Uzume never thought that she would meet anyone that wasn't a doggo or a baby bug with the only exception being Umio, who is a floating fish with a human face
So her surprise is understandable when she met Nepsy and Gearsy
Both of them are human, not only that but they claim to be CPUs like her
And the only reason that they can't transform into their CPU forms is because they are in a different dimension… whatever that means…
Sure she could understand that there was more to the multiverse than the ruins of Zero Dimension where she lives in with her friends but hopping between them seems a bit far fetched to her
Ultimately the only thing that really mattered to Uzume is that they're not hostile towards her or the others for that matter
The more time that Uzume spends with Nepsy and Gearsy the more Uzume feels like that there's something weird about the pair of sisters
For starters, Nepsy is the older one and Gearsy is the younger one despite physically looking the exact opposite
Of course, the legitimacy of the pair's status as older and younger sister is brought into question when Nepsy clings to Gearsy every chance she gets, as though Gearsy would disappear the moment Nepsy lets go
Then there's these moments where Gearsy has this detached vibe to her, where she's aware of what's going on around her but her mind is somewhere completely different
Jingu Sakura Park is really pretty
From the trees to the grass to the river that's running through it
It is truly a sight to behold, especially since the rest of the world is a desolate wasteland
According to Umio this is because of the share crystals that they are here for
And Uzume agrees with Nepsy that they shouldn't take all the crystals, if nothing else than to keep this place from becoming like the rest of the world
It's a shame that Nepsy and Gearsy can't transform
If they could it'll be really cool
Purple Heart was so majestic and Purple Sister was so cool
Uzume didn't know that Gearsy could use a gun especially since the younger lilac-ette didn't use one in her human form
Although, something that concerned Uzume was that Nepsy didn't know about Gearsy's CPU form
Apparently, according to Gearsy, Gearsy's CPU form got an upgrade recently
But that still doesn't explain why Nepsy doesn't know about Gearsy's upgraded CPU form
They're sisters, something like this isn't something that you keep a secret from your sister
Again, that detachedness between the sisters is there, and again, it's mostly from Gearsy
Uzume was pissed
Gearsy just gave up her chance to go back home for the sake of saving her
On one hand, she's very touched that the lilac haired girl cares about her enough to abandon her chance to go back home to save her
On the other hand, Gearsy just gave up her chance to go back home because Gearsy chose to save Uzume
So unsurprisingly, once they were safe, Uzume started to give the younger girl the tongue lashing of the century
That should've been the end of it, Uzume gives Gearsy a tongue lashing and then they go forward and try to figure out what to do from there
Except that wasn't how it went, because Gearsy cut her off by slapping her in the face, hard
Uzume is pretty sure that there will be a nice clean bruise in the shape of Gearsy's hand on her face later
"I don't know what type of person that you think that i am but i'm not the type to leave behind a friend to fend off hoards of monsters by themselves" Gearsy said heatedly, "there will always be another way to get back home but there won't be a way to bring you back to life if you die because i left you to fend for yourself!"
And Uzume, she couldn't refute that, because she would have done the same for Gearsy in a heartbeat had their roles been reversed (she would have done the same for Nepsy as well but this moment was about her and Gearsy)
Ultimately, what's done is done and they cant change that so they had to make their way to Uzume's hideout
The actual one, not the makeshift one that she had in the city area
Stupid Arbore
She ambushed them as they were making their way to her real hideout
And she's really strong when she's transformed too
She and Gearsy was getting pushed back and it really wasn't looking good
Gearsy looked like she was about to do something to bring things back into their favor
Only for whatever it was to be put on hold when Nepsy(?) falls out of the sky
From what Uzume can see Gearsy clearly has something against her sister
Because right now Big Nepsy and Gearsy are going over all the bugs that Big Nepsy has caught so far
If her expressions were anything to go by then Gearsy clearly didn't like bugs but went along with it anyways
Again, what could Tiny Nepsy have done to Gearsy, for Gearsy to be like this
Gearsy, when tiny Nepsy was around would smile but her eyes would be closed, and the one time that they weren't, Uzume saw that Gearsy's smile didn't reach her eyes
And the times that she laughed sounded really forced
For contrast, right now, when tiny Nepsy wasn't here Gearsy's smile reaches her eyes and her laughs are more real
Even then there's this lingering darkness in Gearsy's heart that has Uzume worried
Arbore got out of big Nepsy's Nepnote because Uzume fed her the Shiitake mushrooms and big Nepsy fed her the eggplants and Umio fed her the fish
Now, Uzume and big Nepsy are seated in seiza position while Umio is floating next to Uzume with a similar look on his face to both big Nepsy and Uzume
With Gearsy pacing back and forth in front of them with a look on her face that big Nepsy has dubbed the "mom look"
Gearsy stopped in front of them looks towards them, then sighs and says "i'm not mad, i'm just disappointed"
Critical hit, big Nepsy is down
"Umio, I wasn't going to force you to eat fish so why did you do this and stop the rest of us from eating it?" Gearsy says while looking at Umio
"Oooooh" Umio basically flattened, another critical hit
"G-Gearsy, I…" Uzume tried to give her excuse but that was stopped by Gearsy saying "just because you don't want to eat something doesn't mean that you should stop the rest of us from enjoying them, Uzume"
Critical hit number 3, Uzume is downed
Clean sweep
Party has been wiped out
Mission failed, we'll get 'em next time
Uzume was… satisfied
The dark CPUs are defeated
She was beaten, bruised and most definitely exhausted
But she was satisfied
Big Nepsy has run off after Croire
Gearsy has gone home with Nepsy who showed up for the final battle
Right now, it's just her and Umio
Uzume will rest right where is right now
Before she gets started on rebuilding this dimension of hers
But for now,
For now, everything was just fine
