The candlelight flickered softly around the room as Team RWBY, Jaune, and Sun settled in for another thrilling adventure. Ruby adjusted her Dungeon Master screen, clearing her throat dramatically to set the scene.

"Our heroes, brave and daring, enter the massive gates of Wondertown Mall, a sprawling marketplace of wonders and oddities. The air is filled with the smell of popcorn and sizzling hot dogs, and neon lights illuminate towering shelves of weapons, armor, and rare potions. Arcade machines beep and whirr in the distance. You've never seen a place so chaotic, yet so full of possibility."

The group glanced around at each other, their eyes lighting up with anticipation.

"Welcome to Wondertown Mall," Ruby continued. "With the fate of the city hanging in the balance, you know this is your chance to prepare. Time is of the essence, and each of you knows you must be well-equipped to face the trials ahead. So, brave heroes...what do you do?"

Yang (as Earthbreaker)
"Well, I think it's pretty obvious what Earthbreaker would do," Yang announced, deepening her voice and making it rougher to fit her fierce, half-orc warrior character. "I'm headed straight for the weapons aisle. I need the biggest, baddest hammer money can buy!"

Ruby chuckled and continued. "As you stride confidently toward the weapons aisle, you notice a group of young men staring at you with wide eyes, awe-struck by your half-orc strength… and charisma."

Yang raised an eyebrow, leaning into the moment. "Ahh, Earthbreaker does not appreciate such gawking. Perhaps a little reminder of my strength will send them on their way!"

Yang rolled her d20 for a strength check, watching it bounce across the table until it landed on a high number. "Success!"

Ruby grinned, narrating with flair. "With a single grunt, Earthbreaker reaches over, grabs one of the gawkers by the collar, and lifts him off the ground as easily as if he were a sack of potatoes. With a flick of your wrist, you toss him down the aisle like a beanbag, sending him skidding across the floor and into a display of steel helmets. The other gawkers scream and scramble for the exits!"

Blake, who was playing as Shadow Cat, a ninja-inspired feline hybrid, couldn't suppress a laugh. "Nice throw, Earthbreaker. You might've scared off your fan club, but at least they got a show!"

Yang flexed in real life, striking a victorious pose. "What can I say? Earthbreaker takes no prisoners."

Blake (as Shadow Cat)
Blake looked thoughtful as she considered her next move. "Alright, Shadow Cat slips through the shadows toward the weapons section as well," she said smoothly, embodying her stealthy ninja cat character. "But not before making a quick stop to pick up a few smoke bombs. Can't go wrong with those."

Ruby nodded, shifting to her narrator voice. "You find yourself in the equipment aisle, where they have everything from grappling hooks to stealth potions to... smoke bombs. The store clerk raises an eyebrow as you pile up a dozen smoke bombs on the counter."

With a smirk, Blake said, "Perfect. Now, Shadow Cat is ready to vanish at a moment's notice."

Ruby rolled her eyes playfully. "After paying for your haul, you feel a light tug at your belt pouch. A sneaky raccoon thief has grabbed one of your smoke bombs and taken off down the aisle!"

Blake gasped, and everyone burst out laughing as she quickly rolled a dexterity check, her dice tumbling to land on a low number.

Ruby stifled a chuckle. "You dart after the raccoon, but it vanishes into the crowd, cackling. You're down one smoke bomb… looks like Shadow Cat got a taste of her own medicine!"

Blake groaned. "Great. Even ninja cats can't avoid the occasional pickpocket."

Jaune (as Sir Arthur Remington)
Meanwhile, Jaune's character, Sir Arthur Remington, was eyeing the potions aisle, rubbing his hands together with eager anticipation.

"Sir Arthur approaches a shelf full of mysterious potions," Ruby narrated, shifting her voice into a more mystical tone. "Each bottle is labeled with bizarre names like 'Potion of Maybe Invisibility' and 'Elixir of Possible Strength Increase.' The labels are faded and a little dusty. You're pretty sure none of these are tested, but they're cheap!"

Jaune couldn't resist. "Alright, Sir Arthur will buy three of the mystery potions. You never know when a random potion will come in handy!"

Ruby laughed. "The shopkeeper, an old woman with a crooked smile, hands over three potions. 'Good luck with these, sonny,' she cackles. 'Only one in five works as advertised!' You now have three unknown potions in your inventory."

Jaune shrugged, grinning. "What's the worst that could happen?"

Sun (as Zenstrike)
Sun, playing his mystical monk character Zenstrike, was trying to keep his cool, eyes closed in meditative focus.

"I'll meditate for inner strength and clarity, so I don't waste my gold on anything foolish," he announced, confident in his character's ability to achieve balance.

He rolled a d20 and watched as it spun across the table, landing on a natural 1.

Ruby burst out laughing, unable to resist. "You attempt to find a calm center within yourself… but a pigeon perched above you on a decorative statue decides to drop a very unceremonious surprise right onto your head. Your meditation is… disturbed."

Everyone broke into laughter as Sun buried his face in his hands. "Zenstrike was not prepared for this test of patience."

Weiss (as Stormlight) and Ruby (as Emberflare)
The two friends, playing as Stormlight and Emberflare, were scouring the aisles together, looking for magical artifacts and potions.

"Stormlight," Weiss began, her voice prim and dignified, "requires an upgrade to her staff. Something that can handle both my healing powers and my lightning abilities."

Ruby narrated the scene. "As you inspect various staffs, a shady-looking magician in a dark cloak sidles up to you. 'Ah, milady,' he purrs. 'That staff there, quite the choice for a sorceress of your stature.'"

Weiss's eyes narrowed. "This guy sounds like trouble."

Ruby grinned mischievously, slipping into the voice of the shifty magician. "Before you can react, he flashes you a charming smile and, in a blink of an eye, pockets half your gold coins!"

Weiss let out a gasp as the others laughed at her misfortune. Ruby, switching back to her character voice as Emberflare, reached over to comfort her. "Don't worry, Stormlight. I'll lend you half of my gold. After all, we've been best friends since we were toddlers. I couldn't let you go broke!"

Weiss smiled. "You're too kind, Emberflare. Next time, that rogue won't be so lucky!"

After Two Hours of Shopping…
With their supplies gathered (or partially lost to unfortunate encounters), the group finally reconvened at the exit, their bags full of potions, armor, and random knick-knacks from the stores.

Ruby leaned forward, grinning at her friends. "Alright, heroes. You're all loaded up and ready for your journey. And now, you return to the most iconic landmark in all of Wondertown… the bus stop."

Yang laughed, still in her Earthbreaker voice. "Earthbreaker does not ride buses! This is no way to treat a warrior of my caliber!"

Ruby held up her hands. "Ah, but it's the only way to the city gates. Welcome to the modern age, heroes!"

They all piled onto the imaginary bus, jostling and elbowing each other as they pretended to cram into the crowded seats.

Ruby continued. "As the bus jerks forward, you find yourselves pressed against each other, your new weapons and potions clinking together. It's hot, it's cramped, but the bus rattles along, taking you toward the gates of Wondertown and the start of your real adventure."

As the group laughed, imagining their heroic characters squashed together on a bus, Ruby couldn't help but add, "And somewhere in the crowd, the faint smell of… something mysterious wafts through the air. Hopefully, it's not the start of another misadventure."
