?" Eric asked him.
"The Q-Rex will be back anytime now. You have to give me back that Quantum Morpher." Said Wes.
Eric looked at the morpher on his wrist in response to that. "If I can't control it, what makes you think that you can? You just don't want me to be the Quantum Ranger." Eric assumed.
"That is not what this is all about." Wes responded.
"It really burns you inside, that I have as much power as you do, doesn't it, Collins? Well, pretty soon I'll be the leader of the whole Time Force Rangers." Eric stated.
"You, leave the Power Rangers? What are you talking about?" Wes asked with curiosity.
Eric then turned his head towards him. "Oh, you didn't know?" He replied.
Meanwhile; back at the clock tower; the Rangers were trying to pinpoint where the Quantasaurus was. When suddenly, Mr. Collins walked in. "Mr. Collins! I'm sorry, but Wes isn't here." Jen said to him.
"I'm not here to see Wes." He responded as he continued to talk. "This place looks familiar to me." He said to his employee behind him.
"You own it, sir." He reminded Mr. Collins. That made the metaphorical gears in his head click as he remembered that to be true. Once that was out of the way, he decided to get down to business.
"No, actually, I have a business proposition for you. I want to hire you." Mr. Collins spoke to the Rangers
"Hire us?" Jen questioned.
Elsewhere, back with Wes and Eric. Eric went on and on with the supposed idea, that the Rangers would come work for Mr. Collins; and have Eric as their leader. The very idea, just made Wes laugh at that. "You must be joking. Because they would never, work for my dad."
"Don't be so sure, Wes. They want one thing..." Eric said while walking the opposite direction, before resuming to speak. "And that's to capture Ransik. With your dad's money and technology, they'll do it... A lot faster." He then turned to face him again. "They'd be fools to pass up the offer." He then saw the concerning look on his face, responding with a laugh. "You never thought about it, did ya? You only think about yourself, Wes." Eric again, started walking a few steps away before he continued to speak. "Typical spoiled rich kid. The truth is.." Eric took a pause to face him again. "Your friends are better off without you."
Everything he said unnerved Wes, before he took his turn at speaking. "I came here, for the morpher."
Eric developed an angry look on his face after hearing that. "You wanna save the city, you're gonna have to take it from me." Eric warned him.
"If that's the way it has to be." Wes replied.
Eric and Wes ran towards each other. "QUANTUM-POWER!" Eric shouted into the morpher, turning into the Quantum Ranger.
"TIME FOR TIME FORCE!" Wes shouted, morphing into the Red Ranger. They then started fighting.
Meanwhile; somewhere in the forest outside of Silver Hills, Commandocon was preparing to send the Q-Rex on another rampage.
"All right sleepyhead, nap time's over! Let's run some tests. Quantasaurus arise!" He said while fiddling with his remote control. Soon enough, it arose from its lair. "Good, now move this way!" He ordered. The Q-Rex began it's march to the city. "Hey slow down! Wait for me!" Commandocon said. But the Q-Rex continued to run. "I got to catch up with him. This, I can't miss!" Commandocon said with excitement, followed by a laugh. He began to follow it, the best he could.
Back with Wes and Eric. Eric made a jump for Wes, only for him to be grabbed and flipped to the ground by Wes. Eric kicked Wes in the chest while still on the ground, knocking him off balance. Eric rose to his feet, as he and Wes exchanged a few kicks between each other, until they both delivered a punch to each other's chests, knocking them both to the ground. They both got up after that. "Eric, listen to me. We don't have much time left."
"You mean "you" don't." Eric corrected.
"This isn't about me, Eric." Wes said.
"It's always been about you." Eric said, reminding him of how he's always been jealous of him.
"The Q-Rex is gonna destroy the city." Wes said. A roar was heard, causing Wes to look to his right, seeing the Q-Rex go on another rampage. "You gotta give me the Quantum Morpher, right now." The next thing he knew, Eric unholstered his blaster, shooting at the ground near him, knocking him to the ground.
"Stay out of my way, Wes. I can handle the Quantasaurus Rex." Eric said while walking closer to him, still pointing his blaster dead on him.
"No you can't." Said Wes.
"Just watch." Said Eric. He was about to make his chase after the Q-Rex, until spontaneous laser blasts hit the ground in front of him, stopping him in his tracks. He looked in the direction it came from.
It was Jack in his Black Ranger gear, riding on Arcee in motorcycle form, accelerating towards Eric. "That's far enough, Eric." Jack said. He then jumped off of Arcee and in the air, with his Chrono Sabers as he made that purple clock symbol behind him. "TIME STRIKE!" He said as he delivered an energy slash to Eric with both his sabers. The attack made Eric fall to the ground. "You know, Eric. I may not have known them for very long. But I'm getting really tired of seeing you hurt my new friends. And it stops now. Because from now on, you'll always have me to deal with too. And as you probably noticed by now, I'm a lot stronger than I was, since last time. Because before coming here, I asked Trip to juice up my morpher. The only problem is, my morph time is shorter now. Now, I can only stay morphed for 1 hour. I've got 59 minutes left. And trust me, you don't want to see what I can get done in five. I also heard your little conversation. And like I said, I may not have known them for very long. But I agree with Wes. There's no way the Rangers would ever work for Mr. Collins, especially if it means having a leader like you."
"You know what, Darby? I've had enough of you!" Eric shouted, getting back to his feet, blasting him with his Quantum Defender, sending him to the ground. "You were right about one thing, kid. This does end now." He said as he approached him with his blaster.
"NOOOO!" Arcee shouted, transforming and shooting at Eric. Eric dodged it, and shot at her, hurting her a bit.
Jack took notice of this, getting angry from it. He got to his feet, directing his attention to Eric. "Eric, that... is... it!" He shouted while running at him. "Midnight Sword!" He exclaimed while pushing a button on his morpher, materializing his signature weapon. He teleported, disappearing till he was right in front of Eric. "MIDNIGHT SLASH!" He said as his sword glowed purple, delivering a powerful finisher attack to Eric, knocking him down again. "Nobody hurts my friends, Eric. Nobody."
Eric got up, and started running after the Q-Rex, with the others following.
Commandocon continue to give the Quantasaurus more power; so it could destroy the city. Jack, Eric, Wes and Arcee approached the other Rangers. Along with them, came Bulkhead, Bumblebee, June, Raf and Miko. "They're my Rangers now." Eric declared. "All right, fall in line!" He ordered. But they, as well as Team Prime; just ran right past him, towards Jack and the others.
"Wes, Jack, Arcee! You're finally here." Jen said with relief
"Yeah, are we glad to see you guys!" Trip spoke with enthusiasm
"I don't know why you guys are so happy to see them. They're not on your team anymore." Eric stated.
"That shows how much you know." Jen responded.
"Yeah, we told Mr. Collins, we weren't interested in his offer." Trip clarified.
"Right, we decided we like our team, just the way it is." Said Katie.
"Thanks, guys!" Wes said while resting a gratifying hand on Katie's shoulder. Then directing his attention back to Eric. "That's what team work's about."
"Told ya so!" Jack sarcastically remarked to Eric.
"You'll regret this!" Was all Eric had to say to them.
Circuit contacted the Rangers; informing them that he's called for the Time Flyers. Now they could stop the Quantasaurus Rex. After hearing that, the Rangers and Team Prime ran towards the Q-Rex. Eric wished them luck; for whatever it was worth. Soon enough, the Time Flyers and Time Shadow arrived. They then formed the Shadow-Force Megazord, (Mode Red). The Rangers prepared to do battle with the Q-Rex. But at the last minute, Commandocon grew to gigantic size. He wanted a piece of the Rangers too.
He ordered the Quantasaurus to attack them. It did just that. On a rooftop not too far from there; Eric witnessed the whole thing. "Oh, man. They think they can handle the Q-Rex alone. If I don't help, they could be destroyed."
"Quantum Ranger. The voice identification for the Quantasaurus is blocked. It will not respond to your commands." The morpher's computer informed him.
"I know. I've got to do something. Q-Rex, obey my commands." He gave as a command. but nothing happened. "Quantasaurus Rex, I order you to stop."
"You must find the blocking device, and destroy it." the computer instructed.
At that moment; Jack and his friends arrived on the same rooftop as Eric. "I can't get away from you, can I?" Eric sarcastically questioned.
"Don't flatter yourself, Eric. We're here to help our friends." Jack remarked. He then took notice of the megazord getting beaten. "Guys!" He shouted with concern. Then, he noticed his morpher glowing, same as it did before. He pointed it at the Shadow-Force Megazord, making it shine brighter.
"Compatible zord frequency, detected." His computer said, just like last time.
"There you go again. But what are you talking about?" Jack asked.
"There is a non-pilot megazord with a compatible frequency, present. The frequency has currently been adjusted to your morpher. If you issue an order, the megazord will be yours to command." His computer clarified.
"Whoa, no way!" Jack said with amazement.
Eric pulled out his weapon. Hey Q-Rex, I'm over here!" He blasted at it with his Quantum Defender. That got its attention; making it approach Eric. The Rangers told Eric to run. "Hey, there's the blocking device!" Eric spoke. He saw the device in question with his helmet's scanner. Eric blasted the device; blowing it right off the Q-Rex's head. "Quantasaurus! Listen to my voice! I command you to stop!" Eric ordered; with the Quantasaurus getting dangerously close to him.
"Checking voice match." the computer said.
"That's it." Eric said. This new turn of events caught Commandocon by surprise. He couldn't believe he lost control of the Q-Rex. "You are now under my control." Then his computer confirmed everything was okay.
"Voice identification, confirmed."
While this was happening; Jack decided to put his theory to the test as well. "Issue a command, huh? Okay, then. Time Shadow." He spoke into his morpher. This caused the megazord to acknowledge him.
"Hey, what's going on? We didn't do that." Jen said, as they all noticed the megazord moved on its own.
"I don't know." Lucas replied.
"Checking voice match." His computer said the same thing as Eric's.
"Umm... Shadow-Winger... Take flight?" Jack issued that command in the form of a question, not sure if that would actually work.
"Voice identification, confirmed." His computer, again, said the same as Eric's. The Shadow-Force then separated, as the Shadow-Winger flew off of the Time Force Megazord.
"No way! That actually worked?!" Jack said with disbelief.
"Replenish power!" Eric ordered; with the Q-Rex now reaching optimal levels.
"Hey, it looks like Eric's got control of the Q-Rex." Trip spoke.
"Yeah, it sure does." Wes said with a less than enthused voice.
"And it looks like Jack's got control of the Time Shadow too." Katie spoke.
"Oh, so that's why his morpher was reacting to it, earlier." Trip said with amazement.
"Wait, you knew about this?" Jen commented.
"I'll tell you about it later." Trip replied.
"Attack the mutant!" Eric ordered, and pushed a button on his morpher. The Q-Rex approached Commandocon; taking up a dinosaur-like fighting stance. Commandocon dared the Q-Rex to give him its Best shot. "Q-Rex Lasers, Target, and fire!" Eric shouted into the morpher. The Q-Rex blasted him with his cannons.
"Now it's your turn, Time Shadow. Winger Lasers, fire!" The Shadow-Winger fired its lasers at Commandocon, causing him damage. He tried shooting back, only for Jack to issue his second order. "Camouflage Mode." The Shadow-Winger then cloaked itself from sight, continuing its attack.
The morpher's computer began to speak again.
"Quantasaurus Megazord Mode, online."
"Quantasaurus Rex, Megazord Mode!" Eric commanded, and pressed a button on the morpher. The Q-Rex raised its torso; until it was standing perfectly like a person. Its dinosaur arms began to rotate and become replaced. There was a close fisted left hand; and a revolver missile launcher for a right hand. Lastly, its head lowered and connected to its chest. A Megazord head then revealed itself. "Megazord Mode transformation, complete!" Eric stated. The Q-Rex took up a fighting stance; while the Rangers and Team Prime began to voice how amazing it was.
"Time Shadow Megazord Mode, operational." Jack's computer said. It also told Jack that he only had 5 minutes of power remaining, which he saw on the timer clock in his helmet. But he knew that was more than enough time to get the job done.
Jack, meanwhile, was still blown away that he now had his own zord. "Wow! This is unbelievable. All right, Time Shadow, let's help our friends, and give the Quantasaurus a hand. Time Shadow, Megazord Mode!" The Shadow-Winger then began its transformation. Two parts underneath joined together, forming the torso, as a pair of arms emerged after that. Its front opened, as a head emerged from within, as the front closed. The torso folded forward, connecting to the front more thoroughly, till it stood like a proper megazord. The fin on its head moved, and the front of its face opened up, revealing blue eyes. Finally; a pair of blue sabers ejected from both its legs, connecting to its hands, as it landed on the ground.
"Whoa, that is so cool!" Miko exclaimed, complimenting the ninja-like megazord.
"Quantum Missiles, fire!" Eric ordered. The megazord fired its revolver missiles at Commandocon; causing him some serious damage.
Jack pressed a button on his morpher, issuing his own command. "Shadow Missiles, fire!" Time Shadow fire the missiles from his shoulders, causing more damage to Commandocon.
"Activate the Quantum Thunder Fist!" Eric issued his third attack. The Q-Rex launched its left fist at Commandocon, with rocket speed. The impact sent him off his feet and flying through the air. He landed on the ground, hard.
The Time Shadow started slashing Commandocon with the twin blades on both its hands, after he got up. "Crescent Moon Saber!" Jack commanded, as the blades ejected off the Time Shadow's hands, forming a double-edged saber shaped like a crescent moon. Time Shadow placed the saber on its right hand, delivering strikes against Commandocon, knocking him down again.
"Recommend, using the Max Blizzard to complete the mission." Eric's computer suggested.
Coincidentally; Jack's computer was giving him similar advice. "Recommend, using Shadow Strike to accomplish the mission."
Works for me." Jack replied.
"Alright, one final assault should do it. Max Blizzard, online!" Eric chanted.
"SHADOW STRIKE!" Jack exclaimed into his own morpher. As Commandocon coward in fear; the Q-Rex shot green lasers from its shoulders, and The Time Shadow charged forward with the thrusters on its back, delivering a double slash with its saber. The lasers and saber strikes hit Commandocon with all the power they had; freezing him in place.
"Sorry, Commandocon. But your time's up!" Eric stated.
"What he said." Commented Jack.
Commandocon resumed moving; only to be shrunk down to his frozen, miniature, action-figure-like state. The Q-Rex returned to its dinosaur form; with Eric jumping on its head, afterwards. The Q-Rex let out a roar, before Eric spoke again. "Yeah. I knew I would be able to gain control of the Q-Rex."
At that moment; the Time Shadow turned back into its Winger Mode, with Jack jumping on top, addressing Eric right in front of him. "Eric, you know this is only going to end well for all of us if we all work together, right? Because that's the thing about being a Power Ranger. Our power's meant to be shared among our teammates, not taken all for ourselves."
"I work alone, Darby. I don't need yours, or any of their help." Eric sternly remarked.
"Fine. But just remember, you're not the only one who got a new megazord, today. I've got one now too." Jack reminded him.
"Yeah, but mine's more powerful." Eric replied.
"We'll see about that soon enough." Jack said while pointing at Eric. Jack then looked down at the Time Shadow. "Come on, Time Shadow. Let's go." It did as he said, flying them both away.
Meanwhile, back with the Rangers on the ground. "Rangers, it appears that the Quantasaurus Rex and the Time Shadow are completely under their respective control now." Circuit informed them as they were observing them from a distance.
"Yeah, well, I don't think we have anything to worry about from Jack. Even though he's new to being a Power Ranger, I think we can trust him. But what's a guy like Eric gonna do with that much power?" Asked Jen.
"I don't know. He's a loose cannon." Circuit replied.
"Maybe he's not all that bad. Who knows? He may surprise us all, and show us a different side." Trip said.
"I really hope you're right, Trip." Wes replied.
"But that still doesn't explain how Jack got control of the Time Shadow in the first place. Circuit, how'd that happen?" Asked Katie.
"I don't know that either. I'm just as confused as you are, Rangers." Circuit replied.
Bio-lab
Eric walked into Mr. Collins's office. He took his hat off and gave a salute before speaking. "I've got control of the Quantasaurus Rex."
This made Mr Collins smile. "Well I see I'm not the only person around here with a little ambition." He said as he got up from his chair, walking toward Eric and shaking his hand. "You're the new leader of the Silver Guardians."
"Sir." Eric said, giving a salute and turning around. As he turned around, he gave a smile of pride to himself, thinking he finally proved himself to be the best, as he took his leave.
Clock Tower
The Rangers and human members of Team Prime were in the lobby. "Are you guys sure you made the right decision?" Wes asked his friends.
"What do you mean?" Katie replied.
Wes turned to face his friends before continuing. "Well, you might catch Ransik faster if you teamed up with my dad."
"No way. We don't need..." Katie was interrupted before she had a chance to finish.
Jen interrupted, by raising her hand in a stopping motion before speaking. "Hold on, Katie. Maybe we didn't think it through, right?" She looked at Trip after saying that.
"What?" Trip asked.
"Well... I was just thinking... Wouldn't it be nice to move out of this cold clock tower?" She then pointed at Lucas. "And you could drive one of those cool SUVs?" That made Lucas release a hum at that idea. "And no more odd jobs. Maybe it's not such a bad idea after all, right?" Jen finished. This caused a disappointed look to emerge on Wes's face. Even the other Rangers and the human members of Team Prime had surprised looks on their faces. "Hello... I'm just kidding." Jen said with an amused smile on her face.
"Jen, you've never told a joke in your life." Spoke Katie.
Jen gave an amused look as her reply. She then took a look at Wes. He returned a mixed look of relief and humor. "I'm gonna get you." He said with humor, running towards her. She ran up the stairs of the tower in response, with the others chasing after her, including Team Prime.
A little while after the chase was over; Jack had something important to ask them while they were lounging around the living quarters. "Hey, guys. Speaking of odd jobs. I was just wondering. Got room for another applicant?"
This brought surprise to all their faces. "But, Jack. What about your job back in Jasper?" Jen asked.
"Yeah, you know, the one at the K.O. drive-in?" Said June.
"Yeah, about that... I quit." He replied. This brought more surprises to them. "Yep, just this morning. When the Black Ranger was in control, he was right about one thing. I never liked working there anyway. So I figured... It's better if I work with friends."
"But how will you commune between here, and Jasper? I mean, I don't think Optimus is just going to let you keep Ground Bridging here, unless it involves something important." Lucas wondered aloud.
"Oh, that's easy. I'll just use my morpher to teleport back and forth whenever I need to." He told them. Soon; a debate broke out, about how he shouldn't just use his morpher for small things like that. They even told him that just because he can become a Power Ranger, doesn't mean he should. Especially since he's got control of it now. He fought back with his own argument; saying that until he got the morpher off, he wants to help them out with fighting mutants. Even his own team, with the exception of Miko, thought it was a bad idea. But he owed them. If it wasn't for them, he never would have gotten control of the morpher in the first place. After enough reasoning and asking, he finally managed to convince them to agree to those terms. After that was done; he started talking to Miko and Raf. "Still can't believe that not only am I a Power Ranger now, but I also got my own megazord. And a cool one, at that."
"Yeah, that's pretty impressive." Raf replied.
"Yeah... You get the cool ninja themed megazord, and I don't." Miko said in a jealous manner.
In an attempt to cheer her up, Jack put his arm around her shoulder and started speaking. "Ah, don't worry, Miko. Because in case you forgot, whether I like it or not, we share this morpher, remember? So I'm sure you'll get your chance to use it, soon enough."
Elsewhere
Eric was exiting the Bio-Lab building. "Eric Myers?" He heard a voice say.
"Who's asking?" He asked and turned around in response; only to receive a slap across his face. He took a moment to collect his senses, before laying eyes on the person who slapped him. It was June Darby, and she didn't look happy.
"That's for almost stranding my son in the Jurassic era, and for throwing him off your jet, while also hurting him a few other times." June said to him in a stern voice.
Eric decided to fight back with his own argument. "Well your son needs to learn to mind his own business."
This earned him another slap to the face from June. "That's for saying something rude." She then slapped him one more time. "And that's for thinking something bad, just now." She said while guessing he was thinking something not good, given that he was just slapped twice. "Look here, Mister. This whole "Lone Wolf" thing you got going on, may fly wherever it is you're living. But that doesn't mean that good people like the Power Rangers, or my son and his friends have to get hurt, because of it. So if you ever mess with them again, you'll have to deal with me. Got it?!"
Eric formed an annoyed look on his face in response to that. "Yeah, I got it!" He said with spite.
"Good!" June said, while taking her leave. She then stopped in her tracks at the last minute, pulling a 180 and slapped him in the face one last time, even harder than the last. "And that was just because I felt like it." She left immediately after that.
Meanwhile, in the year 3000
The mysterious figure was running tests on the Time Shadow. "All tests confirmed. The Time Shadow has a new operator." His computer stated. This brought concern to the person. This wasn't supposed to happen. He was now thinking of what to do about this.
A/N: Now you know why I call it Midnight Shadow. Because it said in the Black Ranger's trivia, that there sometimes referred to as the Midnight Ranger. And because I gave him control of the Time Shadow. I hope these chapters weren't too boring. I really did, try my best to make them not suck. And I hope you like the names I made up for the attacks he and The Time Shadow used.
And it did say in the Black Ranger's trivia, that it's implied, the Time Shadow was meant to be given to them as their personal megazord, but it was never confirmed. So I hope by writing this story, I'm doing that theory Justice. And normally, the Dragonzord's my favorite solo zord. But I'd be lying if I said I didn't love the Time Shadow too. And honestly; what's not to love?
I mean, seriously, it looks like a ninja. Who wouldn't love that? And, hello?! He's also got a really cool name. And I can't wait to write, and see how Jack's going to use it in future chapters. I've got big plans for it, count on that. I've also got something special in store for Miko. Just you wait.
