Maroon
Chapter 3
He saw her a number of weeks later. The expression on his face softened. She was upset even though you couldn't tell unless you really knew her.
"I thought it worked out. Did something happen?" I asked. As i entered her home.
Brooke's face fell. "I was pregnant. I'm not anymore." She confessed. Tears falling from her eyes.
He wrapped her arms around him as she sobbed.
"I'm really sorry Brooke. I know you've wanted this and i know it'll happen for you when its supposed too." Lucas replied. When they eventually pulled apart.
"I told people i wanted to be pregnant and i did. But i tried adopting. I met with someone."
"I got denied. There is no point in me trying that again."
"And she wouldn't even tell why i'm not able too."
"She said i wasn't the kind of candidate they would want to approve for adoption. My name is out there."
"I can get pregnant again. But i don't think i want too."
"Maybe i was wrong. Maybe i wasn't meant to be a mother." Brooke confessed.
