I am pulling from a lot of Mythologies, in one aspect: the children overthrow the parents. In Norse mythology the Aesir defeat the Jotun. In Greek/Roman the Titans overthrow the Primordials, so did the Gods overthrow the Titans. I am setting the PtB as Primordials/Elder Gods who escaped/hid and are looking to create/assemble their own Realm.
