The Colors of Love, From A Different Perspective

Quinston wants adventure in his life. When his brother makes a time machine, Quinston's sure that this will bring adventure. But everything comes at a cost. Quinston finds himself lost in a strange world, until he meets someone special that just might be the person to help him put together the pieces and find the true colors of love. (Inkling boy x Human girl) T for safety.

3. 2: When We Met

Rebecca's POV

I walk to the park's entrance, where I see a trail of purple...pen ink?

This guy is stranger than I thought. I follow the trail until...finally! I carefully approach the boy as he turns around and...Auggh!

Quinston's POV

I see the mammalian behind me, and I fire at them with my Hydra. But they keep dodging my shots. They finally hold their hands up, signaling for me to stop. I pause my shooting, but keep my finger on the trigger. I don't know what they'll try.

"If you understand me, I come in peace," says the mammalian, wiping ink off their face.

"Well, why are you following me?" I ask, staring the creature up and down.

"Because you look lost", the creature responds.

"O-ok...thing?" I say confused on what to call this...thing.

"Maybe I should introduce myself, my name's Rebecca, but call me Becky like everyone else does." Says Becky, sticking out her hand for me to shake. "What's your name?"

"Quinston", I say, shaking as I take her hand. "My name is Quinston."

Rebecca's POV

"Well, nice to meet ya, Quinston." I say, smiling gently so he doesn't cover me with more ink. When I get home and my mom sees my clothes (depending on if she's home), she's going to give me hell.

"I-I, uhh...got a question", Quinston says shakily as he scratches the back of his head. "What are you?"

OK, I gotta be cautious around this guy, he might be on drugs. My mom would give me hell for that, too. "And what's that?" He asks, pointing to a jogger walking their dog. "And that?" Quinston asks, pointing at my hair.

"I'm pretty sure you have questions, and I have questions of my own, so why don't we go somewhere private?" I suggest. I'm going to have to borrow one of my little brother's paintball guns. Because if I end up fighting with this guy, I need something to match that tank-like thing.

"Ok." Quinston walks beside me, and I realize that his hair is...Tentacles.

This guy is giving me the heepie-jeepies.
