Freya and Vision fly across Westview at his top speed. She's itching to go faster, so she takes the lead and guides him toward his wife. A whirlwind of emotions can be felt from Wanda. Confusion and interest, then, fear and anger. She can feel Billy's mind brush against hers as he reaches out to her for help. Allowing her to feel his terror. Reaching her mind out to her team, she initiates a group connection.
"Something's happening," she tells Vision, Darcy and Steve.
"What's wrong?" Steve asks quickly.
"Is it my family?" Vision asks.
"Is everyone okay?" Darcy asks next.
"I don't know the answer to any of those questions..." Freya frowns. "It just feels like something's wrong. And I just realized that I can't sense Monica now. I don't know what's happening."
"Please, be careful," Steve stresses.
"I will," Freya tells him. "I promise."
"I won't let anything happen to your wife, Captain Rogers," Vision reassures him.
"Thank you, Vision," Steve replies.
Freya drops the connection and focuses on the fast approaching signature of Wanda. Who's starting to panic. Panicking now herself, Freya blasts ahead and sees a white figure holding Wanda in the air by her head. When she gets closer, she can now recognize Vision's form. She gasps, realizing it's the original Vision that Hayward had brought back. Freya flies in, now able to hear Wanda's screams of pain. Freya hits White Vision at high speed with her shoulder. He goes tumbling down the street until Vision flies in, forces him into the ground and pushes him along the street. He then throws White Vision down the street into an RV that sits in the driveway of a neighboring house. It explodes on contact, sending a large ball of fire into the air.
"Wanda!" Freya cries out. She helps Wanda to her feet and pulls her into a tight hug.
"Freya! Oh, my God, thank you!" Wanda gasps out. She pulls back and the look on her face screams guilt. "I'm so sorry. For all of this. For everything. For-"
"Tampering with my memories?" Freya asks with a raised eyebrow.
"About that..." Wanda begins hesitantly. "I'm so ashamed for doing that. I didn't want you to worry, so I lied about seeing a doctor. Then, I felt bad for lying to you. So, I removed the memory while you were sleeping the next night..." Wanda explains. "I'm so sor-"
"If you tell me you're sorry one more time, I'm gonna smack you," Freya grins. Wanda grins back in reply and pulls her in for another hug.
"I've missed you so much, Frey," Wanda sighs.
"I've missed you too, Wan," Freya smiles. Vision flies back to them and lands at their side. The expression on his face full of worry.
"Where are the boys?" Vision asks.
"They're in the house. Safe," Wanda answers. "Vision... I should've told you everything. The moment I realized what I'd done."
"It's alright, Wanda," Vision consoles her. "Freya helped me understand why you made this world. But this...-"
"I can fix it," Wanda says quickly.
"Can you?" Vision questions uncertainly.
"How can you fix it, Wanda?" Freya asks.
"I... I..." Wanda stutters out. Her eyes avert down the street, making the other two look as well. They can see White Vision starting to emerge from the flames of the destroyed RV, completely unharmed.
"Oh, this is awkward," a new voice says. Agnes suddenly appears out of no where above Wanda and Vision's house. She's dressed in this odd outfit that makes her look like she's from another time period. "Your ex and your boyfriend together at the same party. Who ya gonna choose, Wanda?" Agnes asks.
"I knew you had something to do with this, Agnes," Freya growls.
"Hello there, dearie. It's actually Agatha Harkness. Pleasure to meet you, Freya," Agatha purrs.
"Agatha?" Freya whispers to Wanda.
"Yeah, I don't know," Wanda mumbles. She turns to Vision with a determined look. "Vision, this is our home."
"Then let's fight for it," Vision nods. He turns and flies off down the street where him and White Vision collide mid air and fly up into the sky where they continue to fight.
Without a word, Agatha dissipates in a cloud of purple smoke. She reappears down the street as she flies toward the downtown water tower. Wanda looks over at Freya and frowns.
"You can't get in the middle of this, Frey. The babies..." Wanda whispers.
"I know," Freya sighs. "Don't worry, I won't risk my pregnancy. But I'm still gonna help out in any way that I can."
"Thank you," Wanda nods.
"You should know by now that I'd do anything for you, Wanda," Freya smiles.
"I know," Wanda smiles back. She nods her head toward the direction of Agatha. "Let's go kick her ass."
Freya nods and they both take off into the air. While flying there, she keeps glancing over at Wanda. There's a feeling nagging at her. She finally sighs and speaks up.
"I feel like there's something you're leaving out, though, Wanda," Freya says. It takes a moment for Wanda to reply, but she finally does after a deep sigh.
"Agatha called me the... Scarlet Witch," Wanda admits. "She keeps saying I'm a witch. That I already had powers before I came into contact with the Mind Stone."
"As much as it bothers me to say this, I don't think she's wrong about the last part," Freya tells her.
"Really?" Wanda asks.
"Mhm," Freya nods. "I already had powers before the Mind Stone, so why can't you?"
"I guess I can see that," Wanda mumbles while the wind whips through their hair.
They both go silent as they fly into the heart of downtown. Their full concentration now on locating Agatha. Slowly lowering themselves to the ground, they carefully begin to walk down the street. Their eyes peeled for anything suspicious as the townspeople continue to go about their normal day-to-day routines. Watching them makes Freya feel extremely uncomfortable. They aren't doing it under their own free will. Wanda's making them do this. Freya glances over at Wanda, who glances back at Freya.
"Your thoughts are extremely loud right now," Wanda frowns guiltily.
"I'm sorry," Freya scrunches her face up in apology. "But, this is wrong, Wanda."
"I know, I'll fix it," Wanda tells her before she starts to jog.
Freya catches up to her and falls in place on her right. A white, Buick box van begins to drive down the street toward them. A man, that Freya recognizes as the mailman, sticks his face out, smiles and waves.
"'Don't shoot. I'm just the messenger'," the man tells them as he toots the car horn and drives away.
"That was odd," Freya mumbles to herself.
Continuing down the street at a walk now, Freya and Wanda can't see any sign of Agatha. Suddenly, Freya's stomach drops in a sickening feeling. Turning, she shoves Wanda out of the way and throws up her left hand. She does so just in time to catch a large, purple ball of energy being thrown right at Wanda's back. Eyes now ignited in anger, Freya looks up at Agatha, who's on a nearby rooftop. Agatha's face is one of pure shock. Her eyes widen and her mouth drops open when Freya seems to act on instinct and closes her hand into a fist. Agatha's purple energy dissipates while Freya's eyes briefly glow a muted shade of purple before returning to their normal glow. A shiver travels down Freya's spine. She feels... good. Not just good. Empowered. Agatha's energy... Freya had just absorbed it. The feeling coursing through her veins is almost intoxicating. Shaking her head, Freya pushes the feeling away and lets her eyes go back to their normal emerald green as her hand falls to her side.
"It can't be..." Agatha whispers.
"Are you okay?" Wanda asks.
"Yeah," Freya nods, her eyes not leaving Agatha.
"I can't believe it," Agatha says louder this time.
"Believe what?" Freya asks. Agatha's eyes widen in confusion this time.
"You don't even know, do you?" she asks.
"Know what?" Freya presses impatiently.
"What you are."
Freya's eyes widen before narrowing in suspicion at the other woman.
"What are you talking about?" Freya asks. Agatha waves her hands and a large, ancient book appears out of thin air and floats before her.
"Poor Wanda here didn't even know she's the Scarlet Witch. Wanda, did you know that there's an entire chapter devoted to you in the Darkhold?" Agatha asks before looking at Freya. "And you... There's an entire separate book of the Darkhold dedicated to you."
"Just get to the point!" Freya snaps. Agatha scoffs at her before letting out a patronizing laugh.
"You're not just a Nexus being like Wanda. You are the Nexus, Freya."
AN: Freya is now confirmed, in my books, to not be just a Nexus being, but is the Nexus herself. If you don't know what the Nexus is in Marvel Comics, you can look up "The Nexus of All Realities". The Nexus is basically a gateway to all and any possible reality. Which can also include in between realities. So, technically, she can exist out of time.
