A/N: Here is the new update! This chapter is long but has lots of action and interesting plot points. I've been taken inspiration from listing the OST of Ace Combat 2 and looking up Lelouch x Euphemia fan art. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
Nestled on the northern shore of Kyushu Island in Japan, the city of Fukuoka boasts a rich history and a vibrant nightlife that attracts people of all walks of life. The city comes alive at night with its bustling streets, neon lights, and plethora of entertainment options that cater to a diverse range of tastes. From traditional Izakaya pups to modern clubs and karaoke bars, Fukuoka offers an array of nightlife experiences that cater to everyone. The restrictions that Britannia has left have since been removed or torn down by the authorities under the stewardship of Crown Princess Kaguya.
Meanwhile, in the west of Fukuoka, departing from Iki Island, a squadron of four Chinese-made H-6K bombers is flying on a routine flight. The JLF crew members of the squadron communicated with the air traffic control in Kyushu. Communication with air traffic control is crucial, as it provides updated information on weather conditions, other aircraft, and changes to the flight path. The captain and first officer in the cockpit are responsible for following air traffic control instructions, such as adjusting course to avoid turbulence, or enemy encounters, during the flight routine.
Thankfully, the night sky is clear for them to RTB. Subsequently, the IFF detected numerous bogeys emanating from Imperial forces operating in the occupied territories.
"Sir, we got some Imperial bogey coming our way."
"Perfect target practice for our experimental laser. Engage the bogeys!"
"Yes, sir!"
The H-6K bomber's hatch open to reveal their laser cannons while they remain in formation. They have targeted the F-14 aircraft of the enemy.
"Target lock… three… two… one. Fire!"
The Bombers fired their laser cannons. Seven of the enemy F-14 have all been shot down in a fireball of smoke.
"All seven targets have been neutralized."
"Good, now we—"
"Wait! There are more enemy targets!"
Out of the smoke, there were several more imperial YF-23 Black Widow jet fighters flew at top speed.
"The heck those are-"
"Forget it! Target those planes now! What?!"
Seven of the YF-23 Black Widows have vanished without a trance.
"I can't see visual!"
"How the heck— Fighters, engage the enemy!"
"Sir!" An escort squad of F-15s begins to hunt down the ghost fighters. The Imperial fighters then emerge from behind the JLF fighters. The JLF fighters tried to evade the enemy but couldn't shake them.
"Sir, we have another enemy approaching. It's an enemy aerial KMF, it must be the Lancelot!"
Orpheus Zevon engaged the bombers on his screen. It told him that they were four Chinese Federation-built H-6Ks. He felt satisfied with the information he received from his princess.
"Your Highness, I got a visual of the JLF bombers. The Wizard Team is engaging with the escort fighters."
"Good. With those dummy F-14s as bait, they have been caught with their pants down. Take out the bombers; for their sins, they are not allowed to see the light of day," Marrybell said through the other line.
"Yes, your Highness." He went full-trot on the controls as his aerial KMF was at full speed, engaging the H-6k.
The traffic control crew felt flabbergasted as they exgance glances. The captain noticed what they were seeing on the radio screen and assumed— Wait.
"What? That's not the Lancelot! Destroy it before it comes near you!"
The Bombers fired their laser beams at Orpheus's KMF, but he had evaded the attack without effort. The KMF pilot skillfully navigated through the cylinders of lights until he found an opening and acted on it. The first H-6k was slashed to pieces as he was at a meaningful distance. He then fired his laser projectile cannon at the remaining H-6Ks, cascading a chain reaction once it hit one of them, causing a chain of explosions.
Meanwhile, the Wizard Team has been picking apart the remaining JLF jets one by one.
"Mayday, I got one on my tail!" said a JLF pilot. The YF-23 was closing in on his target.
"Hang on, I'm coming!" said the other JLF pilot. But it was too late. A member of the Wizard Team fired his bullets at the rebel fighter, destroying it in a ball of fire and smoke.
"Darn it!" the pilot shouted and tried to pursue the fighter who destroyed his comrade. He tried firing the elite imperial fighter, but the said imperial fighter evaded it without much effort. The JLF pilot then fired his missile as soon as he was locked, but the missile missed.
The YF-23 vanished, disappearing from the pursuer's sight. The JLF pilot looked over his radar; it had moved away from his firing range. It wasn't long before the JLF pilot could react to what was coming as the imperial fighter locked on and fired its missile with more accuracy.
The last JLF plane was destroyed.
"Humph! Give me a real challenge," Said the member of the Wizard Squadron.
…
A two Britannian C-17 Cloud-Chariots are currently airborne above fifty miles west of Hiroshima.
"This is the REVOLVER unit; the target is in range. Awaiting orders."
"This is the command and control of the government bureau of Area 11. Orders have been transmitted from her Royal Highness Princess Marrybell, you are clear to eliminate the ground targets from Iki Island."
"Copy that."
Two of the military cargo plans are equipped with two sequentially installed drums and an electromagnetic catapult for launching 12 Hypersonic cruise missiles in the cargo.
The operator gave approval to open the cargo plane's hatch. He stood out of the way as the forces of gravity and air did their work. The projectile was moved to the second row and then catapulted out of the plane, and in midair, the rocket ignited and flew to a higher altitude. Like its name suggests, the electromagnetic catapult rotated like the revolver of a gun until the cargo was empty of rockets.
Viceroy's Palace, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11(Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 08:15 AM
It has been reported by the Imperial media that Marrybell mei Britannia had personally authorized the counterstrikes on one of the JLF strongholds on Iki Island, based on a credible report that the Chinese-backed rebels have attained laser technology. Furthermore, Marrybell has also approve of a strike on a target in Italy, the building that house ammo and an Italian Military Center in retaliation for the Hospital bomb attack that killed innocent people perpetrated by the terrorists and their backers in Madrid.
In the hall, snapshots can be heard from the press and members of the nobility as Marrybell delivers her statement on the podium, with her elder half-sister Cornelia and others beside her. The Hero Princess spoke with conviction to her subjects. Contrary to her late half-brother, she didn't require a teleprompter to make her points.
Inspirational speeches have the power to move people, motivate them to action, and positively impact their lives. Many people throughout the Empire's history have used the platform of public speaking to inspire and enlighten others. It's something that Marrybell has had to practice as Princess and future ruler ever since she was ten.
She expressed her shock and disappointment when she revealed that the EU had launched an attack on the territory of Area 24.
Marrybell goes on to the next subject, regarding the JLF rebels. She had talked about the JLF and their stronghold on Iki Island, housing laser weapons from the Chinese. And that she had the blessings of her elder sister Cornelia to destroy the depot. In that statement, she expressed concern that the JLF might use the laser weapons to attack commercial flights.
Euphemia was not happy when she learned that her sisters had conducted a strike in Kyushu. They must have known that she would never improve in such an action, espesuly when she had secured an agreement with Zero on the prisoner exchange. Whether if it was Marry's idea is none of her business, but the fact that they would go out of their way to hurt people when she is trying to save lives is unacceptable.
She and Milania walked through the halls of the Viceroy Palace, to where Marrybell and Co. were having their press conference.
Marrybell and Cornelia have just concluded their press briefing. As they walked out with their knights, they encountered Euphemia and Milania. The look on their sister's face is of anger.
Cornelia sighed, as she gestured for her sister and Milania to walk with them. Marrybell's expression, on the other hand, is one of calmness but with determination to eliminate the Empire's enemies.
"Is it true, sister, that 'they' have the chemical weapons?" Euphie questioned.
Cornelia had confessed that there were no chemical weapons on that island, but there were laser weapons that they had left behind for the enemy to seize. Marrybell was determined to seize the initiative.
Euphemia had argued that this was a sensitive time for them to get the prisoners back, and accused her of going against her word on the prisoner exchange.
Marrybell did not say anything during the exchange between her half-sisters, but in her mine, she is annoyed. Annoyed by Euphie not wanting her to help destroy Zero and his followers. With the opportunity, she had at her disposal last night, she would have really cut loses on those rebels and would have cowered before her. That is the correct way of settling things with the prisoners.
The Viceroy of Area 11 felt irritated at her baby sister's words and pointed out that she and Marrybell didn't promise anything. And that they have only following along with their Brother's plan and urged Euphie to be grateful.
"I see... This can't go on this way." Euphie said. The Hero Princess simply darted her eyes at her sister.
Cornelia scoffed, "Once again, you have a lot to learn if you ever want to become Empress."
Euphie did not want to think about ever becoming Empress; she already has enough power as it is.
Cornelia then felt the need to reassure her sister not to worry about their men, they will be released from captivity. Schneizel likes to do things by the book. Seeing that her baby sister is still not happy, she promises to make it up to her.
Euphemia then assured that she was okay, just disappointed that it happened, and that she was sure she would get over it. Cornelia wasn't sure she would buy that, but she went along, nevertheless, glad that she had this matter behind them for now.
Marrybell had observed Euphie's expression.
"I should go, keep our guest company." Cornelia smiled at Euphie and then at Marry. Marry gives a nod to her elder half-sister. Cornelia then left with her Knights, leaving her younger siblings, Dame Oldrin, Sir Orpheus and the Romanov.
On this particular day, the sun was shining brightly in the sky. Lady Marrybell picked up her bow and arrow, taking careful aim at the target in front of her. With a steady hand, she let the arrow fly, hitting the bullseye with perfect precision. Her sister Euphemia, Oldrin and the guest clapped and cheered, marvling at her talent.
Marrybell's focus was unwavering; her movements were fluid and precise as she showcased her incredible skill.
As the afternoon approached the evening, Marrybell finally laid down her bow, her spectators lavishing her with praise and admiration for her impressive performance. With a radiant smile, she thanked them for their support and camaraderie, grateful for their unwavering encouragement and she explained to the guest the importance of practice and determination in mastering any skill.
Euphemia listen intently along with her friend, Melina, then whisper into her ear.
"You seem troubled."
Euphemia, "I'm worried that she will do something reckless that might provoke Zero."
"Figures... You don't think she's going to lose if she does?"
"I don't know, but..." The Pink-haired Princess recalled from her geass of her sister joining with Lelouch at the very end, but she died at the same time he did. She had wondered about Marry's true reason for standing with Lelouch. What if- NO. She can't be certain, as she currently has no control over her power of premonition as opposed to her power of awakening.
This is so confusing! She knows all about the Zero Requiem, but her memory of Marry's role is so hazy; all that she remembers is that she had control over the Fleija weapons, but her former Knight, Orpheus, stopped her, and they ended up killing each other.
"I'll give her credit; she is a savaged warrior like Cornelia, and in this instance, she would rather die a warrior's death than surrender."
"Yea... they don't want to lose, Marrybell especially. You know, Marry wasn't always like this; she was always so much fun to hang out with."
"I wonder what changed."
"It is complicated, but it had something to do with my father." Euphemia sighed as she and her friend watched Marrybell give a lecture to their guest, with Oldrin at her side.
"So," Euphie smiled at Milania, "Savage warrior, huh?"
The Romanov suppressed her laughter, "Forgive me, it would appear that those wounds, inflicted by the Lion and Snake, have not been healed just yet."
"It's okay; just make sure not to make it a habit. They'll probably have you behind bars," They both giggled.
Marrybell ordered the workers to leave, except for the aids, who had been instructed to move the equipment downstairs after she was done. As the spectators returned to their posts down the exit, Euphemia came to greet her sister, with Oldrin as her escort.
"I believe we have not properly introduced myself, Milania," Marry remarked as she took off her gloves and handed them to Oldrin.
The Romanov was mildly surprised that the Hero Princess had brought up her name, it has almost spooked her. She cleared her throat.
"There's no need, your Highness, I know who you are." She did a crusty bow right after Princess Marrybell shot her a look.
"Good. That means I don't have to dispense with the pleasantries. Leave now; I like to have a chat with my sister without any guests snaring at me."
Euphemia was about to say something-
"As soon as possible, your highness," Milania bowed her head.
"Milania-"
"It's alright, Milady, based on the rules of war once must be subservient. I'll meet you downstairs in the living quarters." The Romanov gave her friend an apologetic smile.
Euphie nodded to her as she went downstairs. After that...
"What was that all about?" The third Princess questioned.
"Let's just say that I know the kind of person she is, and you should too." Marry said. Euphie sighed.
"You're wrong, and I won't stand for it as Grand Duchess of Euro-Brittannia," She crossed her arms.
"Keep telling yourself that, you are not Grand Duchess yet."
"This is definitely turning into a quarrel," Oldrin thought with an awkward smile. She wondered if this would turn into a brawl? If that were to happen, Euphie might get a black eye. Marry is no push over despite appearances. It would be too premature to assume that they would fight each other, Marry would win, and Euphie would not hurt a fly, but if that were to happen. She would have to break it up fast.
"You are referring to the counterstrike I've conducted, no?"
Euphie sighed, "yes," she admitted. Marry simply shrugged her shoulders.
"I thought it was a very successful operation."
"People got hurt, Marry," Euphie scolded, "and you said that you would support me on the prisoner exchange."
Marry giggled at this: "The counterstrike operation is the sequel to the previous one, remember? This has nothing to do with the prisoner exchange that I agreed to. All we did was degrade the JLF's and BK's capabilities in the high-tech sector, deterring them of more attacks. Oh, and for the record, no one was hurt, except for the terrorist. Terrorists aren't people, you know.
But since you clearly have put your heart into this agreement, let me assure you, as your sister, that I wouldn't do anything more rash when and after you have your meeting with Zero."
Euphie narrowed her eyes as she crossed her arms. She then thought it over and sighed.
"Alright, I believe you. You seem to know what you are doing, but please don't make a mess of things. I don't want you to get in trouble again."
Marry scoffed, "Thank you for your confidence in me, dear sister. Just remember that Cornelia and I will go scorch earth if Zero hurts you."
"Um, permission to speak?" Ordrin asked.
"Permission granted," The 88th Princess said with a smile.
"With that out of the way, I believe that we should talk about your archery skills."
"Oldrin, you never spoke more fondly about archery," Marry said. "I remember you sleeping the whole time when we were little kids."
"I was just visually resting and you know it! It's called saving energy for the importantparts."
Marrybell smirked, "Important parts? You mean the part where they shot arrows at the target while you drooled on your uniform?"
Oldrin started grinning, "Hey, I was very comfortable! And if I recall correctly, I'm the one who had to wake you up because you were snoring!"
"To be fair, that third demonstration was a cop-out. Clearly, the demonstrators were not skilled at it." Marry rolled her eyes.
"What do you mean? I thought it was great last time!"
"Sure, but it just felt a bit... showy? I'm sure they mean well, but sometimes I wonder if their boring theatrics take away from the actual dedication to the sport."
"And here we go..." Oldrin huffed.
"Archery is an ancient and traditional sport that has been practiced for centuries. It involves using a bow to shoot arrows at a target, and its benefits extend beyond just physical exercise."
"Wow, you haven't lectured me to death."
Euphie giggled, she never thought she was relieved in the subject change, "Its okay to admit that you don't like archery."
Oldrin huffed, "I never said I don't like archery— but whatever." The knight shrugged her shoulders.
Marry shook her head, "I consider Oldrin to be a Novice at it."
"And that makes you the absolute pro?"
"Duh, I am the Princess and future ruler, after all."
"That's a fancy way of saying, 'I'm just showing off my cat-like reflexes'."
The reddish-pink haired princess puffed out her cheeks in a pout, causing her sister to laugh. Then her personal Knight joined in the laughter as well.
Marry sighed and crossed her arms, "Well, at lest I can plan ahead, unlike you. On that note, I was informed by Dame Rio that you're planing to go to this 'Ashford Academy ball."
Euphemia blinked in surprised, while Oldrin's face brightened in excitement.
"Ashford Academy? I have been meaning to go there and say hello to Rio!"
"And get this, Euphie has been seeing somebody, I've heard he's handsome," Marry said proudly. Oldrin gasped.
"No way...!"
"M-Marry...! T-this is personal..." The third Princess stammered.
"Don't act all surprise, sis, Rio is still obligated to report to me on anything interesting in that academy. The fact that you're seeing someone, apart from Suzaku, is fascinating."
"Marry don't say such things," Euphie scolded.
"Now I get it! You've been sneaking off and meeting people, like that guy you're seeing."
"Also, I should add that this man is a member of the Ashford Academy Student Body Council."
"Really? Oh right, Rio did say that she was a member on her first day. I bet he's cool to hang out with! Do you know his name, milady?"
Euphie felt like her heart stop.
"Sadly, Dame Rio hasn't told me his name," Marry said with a thinking pose. Euphie made a massive sigh of relief.
"Awe, that too bad," Oldrin pouted.
"Hey, there's no rule that we can't go to the Ashford Academy ball, right, Euphie?"
"W-Why do you even want to go there with me?"
"Ashford's reputation is getting better among the Nobility. Plus, it would be a perfect send off for me once I return to Area 24."
"O.M.G you took the words right out of my mouth. I do want to meet Rio's new friends too, they're probably as hard working as I am. Euphie how about it-"
"There's is no way I will let you come along!" The Pink-hair Princess shouted.
"I would tell Cornelia about your new boyfriend and all the other stuff at that school if we don't go."
"What!? B-But that's not fair!"
"Please, pretty please? Can Marry and I go with you? We don't have to meet your new boyfriend," Oldrin pleaded with her hands clamped with those sparkling eyes.
"As long as he is Britannian I'm good," Marrybell remarked with her hand on her hip. Euphie's face reddened as she twiddled her fingers out of embarrassment. This was supposed to be her special day with Lelouch and Nunnally and their friends. She understood the risk, but she wanted to spend as much time with her true family as possible.
Euphie is not the kind of person that would let go of her true feelings towards the people she loves most.
"Alright but-" Before the third Princess could continue, Oldrin Zeven cheered while Marrybell gave an amusing smile.
"Keep it down," Euphie hissed.
"Oh, sorry," Oldrin said sheepishly. The Pink-haired Princess sighed.
"Anyway, this should be between us, Big Brother and Big Sister must not find out about it."
"About your new pals? No problem. So, when's the party?"
"Well..."
The Knight Police Station during the day presents a commanding and organized appearance, often characterized by a blend of modern and traditional architectural elements. The building is robust and well-structured, featuring a prominent facade that exudes authority and accessibility.
Several Knightmare Frames and armored vehicles, as well as the Knight policemen, were parked in formation. The high-ranking officials have inspected the men and their weapons, while the commander of the force converses with his subornante in a rather dismissive. They have been tasked with tracking down the Killer Harlot by Princess Cornelia and tidying up the place for her and her younger sibling Marrybell for inspection of the station.
Everyone in the KnightPolice knew they could not fail her, especially with the Hero Princess involved.
...
Meanwaile at the breakfast café.
The Breakfast establishment has a cozy and inviting atmosphere that allows its customers to leisurely enjoy their morning meal. The menu typically features various breakfast staples, such as eggs, pancakes, waffles, French toast, oatmeal, and breakfast sandwiches. However, this establishment made a point to brag about being the best, in Empire fashion.
A breakfast café is a dining establishment that primarily focuses on serving breakfast dishes to its customers. These establishments often have a cozy and inviting atmosphere that allows patrons to leisurely enjoy their morning meal. The menu
Is this establishment being run by a stuck-up nobleman and not by legitimate businessmen? Yes.
The café used to be owned by a Japanese owner, but now it's been taken over by someone from the Britannian Nobility.
Silvia sat at the table with her legs crossed while she was talking on her phone.
"Can you believe it? The food here isn't as good as it used to be."
"And how are you aware of this, given that you have not visited Japan before the invasion of the Empire?"
"Point taken, milord. But I just think the food here is just as bland as those idiots at the top. Clearly, they have replaced some of those ingredients with their own ones from the homeland. They're knockoffs of the original."
"Anyway, back to the topic. Lady Bianca informed me that Princess Marrybell will be attending the Ashford Academy Ball."
"You don't say? This will be interesting. What do you want me to do with her?"
"Nothing that would draw attention to us. I trust that things will be as orderly as they should be since you are going there as a caretaker."
"Don't worry, I'll make sure the chaos is kept to a minimum... or at least stay one step ahead of it!"
"Let's hope so."
"By the way, how did Lady Bianca know that about you-know-who coming to the ball anyway?"
"Do I really need to asked?"
"I suppose not," Silvia giggled, "Anyway I will get back to you Milord, I have almost done with my morning meal."
"Very well, enjoy your break."
Just as Silvia hung up, she overheard a loud quarreling in the establishment from the kitchen. It would seem that her target has been shouting at his employees.
'Look like it's coming from the kitchen.'
The killer-Harlot chuckled to herself. Just by observation, she can tell the man in charge of this coffee shop is, in fact, a snobby nobleman. And she can heard one of the employees utter his name, 'Lord Eddward'.
The Noblemen in question started shouting at his employees in the kitchen. Ah, yes, the fine class of human society.
'Of course, it's about money.'
With a malevolent smile, she felt happy that she had found her next victim. A perfect display to show her art skills to Cornelia and to steal money from her friends.
Viceroy's Palace, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11(Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 11:48 AM
As the sun rays streams through the tall windows, a neatly organized music room comes to life, inviting creativity and inspiration. The warm golden rays illuminate rows of musical instruments, each carefully placed to showcase its unique charm-from a polished piano to well-tuned guitars, and vibrant violins resting delicately on stands. Sheet music is neatly arranged on a polished wooden table. With its tranquil ambiance and harmonious decor, this sunlit sanctuary offers a perfect refuge for both seasoned performers and aspiring artists, creating a space where the magic of music can flourish.
At the age of nine, Euphemia reluctantly begins piano lessons due to her Step-Mother's insistence. Initially resistant, she finds solace in the piano, thanks to her late brother Clovis.
Her fingers move to the melody of the song, channeling her feelings of loneliness and isolation into her music with each press of the piano keys. Marrybell watched her sister play with a thinking pose; she was listening to her sister's song with interest.
Dame Oldrin was listening too, though she is not one to do the piano herself. It was practically a given that Euphie would be good at it, but still, it was pretty wonderful.
As Euphemia finished what was on the song sheet, Oldrin clapped.
"Okay, now that was pretty outstanding," The female Knight exclaimed.
The Prink-haired Princess made an apologetic smile as she looked at her entourage, "Um, thanks."
Oldrin blinked, "Huh, is something wrong?"
"No, I just thought that you'd been to a piano concert before." Euphie said as she stood up from the seat.
Marrybell crossed her arms and said, "She's not one to sit down and do tea parties, and she rarely goes to operas."
Oldrin rubbed the back of her neck, "Yeah, I don't do boring concerts. That was part of the reason I was glad to enroll in a military academy— Hey! Since when did I say that 'I don't do tea parties."
Marrybell laughed, followed by her sister Euphemia. Oldrin huffed.
"Okay, so I like to be a party animal, beats being a fancy nerd. Hey, is that a guitar?" She ran over to the guitar in question with a sparkle of curiosity.
"Um, yea. Clovis is into all kinds of fine arts," Euphemia said brightly, "I'm not too good at it yet, but..."
"Hey, maybe I can give it a try—"
"Don't even think about it," Marry said with her face deadpan. Oldrin froze before her fingers could touch the guitars.
"It's not a big deal, I don't mine. I played with the guitar sometimes, not very great mine you," Euphie said cheerfully.
Oldrin exclaimed as she began to reach the guitar.
"Wait," Marrybell said sternly.
Oldrin freezes again.
"Does Big Sister know about you touching Clovis's guitar?"
"Yea, but not anymore since she worried that I might cut myself with it."
Marrybell paused for a moment, "How did Clovis even own a guitar collection anyway? It doesn't look like the homeland brand," she wondered aloud while she signaled Orldin not to touch the guitar.
Euphemia made a thinking pose and then exclaimed, "I think he's been pillaging treasures from the Japanese over his tenure."
"Pillaging? More like confiscating," The Reddish Pink haired princess said with her arms crossed.
"Well— yeah, that's what I meant. Confiscating!"
Marrybell's face deadpan at her sister before sighing, "Now that Clovis is no longer with us, might I suggest that we make rearrangements of this room? Perhaps with a little more feminine touch."
Euphemia's brows frown. "I haven't thought about making any rearrangements in this room since our brother died. Do you have any ideas in mine?"
Both Princesses jumped at the sound of the guitar. They both looked at Oldrin playing with it.
"Seriously, Dame Oldrin!?" Marry scold.
Oldrin said, "I can't help it, and besides, you didn't give me a direct order." Marry puffed out her cheeks.
"Fine, I ORDER you to drop that guitar."
"Yes, your highness," Oldrin said, placing the guitar back in its position. Suddenly, a thought just occurred.
"Hey, do you think this would be good for the Ashfords ball? We could give these away to Euphie's friends."
"That sounds like a good Idea," Euphie exclaimed.
"Really? I was really contemplating having those guitars burned. Especially since they're not a homeland brand."
"I don't know, Marry, they work pretty fine for me," Olrdin chirped.
"Dame Olrdin, may I remind you of the historical precedent of what you are saying? Local brands are the best quality."
Oldrin walked up to Euphemia and Marrybell with her hands on her hips and a huff.
Marry and Oldrin discuss guitars based on foreign brands and domestic brands. Marry was critical of foreign guitar brands and praised domestic brands, while her friend just liked to defend foreign brands.
Euphie then giggled at the lighthearted conversation, followed by Marrybell and Oldrin.
Outside Eddward Manner, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11(Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 12:53 AM
The KnightPolice have arrived at the sight after reports of gunfire and detonations of explosives. There are several bodies of dead bodyguards in the main hall, which the KnightPolice have put in body bags. In the Master bedroom, the owner of the manner, the police were startled when they saw that Eddward himself, a member of one of the inner circles of the financial institution in Area 11, was hanged by the ceiling fan.
Back outside, Princess Cornelia impatiently waited outside with her Knight, Guilford. She had a tip off from Guilford that Silvia was sighted coming to the manner, but it appeared it was too late as the Harlot had claimed another victim. Eddward was one of their creditors and a shrewd tax collector, he helped keep the money spigot going for her ongoing anti-terrorist operations in Area 11.
Not like Cornelia needed Eddward, as she was already contemplating on how to get rid of him for his growing incompetence in the past, she was sure to track down Silvia.
An Imperial officer ran up to Cornelia and Guildford with a salute.
Cornelia raised her hand, "Report."
"No sigh from the perpetrator, anyway, of the surrounding area."
"Anything else?"
"Yes. They manage to steal the money and jewels from the Lord Eddwards safe."
"Just one?" The violet-haired woman narrowed her eyes at her subordinate.
The officer nervously said, "They picked clean all three of the safes, including a copy of the schematics of the Penguin."
"Eddward was tasked with reviewing the damages sustained by the Japanese Liberation Front's air force and was suppose to give out financial recommendations to Dalton, my lady," Guildford said.
"Why am I'm not surprised?" The Goddess of Victory pulled out her gun, pointed at the officer, and fired at point blank at the officer's forehead before he could react. The KnightPolice in the surrounding area jumped at the sound of their Viceroy's pistol firing before quckily minding their own business. Being at the resiving end of the Viceroy's rage is the last thing to think about.
The paramedics came rushing in to grab the dead officer.
"Guildford, be sure to inform General Dalton about the Penguin. I'm considering raising the threat level regarding the Killer Harlot," Cornelia said as the paramedics dragged her dead victim away.
"Yes, your Highness!"
"Maybe it's not too late to convince my brother to raise the issue with the Bianca Alliance. It might make our jobs a lot easier to brand them as terrorists."
"Perhaps your younger sister, Lady Marrybell might have an answer," Guilford replied.
"The Court only recognized the Bianca Alliance as the criminal organization. I don't want Marrybell to make a fool of herself on my behalf because she has worked very hard to regain her status as a Holy Monarch. They might not take her seriously if she goes about the Killer Harlot as a terrorist, despite her many accomplishments."
Guildford sighed, "Then the Prime Minister is the best and only option to give us a free hand in dealing with the Bianca Alliance in Area 11."
"He and, of course, Guinevere, as she holds the greatest influence in the court."
To Cornelia, it is long overdue to deal with the Bianca Alliance in its current form, but not only that, she can draw out that Harlot that eluded her before. No one has escaped her and lived to tell about it. The Viceroy detests going through the most mundane aristocratic and legal lingo again. She is Cornelia Li Britannia, the goddess of victory herself, not some groveling fool. But if the Killer Harlot could not be stopped, then Marry and Euphie will be targeted by the Harlot so she has no choice.

"The Vietnamese Resistance Group has acquired two enemy transports containing a weapon depot of Hypersonic and TLS systems."
The computer screen showed a map of the transport planes escaping from Hanoi to the Shenzhen Province, where they made a pit stop. Then they flew to Taiwan Province and now to the East China Sea.
"Furthermore, Chinese Federation Liaison Yun Ping has informed us of the arrival of additional materials from the Shenzhen Province that will be helpful for our KMFs, as well."
The computer screen showed a screen of the hijacked Cloud-Chariots heading towards Kyushu.
"However, the Holy Empire has caught wind of the information and sent out a signal aircraft carrier taskforce to destroy the allied transport planes. Like before, Maya will mark the targets on the enemy and with it our missile forces will do the rest."
The screen switched to one aircraft carrier and four attack flotillas. Several F-16 V's and a dozen Su-34s. Then the image switch to the emblem of the Wizard Squadron.
"The Wizard Squadron has been involved in the counterstrike, ordered by Mayrrybell Mel Britannia. They are part of Area 24's 'Anti-Terrorist' initiative and air defense. Public information indicates that the Wizard Squadron is highly skilled and possesses the latest technologies for their aircraft. It is best not engage and leave the combat zone if the Wizard Squadron or Lancelot show up during the mission, as the potential for major threats from the enemy is high.
The Vietnamese Resistance has given us this opportunity for the Black Knights and Her Majesty's Japanese Liberation Front. Let's hop that we can repay them by completing this mission. Dismiss!."
Fukuoka Airport, Kyushu, Area 11(Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 07:45 PM
The pilot climbed up the ladder leading to the F-35's cockpit. He got on the seat. The pilot closed down the canopy and started the engines. He watched his comrades take off from the flight deck, and for about a few moments, he slowly parked the F-35 on the flight deck.
"Torii, you are clear for takeoff." Said the carrier conductor through the radio.
The pilot slowly started the engines, the catapult launching him into the air. He flew up to catch up.
"Torii, altitude restrictions cleared, good luck!"
...
East China Sea
Imperial aircraft are pursuing the three hijacked transport aircraft. The Enemy fighters locked on target and fired their missiles at the Cloud-Chariots.
The transport plane's lunch flares, causing the missiles to fly off course and miss.
"Oh crap! They're closing in on us!"
The Cheetah Squadron and Marko Squadron have arrived in the combat area.
"Hold, your horses; we're coming," Maya huffed. She had recently chosen to use the Shenyang J-35 since it can land on an aircraft carrier.
"Bought time you showed up."
"Yeah, thanks for being patient. Maya, you know what to do right," said the AWACS coordinator.
"Yea, yea, like before. Mark the targets on the Britanian ships, and the missiles will do the job."
"Correct."
"I'm going back to bed after this, sir."
"Just forces on the mission."
"Copy. Maya engage!"
"Torrii engage!" said the F-35 pilot.
"Rai engage!" said the F-15 pilot.
Torii adjusted the visor of his helmet and gripped the throttle of his F-35. The skies above the East China Sea were a tapestry of chaos, painted with trailing smoke and the telltale flicker of weaponry afar. Above it all, the moonlight radiated with a deceptive serenity, unaware of the ferocious storm above the sea.
The Japanese Liberation Front's Air Force was countering the Empire's air superiority over their land with an aggressive push, but the Empire has been pushing back. Notably from Viceroy Cornelia and her youngest sister, Marrybell, who is apparently good at masking her true nature under her beautiful and innocent persona.
Torii and Rai got visual on the five bogies that broke away from pursuing the transport aircraft.
"I'm going after the three bogies! Torii, the rest is all yours," Rai said.
Their squadron responded with reassuring affirmations. Torii maneuvered his jet into position. The enemy F-16's color scheme is a combination of gold, velvet and blue, which seems menacing for anyone who is starting out in the JLF air force.
To Torii the colors reminded him of the Empire's Knightmare Frames.
With a flick of his wrist, he activated the radar. Beep. Beep. Beep. The screen lit up with three red dots converging towards him.
They're coming in hot!
As the enemy fighters approached, Torii immediately recognized them to be three enemy UAVs. The Cheetah Squadron had clashed with the drones before, but something about this doesn't seem right.
"Watch out. Those are Stealth UAV's from before. Take out the UAV's before they case trouble," said AWACS.
All concerns aside, he readied his weapons systems. He did a corkscrew.
Skimming low, Torii dove into the fray, unleashing a barrage of missile fire. The sky erupted with bursts of light, and two of the enemy UAV's exploded in a fiery display. The remaining stealth drone was quick, through, and it veered off to chase after the transport aircraft.
Torii locked onto the last UAVs as he was about to fire. His radar detects the two enemy F-16's on his tail. Ironic, those two F-16 were chasing after the Cloud-Chariots, now their tailing him. He once again did a corkscrew over the two enemies and started locking on to them and the drone.
Narrowing his focus, he slammed the throttle and pulled the control stick, climbing steeply above the enemy. Below him, gunfire exchanged like a deadly game of tag. As they shot past each other, Torii pulled a tight turn, putting himself on their tails.
With deft maneuvers, he picked off another enemy fighter with a well-aimed missile. The twisted wreck plummeted to the sea. The remaining two fighters began to scatter, desperate to evade him.
The ace pilot selected his cannons.
Torii unleashed a volley of rounds, the cannon's roar drowning out everything around him. One last enemy jet spiraled out of control, its pilot fighting to regain stability but ultimately failing. Torii felt the familiar rush of triumph.
But now, it was just him and the Stealth UAV. With a flick of his wrist, Torii switched on his afterburners, igniting the flame of speed that would propel him directly against the UAV. The drone color schemes are gray, with the symbol of the Britannian Royal coat of arms at the tip of the wings.
They danced through the clouds, a duel of skill and determination. In moments of insanity, their jets brushed close enough for Torii to take a good look at that UAV. In terms of skill, this isn't anything like the drones he fought last time. It was a high-stake game of cat and mouse, and each maneuver could spell doom for Torii.
"Just a little closer," Torii murmured to himself, breathing in the charged atmosphere.
Drawing closer, Torii locked on. At the moment of concentration, he squeezed the trigger. A stream of cannon fire cut through the air like a line of death, hitting the Imperial UAV squarely in a strategic weak point.
Time seemed to freeze as the UAV's sputtered, a gasp of flame engulfing the sweeping aircraft. Torii watched as it spiraled out of control and spiraled towards the sea.
"That's all the UAV's," AWACS said.
"All of them!? How did we not find out about those things during the briefing?" Maya shouted.
"Well, isn't that the question of the day?" AWACS.
Maya groaned.
"I'm sure we'll have more to say after the mission is complete."
"Aye sir," Maya gripped the throttle of her J-35.
She shook off her paranoia and did what she was told—complete the mission. In the arid expanse above the East China Sea. The rhythmic pulse of engines filled the cockpit of Maya's J-35. The ace pilot used to boast about her high score during VR training. Her last mission was her first major mission with the Cheetah squadron and with the highly regarded Commander in Chief of the JLF Air Force. And now she is embarking on another high-stakes mission that could turn the tide of the ongoing maritime conflict. At least that is what she hopes.
"Maya, do you have eyes on the target?" The coordinator of AWACS's voice crackled through the communication channel.
"Affirmative," Maya responded, her heart remaining still, a calm focus enveloping her like a familiar blanket. "I'm approaching the enemy, strike group now."
Maya took a look at the blip of an enemy aircraft strike group- three destroyers and a smaller frigate, their hulls stark against the swirling blue of the ocean. The ships were distracted by the Marko Squadron's assault, giving Maya the opportunity to mark the targets of the enemy.
As she neared the heart of the enemy ship formation, Maya flipped on her targeting system. The sleek interface illuminated with a schematic of the surface ships, presenting a clear picture of their vulnerabilities. She was thankful that the defense systems of these vessels were primarily geared towards airborne threats, and that they had released their surrounding fighter escorts for a skirmish with the rest of her squad.
Almost as if in sync with her thoughts, the enemy ships suddenly erupted in chaos, arms reaching out to challenge her presence-anti-aircraft guns swung into towards her direction. They were aware now, signaling to each other with urgency. Maya chuckled in her helmet. They thought they could scare her off with flares of fire and booming cannons.
"Starting my task," she murmured. "Give me a moment."
As she weaved gracefully through the air, Maya shifted the throttle, pulling her aircraft into a series of tight, agile maneuvers that would leave scripted pilots dazed. The dull rang of artillery echoed below her as shells erupted around the Chinese-made stealth fighter, sending plumes of water high into the air. A few shots grazed the wings, but Maya knew what she had to do.
"Alright, it's showtime."
She pushed forward, flying over the targeted destroyers, evading fire with the effortless grace of a bird in flight. Slipping through the infernal ballet of missiles and shells, her fingers danced over the controls, adjusting her angle. The screen pulsed with fervor as her targeting system tagged the destroyers with small, glowing markers, readying the coordinates for the JLF rocket force.
"Target marked! Firing range secure," Maya declared, adrenaline surging through her veins.
But the enemy was now frantic, scrambling small boats from their vessels and launching a desperate formation against her, whip-fast interceptors trying to catch her like moths to a flame. She glanced at the markers ticking down before her-just a bit more time.
"Maya! Get out of there!" Rai shouted through the line.
"I got, I got it. Hey, why don't you do something useful and cover me," Maya said.
With a fierce determination, she throttled up and arched back into the sky, her radar blaring alerts while she launched countermeasures, sending flares trailing behind her like stars scattered across the twilight. The enemy boats fell into disarray, their gunfire sputtering as they blindly followed her escape.
With a fierce determination, she throttled up and arched back into the sky, her radar blaring alerts while she launched countermeasures, sending flares trailing behind her like stars scattered across the twilight. The enemy aircraft carrier strike group fell into disarray, their gunfire sputtering as they blindly followed her escape.
Lasting seconds felt like an eternity, as Maya couldn't believe that she flirted with danger, narrowly avoiding the incoming fire and diving back closer to the waterline. In that chaotic moment, as if accepting their fate, she sent the last signal, allowing a final cascade of coordinates to flicker upon her screen-a sequence that would guide the hypersonic missiles to the enemy ships.
"Signals set!" Maya affirmed.
"Copy that! This is AWACS; launch the missiles!"
A moment later, the sky erupted with the thunderous roar of launched missiles streaking toward their target, like vengeful spirits emancipated from their dormant state. The enemy vessels remained unaware until it was far too late, swamped by a storm of precision-guided destruction.
The first explosion sent lit up the already moonlight, a brilliant light illuminating the dimming sky. One by one, the targets succumbed to the onslaught, chaos reigning as the enemy ships were engulfed in fiery plumes, leaving behind only fire, smoke, and debris.
"The enemy is in full retreat! Excellent work on the markers, Maya."
"Naturally," Maya boasted.
"Wait, something's coming!" said flight leader Junpei of Marko Squadron.
"What?" Rai.
"Now what?" Maya.
"It's coming in fast. The friendly cargo plans are almost out of the combat area, but keep on your guard," AWACS said.
...
The 8th Air Division 32nd Tactical Fighter Squadron, 1st Flight Wizard Squadron, consisting of eight jet fighters: four YF-23A and four F-16XL.
"This is Wizard Team to HQ. We have entered the combat zone and are awaiting orders," said the flight leader.
"HQ to Wizard Team; we read you. It's time to deal with the hostiles. Prepare to engage!"
"Yes, my lord!"
...
"It's the Wizard Squadron, and I'm picking up more drones. They just entered the combat area!" said AWACS.
"Should we retreat?" asked Rai
"No, we require additional time to repel the adversary until our companions depart the area."
"You're kidding me?" Maya asked, baffled.
"No, I am not! Just take out at least a couple of those drones, and we can get out of here. Marko Squadron, you know what to do."
"Right." said the Marko flight leader through the line.
"This is crazy!" Maya groaned as she joined up with Torii and Rai.
The enemy UAVs were sleek and menacing, painted gunmetal gray, with the same emblem of the Holy Empire emblazoned across their fuselage. Rai felt the familiar rush of adrenaline as he glanced at Torii and Maya, nodded his head. They had trained together for years, and now they were bound by an unbreakable trust forged in the heat of battle.
"Let's spread out, create a V formation," Torii instructed, his voice steady. The fighters obeyed, each pilot maneuvering their jets into position.
Maya took a deep inhale. Torii initiated the first move.
He pushed the throttle hard and felt the thrust propel him forward. He launched a series of heat-seeking missiles at the nearest enemy UAV. The systems of the UAV were up-to-date based on the data of the JLF Ace pilots, it calculated its maneuverability and turned sharply, trying to evade. But Torii was already anticipating the move. He cut through the air in a tight spiral, bringing his wings around in a perfect arc. The missiles found their target and detonated in a brilliant flash.
"Nice one, Torii!" Rai cheered, locating his own target. He pulled back on the joystick, climbing into the sky and then diving, unleashing a volley of bullets on another enemy drone. With pinpoint accuracy, he struck the sweep wing of the aircraft, sending it spiraling down toward the sea in flames.
"Two down, seven to go!" AWACS reported.
Maya banked sharply to the left, deftly avoiding incoming fire from the flank of two enemy jets that had started to tail her. With surgical precision, she turned and lined up her shot, squeezing the trigger with cool efficiency, which sent one of the pursuing drones careening into the sea.
Torii and Rai noted the furious dogfight around them, the air alive with the sharp shriek of engines and the explosive sounds of gunfire. They were outnumbered, but they had something the enemy lacked: synergy. Merging their attacks seamlessly, they covered each other's blind spots and capitalized on opening with calculated strikes.
"Rai, watch your six!" AWACS warned. Torii was about to assist, and Maya 's voice came through. "I've got him."
In an excellent maneuver, Maya swooped in from the right, executing a perfect barrel roll that caught the enemy jet unaware. With a single, well-placed shot, she sent another one spiraling into the sea.
"That's six," Maya confirmed, breathing heavily.
Now it was a matter of will and grit. As three Imperial drones darted toward them in a coordinated attack.
"All together. Let's finish this!"
The trio positioned themselves in a tight formation, each taking the lead. They wove in and out of enemy fire, like lasers flashing across the sky. With a precision, they executed a series of complex moves, drawing the enemy into their trap. Torii led the charge, with Rai and Maya flanking him.
"Dive!"
Maya's heart was pounding as she followed the command. They plummeted away from the incoming round, pulling up sharply just in time to take out the first of the three enemy UAVs, their combined firepower overwhelming it.
Maya unleashed a missile that struck another, causing chains of explosions to erupt in the moonlit sky.
"Only one left," said AWACS.
"This one's all yours, Torii," Rai.
"Take it down before those Britannian Ace pilots show up!" Maya shouted through the line.
Torii chased after the last UAVs. The drone as it made some calculated maneuvers, trying to shake the ace pilot off its tail. The combat UAV did a corkscrew, but Torii was still on it. The UAV did a sharp right turn, but to no avail, and then a hard left.
Torii locked on to his target. At first, he had a little difficulty getting it locked on, but he was ready for the final strike for the mission. He fired his missile and hit its target.
"Confirming nine kills, great job, Cheetah squad. The Cargo plans have left the combat area. Mission accomplishes. Return to base, admittedly, and rest up."
"Thank god, I'm out of here! Come on, you two, I don't want to be here when those Britannian Aces show up!"
"Right behind you," Rai affirmed, followed by Torii.
Fukuoka Airport
The three hijacked cargo planes have landed safely as the Marko Team has flown past the runway, having completed its escort mission. The personnel from the airport administration rushed in.
It was not long before the first and 15th Brigades of the Black Knights showed up and expected the payload. The crew of the Vietnamese Resistance has flocked outside to greet them, one of them is a Major.
Ohgi, Tohdoh, and Inoue shook the hands of the pilot crews as Rakashata merely watched and nodded along, seeming uninstructed.
"First off, it is an honor to meet with you all. I'm Major Bao of the 20th Army Brigade of the Armed Forces of Vietnam. It's a pleasure to meet your aquantice," the Major said with a toothy grin.
"Likewise," Ohgi smiled.
"As you can see, we were able to hijack some military tech from the Empire. It's the same one that the Empire destroyed last night, if I recall."
"Ah, yes, the TLS and the flying KMF technology that the Empire has tried to stifle. I believe that we can get used to that now that the Empire has taken an interest in trying to blow it up," Rakashata remarked.
"Yea, that's right, ma'am."
"You have taken a lot of risk by coming here; I would have assumed that the Chinese Federation would ground your flight." Tohdoh remarked as he crossed his arms.
The Major's brows frown, "Yes, they have grounded our flight in the Chinese Mainland and probably would have sent us back, if not for Ambassador Toshiomi's vouching for us."
"Toshiomi? As in the former Ambassador of Vietnam?" Inoue asked, surprised. Ohgi scratched the back of his head with an apologetic smile at his blue haired female companion.
As if on cue, A group of well dressed individuals, three men dressed in suits and an old woman in a turquoise kimono, fallowed by four of their aids.
Ohgi and Tohdoh can reconozed them the moment they walked out of the cargo plane. Their expression are stern. These are former members of the Japanese Parlament that have fled to Korea and then to China when the Empire have landed on their shores seven years ago.
Their aids and pilot crews guied the four MPs to the members of the Black Knights and the Major of the Vietnamese Resistance.
Agawa Kaugra, age 69, former female MP of the Phoenix Flower Party.
Hayashi Kenji, age 53, former male MP of the Iron Wood Party.
Fujimoto Chiyo, age 55, former male MP of the Liberal Party.
Watanabe Shin, age 62, former male mp of the Conservative Party.
walked up to them. Ohgi, Tohdoh, Inoue and the rest, except for Rakashata, bowed their heads to the four politicians.
Previously, Agawa Kaugra is known for her sharp intellect and cunning nature, often referred to as a money magnet of Japan in social circles. Her opportunistic mindset allows her to spot potential ventures and alliances quickly, which has both helped and hindered her throughout her career. She is loquacious and persuasive, often dominating conversations about finance, politics, and social strategy. Agawa Kaurga is fiercely loyal to the Japanese Crown, seeing her role as a member of Parliament as a way to serve her country while pursuing her own interests.
Next is Hayashi Kenji; previously, he was known for his easygoing nature and approachable demeanor. Colleagues and constituents alike find him warm and personable, often lighting up a room with his infectious laugh. He possesses a deep sense of responsibility and integrity, constantly striving to uphold the best interests of his people. Despite the heavy demand for his parliamentary role, he remains grounded, balancing seriousness with a sense of humor. He is empathetic and values open communication, making him an excellent listener. Kenji's unwavering support for his nation is rooted in a strong belief in tradition but tempered with an understanding of the need for progress and reform in a changing world.
Fujimoto Chiyo is characterized by his unwavering commitment to diplomacy, displaying patience and a remarkable ability to listen to differing viewpoints. He is empathetic and has an intrinsic belief in the power of dialogue, which makes him a natural mediator. While he can be persuasive and passionate when discussing his beliefs in equal rights and peace, he is also known for his humility and willingness to admit when he is mistaken. However, his relentless optimism may sometimes cloud his judgment, leading him to prefer idealistic solutions when pragmatic ones might be necessary.
Finally, there is Watanabe Shin. The sixty-two-year-old man is outspoken and articulate, possessing a sharp wit that he often uses to deflect criticism or elevate his arguments in Parliament. His conservatism is not just political but woven into the very fabric of his life, leading him to be both disciplined and meticulous. He is a shrewd investor, often chastising both colleagues and aides when he believes they waste even the slightest bit of taxpayer money. Despite his curmudgeonly exterior, he harbors a deep-seated sense of justice and will often champion the law and order. He tends to be dogmatic in his beliefs, rarely swayed by opposing viewpoints, but will change course if Princess Kaguya and the Kyoto House do not agree with him.
Ohgi, being a former teacher, knows all about them. All four of the politicians served as the legislative government in exile in the Chinese Federation. They have recently switched their loyalty to the Shogunate after Zero turned Sawasaki over to the Empire.
Ohgi had to admit, he was not convinced that the four politicians came back just to serve the cause. The Japanese Legislative body has been decimated by Britannia, and they can only think about their livelihoods and security rather than their own countrymen. On the other hand, it was the request of Princess Kaguya that they return to Japan at once, as part of her plan to get her government up and running as soon as possible, after the country was liberated.
Tohdoh has the same thoughts about them as well. Fortunately, Lady Kaguya is a Princess and the future sole empress; she won't have to deal with them, unlike Ohgi.
"General Tohdoh, it has been a long time." Agawa Kaugra spoke ever so firmly as she extended her hand to him.
Tohdoh took her hand and bowed his head, "Indeed it has, madam."
"There's no need to be formal; we've known each other since the last administration," the female former MP laughed, then she turns her sights at Ohgi.
"So you're Ohgi I presume," Kagura spoke flatly.
"Um, yes. It is an honor to meet you, ma am," He extends his hand to her. The sixty-nine year old woman looks at him with a hint of disgust, be for taking his.
"I must confess I was not convinced that Lady Kaguya would bestow a former teacher, let alone someone from the slumps. The last time we had a teacher serving as a Prime Minister in the late 1970s, he proved to be nothing more than a rodent," She remarked.
Ohgi was not sure how to respone to that, being compaired to the previeus leaders is not what he expected. It almost feels like a gotcha moment. He figured that Kyouko may of damaged the reputation of the guild, but not to extend that, these four MPs would sour over. Maybe Kyouko's sexual scandal was worse than he thought, and even though the guild dismissed her, she has already done a lot of damage to their standing.
Or it could be something else. He wishes he knew more about what had happened to her after she was let go, as the Empire has destroyed the records.
"That woman that you're always with... her name is Viletta Nu. She is an imperial officer of the Empire. Knight of Honor."
"What? I don't believe it," He dismissed it outright. Kyouko Sano's expression hardened as she crossed her arms.
"So you don't believe the words of your old comrade? You men are so predictable."
"Even though what you claim is true, how did you even know that she was even a Britannian officer?"
"I've seen her face before when I was their slave. I happen to remember faces of our overlords. How is it that I have to explain it to you?"
Ohgi's gaze fixcated on the ground, not sure what to think of Kyouko claims.
"You know what? You don't have to take my word for it. I just figured that I'd help you, we are still comrades if I'm not mistaken. Not to mention that you saved me from a horrible fate."
He refocuses his gaze on his friend, "That's true but-"
"Fine. Well, discuss this later, as well as our arrangement."
"Wha- what kind of arrangement is that?"
"I'll send you a text at an appropriate time, Ohgi." Kyouko Sano turned on her heel and said with a scornful tone, "I should go, don't want to keep your 'Chigusa' waiting."
Ohgi had the time to think about it; he had to wonder if what Kyouko said was true about Chigusa? It could be that Kyouko was messing with him, but he knew that she isn't the kind of person who would lie to him like that.
Kyouko could tell Kallen and she would believe it. Plus, the four MPs jump on the opportunity that would benefit them. And he was not sure about the 'arrangement' that Kyouko would want from him.
He guesses he has to wait for Kyouko's text message to find out.
"I will do my best," He said.
"The Teacher's Guild has had a really sharky reputation when Kururugi was in power," Fujimoto Chiyo remarked.
"Don't ever bring up that idiot, ever again. He made us big, and yet look how he coasts us. And don't get me started about his kid," Watanabe Shin responded angerly.
"Indeed, quite regrettable... Concerning the Teacher's Guild, Britannia has already burned it to the ground alone with most of the members. Fortunately, Ohgi has the battle-hardened experience to lead Lady Kaguya's government; the question of loyalty and competence should remain on the back burner for now.
I have faith that her Imperial Majesty and Master Zero have made the right choice." Agawa Kaugra said.
"Um, thank you. So, what led you four to come aboard?" Ohgi asked.
"To end the seven-year calamity in Japan, of course! When I've heard about Kyushu being contested, we knew it was time to return to Japan and ensure our Soveren Independence." Agawa Kaugra.
"That and the Chinese Federation decided to put up an eviction notice on us," Hayashi Kenji muttered to himself so no one can hear.
"Right," Ohgi nodded in agreement, "From what I've read, you have been one of the members that support the Sumeragi line."
"It is the sacred duty of the Shogunate to serve and protect the Sumeragi line," The old woman said proudly, "So I am ready to serve Lady Kaguya and Master Zero anyway I can."
"Okay then now that we had our introductions, can we plese head on over to the estate of her Imperial Highness? This is rather dull," Rakashata rolled her eyes.
"Um, yea," Ohgi sweat drop. He was sure that Rakashata was about to make an insulting remark about these people.
Inoue, on the other hand, had to remain silent, but it is so surreal to meet these MPs in person, though her impression of them is not so great. She did recall well before the invasion that her dad talked about joining politics, and her mom scoffs at him about it. Fast-forward to the present. Inoue now has a grasp on what her mother told her about the MPs constant roulette schemes when Genbu's Government was in power. She is thankful that Kaguya and Zero are not like Genbu and those former MPs will do everything they say, at least until the day everything in Japan completely stabilizes and become the goberment of the people.
Kallen had thought she had the whole estate to herself since her 'caretakers' had left for a social gathering. Now she had a call that the Sub-Viceroy was coming to visit her.
At first, she thought that her secret had been exposed, but after the call from Rio her concerns somewhat eased. It turns out Euphemia apparently wants to talk to her in private—no guards, no soldiers. Rio and some others will be waiting outside the house.
She couldn't care less about why Her Highness wanted to see her. But It had the Q-1 Pilot wondering about her last encounter with that Royal Puppet.
Forget it, she doesn't care what that stuck-up person would want with her. As far as she is concerned, Euphemia is the enemy and a high-value target.
Kallen had to remember to put on formal attire, so she wore an orange and red dress. As soon as the knock on the door had happened, Kallen went to the main hall, opened the door and was greeted by the Sub-Viceroy.
"Lady Eupemia! What an honor and a delightful surprise. Please — do come in," Kallen smiled warmly as she put on a soft persona.
Euphemia curtsying slightly, "Thank you, Kallen. You have such a lovely home. It always feels like stepping into a painting."
"You're too kind! But really, it's the company that adds the true charm. How has life treated you?"
Kallen gesturing inside, though she felt annoyed that Euphemia called her by her first name as if she had known her for some reason.
Euphemia gestured for Rio to wait outside before stepping inside the manor, "Oh, as you know, always busy with charity galas and office work I here that you and Lelouch are close."
"Did Lelouch talk about me?"
"Well, um, Milly talked about you a lot, actually."
"She knows Milly? When did that happen? And since when did she think that I was ever close to Lelouch of all people? Well, not that I hate him, he is cool and all- Ugh!" Kallen thought.
"Anyway, let's have this conversation in the dinning room, I trust that you have everything prepared?"
"Of course, there will be tea and sweats," Kallen said politely.
"Great!"
Kallen decided to play along with this for now and see what she had to say, it is the only polite thing to do for a Princess. Even though she is a Royal Idiot. And who knows, she might get some good intel for the Black Knights out of it. Then she remembered about the Prisoner swamp, which means that Kallen can't attack Euphemia. Well, at least she can attack out of self-defense if she had too.
Ashford Academy, Tokyo Settlement, Area 11(Japan), Holy Empire of Britannia 09:45 PM
"Seriously! I was hoping you and Nunnally could come over. I need some excitement in my life!" Kaguya said through the other line.
Lelouch paused for a moment, "I wish we could, but we're still at the academy, and not to mention our secret identity, remember?"
"Can't you just ditch? You and Nunnally could come in secret, right?"
Lelouch chuckles, "And risk failing chemistry? No, thanks. Wouldn't want you to keep getting bored without me."
"The tragedy! A world without Zero-sama!" Kaguya said it dramatically.
"Yeah, that would be something. But I promise we'll hang out soon. What about asking C.C to hang out with you? That way, you can watch movies and board games with someone."
"I suppose... she's currently in the shower, taking a bath. Maybe I should order pizza to get her attention when she gets done."
"That's a good idea."
"Awe man, I feel stupid asking you this, but then again, you are my future husband."
"No, you are perfectly fine."
"Great! I was thinking about 'Chrononauts.' Have you played it?"
"I recall you playing it with Nunnally seven years ago."
"We should totally have a board game night when you're free. We can add those epic movie time travels into the mix, you know, like Commander Conor or Time Machine 2.0."
"Yeah, I can already see you excitedly trying to convince me that time travel is real," Lelouch smiled.
"Oh, come on! Time travel is totally real in movies! Besides, isn't there some scientific theory about it or something?"
"Yeah, I think it's called 'Zero's Avoidance of Boredom' theory." He teased. Princess Kaguya laughed through the line at that.
"Anyway, how's your girlfriend doing? Is she as cool as you've made her out to be?"
Lelouch flustered, "Um, well, she's... um, wait. You meant about Euphie, right?"
He can hear her giggle, "Wow, that was smooth, Mr. Smooth Talker! Is someone blushing?"
Lelouch shaking his head, trying not to smile, "No, I'm not. Look, had I known were going to mention Euphie- I mean, my secret life, I would've prepared a speech!"
"A secret life? Lelouch the Time Traveler who has a girlfriend? It sounds like a movie plot!"
Lelouch sighed, this is something Milly say, "Don't give me ideas. Next thing you know, I'll be starring in a rom-com about my awkwardness as Euphie's betroth.
"You'd totally rock that role. But seriously, just tell her I said hi when you see her next at the ball!"
"We'll do. And be sure to spend time with C.C until then, okay?"
"You got it! Until then, I'll just be here, waiting to hear about your romantic escapades, and about me being your future first wife."
"No romantic escapades to report, I can assure you, milady. Talk later-"
"Oh, wait. I forgot to talk to you about the end mission briefing from the JLF air force."
"Oh really? Well let's have it then." Lelouch said.
He listened to the mission report from Kaguya. As well as the Japanese MPs who boarded the JLF Cargo plans.
"So with the help of the Vietnamese Rebels, we replenished our stock of Laser Weapons and right after Marrybell's forces destroyed our base that housed them."
"Yea. For what I can understand, this was in the books beforehand. But with Viceroy Marrybell's suprise attack, they have to pick up the pace."
He could hear her sigh through the line and a hint of worry as she continued.
"We are still devopling our air defense, but we wanted to make sure that Viceroy Marrybell doesn't find out about where we are currently hiding the TLS. Also, Tohdoh and Nagase have been worried that the Hero Princess might want to do a decapitation strike, whatever that means. I think they ment about me BUT I'm sure I'm safe at the complex since we have some really remarkable missile defense, but the same can't be said about the rest of Kyushu. It is still a work in progress."
"Have you spoken to Rakashata about the air defense capabilities."
"Oh yea! She told me that she is working on a radar and detection network, as well as a shield barrier, and that she needs an extra set of hands to get it up and running. Kei Nagase told me and C.C that she and her men will get it running as soon as possible."
Lelouch scoffed, "Shield barrier?"
"Mrs. Rakashata claimed that she's been working on it for a while, but it could only cover at least two football fields."
"Unfortunately, we don't have time for her pet projects, Marrybell and Cornelia will find out that Kyushu's defenses aren't what they appear if we wait around for her. We don't have enough resources, unlike Britannia and Australia, China and India wouldn't be able to provide us with their resources for that either. Frankly, I don't think a shield barrier on a regional scale has ever been done before, not to mention that it is physically impossible at this time. If she had any ideas, she should have informed me first."
Kaguya giggled at his mintier rant, "I figured you might say that so I told her to just focus on the radar and detection network."
"All right. The additional TLS, rocket launchers and Artillery are still a useful alternatives for Kyushu's dafence."
"Got it! I'll let Nagase and Tohdoh know."
"Good. By the way, you seem to mention Commander Nagase and General Tohdoh a lot, what happened to General Nagasaki?"
"Apparently he's been taking a nap after reviewing our ground forces. Don't worry about him; he is an old guy, after all."
"Of course." Lelouch remarked.
Kaguya laughed, "Yea... Anyway, I think I should get going- Darn it, not again!"
"What's wrong?"
"I was about to hang up, but you haven't shared your opinion about those MPs guys that I told you about."
"Well there is not much to say. What do you think?"
"I think all four of them are snotty; I understand that they have been running for the hills since the Empire took over, but now suddenly they have a change of heart? It sounds like a red flag to me."
"They have been living in the Chinese Federation for seven years, who knows what kind of deals they made over there?" He remarked.
"Yeah, keeping foreign influencers out is the first step for a new independent national government. Fortunately, our new Constitution, which you and I wrote, should be able to cover that, right?"
"That's right, encouraging compliance with anti-corruption and foreign interference regulations... You want me to come over so we can review the documents together, right?"
"Awe, Zero-Sama, you know me so well~"
"I'll be over there as soon as I can." He rolled his eyes.
"Don't keep me waiting before the Ceasefire, kay? Kiss~"
Lelouch and Kaguya said their goodbyes to each other on the phone. With that out of the way, he can go back to the dining room, with Nunnally and Soyoko waiting for him while they talk and sip tea. The white cat sat at the table with them.
"Oh, big Brother! Soyoko and I had a great conversation about the term, 'Reconnection."
"Really? I'm intrigued." He asked as he sat down at the table with his little sister.
"Yea, you want to hear about it Big Brother?"
"Of course," He laughed heartily.
"Okay! It goes like this: Reconnection is like a garden after a long winter; it requires patience and care to coax the blossoms of old friendships back into the light, where vibrant colors can emerge, and the sweet fragrance of shared memories fills the air once more. That's what Soyoko and I have been talking about..."
"That's actually a wholesome metaphor."
"Really? You're too kind, big brother," Nunnally giggled, "Anyway, who was it you were calling earlier?"
"Oh, that was Euphie," He caught himself and almost blurted out Kaguya's name. Obviously, he can't reveal Kaguya to Nunnally for countless reasons. And Euphie gave him a good cover.
"Euphie? Oh, you mean about the dance," Nunnally exclaimed.
"Yeah, well, at least she knows what she's getting into. Milly seemed to have a plan for us to keep us out of the public eye while we meet up with Euphie."
"I look forward to it. I know we met up with Euphie, but it is nice to see her again, and maybe she might want to steal you another kiss," Nunnally giggled.
Lelouch laughed as well. Having a cover story about him and Euphie as Betroth has its perks, he'll admit. "To clarify, she gives me a kiss on the cheek."
"Okay, I'll go with that Big Brother," Nunnally teased. Lelouch sighed in response.
The white cat saw that his cheeks showed a hint of redness. This is all too obvious to Bianca. Fondness is a warm quilt, lovingly stitched together from the fragments of shared moments, wrapping two lovers in a cozy embrace that shields them from the chill of solitude.
Bianca too looks forward to seeing Lelouch and Euphemia interact, as she felt that it was too brief the last time.
A chill wraps around her, the dark blue walls exuding an otherworldly coolness. The air is crisp, every breath is visible as a wisp of mist. Twinkling white stars seem to float along the vaulted ceiling, their glow casting ethereal shadows that dance across the icy marble floor. Each step echoes softly, the sound swallowed by the shimmering frost that glistens beneath her feet.
The walls, adorned with ornate mirrors, reflect not just Kallen but also a kaleidoscope stars, multiplying the celestial beauty around them. The mirrors distort reality, creating illusions of depth and space, as if the passage stretches into infinity. She catches glimpses of herself, ethereal and ghostly, as if the very essence of the passage is alive, watching.
The icy marble underfoot feels both solid and slippery, a reminder of the chill that permeates the air. Along the edges of the passage, delicate frost flowers bloom, their intricate patterns etched like lace against the cold stone. Each breath feels like a silent prayer in this frozen cathedral, where beauty and danger coexist, and the mysteries of the night beckon from beyond the stars.
Kallen had one look at herself in the mirrors before moving on. But the reflection of her did not leave. Noticing this, she stopped to look back at the mirrors. Okay, is she dreaming? Wait, how did it happen?
Kallen? A mysterious, disembodied young woman's voice, it sounded muffled.
The redhead girl looked around, looking for the source of the voice. It sounded like... Euphemia?
She looked back at the mirror and found that her reflection was wearing the Ashford school uniform. Another mirror with her reflection showed her in her usual rebel attire from the Shinjuku Ghetto. The next reflection showed her in her Black Knight uniform, the other reflection showed her in her Q-1 outfit.
Kallen...!
"What's the heck is going on? Why am I..." These are all the clothes she was wearing before. What? Why is she a bunny-
Kallen... what have I done?
Kallen ignored the voice as she hesitantly reached out to her reflection that showed her in her bunny uniform before it switched over to another dress she had never worn before — She stopped herself. Kallen was not sure if she wanted to touch the mirror, as she felt that it might unlock something.
She closed her eyes. This place is weird, but this is all happening in a dream, right? She felt close to waking up.
But.
She opened her eyes to see the reflections and took a deep breath, having made her choice. Kallen reached out and touched the mirror. Her eyes widen in shock when future memories and experiences flow into hers.
Mom.
Naoto.
The black rebellion.
Nunnally.
And the pleasurable and painful moments Kallen shared with Lelouch. Why is it happening to her now? Is… is it because of…
Euphemia!
The sound of a broken teacup can be heard throughout the dinning room. Kallen forced Euphemia to the wall by pressing her right arm against the third Princess' neck.
The blue Geass sigil dissipates from Euphemia's eyes as she was gasping from breath.
"Geass. Why am I not supirses?" Kallen hissed.
"Kallen...!" Euphemia gasped.
"Shut up! You did something to me did you?"
"Y-yes a-and I can explain, if you can let me."
"Fine." Kallen relased her grip. Euphie started to catch her breath as she massaged her neck.
"Start talking." The redhead spoke firmly.
Euphemia had explained to Kallen of what had happened after the incident on the islands.
Kallen was taken aback by Euphemia's explanation, "So to summarize, you obtained your Geass after you disappeared from that smoke. And you used it on me and Gottwald, allowing us to remember the original future timeline."
"Yea," The third Princess nodded, her brows frowns as she nodded.
"At least I had a choice." Euphie blinks in surprise.
"You mean-wait, that was what Sir Gottwald told me. So my Geass gives you a choice as well."
"I think it applies to everyone."
"Even so, I'm just glad it didn't force it upon you."
"I only made that decision for Lelouch."
"I know..." Euphie said sadly, "Kallen I—"
"You killed a lot of my people at that stadium, turned someone who might have been my friend into my mortal enemy, and caused Lelouch to give up on his life." Kallen clenched her fist, and her eyes started to tear up.
"Nunnally was screaming, SCREAMING! You wernt there because you were already dead!"
"What are you talking about? I was there!"
"You were there as a dead person!?" Kallen snarls.
"As a spirit, I never left them at lest!" Euphie placed her hands close to her chest.
"And here you are, back from the dead, claiming that you can fix this."
"I can and will fix this. I will fulfill my little sister's dream, Japan will be free and independent, and Lelouch won't have to die!"
"I don't trust you."
"You have to trust me!" the pink-haired princess pleaded, "I never want to put you, your people, Lelouch, and Nunnlly in danger ever again. I know Lelouch cares so much about you, do you not think I would not use my Geass if it were not true?"
Kallen did not say a word; instead, she looked the other way with her arms crossed. Euphie lowered her gaze as her tears started to flow.
"He trusted you with his life, so I'm trusting you with mine. You and Sir Gottwald are the only people I can turn to. That's why I..." Euphie started to weep.
For about a few minutes Euphie weeps, Kallen sighed and focused her gaze on the Princess.
"Why didn't you use your Geass on Lelouch so that he could remember." Kallen asked as she handed the princess a handkerchief.
"I don't want too," Euphie said as she refocused her gaze on Kallen, "I don't want him to live through that again."
"Well, I can't argue with that," The redhead girl remarked, waiting for the pink-haired girl to finish whipping her tears, "By the way, um, Nunnally has beautiful eyes."
"Y-yea," Euphie said with a meek smile, "She has such wonderful eyes, and I recall her wearing a royal dress, it was so adorable."
Kallen huffed, "Oookay, this topic change seems counterproductive... in terms of my sanity."
Euphie laughed as she handed the handkerchief back to Kallen, "There is nothing wrong with making a comment like that."
Kallen sharpened her gaze as she tossed the used handkerchief to the side, "Baka. I only said that just to make you feel better."
"Thanks anyway." Euphie smiled brightly.
"So, how exactly did you get your power? It can't just be from the World of C."
"I don't know how I gained this ability; I'm afraid."
"Could it be from your father?"
"Sir Gottwald did tell me something surprising about my father. For what he told me is common knowledge about him from the Geass Order. Everything I know about my father and uncle has been mostly blank," Euphie said it with a hint of terror.
"Does that mean you don't know about what happened to Lelouch's mother as well?"
"No, and I feel terrible about it, as I think I should know."
"I've asked because I never really thought about what Lelouch found out about his mother's death."
Euphie blinked, "You wanted to know too?"
"Well," Kallen blushed, "Not that I care or anything- don't read too much into it, or you'll lose your teeth."
"You know being part Britannian dose has its perks, but to threaten a Holy Monarch by punching them in the face dose has its downsides." The third Princess jokes.
"You are one piece of work, you know that?"
"Hey, I'm just being factual. All kidding aside, Lelouch does act like a living, breathing encyclopedia. Ever since we were little, he has said the most interesting things and in the most articulate way. I always thought it was most adorable when he spoke in that way. So I can understand why you want to learn more about him. You know, given your skills, you could be just ask good in a Knightmere Frame as the late Lady Marianne."
"Can we change the topic, please? I'm not the one fanning over Lelouch as you are." Kallen's face was even redder. Why is Euphemia comparing her to Marianne? Did she know about her private, intimate relationship with him in the original timeline? She feels stupid thinking about that possibility, not even C.C knew about it.
"True, true my apologizes; the official narrative is that Lelouch my betroth."
"Yet YOU are seemingly so good at it even now. Why is that?" Euphie giggled.
"Because I do want to marry him, so it wasn't a complete lie. Oh, and I distinctly recall Lady Kaguya wanting to set up Lelouch Harem Club with her as the head of the club. I wonder if I should join as well. Maybe there is an aplacation I should sign."
"Oh for the love of— Your Highness can we please not talk about this?"
"Oh, um, okay."
Euphemia and Kallen proceeded with their discussion and about the threat posed by the Emperor of the Holy Empire of Britannia as they sat back down at the table. Kallen was concerned about the bomb project, as it had been used in Tokyo, Japan in the original timeline. Euphemia had assured Kallen that it wouldn't happen this time. Which promoted Kallen to wonder aloud how Euphemia can prevent that with the authority that she currently has. The third Princess would impose restrictions on all uranium in all of Russia and Central Asia for military exploration purposes in her first act as Grand Duchess of Euro-Britannia. Euphie had explained to Kallen in great length how and why Euro-Britannia now has autonomy from her father's empire, but Kallen wasn't entry convinced and advised her to watch her back. Kallen had pointed out that Marrybell wanted to become the Grand Duchess of Euro-Britannia just for the reason of the uranium.
The Pink-haired Princess gasped in horror as she covered her mouth in shock.
"At least that's what I've heard," Kallen said as she crossed her arms.
"NO, Marry would never... I understand how Marry feels, she is not a tyrant like my elder brother Schnelzel."
"Marrybell did hold the keys to our destruction in the old timeline and was killed off because of it."
"She had to, that's why. Marry was not going to hurt anybody." Kallen sighed.
"You're right, I'm sorry. I'd only heard it from Orpheus and other sources at the time, her 'Knight' didn't put much faith in her. Also, they are resentful toward your sister, so half of the narrative might turn out to be a fib."
"I see..." Euphie's gaze lowered. Both she and Kallen did not speak for five minutes. The redhead ate one sweet pastry.
"ANYWAY... what do you know about the Bianca Allalince?"
Euphie sipped her tea, "I've only learned about them shortly after arriving back in Area- I mean, Tokyo."
"Now that you mention it... yeah, me too."
"Indeed, I too never heard about them in the original timeline. As long as they are not a danger to Lelouch and Nunnally."
"Agreed, they seem anti-Empire I can't say much about them." Euphie tapped her chin.
"I could use my Geass to predict their actions, but I'm thinking that it might not be a good idea."
"Yeah, best not to test that theory—"
"The Cat," Euphie erupted and exclaimed.
Kallen flinched, "Wha—"
"The White Cat!"
"What about the Cat?" Kallen reacted to her crazy guest.
"There was a White Cat with a red jewel on her forehead and a collar with a marked Geass Sigil that was with Lelouch and Nunnally. That never happened in the old Timeline!"
This promoted Kallen to do a thinking pose, "You're right, it didn't happen before."
"Then she must be from the Geass order."
"Funny, that was my first thought, but I don't think so. According to Silvia, the Cat belongs to the same 'criminal' organization, they worship her like a god, apparently. I first saw her with C.C at HQ we assumed it to be C.C's Cat."
"Then Felicia must be connected to C.C," Euphie sighed in relief. The third Princess doesn't know if she can trust C.C fully, but she was able to save Lelouch's life two times. Without her, she would never see him again. Anything connected with C.C is a good luck charm for the life of the person she loves so dearly.
"Actually, her name is Mittens. At least, that is what C.C calls her anyway."
Both Euphie and Kallen laughed.
Kallen and Euphemia walked outside the manor after their important discussion. The limousine was parked and ready to depart for the Viceroy Palace, with Sir Jeremiah Gottwald waiting in the wings.
"Anyway, I hope we can be friends after this," Euphie said.
"I am still very upset with you but in no mood for a personal vendetta," Kallen said, crossing her arms.
Euphie was about to say something, but Kallen raised her hand.
"Part of me knows that you will try your best to make things right for us. Just try to be less incompetent and leave the personal battles to us."
"I can't swear to that, but I will do my best for you." Kallen rolled her eyes.
"Well, your prisoner exchange is a good start for my people, so it's a start," The redhead extended her hand.
Euphie's expression brightened as she shook her new friend's hand. "A start of a beautiful friendship."
"Ugh, we were not-whatever, see you at the school ball." Euphie waved at Kallen as she walked down the steeps. Kallen observed that Gottwald had assisted the Princess inside the vehicle before he himself entered.
Kallen took a deep breath as they took their leave. There is so much to take in that she can't believe that it's all real, and it is not even a dream. She loved Lelouch, that's the main thing, but most of all, there was a chance that her comrades, whom she had known most of her life, wouldn't have to die for Japan's freedom.
Inside the limousine
"I take it that things worked out better between you and Lady Kozaki." Gottwald remarked.
"Yeah, I'm actually surprised that I'm still standing, though she was ready to kill or capture me."
Gottwald chuckled.
"N-Not that I feared her or anything; I didn't mine if she killed me."
"Well, milady Lady Kozaki is strong in Sprite, and in war she has proven herself countless times."
"Even she doesn't take revenge on the people she hates." She remarked. She wondered what her own Knight of Honor, Rio Salvo, was thinking. Lelouch had messaged her that Rio was looking for revenge. Both she and Lelouch agreed to work together on finding out what that revenge would look like in the eyes of the Brazilian girl. If she suspects what she thinks it is, then that means that Rio will be in deep trouble. Euphemia hopes that her new personal Knight will not take her revenge in a forceful way, but she feels that she cannot stop what is coming.
"One thing at a time, Euphie," The third Princess thought. First the prisoner exchange, then the Ashford Academy Ball, then preventing Rio from killing someone out of revenge and stopping Schneizel from building an atomic bomb.
