Sora had a lot of time to think that was really all he can do at the moment. The keyblade wielder was currently trapped in the final world with no way on how to get home. Sora knew and was warned that using and abusing the power of awakening he would vanish from existence and die for good.
But he didnt care he was willing to do everything to save Kairi, the girl that he loves and if the price was that he dies and she continues to living then that was alright with him.
"Heh knowing everybody I bet they are looking for ways to bring me back" Sora said.
Sora was currently sitting down on the water looking at the infinte blue skies.He was still thinking about his battle with Sora and what Yozora told him he was here to save "Sora".
Could Yozora be talking about him or another person name Sora.
Sora sighed "its one thing after another I defeated Xheanort and it seems like I got to deal with a new problem. Still Yozora even when I was fighting him I could tell he wasnt a bad guy" Sora said.
He then smiled well whatever happens next Sora will be ready for it and not just him but his friends as well.
Sora then sensed something somebody else was here in this world but who could that be who else could have died and not fully passed on.
"Well only one way to find out" Sora said as he got up and ran into the direction towards the person he sent.
Sora kept running for a couple of minutes until he saw the person he was looking for.
"Hello can you hear me" Sora said to the figure.
The figure turned around and it was then Sora had gotten a good look at the figure.
It was a girl, if Sora had to guess she looks to be around his age or maybe a year younger but based on her eyes and demeanor a bit. She seems a lot older then she appears.
She has blonde haired that was tied into a braided bun and her bangs covered to each side of her face.
The girl was wearing a blue and white dress but at the same time she was wearing a blue and silver armor plate and she was wearing armor like gloves.
Despite wearing the armor, even Sora had to admit that the blonde haired girl was pretty beautiful even and thats saying something as he had met a lot of beauitful girls (most of them were princesses) on his journeys in saving the worlds.
"But unlike most of the princesses she looks more like a knight, and I can tell feel that she a fighter and a powerful one at that" Sora thought.
Not to mention her presence to him it feels like he looking at a king similar to king Mickey.
Sora could also see it in the girls eyes that their was a sudden sadness and he wondered what happened to her.
"Uh...hello I didnt expect to meet another person here" Sora said as he rubbed his head and chuckled a bit.
The girl looked at Sora examining him a bit the sadness in her eyes went away for a brief moment as she stood proudly and gave Sora a serious look on her face as if she didnt want him to see her in a vernuable state.
"Who are you and what exactly is this place?" the girl asked.
The way she spoke, the tone it was similar to a commander, a leader, a king. Sora had seen that before with a few of his friends and the people he met like Simba and King Triton.
"Oh me I'm Sora" Sora said as he gave the girl a smile.
"As for this place, this place is called the final world...its a place where a person mind and body are preshied but they haven't fully died yet at least thats what a friend of mine said Im still pretty new to this myself" Sora said as he rubbed his head.
"I see...but I was certain Shirou did kill me and I should be back on Camlann" the girl said to herself.
Does that mean that the world broke their contract or maybe it didn't because that boy..Sora said that she wasnt fully dead yet. She sighed a bit and had a sad look on her face. Not that it matters because she realized that the grail was corrupted. She could only hope that Shirou was able to complete his misson in saving Sakura and destroying the holy grail.
"So are you going to tell me your name?" Sora asked causing the girl to look at him.
"My name?" the girl asked as Sora placed his hands on the back of his head.
"Well yeah I gave you my name its only fair that you tell me yours in return" Sora said as he smiled at the blonde haired girl.
The girl smiled and let out a small chuckle even though she has met the boy. There was something about him that allows herself to let her guard down and relax around him.
"You bring up an excellent point my apologies, my name is Artoria Pendragon, its a pleasure to meet you Sora" the girl now know as Artoria said to Sora.
"Same here Artoria, so do you remember anything on how you ended up here, maybe I can help you" Sora said.
Artoria had a bit of a painful look on her face as she looked down towards the water seeing her own reflection.
"I apperciate the gesture Sora but I don't think you have the power to help me" Artoria said to the keyblade wielder.
"Maybe not but it doesnt hurt to try right whenever somebody needs help its only right to help and save them" Sora said as he walked up to Artoria and sat down next to her.
"Since we got a lot time to kill why don't we exchange stories and learn about each other" Sora said.
Artoria couldn't help but smile she could tell that Sora was a bright, kind and cheerful person. She could tell that his presence can uplift others and even she was effected by her being near him. Sora really reminds her of Gawin and even Shirou for the brief time she knew him.
Artoria then sat next to Sora and she looked at the keyblade wielder.
"I guess I should start at the beginning when I was born and when I begun my training and path towards being the king of Camelot" Artoria said.
Artoria told everything to Sora about her history, her path to becoming king, her rule as king and eventually her downfall and how she made a contract with the world to go into the future and be summoned as a servant in the holy grail war in order to win the grail and fulfill her wish.
"However in the fifth holy grail war I wasnt able to get close to my actual goals. For I wasnt able to be by Shirou my orginal master in the fifth war, I was corrupted by the holy grail which turned out to be Sakura and eventually I became her servants" Artoria said.
She then explained her battles as a corrupted servant and her final battle aganist Shirou and Rider and how the two of them eventually defeated her and Shirou killed her.
"The next thing I knew I ended up here in this endless sea of oceans and sky and that is how I met you Sora" the king of knights said to Sora.
"Wow Artoria that's actually a pretty crazy story I guess we are a lot of like in some ways but man I got to have a world record of being friends with royalty" Sora said as he chuckled a bit.
"Oh do you have friends that are monarchs?" Artoria asked.
"Oh yeah totally I know a lot of princess that I became friends with in the past couple of years, I'm also pretty good friends with King Mickey he also the ruler of his own kingdom as well" Sora said.
"I see...it seems like you have gone through some trails as well Sora, I can tell you are a very powerful warrior" Artoria said.
Sora rubbed his head and smiled "really thanks Artoria that means something coming from a fellow king and hero" Sora said.
Artoria widen her eyes and the she had a sad look on her face and Sora looked and realized what was up.
"Listen Artoria I may not be a king but I dont think your regin wasnt a mistake" Sora said.
"How can you be so certain Sora I told you everything I lead my kingdom to destruction-" Artoria said.
"Which wasnt all your fault if I had to guess it was that no good sister of yours for manipulating everything from behind the scenes honestly she was no better then Xehanort but...unlike him Morgan actions were for pure and selfish reasons if I saw I would have given her a peace of my mind" Sora said.
"But besides that your kingdom loved and adore you, your knights followed you because they believed in you to protect their home, they wouldnt love a lazy king now would they" Sora said.
"No I susppose not" Artoria said as she gave Sora a small smile feeling a little bit better.
"However I do believe that you took the "to become king you must discard your humanity thing too seriously" Sora said.
Artoria blinked "would you care to elaborate" she said to the keyblade wielder.
Sora smiled and then he looked at the sky as he remembered his last battle with Xemnas.
"Our emotions pain, anger, sadness, happiness, love those feelings in our mind and heart it what makes us human. You cant just discard them like that it's part of who we are and it allows us to grow as individuals" Sora said.
Artoria was shocked she never expected Sora to give such a mature response. The king of knights wondered what kind of the battles did the spiky haired had gone through him that allowed him to grow up so quickly like herself.
Sora then turned to look at Artoria "I think if you would have let the other knights see you as just Artoria and not just their serious king then things might have been different maybe Mordred would have not turned aganist you and Camelot wouldnt have failed" Sora said.
"I see, then was Merlins words a mistake?" Artoria asked.
"I guess so, maybe his heart is in the right place but he probably felt discarding your emotions was the only way you can have a perfect rule in a way Merlin sounds just like a nobody" Sora said.
"A nobody?" Artoria tiltled her head to the side in confusion.
"Sorry I was thinking to my self but yeah Artoria nobody is perfect, we all mistakes at the end of the day we just have to move on and learn from them that is what makes us human and honestly Artoria you never threw away your humanity to begin with" Sora said.
"Really even after I pulled Caliburn from the stone" Artoria said as she had a puzzle look on her face.
"You did it to save your people it showed that you were willing to do whatever it takes to save your kingdom, it shows that you did love and care about them" Sora said.
"Which is why I believe you being king wasn't a mistake, your heroic deeds probably inspired so many people that they look up to you kind of like my friend Hercules" Sora said.
Artoria widen her eyes Sora knew Hercules but how.
Artoria shook her head and she smiled "Sora thank your words has put my mind at ease and you showed me that I shouldnt ignore the things I did as a hero and what I accomplished...I dont know what else I could to repay you" Artoria said.
"You dont have to repay me for anything Artoria we're friends and friends are susppose to help each other out" Sora said.
"Friends" Artoria said she then smiled and reached out her hand towards the keyblade welder.
"Yes your right, and Im glad that I was able to make such an amazing friend such as you Sora" Artoria said.
"Same here Artoria" Sora said as he grabbed her hand and shook it.
"Now then I believe its time to tell me your story Sora" Artoria said.
"Sure its only right after all" Sora said he then held up his hand and he went ahead and summoned the keyblade shocking Artoria.
"Thats a keyblade!" Artoria said.
"Yeah...wait Artoria you know about the keyblade" Sora asked.
"I do long ago a keyblade wielder came to Camelot and together he and I once again defeated Vortigern my uncle and protected Camelot and kept him from ruling it once again" Artoria said.
"I had no idea you were a keyblade wielder Sora" Artoria said.
"Yeah its a long story but I guess since you know about the keyblade it saves me some trouble on explaining some things" Sora chuckled.
Sora then told everything about how he wanted to see other words, how his island was destroyed and how he started in his journey with Donald and Goofy in order to find his friends and saving the worlds. He told her about Ansem and about his second journey dealing with Xemnas and the nobodies.
He also told her about the mark of mastery exams and his recent journey in defeating Xehanort and how he sacrificed himself to save Kairi and his battle with Yozora.
"I see so there are other versions of Merlin and Hercules out in the worlds thats interesting" Artoria said she then gave Sora a sympathetic look on her face.
"Sora I'm so sorry for you to go through so much pain for someone as so young in such a sort amount of time...all because of one man twisted ambition...it's unfortunate that your here" Artoria said.
"Yeah...but dont worry Artoria I dont regret my actions and choices one bit I would rather it be me then Kairi" Sora said.
Artoria nodded "I understand Sora I have no right to judge your choices I would have done the same thing expect you actually changed fate itself you really are special and are worthy to wield that key" Artoria replied.
"Just remember to take your own advice your burdens are not just yours alone" Artoria said.
Sora smiled "I know my friends including you Artoria you guys are my power and Im happy that I was able to make another connection" Sora said.
Artoria smiled but before she could say anything Artoria glowed.
"W-whats going on" Artoria said as she and Sora stood up.
Sora looked and saw that his keyblade was was glowing as well. He then step back swirl his keyblade and pointed it at Artoria and the keyblade released a laser beam of light and it hit Artoria and soon light engulfed the area.
As soon as the light disappeared Sora and Artoria looked as they saw a door of light and from what Sora could see inside the door was a endless grassy field and some clear blue skies.
"This place" Artoria said.
"It looks like this is goodbye Artoria" Sora said he was sad a bit he was enjoying Artoria company now he back to being by himself.
"Sora.." Artoria clinched her fist its not fair Sora shouldnt have to be here in this endless world by himself.
"Its ok Artoria Ill be fine my friends are going to find me eventually so go on, your finally free of your regrets and your no longer ashamed of the path your chosen" Sora.
"Sora..." Artoria smiled as a light glowed around her and her armor and dressed was replaced with a blue nightgown dress and her hair was down.
"I will never forget everything you did for me and I know this wont be the last time we see each other" Artoria said.
"Of course if I am in trouble I know your going to be there to help you out. Plus maybe I can see you again in the afterlife hopefully without me dying again" Sora said with a grin causing Artoria to chuckle.
"Yes and I am looking forward to that day please Sora take care of yourself and keep that light of yours alive" Artoria said.
"I will...see you later Artoria" Sora said as he bowed towards the king of knights.
"Until next time Sora" Artoria said as she turned around and went straight towards the door of light towards Avalon with no regrets and at peace with the decesions she made with her life and that was because of Sora the boy who power comes from the conbections of the friends he made and today he made another connection towards the girl who became king to save her people.
A/N: Hey how everybody doing I hope you guys like this one shot. I have been watching a lot of Fate with a friend of mine and I thought I would write a crossover between Fate/Stay Night and Kingdom Hearts.
Artoria and Sora are similar that they faced a lot of hardships and saved many lives. I felt that Sora and Artoria can relate to each other regardling their personal struggles. I also believe that because of that Sora would be able to save Artoria from her regrets and that she shouldnt be ashamed of her reign and that she should held her head high, learn from it and move on. That what it means to be human.
Sora shared that philosophy with Xemnas and he sharing it with Artoria.
In case everyone didn't know this is Artoria from the Heaven Feel route/timeline.
