It's been a week since the battle of the bridge, as the people of wave celebrate the death of Gato, as Tazuna finished the bridge connecting Wave to Fire Country.
Naruto has been labelled the hero of Wave for not only helping the people but delivering them the one that torments them. He avoided a few people as some fangirls kept trying to find him.
The fan girls weren't the only ones annoying him, none of the Konoha genins won't leave him alone. Team 7 Sasuke, Sakura and Team 12's Menma keep pestering him on how he fought off both the Akatsuki and the Mist missing nin.
Even his teammates Satsuki and Yukumo are trying to get him to open up with what happened at the bridge.
"I threw cement dust at them and they ran away, that's it" Naruto stated without much care, walking away from any more questions of the annoying genin.
Don't get him started on the Jonin, Kakashi keeps asking about what jutsu he used or taijutsu, Naruto told him he made it up while walking away.
And his mother keeps looking at him in shock and worry after waking up, seeing all her children still here after the Akatsuki left is a huge weight off her shoulder as she hugs them all, much to Naruto's nerves.
Even Itachi and his sensei Yugou keep looking at him with suspicion and interest; they haven't said anything but he knows they keep a closer eye on him than ever before.
Only his sister keeps her distance but still looks at him weirdly.
That wasn't the biggest issue he had to deal with.
Flashback
"What the hell is that?!" Menma shouted, pointing at the huge mutant brown American pit bull, sitting down on the porch as Inari pats the giant dog with all the konoha shinobi look shocked and stares at the Butch while Naruto sits next to him.
"This is Butch, he is a dog I found in the forest and now I'm taking him with me," Naruto explains, petting the large dog, sticking his tongue out.
"That one of Ryōken Inuzuka mutants nin dogs!" Kakashi pulls out a kunai ready to kill the beast, growling at Kakashi but Naruto stands up.
"So what, just cause his breeder was a missing nin doesn't mean Butch is bad" Naruto calls out, standing in front of Butch protectively.
"That dog is very bad Naruto," Kushina said, afraid of the dog near her son.
"Naruto ... .that dog was bred to be aggressive and dangerous" Yugou points at the dog but Naruto stands up.
"But he is also loyal, he trained like the Inuzuka dogs" Naruto defends as Butch leans to Naruto, letting Naruto pet him as he smiled, a smiled Kushina never saw before.
"How did you get that dog to like you?" Yukamo asked, looking at the large dog almost half of Naruto size, Butch looked curious at her.
"Mostly pets and scratched behind the ear" Naruto states as Yakumo slowly reached for the large mutant dog, slowly scratching behind his ears as the dog stuck his tongue out as Yakumo smiled as his happy face.
"Oh surprising….he likes you" Naruto looks slightly surprised at Butch taking a liking to Yakumo.
"He looks…cute" Satsuki said, trying to show Naruto support, petting the large dog as enjoying the love.
"Guess he likes you too" Naruto nods at them as he turns to the jonin, Kushina smiles.
"Maybe Naruto has tamed one of them," Kushina said, seeing her son happy with the dog, Yugou thinks about this but Kakashi shakes his head.
"That thing is a wild animal that needs to be put down" Kakashi pulls out a kunai ready to finish it off, but Butch growls and jumps forward growling.
Butch opens his mouth, spits out a fireball in front of Kakashi, and he jumps back in fear.
"He breathes fire?!" Sakura screams in shock, Inuzuka dog nins don't know any element jutsu.
"I know isn't he awesome, who is a good boy, who learns fireball jutsu, you did, yes you did yes you did" Naruto playing with the mutant dog as the adults don't know what to do. Mito steps forward
"If the dog only attacks when threatened, then let Naruto-nin keep it for the village on how to deal with the others out there" Mito spoke in defence of her brother, getting looks from everyone.
"He seems tamed at least" Yugou slowly pets the mutant dog, getting a lick on her hand as she smiles.
Everyone is slowly warming up to the mutant dog except Kakashi shaking his head.
"The Inuzuka won't like this" Kakashi mutters, seeing everyone now petting the dog as he lies on his back with everyone petting his belly.
Flashback over
So yeah Butch is now a part of Team 13 as the girls and the children of Wave can't get enough of him. Naruto stands on the now complete bridge, as the konoha team gather to leave for the Wave.
As the rest of the Konoha teams made it to the site of the bridge just after sunrise to find a surprise waiting for them. The citizens of Wave had come out to send them off with great cheer and fanfare. Naruto's cheeks gained a pink tinge as he noticed a number of the females wearing different coloured shirts with his face on them. Tazuna and his family stepped away from the cheering crowd and walked up to the ninja that protected them and saved their country.
"We the super citizens of Wave would like to thank all of you super ninja and Konoha for protecting us and helping a down and out village when we could only offer you so little, we would also like to give you this" Tazuna said as he held out a scroll to Yūgao.
Taking the scroll Yūgao took it and examining the contents found enough money to pay each squad for a B ranked mission, which was more than fair seeing as all the Zabuza left after the group chased away a few bandits left. She immediately tried to give it back, but Tazuna refused.
"Keep it, that money comes from what we were able to gather from the accounts Gatō had in Wave Countries bank. I know about our deal but It's the only account left in the bank so he pretty much owned it as well, which is why he felt confident in leaving most of his money there. His notes that you gave us indicated he wanted Wave to be his base in the Elemental Nations and with those notes we've managed to take over his accounts and much of his business" Tazuna says smiling.
The once poor country was now well off, but it would still take some time before they were fully back on their feet.
Meanwhile, as Tazuna and the leaf jōnin conversed Inari and his mother walked up to Naruto.
"Thank you so much Naruto nii-san, for helping my home and giving us Gato" Inari spoke, Naruto grins at him
"It's okay kid. I'm glad you got to take care of your mother, your father would be proud, keep it up" Naruto said with a grin that Inari quickly adopted.
"You bet on Naruto nii-san!" Inari yelled, smiling as he gave Naruto a quick hug and then ran back to where a few kids were calling to him.
"Thank you Naruto, for all you said to Inari. He really took it to heart and has finally become the son I always knew he could be" Tsunami said with a smile.
"Again it's not a big deal. Though I'm glad you are not upset" Naruto says, returning her smile.
"It's okay," Tsunami said, waving off whatever concern he had.
"You're welcome … but I think you should probably go rescue your son from the try hard, emo and his stalker" Naruto says pointing to where Inari was.
Menma and Sasuke were trying to get Inari to see how much cooler he was than the blonde dobe and that they should be praised too, but Inari not doing it despite Sasuke most devoted followers agreeing to shake her fists at the boy when he refused. Tsunami quickly took off to save her little boy from the idiots.
Yūgao, Yukamo, Satsuki, Mito and Kushina look to see Naruto who was comforting a shaken Inari after he got away from the clutches of Menma, Sasuke and Sakura. They saw Inari immediately brighten up and then start talking and playing with Naruto who did all of this with a smile.
For few of them this was eye opening as they had never seen before. Naruto being anything but that of a closed off bastard causes trouble. They heard about how he was helping with the bridge and around Wave, but had put those off as rumors. When a gaggle of orphans came up and surrounded Naruto and Inari and started hugging the blonde saying tearful goodbyes they realised this was the real Naruto.
'Why doesn't he act like this around us or in Konoha?' All the girls asked themselves. A few after asking it immediately got it either having seen part or some of how he was treated or were involved in some of it.
While the others i.e Sasuke and Menma glare at the blonde fool, thinking how he became so popular here and getting the hero worship, Sakura trying to follow alone with Sasuke and glare at Naruto too. How can the dobe be doing better than Sasuke?
However Itachi and Sai both narrow their eyes at Naruto, seeing him stronger then he let on and holding on to powerful secrets, both are going to report about Naruto behaviour.
The villagers of Wave thou cheered even louder for their hero and smiled as the last of the kids walked off after hugging the blonde and Tazuna and Tsunami walked in front of Naruto.
"Well, gaki I guess this is it. Thanks for all of your help with the bridge and everything. Take care of yourself" Tazuna says after shaking Naruto's hand and walking back towards the crowd.
"Come and visit us sometime Naruto-kun. I'm sure Inari and your fan club would love it … not to mention so would I" Tsunami says and then quickly leans up a little to give Naruto a peck on the cheeks. This produced a few catcalls and glares directed at the single mother as she stepped back and stood beside her father blushing.
Naruto after getting over the kiss from the beautiful older woman looked down and found Inari crying clutching onto his pants.
"What's with the tears Inari?" Naruto asked, feeling a little uncomfortable with the situation.
"I-I'm n-not ccrying" Inari says as he turns away and tries to wipe away his tears.
Naruto just walked up behind the boy and placed a hand on his shoulders slowly turning him around.
"It's okay to cry Inari … just remember to make them tears of happiness okay" Naruto says with a smile and gives the boy a thumbs up.
Inari returns the gesture and after another quick hug walks back beside his mom and grandfather. The group takes this time to leave with many thanks from the Wave villagers being called out.
The recovering town and its citizens watched as their liberators walked off into the distance.
"So what are you going to name the bridge?" Tsunami asked her father after the group was nearly out of eye sight.
"How about … Super Tazuna's Super Bridge!" the old man shouted with a huge smile as he made what in his mind was a super pose.
Everyone had the same thought at the same time and voiced it at the same time.
"NO!" came a collective yell that the Konoha teams heard. They turned to see if anything was wrong, but found everyone and thing as they left it a few minutes ago so shrugged and continued on.
Back on the bridge most of the people of Wave had walked away while the rest were still trying to think of a good name. It really wasn't all that long, it's just most didn't care and only wanted to see their hero's off and get back to rebuilding their lives. Of course it was Inari who finally came up with the name and the others quickly agreed, vetoing Tazuna who still wanted to call it 'Tazuna's Super Bridge'.
So it was in that vein the others left, leaving the bridge builder, his daughter, and grandson to stare at their accomplishment.
"The Great Naruto Bridge huh?" Tazuna asked his family. Tsunami and Inari just nodded and smiled thinking of the blonde teen that did so much in such a short amount of time.
"I like it … but I still think it should at least be called 'The Super Naruto Bridge' … yeah that sounds much better" Tazuna says out loud to the annoyance of his daughter and grandson.
"Dad, how many times do I have to tell you how lame you sound when you say that word?" Tsunami says admonishing her dad.
"Yeah sofu" Inari says adding his thoughts, agreeing with his mother
"I don't know kiddo, with all he and his team did and those jutsu thingies they used … I'm not sure that isn't far off from the truth" Tazuna says with a smile.
Both Tsunami and Inari looked at each other, then Tazuna, then off in the distance where they last saw Konoha team.
"Yeah you're probably right, but the name stays the way it is" Tsunami says sternly to her father.
Tazuna just threw his hands up exasperated at everyone downing his super ideas.
"Fine, 'The Great Naruto Bridge' is what it will be called. They'll get to work on the plague and sign soon so it will be official" He says, turning and walking towards their home. Inari and Tsunami quickly flashed a smile of victory before rushing to catch up with the old man.
Tazuna, who noticed they were beside him, decided to finally ask something he'd been dying to ask for the last twenty minutes.
"So Tsunami-chan … exactly what was with that kiss you planted on the gaki before he left?" Tazuna asked. Tsunami of course instantly turned a bright red colour. Instead of answering she started to walk faster, and faster before sprinting away leaving Tazuna and Inari to gape at how fast the motherly woman ran away.
Inari was left gaping at how fast his mother ran away and wondered if he would ever be that fast not noticing the look Tazuna was giving him until it was too late.
"You know Inari … from her reaction I think it's safe to say at some point in the near future you'll have a new daddy and possibly nii-chan or nee-chan soon" Tazuna teases his grandson.
However, if he was expecting Inari to shout in disagreement or be embarrassed or angry he was very disappointed. Instead Inari turned his head to look behind him once more before facing forward, placing his hands behind his head and adopting a big smile.
"I think … that would be super grandpa" Inari says as the duo continue to walk home at a sedate pace, one deciding to encourage his mother to go for it.
Tazuna looked at his grandson and daughter in shock before shaking his head.
"I'm getting too old for this shit" Tazuna said.
LINE
"What was THAT NARUTO!?" Kushina asked her son, seeing an older woman kiss her son's cheeks.
"I don't know what you're talking about" Naruto waves her off, Satsuki glares at him.
"You were hit on by an older woman like that, pervert" Satsuki accused him, Naruto doesn't care.
"Jealousy is not a good look on you" Naruto points out, Satsuki getting mad but Kakashi steps forward.
"Calm down, Naruto is just growing up and noticing women, it's natural" Kakashi stands in front of Naruto, leaning on him.
"You notice the woman now hey, if you ever need any advice I'll be happy to help" Kakashi offers his advice but Naruto notices him holding his Icha Icha book.
"Like I need advice from a porn addict who has never touched a woman before" Naruto snorts at him, Kakashi eyes narrowing at him.
"I'll have you know, I have plenty of women before" Kakashi brags but Naruto walks away.
"If I ever need advice on whores I know where to find you" Naruto spoke off handedly, Kushina turned to Kakashi in rage.
"WHAT!?" Kushina growls, going to tear Kakashi limb from limb for mentioning whores as Kakashi looks terrified at his sensei wife shaking her fist at him.
Menma glares at him, walking towards him.
"How did you beat those bandits!?" Menma asks with anger, as Naruto shrugs.
"You learn a thing or two in prison, never be the prison bitch" Naruto spoke without care, Menma growls at him, but Mito steps forward.
"Enough Menma, you are already on thin ice with everyone after losing control" Mito scowled coldly, Menma turned to her, Kushina and Kakashi had harsh words for him when he woke up.
"And why are you suddenly defending him now? Don't you want to know?" Menma asked his sister, but she only glared at him. Even Naruto looks at her with confusion.
"You think I need to know how he beat a group of weak thugs, anyone here could have beaten them, they're nothing compared to Shinobi" Mito states, Gato's bandits are not chakra users.
Menma growls walking away from them.
"You got issues" Was all Naruto could say, walking away from her despite her looks of longing.
Naruto just walks forward with Butch right next to him, giving him a pact as he thinks about his meeting with Ken Uchiha and Aizen Kurama.
FLASHBACK
Naruto walks across the bridge after helping a few workers, despite Gato men leaving there still did damage to the bridge. Naruto offers his helping hand in the damage he causes.
Until Naruto felt Butch call out to him.
"What is it Butch?" Naruto asked, Butch getting Naruto's attention started to run off while looking back at him. Naruto followed the Mutant dog after getting the message.
Getting across the bridge Naruto walks through the forest, following the sound of Butch barking around the tree line as he looks around.
Then he noticed someone leaning on a tree while another was holding a child sleeping on her shoulder.
"So that's where that kid went" Naruto asked, seeing Ken Uchiha and Aizen Kurama, seeing Aizen holding the child Ranmaru, sleeping on her shoulder.
"Of course, couldn't leave such a lonely child by himself" Aizen spoke sweetly, petting the sleeping child's head, Ken shakes his head.
"That's enough crap, Naruto, why did you leave the base? Why leave Urados-sama" Ken asked him, getting serious with him looking him in the eye but Naruto looked away from him, not seeing a Sharginan.
Okininushi completely paralyses the person staring at the eye, as long as you have eye contact makes the person compete frozen in fear.
"Pops is using us Uncle Ken, treating us like weapons" Naruto tries to explain, Aizen shakes her head.
"Naruto, Urados-sama treats us better than that, of course he has plans for the world" Aizen spoke, already seeing Urados having a bigger plan recruiting them and training powerful nodding in agreement.
"Yeah Naruto, everyone grows beyond what was thought possible, even you kept up with your training" Ken points at him, looking closer at Naruto with his Sharingan, Naruto looks away. Not getting caught looking at his dojutsu.
"And you have more Anti-Bijuu chakra, benefits to being close to you sacrificed siblings" Ken smirks as Naruto frowns, he has been absorbing his siblings Bijuu chakra without them knowing, converting it to his own.
"But do you know why he wants us so strong, no limits or keeping any techniques secret?" Naruto asked, getting looks from the two Akatsuki members.
"Due to the villages restricting training or not sharing their secrets with each other, prevent anyone else from trying to take over by giving them limited training over time while ensuring overall loyalty" Aizen states, most civilian born shinobi never reach a level higher than Chunin, Jonin if they're lucky.
Not lack of trying, but training in shinobi skills is difficult, it takes a lot of time and effort to reach Kage level. While the shinobi that do become Kage level, they keep taking their secrets to the grave.
Even teaching young shinobi is limited, too young to understand more complex jutsu and they struggle to point in the real work. Despite learning young, more shinobi can't get a high level or any truly powerful Jutsu in their arsenal.
That is not counting on clans holding the best jutsu and techniques for themselves.
But Urados don't care about forbidden jutsu and only limit them in case they hurt themselves.
"And why is that, what's his goal? why does he care about us" Naruto asked them, Ken frowned at Naruto.
"If you're trying to say Urados-sama is using us, I'd like to point at that so is your home village and everyone else here, at least Urados-sama isn't holding us back" Ken states, not caring if Urados has some big plan for the world as Naruto sign.
"Those jutsu are forbidden for a reason, after what I saw" Naruto turns to them, getting their attention.
"There's a reason your plan for the leaf didn't work" Naruto tells them, getting the husband and wife to look at each other.
"What do you mean? Shin Nara had a plan to change the village but Minato spoke against it cause Danzo told him Shin wanted to take over the Root, paint him and us by association as the bad guys until we had enough and said fuck it" Ken explains there plan, Shin Nara was Minato's teammate, second student of Jirajia and creator of the shadow secret trade.
Instead of stealing secrets from enemies Shin traded it, either there's or other secrets. While Minato killed over a thousand Iwa nin with his Flying Raijin it was the Shin shadow network that won the war.
Earning the nickname Shadow Broker.
Now Danzo hated anyone selling the Village secrets, despite the gain they got in return and tried to get Shin Nara executed for treason but Shin proved too valuable in both the war effort and village shadow war.
Danzo hated that so he did everyone he could to smear Shin name and anyone close to him, it got so bad Minato had to step away from his teammate and friend.
Abandoning him to the wolves.
So both he and the other decided enough was enough and gave Konoha a bloody nose.
Most of them got killed but few were able to escape like them.
"But Pops didn't help you or send any help" Naruto points out, Aizen shakes her head.
"Naruto-kun, Urado-sama doesn't care of the villages, while he moan our friends lose he didn't felt the village is worth his power, you know Urado-sama can destroy the Element Nations if he wanted too" Aizen states, Urados is powerful and destroying a village would be too easy for him.
Losing a few of his shinobi might set him back; but he has bigger plans than that.
"Even if the Shadow broker lives?" Naruto asked, getting their attention.
"Another one, everyone calls themselves Shadow broker now" Ken said, Shin starting the trading of information created a new market for information's, everyone calling themselves Shadow Broker to hide each other.
Everyone, even the village, pays the Shadow Broker for their secrets.
"No I mean Shin lives, alone with the others, Pops somehow resurrected him" Naruto explains to them.
"How?" Aizen asked, curious about his, Naruto frowns.
"I don't know, I was practising suppressing my chakra when I notice Pops, Akuma-sensei and Esdeath-sensei moving coffins, then Pops stabs a metal rod in them and Shin stand up screaming" Naruto explains what he saw, getting frowns from the two.
"If he can bring us back from the dead?" Aizen asked.
"Why didn't he tell us? much less Shin tell us" Ken states, if Shin was alive then where was he.
"Shin freaked out until Akuma-sensei knocked him out, then Pops stabbed another coffin, resurrecting Koki Yamanaka" Naruto explains, another friend of theirs and lover to Shin.
"Koki-chan, alive too?" Aizen asked but Naruto shook his head.
"When she woke up she freaked out, grabbing Pop's head until he threw her off, near me" Naruto tells them, looking them in the eye.
"Aunty Koki, send the info to me, I saw what Pops really is" Naruto states with fear.
"Really?" Aizen asked.
"Urados isn't human, he is an alien!" Naruto shouted, getting shocked looks from the two Akakashi members.
"An alien?!" Ken spoke out, Aizen gave them a thinking look.
"It…would explain quite a bit…how much he knows…..how different he is ... ..that story of Kaguya and the chakra tree" Aizen slowly realises the lesson Urados.
"Holy shit….a Xeno" Ken states, as they both look at Naruto in shock.
"What did Koki-chan send you?" Aizen asks as Naruto tries to remember.
"I don't know what it was, images of other worlds, giant trees growing as the world kept dying, people, I think there are people with bone parts on their heads eating apples from giant trees. They all have Byakugan and maybe that Dead bone bloodline, they travel the stars" Naruto tries to explain the images he saw from Koki Yamanaka.
"Whatever Pops is, he is not alone and others like him out there" Naruto looks up in the sky, knowing there are more powerful beings like his Urados Otsutsuki out there.
Flashback over
The shock scared them both, knowing what Pops did to their friend and the fact that he was an alien as well, they now started to look deeper into Urados' operations.
They won't tell Naruto and will see about getting more information on the thing.
As these teams make their way back to Konoha.
