The Harrington Household smelled like heaven.

Eddie let himself in with the key Steve had given him a few months ago, spirits lifting at the smell of baked goods and cooking meat. Steve had been busy.

"Hey, Stevie, where are you?"

"Kitchen!"

Of course, he was. Eddie walked down the hallway to join him, leaning against the doorframe to watch Steve putter about. The table had already been laid, glasses set close together, and dishes sparkling under the bright lights. He was wearing tight-fitting jeans and a polo that made Eddie want to grab him around the waist and never let go.

Suffice it to say, he was a little in love with Steve Harrington. Lucky for him, Steve loved him back.

"Hey, pretty boy, had a busy day?" Steve glanced up and smiled, beckoning Eddie over. Once he was close enough, Steve straightened up to greet him properly with a kiss. Getting his arms around that tempting waist, Eddie squeezed, grinning when Steve swatted at him. "Hi."

"Insatiable."

"Shouldn't dress like a five-course meal then."

"Five?" Steve raised an eyebrow. "Feeling adventurous tonight?"

"Later," Eddie promised, stealing another kiss before letting Steve go. Skirting around him to help set the table, he glanced at the food, and instantly, his mouth was watering. "You are an amazing cook."

"Lucky for you."

"Mhmm, lucky me." He could resist slapping Steve's ass when he passed.

"Sit," Steve ordered, pointing at a chair so Eddie sat. Within minutes, Steve set a plate laden with food before him and sat down. "You can pour the drinks."

Grabbing the wine, Eddie poured it carefully, not wanting to stain Steve's tablecloth or ruin their food. "This looks fancy."

"Thank my dad."

"Thank you, Mr Harrington, for creating such a perfect son."

Steve rolled his eyes, but he couldn't hide his pleased smile. "Try it."

It was amazing. Eddie didn't need to try it to know that, but he did as Steve asked, tasting the sauce. The flavor instantly burst across his tongue, too complex to even guess at, but he nodded his approval, shoving another forkful into his mouth. The food didn't last long, and Eddie was groaning by the time he finished, his stomach full to bursting. It was worth every mouthful, and he sat holding Steve's hand, fighting off sleep.

"That was fucking amazing. You are amazing, Steve. I love you."

Steve laughed, lifting Eddie's hand to kiss it. "Love you too, baby. So you don't want dessert?"

"I can find the space."
