The Winchesters should have known by now that nothing in their lives happens without reason. It all started with a disappearance, ginger hair, and a supposed curse, and ended with them rescuing a young woman who half of Hell wanted dead. The deeper they dug to uncover why Crowley wanted her dead, the less they understood. And when the truth finally comes to light, Heaven and Hell will have to decide whether to join forces to eliminate the threat that endangers both realms. Once again, the Winchesters find themselves witnessing as the world teeters on the edge of annihilation. Everything will come down to a single woman, tired of being a pawn in the world's relentless game. And trust me, a furious woman can stir up more trouble than anyone could ever expect.
Notes:
If you're looking for romance—wrong door, knock next one. If you're after a minimalist, platonic love for Destiel—maybe. The story's action is based on Season 8 of Supernatural, specifically after Episode 13. Obviously, not everything will be presented exactly as it is in the show, depending on where my imagination takes me. However, if you want to see a different version of Season 8—you're welcome to join! I am not gonna break Destiel so my female character will stay far away from Dean. But if you'd like to see a bit of romance with any character - let me know!

Willowbrook Local News

Every new job started the same way—by digging up information about strange deaths or disappearances that defied logical explanation. Sam had stumbled upon one of those cases while browsing a news site.
He was having a late breakfast, appreciating once again how lucky they were to have found the Men of Letters bunker. No more being stuck in dingy roadside diners with greasy food. For the first time in weeks, they didn't have much on their plate, which felt like a rare stroke of luck. They were still recovering from the battle with Dick Roman, and between the tablets of God, Crowley, and the Gates of Hell, peaceful nights had become a distant memory. This brief respite from chaos was something they gladly welcomed.
Sam was lost in an article when Dean finally poked his head out of his room.
"Tough night?" Sam asked with a smirk, knowing full well Dean had been out late at the local bar the night before.
Dean rolled his eyes and poured the last of the cold coffee from the pot. He took a large gulp, only to grimace in disgust.
"Ugh. Tastes like mud," he grumbled, wiping his eyes as he squinted at the laptop. "Can't sleep?"
"It's 11 a.m., Dean."
"Oh." Dean yawned loudly and sank into the chair.
Sam continued reading for a moment before turning the laptop toward his brother. "Looks like I've found us a case."
Dean lazily glanced at the screen. His expression shifted as he skimmed the article.
"Three murders in a month. All the victims died from... their eyes burned out and organs liquefied?" Dean shuddered. "Damn. That's disgusting."
He leaned back, still not fully awake. "Why do you think this is our kind of thing?"
Sam rotated the laptop back. "The pattern. You don't come across this kind of thing too often. Plus, the locals are talking about a town curse. Apparently, there hasn't been a major crime in decades."
Dean raised an eyebrow, skeptical.
"A town with no crime? What kind of saintly place is this?"
"Willowbrook," Sam said, scanning the article again. "Eastern Missouri, not far from Lincoln Springs."
"Never heard of it."
"Not surprising. The population's barely a thousand."
Dean scoffed. "That's definitely out in the sticks. Anything else on this so-called curse?"
Sam shrugged. "Not much, just some rumors."
Dean grimaced at the thought. "Driving across a few states for some rural legends? Not my idea of fun."
Sam raised an eyebrow, knowing exactly how to bait him. "Would you rather wait around for Garth to find us a job?"
Dean shot up from the chair, his hesitation gone in an instant. "Nope. Let's hit the road."
