Arriving at the pack, Vlad and Dracula saw several werewolves of all sizes and ages. Dracula thought it was amazing to see so many werewolves, but he had already made it clear that he wanted a strong, adult werewolf.

– They're all my children. - Wolfram told them.

– I want that one! Or that one! Can I have both of them!? - Dracula said excitedly to the older ones.

Vlad and Wolfram laughed a little at the little vampire, who didn't understand why they were laughing.

– That's not how it works, son. ‐ Vlad told him.

– What do you mean? - Dracula turned his head to the side, not understanding.

– Choosing a werewolf is like choosing a horse. - Wolfram began. – It's not you who chooses. It chooses you.

– So… is the werewolf going to choose me? - Dracula looked at the werewolves confused.

–Exactly.

– And what do I do? – Dracula asked.

– It will take a while, but all you have to do is try to have a connection with a werewolf. At the right time, one of them will choose you. – Wolfram said to the little vampire.

– Now go there. – Vlad slowly pushed Dracula.

Dracula began to walk towards the werewolves, observing them all and choosing which one was the strongest.

– The way it's going to be, it'll take a while. - Wolfram said, until he looked at Vlad. – Do you want to eat something? I was going hunting.

– Yes. - Vlad said to the werewolf, until he spoke to Dracula. – Drac! I'm going out!

– Okay! - Dracula said to his father.

The elders left, leaving the little vampire alone with thousands of other werewolves. Dracula approached a tall werewolf who was eating a deer.

– Hello. - Dracula said friendly.

The werewolf growled at him, and Dracula moved away in fear. Then he went to a strong werewolf, who was sharpening his nails.

– They seem to be very sharp. - Dracula said, approaching him.

The werewolf showed his claws in a threatening way, and the vampire left there, afraid of being scratched. Dracula talked to all the werewolves, but they all seemed angry or disgusted with him.

After a while, the vampire gave up and went under a tree, where he bent his knees, bringing his legs to his chest, and crossed his arms, hiding his face. He was already expecting that he would not have a strong werewolf.

Suddenly, a little red ball rolled until it reached the vampire's feet. Dracula looked at the ball, where he held it, wanting to understand how it ended up there.

"Hi."

Dracula looked at the owner of the voice, and saw a werewolf cub, with brown fur, wearing a ripped blue shirt and ripped pants. This little wolf was wagging its tail, sitting like a wolf and looking at the little vampire.

– Is that your ball? - Dracula asked him.

– Yes! - The cub said excitedly.

Dracula threw the ball, and the little wolf started chasing the ball. When he finally caught it, he approached Dracula with the ball in his mouth, and gave it back to Dracula, while smiling, wagging his tail, and breathing with his tongue out, wanting to play.

– I don't want to play. - Dracula hid his face again.

The little werewolf turned his head to the side, wanting to understand why he was sad. The little wolf approached, smelling his hand, and suddenly, rubbing his head, wanting Dracula to pet him.

Dracula raised his head, looking at him in surprise. The werewolf looked at him with a smile and wagging his tail. Dracula was surprised, until he started to pet the werewolf's head. The cub laid his head on his legs and closed his eyes, making Dracula look surprised.

– You... have soft fur. - Dracula began to pet him, while a smile formed on his face. – My name is Dracula.

– Hi Dracula. - The little werewolf opened his eyes, looking at him. – My name is Wayne.

Dracula smiled, looking at him, while he continued to pet him, and Wayne turned over on his belly so Dracula would pet him there.

Vlad and Wolfram finally came back to find out how the vampire's search was going.

– Did it work? - Wolfram asked.

– Let's find out. - Vlad told him.

The two older ones showed up and were surprised by what they saw. Dracula had thrown the ball very happily, and Wayne ran to get it, and when he caught it, he gave it back to the vampire. Dracula bent down to pick up the ball, and Wayne took the opportunity to lick him, which made Dracula laugh at that. Vlad and Wolfram looked at each other, then smiled and looked at the little ones. Dracula saw that his father had arrived, and carried Wayne in his arms, approaching them.

– Dad. Mister Wolfram. I chose this one. – Dracula said happily, showing Wayne in his arms.

– This is my youngest son. So you chose him, Wayne? ‐ Wolfram asked the cub.

Wayne nodded excitedly, and Wolfram smiled at the little one.

– Can I keep him? - Dracula asked them.

– Of course you can. Don't forget to visit us like your other brothers, Wayne. - Wolfram said to his son.

– Okay, daddy. - Wayne said, wagging his tail.

– Thanks, Wolfram. - Vlad smiled at the werewolf. – Let's go, Dracula. Don't forget your cub.

Vlad turned around and walked away, and Dracula followed him, still with Wayne in his arms.

– He's not my cub. He's my friend.

Dracula started hugging Wayne, who licked his face and then rubbed his head against the vampire's head.
