Ch 116 A Blast from the Future?

Rustboro City

The Weather was getting hotter by the minute, earthquakes were more frequent than before. People and Pokemon were getting more concerned, their eyes were plastered on the screen where a certain Newswoman was reporting on the situation.

"The Weather has suddenly taken a drastic turn," Gabby reported to the populace of Hoenn. "What was once a Beautiful Day has turned into a scorching hot Day." She informed the People who were watching.

Roxanne, Headmaster Kieth, Professor Ceder, Anthea, and Concordia, watch the News as the Students and Pokemon hope for the best.

At the Potter Laboratory, Rood and the rest of the Potter Family were helping the Pokemon calm down from the sudden shift in balance.

From Dewford Town, Brawly sat down on the bench press, watching the news. "The Water Pokemon that we could see on the surface has retreated down under." She continued,

In Lavaridge Town, Flannery sat with her Family in the Family Room.

In Sootoplis City, Wallace and his Family frown, knowing the signs of what they must do.

"With this Heat, Forest Fires are everywhere in Hoenn. Many Pokemon are in a panic, the Pokemon Rangers are on the scene ensuring both People and Pokemon are unharmed and safe." Gabby added; the Newsroom showed footage of the Pokemon Rangers aiding the Pokemon and People trapped in Forest Fires.

Gabby turns to her Cameraman, addressing the People who are watching. "I implore you all, to be safe during this time of crisis. If you are able to help then help the People around you." She said, wishing everyone safety across the Region.

On top of a Building, two young Men sat at the edge of the Building seeing the Legendary Pokemon walking through Rustboro City's Horizon. "When Dad said that this Day was the most difficult Day, he's not kidding." A young Teenage Boy with Steel blue hair and emerald green eyes spoke. "I mean look at how big is Groudon! You agree with me, right Lucario?" He looked at his Partner.

A blue bipedal Jackle-like Pokemon with metal spikes on his chest and both hands stood next to his Partner. Lucario nodded to his Partner's comment before looking at his Twin Brother, walking beside them.

The Steel-blue haired Teen sighed, lifting his Head upwards to the Person who approached him. "You know, if Dad was here, he would scold you for interfering with that Battle, Casey." He said to his younger Twin Brother.

"But he would praise me for helping him out, Aiden." The white-haired Teenage Pokemon trainer said, "We're here to ensure that Mom doesn't Die today. We already interfere by having Uncle N go with Mom and Adam on their Research Trip instead of them meeting during his travels, and making sure that she got that Book at Professor Birch's Lab, even helping Dad against Team Magma and Aqua."

Casey looks at his Brother, determined to change the Future. "We can't back out now this is the last chance we get to change the Past, for our Dad." The white-haired Boy said, looking down at his Hand before gripping it into a fist. "Dad has been raising us for so long and never found anyone after Mom Died… it's only right to give the happiness he deserves since he and Uncle N tried so hard to make us happy. Also…we never got to know her, just heard Stories and Photos."

"Casey…" Aiden sighs, knowing what his younger Twin is saying. He stood up, comforting the white-haired trainer as Lucario stood on the side. "I understand what you're saying. I want to know what Mom was like as well, but Aiden, you have to use Dialga's Power wisely. We already used three Jumps, this is the last Time Jump before going Home."

Casey nodded, understanding the situation they were in. "I know, we got one chance to save Mom from dying." He said, walking up to the edge, ready to do what they came here to do. "Aiden, do you think we significantly impacted the Timeline? From where I see it, it seems we hardly did a thing."

The Steel-blue haired trainer crossed his arms, thinking about what they did that changed from their Original Timeline. "Well for starters, there wasn't any Potter Family back Home and Uncle N didn't join Mom and Adam on their Trip. So I guess we did change a bit here." Aiden said, pointing out some major details in this Timeline.

"Then let's make this one big, right?" Casey asked, looking at his Brother.

"Right,"

Once Team Magma dropped everyone at Rustboro Port, Helena, Steven, Brendan, and N met up with Jackie.

The Pokemon Rangers were keeping an eye on the situation with both Teams. However, when they detected Groudon's Power and the Environment, instead of being on standby, they sent everyone to handle them.

Jackie was sent to meet with the Champion to relay what happened which Steven knows already. With that information, they proceeded to go to the Devon Corporation Building to plan on how to deal with Groudon.

However, there were reports of a Cave-in from Rusturf Tunnel. N, Jackie, and Brendan headed in that direction while Steven and Helena figured out a plan to stop the Continent Pokemon.

Within the Devon Corporation Building, Steven stood before the Devon Corporation's large Screen with his hand over his chin. He was reading the Data he had his Company's Researchers sent him about the Legendary Pokemon and the Teams' Data on it.

"Steven, I did some Research and found something." Helena walks into the Conference Room with Gardevoir and a Tablet in her hands.

Steven turns around to his Fiancée, hearing her words. "What did you find, Ellie?" He asked, curious what she found.

Helena smiled, answering the Hoenn Champion. "I believe I know where Groudon is heading." Helena projected the map and some Ancient Texts on the Screen, showing him what she found.

On the Screen was a moving triangle coming from the Southwest of Hoenn. Gardevoir handed her Partner the Pen so she could draw on the Tablet. "Thanks, Gardevoir," She smiled before

"This here is Groudon," Helena circled the triangle. "From the Ancient Texts that I studied, Groudon is heading to Sootoplis City." She explains to the Hoenn Champion what she and Gardevoir found,

"I believe Groudon is heading to the Cave of Origins to gain more of his power," Helena said, projecting the next text she found. "My Theory is that the Red and Blue Orbs may be the key to Groudon and Kyogre's Primal Forms. However, I believe it only granted them a faction of their original Power."

Steven nodded, listening to the black-haired Woman explaining her Theory. "I remember when we were at Sootoplis City we went to that exhibit of the Mural of Groudon and Kyogre. It explains that the Cave stores the Power that was once held by the original Legendary Pokemon."

"So do you think that's where Groudon is heading, Helena?" Steven asked, wanting to double-check with her.

"Gardevoir," The Duel-type nodded, supporting her Partner's claims.

The young Professor nodded, answering her Fiancé question. "I'm positive, Steven. It explains why Groudon is heading in a singular direction." Helena said, looking up at the Screen above them.

Steven crossed his arms, listing the things he needed to do. "Then we need to inform Wallace and the rest of Sootoplis City of Groudon's advancement to them." The steel-blue-haired Champion said to Helena.

"I just hope we can manage to stop Groudon before any damage anywhere," Helena said, knowing this is just wishful thinking. But she can't help but wish for that to happen.

Gardevoir smiled, also wishing for that for the good of Hoenn. "Gardevoir…"

Steven appreciated the positive thinking his Fiancée is doing. He kinda needs it after the events that happened recently, "That I'd hope too, Ellie." The Champion said,

The two walk out of the Devon Corporation after examining the Data and devising a plan to combat the Legendary Pokemon. Steven held his Rotom Phone to his ear, informing their Friend of the situation.

"Wallace, I'm sure you're aware of the situation and have already made preparations as Gym Leader of Sootoplis City, but I'm heading there now with a Team," Steven said to his Friend/Rival.

-ZZZ- Roger that, I could use all the help I could get. As a Sootoplitan and Gym Leader of Sootoplis City, I have to ensure that the Cave of Origin is safeguarded. -ZZZ- Wallace informed the Hoenn Champion.

"Right, we'll be right there," Steven said, ending the Call with the Water-type Gym Leader. He turns to Helena, wanting to ask her something. "Helena,"

The black-haired Woman looks at her Fiancé, hearing him calling her Name. "What is it, Steven?" Helena asked,

Steven gave her a concerned expression, "I want to make sure you're okay with Battling Groudon. You can stay with Mother and Father along with the Boys or stay here at your Laborotry."

Helena smiled softly, placing her hand on Steven's cheeks, "Steven, I understand that you are worried. But I've already made my decision to help you," She said with a smile, "No matter what I'm going to stand by you, despite the situation. After all, we will soon be Husband and Wife, right?" She asked him,

The Hoenn Champion sighs, seeing that Helena is still stubborn as always. Steven couldn't help but agree to her request. "Then we better get Jackie, your Brother, and Brendan." He reached for his Rotom Phone, calling his Father's Company.

A few moments later, the group was on a Devon Corporation Company Helicopter heading to Sootoplis City.

Within the Helicopter, Jackie wearing his Pokemon Ranger Uniform was communicating with Range HQ. "Sir, we're heading to where we believe Groudon is heading." The blonde Ranger informed his Boss.

A turquoise-haired Man wearing the Pokemon Ranger Uniform stood before Jackie through his Communication Device. He was Spenser, the Leader of the Pokemon Rangers and the one who dispatched every available Ranger to aid Hoenn in this time of strife.

"Are you certain that Groudon is heading to Sootoplis City?" Spenser asked his trusted Ranger. He wanted to make sure that the information he had was accurate.

"I'm positive Sir," The blonde Pokemon Ranger said, turning to Helena, trusting her intuition. "Professor Potter and a Collaboration of Researchers confirmed where Groudon is heading."

Brendan, N, Steven, and Helena looked at Jackie as he spoke with his Boss. "I can vouch for Professor Potter, her calculation seems to be accurate," Steven spoke up, ensuring that the information they have is well supported,

"Mr. Stone…" Spenser ponders for a moment before making up his mind. "Very well, if you believe that Groudon is heading to the Cave of Origins in Sootoplis City. Then I have no right to stop you, especially if the Champion is involved and requested our help."

The Leader of the Pokemon Rangers nodded, "Do your best to ensure everyone is safe from Groudon's path." Spenser said, trusting the group to protect Hoenn.

Jackie smirks at his Boss, having confidence in the group to do the job. "Don't worry Sir, we got everything handled."

The turquoise-haired Pokemon Ranger nodded, ending the conversation there. Jackie lowered his arm, turning to the group. "You heard my Boss, we better stop Groudon before he hurts anyone." The blonde Pokemon Ranger said,

"We did hear him, Jackie," Brendan said, ready to face the Legendary Pokemon.

N nodded, his eyes shifting from Person to Person, "Remember, our goal is to get rid of the Red Orb that enables Primal Groudon to regain his power." The green-haired Ability User said. "I'll try to speak with him and calm him down. I that doesn't work…do whatever you can to stop him."

"Understood, we'll do our parts too, N," Helena said to her Brother.

A few minutes into the ride, the Temperature increased the closer they got to the Sea surrounding Sootoplis City.

The Occupants of the Helicopter were sweating from the increased Heat. It's not that they weren't used to the Heat; they lived near the Equator of the Globe. No, it was the Heat radiating from Primal Groudon's Body.

Steven moves his hand to his collar, adjusting his collar. "I didn't expect it to be this hot," He said, losing up his collar.

"You shouldn't have worn your Suit, Steven," Helena said, looking at her Fiancé.

The Hoenn Champion gave Helena a smug expression, getting closer to her. "Why? You want to see me without a shirt, Ellie?" Steven asked, flirting with her given the chance.

Helena blushed, shoving Steven's face away from her. "S-Stop that, Steven. N-Now's not the time for that," The black-haired Woman said, smiling at the Steel-blue haired Man.

Steven chuckles before hearing his Protégé speak. "You two are like my Parents when they have a chance alone," Brendan commented, seeing how these two acted.

"Careful Kid," Jackie said to the brown-haired trainer. "Couples like them, and your Parents are dangerous. They can be the nicest People out there, but if you provoke them they can be the worst Enemies." The blonde Pokemon Ranger stated,

N couldn't help but agree with his Friend, "That we could agree, Jackie." The green-haired Ability User said, already getting used to seeing them acting like they are now.

Brendan could only nod at what the two were saying, not fully understanding what they truly meant. Mainly because he was still a Child, regardless he could see what they meant.

Suddenly the Helicopter began to sway at the turbulence,

The occupants of the Devon Corporation's Helicopter were tumbling within the haul. Steven held onto Helena, making sure that she didn't get hurt. "Helena, are you alright?" He asked his Fiancée, wanting to be sure with her.

"Yes, I'm fine Steven," Helena said, allowing the Steel blue-haired Champion to assist her back to the seat.

Brendan, who held onto the Metal handle on the Helicopter's haul. "What was that right now?" The young Pokemon trainer asked everyone,

N looks around, feeling the turbulence around them. He also senses a powerful aura nearby. "I have a feeling about what caused that turbulence." The green-haired trainer looks at Helena and Steven,

Steven noticed his Future Brother-in-Law's look, prompting him to put on the Headset to speak with the Pilot. "Pilot, what's happening out there?" The Hoenn Champion asked the Cockpit.

In the Helicopter's Cockpit, the Pilot struggled to keep them in the air. He heard the Heir of the Devon Corporation's question. "Sir, the Heat is affecting the instruments. I can still get us to-"

The Pilot stopped talking, seeing a sudden Storm appear around them. "Sir, we have a sudden Rainstorm appearing out of nowhere." He informed the Hoenn Champion.

The Helicopter tried to transverse through the Stormy Weather. "Sir, everyone strapped in; this will be a bumpy ride." The Pilot spoke, trying his best to pilot the transport.

Everyone strapped into their seats, holding onto the Handrail as they sway side to side. Helena swayed near the Window, her Emerald green eyes drew down below on the surface of the Ocean.

Her eyes widened at what she saw, "Oh…my…Arceus…" Outside of the Helicopter on the Ocean Surface was a large bipedal Lizard-like Pokemon, his red scales were emitting Heat. Between his armor plating was Magma flowing through the cracks.

Primal Groudon was walking through the Waters, tracking behind him were Volcanic Rocks. The linear line of new Landmass was still fresh, cracks of molten Magma could be seen flowing into the Ocean.

"Groudon's power," The black-haired Professor spoke, looking at the side effects of Groudon's awakening in his Primal Form. "He's creating new Land,"

Steven peers through the Window, seeing what Helena is seeing. "That's the Continent Pokemon for you. Legends say that in the very beginning when the World was filled with Oceans, Primal Groudon emerged from the depths of the Sea." The Champion said, remembering reading about a specific Event similar to the Event long, long ago.

"His power at that time created the Lands we came to know Today." Steven finished, turning to the cloudy and rainy Sky. "But it didn't say that the Sky was Raining. Did we miss it in the old Texts?" He asked,

N suddenly felt a new presence approaching from the left side. His eyes widened, realizing that something was coming, something similar to Groudon's presence. "Heads up everyone, something is coming from our side," The green-haired trainer informed the occupants.

Jackie turns to the former King of Team Plasma, "What do you mean, N?" The blonde Pokemon Ranger asked, curious about what the Ability User sensed.

Just when N was about to respond to the Ranger's question, the Pilot beat him to it. "Sir, there's a large object coming from the East side," The Pilot informed the Champion.

Steven heard what the Pilot said, prompting him and everyone to look out the Window.

Outside down at the Ocean, Groudon was making his way toward Sootoplis City. He halted, sensing a familiar presence rising from the deep, a presence of his Rival arriving.

Breaking through the Water's surface, a large blue Orca-like Pokemon with an Alpha Symbol on his fins surfaced. The Pokemon was Kyogre, the Sea Basin Pokemon the Rival of Groudon.

Kyogre opens his mouth, and a bright blue orb appears. He then released a powerful Blizzard toward the Fire/Ground-type.

Groudon roars, retaliating against the Attack from his Rival. The ground burst from the Ocean ground, acting as a shield against Kyogre's Attack.

Both Attacks collided, causing a chain reaction to occur. "Brace for impact!" The Pilot raised the Helicopter, trying his best to avoid the shockwave of two Legendary Pokemons' Attack.

However, they were a bit late in the timing. The shockwave caused the Helicopter to spiral out of control in the air,

"Hang on tight everyone, I'll try to stabilize ourselves." The Pilot said, trying to stabilize the Aircraft.

Brendan held the handrail tightly before saying, "W-What was that just now?" He asked, even though he's not in tune with Pokemon like Ability Users. However, the impact made by the two Legendary Pokemon was powerful enough that anyone could feel the power behind those Attacks. "It felt like two powerful Attacks collided with each other."

Soon another collision occurred, causing a mild shockwave in the area. Fortunately, the Pilot managed to retreat to a safe distance,

Outside the Helicopter, both Primal Groudon and Kyogre were engaged in a Battle... A Battle that was recorded since Ancient Times.

Kyogre leaps from the Ocean, as giant blue orbs appear around his Body. The Sea Basin Pokemon released his Origin Pulse towards his long-time Rival.

Primal Ground roars, using Lava Pump to retaliate against his Foe.

Attack after Attack, Special Moves after Special Moves the two Legendries' Power began to alter the Area around them.

Giant Stone Rocks pierced the Ocean Surface, and alongside it were chucks of Icebergs caused by Kyogre's Origin Pulse.

Many Pokemon who were caught in between the Battle all flee in Fear. Their voices echo through the air, reaching a Certain green-haired Ability User.

"That's exactly what is going on, Brenden," N said, standing from his chair and heading towards the door.

"N! WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" Helena exclaims, seeing her Brother standing in a dangerous situation.

"N, sit back down!" Jackie called for the former King of Team Plasma,

N held his Pokeball in his hand, opening the door as a gust of wind blasted its way inside. "I have to stop them from fighting, the Pokemon in the Area are in danger from these two's Battle." He said, reasoning with the group.

Helena saw her Brother looking down at where Primal Groudon and Kyogre were Battling. Without a second thought, N leaps from the Aircraft, causing Helena to get up from her own Seat.

The black-haired Woman stopped at the door, watching her Brother fall from at least a Hundred feet. "N!" Helena cried out to him as Jackie came to prevent her from falling.

"Helena don't, you might fall," Jackie said, looking for any Pokemon to help and save N.

N took his Pokeball in his hand, "My Friend, help me end this conflict!" The green-haired trainer tosses his Friend's Pokeball,

The Pokeball opened, releasing a familiar sight to Helena but a new one to Brendan, Steven, and Jackie. A white Dragon appeared from a bright light, roaring in the air. "Reshiram!" N called for his Partner, still falling in the air.

Reshiram heard his chosen trainer, diving down from the Sky to catch him. The Vast White Pokemon raced towards his Partner before catching him on his back,

N smiled, petting the Dragon/Fire on the side. "Thank you, my Friend. But we're not done here." He said to Reshiram, his eyes shifted to the Battle between Hoenn's two Legendary Pokemon. "We have to stop Groudon and Kyogre from fighting."

Reshiram's eyes shift back to N, disapproving of the plan. "Reshiram, what is it? You don't seem to be supportive of the idea." N asked, wondering why he refused to help.

The Dragon/Fire-type roared, explaining to the former King of Team Plasma what he didn't understand.

N's eyes widen, realizing they are seeing things differently than him. "I see, so that's what is going on." The green-haired trainer said, deciding to follow his Friend's advice. "Then lead the way, Reshiram." He said, letting the Duel-type lead the way.

Everyone gasps at what has just appeared before them. "I-Is that who I think it is!?" Jackie asked, seeing a new Legendary Pokemon making an appearance before them.

"N has a Legendary Pokemon on him!?" Brendan asked, shocked as the Pokemon Ranger. Never once he would expect he would have a Legendary Pokemon with him.

"Helena," Steven looks at his Fiancée, aware that his Future Brother-in-Law has one of Unova's Legendary Pokemon as a Partner/Friend. "Do you think N could stop the two from fighting?"

Helena looks at the Hoenn Champion, answering his question. "I believe N would do his best to ensure that both the Legendary Pokemon and everyone else are safe and unharmed." She said, trusting her Brother to do the right thing.

Jackie overheard what Helena said, his eyes turned to see some Pokemon fleeing from the Battle. His eyes then caught a large flying Manta-ray-like Pokemon leaping from the Ocean surface.

He took out his Capture Styler, seeing a Pokemon that could be helpful. "I'm going to help him," Jackie informed the group,

"Huh?"

Jackie looks back at everyone, with a confident smile plastered on his face. "Go to Sootoplis City, meet up with Wallace to formulate a plan to stop this." He said, leaping from the Helicopter.

"Jackie wait!" Steven and Helena called out to the Pokemon Ranger, already falling from the sky.

Helena sighed, seeing how reckless Jackie and N were. "Why is everyone being so reckless…"

"Leave them be, Ellie. For now, let's do our part." Steven said, pressing a button to communicate with the Pilot. "Take us to Sootoplis City so we can meet with Wallace."

"Yes Sir," The Pilot said, heading to the City within the Crater.

Jackie fell, aiming his Capture Styler at the Mantine. "Capture…" He pressed a button, releasing a spinning top at the Water/Flying-type Pokemon. "On!"

The top rushed over to Matine, circling around him. "Hup! Ha!" Jackie circles his Capture Stylar in a circle around the Pokemon before merging with him.

Mantine dove into the Water, Jackie was close to the Ocean's Surface until he leaped from the surface to catch him. "Good catch Mantine, let's go and stop this Battle." He said, which agreed.

They dove back into the Ocean, heading to the Battle between Primal Groudon and Kyogre.

Off at a distance, a black metallic Bird was flying towards the Sootoplis City. Riding her was a white-haired Boy and a Steel-blue haired Boy, "There it is…Sootoplis City," Aiden said,

"The place where Dad said Mom…never mind, let's just try and prevent that, Aiden," Casey said, not wanting to think about the outcome if they failed.

Aiden nodded, directing his Pokemon towards the City.
