Chapter 12
Author Note: Hey everyone I'm back with another chapter for you all to enjoy. Not much else to say at the moment other than be sure to Favorite, Follow, and Review.
10/18/24 So I binged Season 2 of Jurassic World Chaos Theory yesterday and holy hell was it good. INSANELY tense moments, Some really great character development for a few of the characters, big reveals, Majunga was a BEAST! And HOLY SHIT! Atrociraptors might have just usurped OG Velociraptors as most TERRIFYING dinosaurs. I mean what one of them did in the Season was so mind blowingly terrifying it literally gave me goosebumps.
I honestly can't wait for Season 3 of the show and can't wait to start covering the events of the show in this story. It's something I am honestly putting a lot of thought into planning out.
(Darius and Sammy)
Having successfully acted out what they were trying to convey to the others regarding Mitch and Tiff the two teens were still standing by the speaker. Darius gained a somber look on his face as he came to a realization "I know what I have to do" he mutters to himself.
Hearing the remark Sammy is initially confused by it before she understands what he means and thus gains a frown "Absolutely not!" she nearly yells in objection to what the dino loving teen was thinking. "You're going to get yourself killed if you go it alone" she adds in protest.
"I have to Sammy, this is all my fault!" Darius counters with a determined look on his face.
The remark stuns Sammy "What are you talking about?" she asks in confusion not understanding what he meant.
Darius sighs for a moment at this "The only reason Mitch and Tiff even know about the watering hole, is because I told them about it. I'm the one who was most adamant about not listening to Brooklynn and her suspicions about them. A suspicion that was shared by Naruto the LEADER of our group." he rants listing off all of his screwups over the last day. "The dinosaurs are in danger because of me, and I have to make things right. I HAVE to do this alone…I failed to save Ben, and I won't put the rest of you in danger fixing my mistake" Darius adds passionately baring his real feelings regarding everything that had happened.
Hearing the teen vent Sammy's eyes widened before they softened "Darius.." she says softly to him "What happened to Ben wasn't your fault. That entire situation was total chaos, and happened so fast. Naruto got snatched away, the rest of us froze. The only reason Ben almost made it was because YOU acted. YOU grabbed his hand and held onto him despite nearly being pulled out of the monorail yourself. YOU nearly saved him by yourself had it not been for that Pteranodon knocking him out of your grip. Darius YOU didn't fail to save Ben, we ALL did" she says to the teen pulling him into a hug.
The boy's eyes widen at hearing this before they begin to water slightly as he returns the hug for a moment. However he soon lets go of Sammy and shakes his head "Mitch said the boat is at the Northwest Dock, regroup with the others and get off the island" Darius states with a stern look on his face.
"What about you?" Sammy asks, grabbing Darius by the arm to prevent him from running off. Darius doesn't say anything in response but him being unable to meet her gaze is more than enough of an answer for her.
However before either could say anything else there was a sound of radio feedback static causing them to look up at the hidden speaker "Yeah that's not happening" Naruto is heard saying from the speaker. The blonde putting his foot down so to speak on Darius's plan.
"Yeah we got your back Darius! Forget the boat, we're taking Mitch and Tiff down!" a new yet familiar voice says causing their eyes to widen in disbelief.
"BEN!" Sammy and Darius yell at the same time completely shocked that the boy was alive and with the others.
"...Oh right you guys didn't know I was alive. Also we found the sound button a while back and heard your whole conversation…Bumpy says hi…Oh and I defeated Toro" Ben says casually as the sound of Bumpy bellowing in the background was heard. However after several moments of watching Darius and Sammy just standing there frozen with their mouths hanging open in shock and disbelief he raises an eyebrow "I think I broke them" he adds before being shoved outta the way.
"Yes, Ben's alive and we're all super happy about it" Yaz remarks into the intercom before Brooklynn squeezes in next to her.
"Point is you're not doing this alone Dino-nerd" the pink haired girl remarks with a stern look on her face.
Hearing this Darius shakes his head "But you guys could get to the boat and save yourselves!" Darius shouts at the speaker not understanding why they were insisting on helping him instead of escaping.
"You don't get it Darius" Naruto remarks looking at the screen with his arms crossed over his chest "We're a team, alone we are weak, vulnerable, and deadmeat. But working together we can overcome anything this island throws at us…Shut it Kenji" the blonde begins to say before giving Kenji a pointed glare out the corner of his eye as he sees him open his mouth to say something. "Besides I'M the Leader of this team, Darius. That means I'M responsible for all of you. The only way we are leaving this island is together, and the only exception to this is if one of us bites the bullet. Even then the others will do their damn best to make sure that person's body makes it back so their family has something to bury." Naruto continues laying out how things are to Darius. "That being said these dinosaurs are my father's legacy and I will be dead and buried before I let a pair of assholes like Mitch and Tiff galavant about killing them off like it's duck season or something" the blonde adds in a grim tone as his eyes narrow and fists clench in anger.
"...Rabbit season" Kenji mutters under a cough.
"Not the time Kenji!" Yaz snaps at the asian teen though her retort would be more impactful were it not for the slight twitching of the corner of her mouth, and the accompanying snort of amusement from Brooklynn.
"...I don't get it?" Ben asks in confusion, figuring out it was a reference to something but not knowing what.
"...Okay so the first thing after we get off the island is introducing Ben to Loony Tunes" Sammy is heard saying over the speaker before letting out a cheer "Now I assume that it's dino-saving time! Camp fam for life!" the girl excitedly yells.
The response got a chuckle from Naruto while Yaz rolled her eyes with a slight smirk on her face "So now that we've established lifelong camp family status, how do we stop Mitch and Tiff?" she asks as they still hadn't come up with a plan on how to do that.
"Feed both of them to the Mosasaurus!" Ben yells with a grin on his face raising a few eyebrows. Seeing the response to his suggestion the teen just rubs the back of his neck sheepishly "It just really feels like we're not getting our full use out of the Mosasaurus guys" he adds.
"Ben, not going to lie…I love the enthusiasm and idea. It's just not practical though" Naruto remarks as he had to admit if there was anyone that deserved to be fed to Mona it would be Mitch and Tiff. "However we know Mitch and Tiff are heading to the watering hole to kill the dinosaurs. Therefore all we need to do is make sure there aren't any dinosaurs there for them to kill, and then find a way to subdue Mitch and Tiff" the blonde says laying out the foundation of their plan.
"Looks like it's time for us to do what we do best!" Darius remarks with a wide grin on his face.
"Cause Chaos?" Kenji remarks on the dino loving teen's remark.
"Get stuck in the middle of a lot of angry dinosaurs?" Yaz says with her own question to Darius's outburst.
"Defeat Toro again!?" Ben asks with an almost hopeful sounding tone in his voice.
"Run for our lives from an angry and or hungry dinosaur?"Brooklynn asks with a slight smirk on her face.
"...Do something that results in me getting a massive headache?" Naruto is heard saying with an audible sigh accompanying it.
The barrage of remarks causes Darius to gain a sheepish look on his face especially in regards to the last remark from Naruto. "Um yeah?" he remarks sounding unsure "Except for two through four?" Darius adds nervously.
Hearing this Naruto just sighs again "Alright so here's the plan. Brooklynn you stay here and be our eyes and ears. Fnd Mitch and Tiff on the cameras and lock in on them" he says to the pink haired girl getting a nod from her. "Ben and Yaz, there should be a motor pool nearby, find something big and loud before heading to the watering hole" Naruto adds, getting a nod from the two as well. "Kenji take the motorcycle you and Brooklynn rode in on and pick up Darius and Sammy before regrouping with Ben and Yaz" the blonde says, causing Kenji to pale a bit at having to drive the motorcycle.
"Wait, what are you going to be doing then?" Yaz asks Naruto as the blonde hadn't mentioned what role he would be playing in the plan. A fact that given his history of behavior greatly unsettled the girl.
"I am going to be go after Plan B" Naruto answers cryptically "It's a long shot but should it work then it will not only even the playing field so to speak but also give us a big advantage over Mitch and Tiff" he adds just as mysteriously trying to ease the worries of the girl. "Alright let's get going, and good luck" the blonde adds, getting nods from the others before he runs out of the room towards the motorcycle he and Yaz rode, with the others setting out to do their tasks as well.
After the others left Brooklynn sat herself down in the computer chair at the control console and went about looking overall at the buttons and switches. Cycling through the cameras she found one showing the watering hole and pulled up a large map of the island on one of the many screens. Pushing some keys she made a dot appear on the map in said location and labeled the camera associated with it "Watering Hole". Following that she managed to locate Kenji on the cameras as he ran back to the motorcycle and clumsily began driving it outta the tunnels. With some trial and error she managed to sync the camera's to activate when he appeared in their field of view while also creating a dot on the map with his name on it. Staring at her work for a moment she nodded upon seeing the "Kenji" dot moving on the map showing that motion tracking was working.
Switching through the feeds again she found Ben, Yaz, and Bumpy just as they reached the motor pool garage and busted in via Bumpy slamming the door down. The girl shook her head in amusement as she watched Yaz hop into one of the six-wheeled trucks that park workers used only to get a slight jumpscare from Ben appearing at the window with two flashlights making a funny face. Repeating what she had done with Kenji, Brooklynn made a dot appear on the map labeling it "Ben and Yaz". Scrolling through the camera feeds once more she came across Sammy and Darius walking down one of the dirt roads that criss crossed the jungle.
(Sammy and Darius)
The two teens turned to look behind them when they heard the sound of a motorcycle engine accompanied by the panicked yelping of Kenji. Sharing a deadpan look they watched as the asian teen tilted side to side, popped a wheelie, and nearly fell over as he haphazardly drove the motorcycle. Somehow despite all this managed to come to a stop mere inches from the two before giving them a confident grin "Someone call for a Kenji Cab?" he asked, trying to sound confident. In response to this Sammy and Darius shared a nervous look between them before they maneuvered themselves onto the bike with him.

Seeing that Darius and Sammy had linked up with Kenji, the pink haired girl modified the label on the dot assigned to him by adding their names to it. After this she began scrolling through the various camera feeds before she came across Mitch and Tiff stalking through the jungle. "I see you" the girl mumbled to herself with a grin as she created another dot on the map before assigning their names to it. Resuming her scrolling through the camera feeds she narrowed her eyes a bit "Where did you go Naruto?" she mutters to herself not picking him up on any of the camera feeds so far.
(Naruto)
The blonde whizzed through the trees of the jungle swerving in and out of them as he rode his motorcycle. Having exited the tunnels several minutes ago he was taking a bit longer of a route to his would think he would choose the fastest route but instead Naruto had chosen a longer route on purpose so as to potentially avoid as many of the hidden cameras scattered about as possible. 'Can't have the others worried about me when they need to focus on their tasks' was the thought running through his mind as he swerved around a tree and skidded to a stop as his destination was in sight.
Looking out at the unmistakable building that was the Innovation Center on Main Street the blonde took a deep breath and steeled his nerves "Here goes nothing" he muttered to himself hoping his plan worked. Slowly exiting the jungle the blonde drove the motorcycle onto Main Street noting how Rexy was no longer having her stand off with the hologram. As he slowly rolled the bike to a stop and popped its kickstand Naruto stared down the alley that led to the entrance of 'Paddock 9'.
Climbing off the bike the blonde stood tall staring down the darkened alleyway and began to take a long deep inhale. As he filled his lungs to the maximum with air, his chest puffing out as a result, he clenched his fists tightly. With a sudden motion Naruto threw his body forward and let out a massive roar that echoed far and wide. Though unlike the roar or yell of a person this one sounded more primal, almost…rex-like. The veins in his neck bulged, his eyes were wide, and the roar continued to erupt from his throat. For a good thirty seconds he continued before the roar ceased and he began to pant heavily. Silence being only interrupted by the deep breathing of the blonde permeated Main Street once more before the sound of a thundering footstep was heard. The footstep was soon joined by another, and another, growing ever louder with each as Rexy lumbered out of her paddock and down the alley before entering Main Street.
Standing tall Naruto stared the mighty carnivore directly in the eye as she lumbered over directly in front of him. His hair blew back and forth as her hot breath washed over him as her nostrils flared taking in his scent. He saw how her eyes stared directly at him and not anywhere else "I always had a feeling your vision wasn't based on movement" the blonde muttered as the carnivore's snout grew closer to him. Slowly Naruto moved his right hand up and gently held it out in front of Rexy's nostrils "I don't know if you can understand me. But I feel like there is some connection between us. Twice now you have had me dead to rights yet you didn't eat me. So I am really hoping my hunch is correct" he says calmly to the dinosaur that just stares at him and the outstretched appendage as she continues to take in his scent. "That being said, the ones who hurt you earlier need to be stopped…so will you help me?" Naruto asks standing his ground as he sees Rexy pull her head back and stand to her full height. The dinosaur's pupils shrink to slits and the blonde can't help but think "...Shit".
(The Jungle)
In a small clearing surrounded by trees the Baryonyx trio of Chaos, Limbo, and Grim were curled up in a pile sleeping peacefully. However that peace and quiet was broken by the distant sound of a woman complaining "You should have listened to me. I told you those kids would be a problem" Tiff is heard saying off the distance as she and Mitch trekked through the jungle.
"And I told you I had a plan!" Mitch was heard yelling back at her. Though the man was unaware that his shout had woken Grim from her slumber. Perking up at the noise, Grim turned her attention to the direction of the noise.
"Oh which went so perfectly, as we're currently safe at home with our trophies, and not traipsing through the jungle in the middle of the night!" Tiffany shouts back at her husband as they walk along a dirt path through the jungle. The woman looks around at her surroundings sarcastically for a moment "Oh wait! We ARE traipsing through the jungle! Face it Mitchell your plan was oh what's the word…IMBECILIC!" she shouts at the man who scowls hearing this. Looking up from the tablet in his hand and the map it displayed Mitch gives his wife a harsh glare. Ignoring the man's look Tiff continued on "If we had gone back to Kenya like I suggested in the first place-" she started to say.
"Give it a rest Tiffany!" Mitch yells cutting her off as he scowls. "If I hear you say fucking Kenya one more time…" he adds threateningly though leaving his actions up to her imagination.
Hearing the threat Tiff scowls right back at her husband though immediately upon him turning his back to her she begins to yell "Kenya! Kenya! Kenya! Kenya! Kenya! Kenya!" rather childishly at him as if daring him to react.
Hearing this Mitch just grits his teeth in frustration "Why couldn't the T-Rex have eaten her?...Though to be fair I imagine even the Rex would find her unappealing as a meal" the man thinks to himself lamenting how he was unfortunate enough that his wife had survived their close call with the top carnivore of the island. Taking a deep breath to calm himself as he banished those thoughts Mitch turned to look at his wife "Look, we're already halfway to the watering hole. You will feel a lot better once you get the chance to shoot something…" he says before they continue walking. However after a moment they are forced to stop and he stares in slight disbelief at what is before them "Are you kidding me!? Everything on the island is a wreck and we come across the ONLY intact fence and it's blocking ourpath!?" he yells at the large fence blocking their path. Taking a breath to calm himself Mitch notices Tiffany walking towards the fence "What are doing?" he asks her.
"Ugh! What does it look like Mitchell!? It's a fence not a wall, I am going through it" Tiff remarks as she approaches the fence before turning to look at him "I didn't get dragged to the world's tackiest abandoned resort for nothing, and I'm not returning empty-" the woman begins to say as she reaches out to touch the fence before letting out a yelp as she is sending flying back a good ten-feet via the fence's electrical shock.
Seeing his wife roll onto her back and let out an annoyed huff Mitch can't help but chuckle before the sound of microphone feedback is heard "What's good Isla Nublar!?" Brooklynn's voice is heard saying over a nearby speaker causing the two hunters to look at it. "Tonight we got a very special, very shocking, 'Brooklynn Unboxes Live!' going out to our favorite psychopathic poaching pair Mitch and Tiff, Kapow!" the teen girl is heard saying over the speaker.
After Brooklynn finishes her speech a woman's voice replaces her over the speaker "And we've electrified the fences of bigger dinosaurs, because safety is our number one priority here at Jurassic World" the pre-recorded message says informing the hunters of what they already had figured out regarding the fence. After the recording ends Brooklynn giggles before turning off the mic.
"I…HATE…CHILDREN!" Tiff whisper yells at Mitch as she gets to her feet. The woman was sporting some minor electrical burning on her hands, and her hair was noticeably…frazzled, as a result of her 'shocking' ordeal.
Mitch is quiet for a moment before sighing "Botswana,the Amazon, Siberia…" he says listing off several places they have been to. "We have hunted Tigers, Hippos, snow leopards, and countless other predators and big game…Yet none of them have given us the trouble those six kids have" he admits at their constant failures so far.
"Hey we're not beat yet babe" Tiffany remarks in an odd show of support to the man she was married to. "We are getting that T-Rex head for your man cave, as well as the heads of EVERY dinosaur we have ever wanted" she says confidently, convinced that they would succeed in their hunt like that had every other time in the past.
Hearing his wife's words Mitch couldn't help but think "Maybe that shock, 'shocked' the bitchiness outta her". However his thoughts were interrupted by the shrill shriek of a dinosaur. Turning in the direction of the shriek his eyes widened slightly as Grim came charging out of the jungle at the married couple. In a quick motion Tiff pulled up her rifle and took aim at the predator before a single gunshot rang out in the silence of the jungle.
As the sound faded Mitch stared with a gaping jaw as Grim lay before the two, dead from a single well placed shot to the head. "Ah oh! You were right, I do feel better. Wish I had a cigarette though as that was better than sex" Tiff remarks with a almost orgasmic sounding moan causing Mitch to look at her with a deadpan look "Oh don't give me that look we both know it's true and why I need that 'Special' item in the nightstand" she remarks condescendingly at her husband "Now come on, we pick it up on our way back" she adds before walking off.
Mitch looks at her walking away before giving the dead Baryonyx a quick look. The sight of the deceased predator reinvigorating his confidence that they would be successful "Right after the watering hole" he remarks before following after her.
However the two hunters were unaware that a while after they left the dead body of Grim where she lay, that Limbo and Chaos came upon the scene. The two Baryonyx had been woken up by the gunshot and upon seeing their packmate missing had begun following her scent. Coming up upon their dead packmate Limbo and Chaos let out a series of somber sounding shrieks as they nudged Grim's body. Seeing their packmate motionless and dead the two let out a pain filled sounding shriek before they began sniffing around. Picking up on two scents that were in the area around their dead packmate Chaos and Limbo let out a roar of rage as they began following them in pursuit of whatever killed Grim.
(Kenji, Darius, Sammy)
The trio atop the motorcycle were slowly making their way through the jungle mainly due to Kenji's poor driving skills. The teen was shakily holding onto the handlebars of the bike causing the front tire to wiggle back and forth occasionally, while also haphazardly pulling on the throttle resultign in jolts forward. All the while he was muttering under his breath a mantra of "Brake then turn, Brake then turn, the clutch is by my hand" remembering what Hap had told him and Brooklynn during their escape earlier.
"Can't you go any faster!" Darius asks, annoyed by how slow the trio were going. If he was being honest with himself it would honestly have been faster to run at this rate.
"Not unless you want to fall!" Keni shouts back at the teen sandwiched between himself and Sammy."I'm balancing three people on this thing on top of having very little idea how to actually drive it!" he adds before the trio nearly crash into a rock and tree.
"Just keep going!" Sammy calls out in encouragement to Kenji getting a nod before he pulls back a bit more on the throttle causing the trio to speed up a bit.
(Brooklynn)
Flipping through the camera feeds once more Brooklynn cycles back to Mitch and Tiff just in time to see them come to another section of the fence "Map says the fastest way is through" Mitch is heard saying over the control room speakers as he looks at the tablet.
Looking around Tiffany spots an electrical box on the side of the fence "Open Sesame" the woman is heard remarking as she shoots the box with her gun causing it to short out and thus disabling the electric element of the fence. As the two hunters make to start climbing over the fence Tiff spots the camera watching them and proceeds to smash it with the butt of her gun causing the screen to turn to static.
"Crap" Brooklynn mutters seeing this before also seeing the dot labeled "Mitch and Tiff"on the map disappear. "No no no, it must have caused an error loop or something" the girl says a loud trying to pull up any other nearby cameras to spot the two hunters. However none of the other cameras in the vicinity were responding.
Acting fast she located Kenji, Darius, and Sammy before activating one of the speakers a short ways ahead of them "Guys!" she calls out into the microphone noticing how she startled the trio as they came to a jerky stop. "Sorry but Mitch and Tiff are about to get to the watering hole, Ben and Yaz aren't there yet, and I have no idea where Naruto is!" the girl says updating the trio on the current situation.
"How far away is the nearest tunnel to them?" Darius is heard asking as he quickly thinks of an idea.
Hearing the remark Brooklynn raises an eyebrow in confusion before scrolling through the map looking for the nearest tunnel "Uh…it looks like if you go back the way you came several hundred feet it looks like there is a tunnel that would put you out in front of their projected arrival point" she says relaying what she found before noticing Darius get off the motorcycle.
"Kenji, Sammy, you guys keep going to the watering hole and meet up with Ben and Yaz like planned." Darius says moving a bit away from the bike and taking off his helmet. "You will move faster and the bike should be easier to control with just the two of you. Meanwhile I will slow Mitch and Tiff down." the teen remarks explaining the rest of his idea.
Hearing this Kenji nods "Good luck Dino-nerd" he says to Darius before driving away with Sammy giving Darius a thumbs up as well.
With Sammy and Kenji on their way to meet up with the others Darius begins running back towards the tunnel entrance Brooklynn told him about all the while said girl watches him on the cameras. After a bit of running he reaches the hidden entrance to the tunnel and seeing this Brooklynn keys the microphone "Alright Darius, what's the plan?" she asks, wondering what his actual plan was in regards to stalling the hunters. However all she gets as a response is silence causing her eyes to narrow "Darius answer me" she says yelling a bit to get his attention and watching as he opens the entrance before stopping. Brooklynn's eyes widen a bit as she realizes something "You don't have a plan do you?" she questions the teen.
For a moment Darius just kneels at the entrance to the tunnel before looking over his shoulder at the camera watching him "Once this is done regroup with the others and get to Mitch and Tiff's boat" he says, shocking her.
"Did you not even listen to what Naruto said? Why are you trying to do this alone!?" Brooklynn snapped at the teen only to watch as he jumped down the tunnel entrance. Letting out a yell of frustration the pink haired girl slammed her hands on the control console "You noble cute idiot why are you acting this way!?" the girl yelled to herself unaware of just what she said due to her frazzled state. "Dammit there has to be a way to help!" she yells to herself as she begins rapidly pressing buttons as the camera feeds rapidly switch, showing everything from their base at camp, the lagoon, Chaos and Limbo running through the jungle, Rexy running out of frame off of Main Street, a door in one of the underground tunnels labeled 'E750', and one of the fences in the jungle.
However it was the second to last image that caught the eye of the girl having just barely spotted it out of the corner of said eye. Flipping back a feed Brooklynn gained wide eyed look "E750" she whispers to herself at finally discovering something regarding the big mystery that had been plaguing her the last few weeks. However upon noticing the screen next to said camera feed she let out a gasp as it showed a nearby storage garage inside of which was a gyrosphere. Her choice was made on what to do next. The girl ran out of the control room as fast as she could.
(Watering Hole)
As the dark night sky began to slowly brighten from the rays of the sun peaking over the horizon a multitude of dinosaurs inhabited the area surrounding the watering hole. Everything from Brachiosaurus, Stegosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Triceratops, Ankylosaurus, Nasutoceratops, and Sinoceratops lounged around the watering hole grazing or drinking.
All the while they were completely oblivious to Mitch and Tiff emerging from the jungle on a hill overlooking the watering hole. The two had smug grins on their faces as they stare out at the dinosaurs "Babe gimme the gun, I want first shot" Mitch says to his wife before she hands him the weapon. Taking a kneeling stance he looks down the scope of the rifle and aims at the various dinosaurs trying to decide which to hunt first. However as the man scanned the area his eyes widened a bit as he spotted a certain dinosaur in particular slink out cautiously from beside a Sinoceratops before it began drinking from the water. "A Velociraptor…perfect" Mitch whispers to himself with an excited grin on his face at the prospect of bagging one of the deadly carnivores. The man, unaware of the fact that said Velociraptor was in fact Blue and the ONLY velociraptor left alive on the island. Though if anything the latter bit of info would have only excited him even more at the prospect of being able to hunt such a creature.
Taking aim at Blue's head, Mich hyper focused on his hunt and slowly brought his trigger finger to the trigger of the rifle. Though just as the man was about to squeeze the trigger and secure his kill a shout of "Hey Guys!" startled him, breaking his concentration. Looking away from the scope Mitch looked in shock as right before him and Tiff, Darius emerged from a secret hatch covered in grass in the ground.
"What the fuck?" Mitch so eloquently remarked at the site.
"Secret tunnel, they run basically the whole length of the island, a nightmare to navigate though" Darius remarks with an uncaring shrug figuring that was what the man's outburst was in regards to. "So how's the vacation shaping up so far?" the teen jokes with a grin.
"Ugh!" Tiff groans out at the sight of Darius alive "I assumed the T-Rex would have eaten you, but I guess she has taste" the woman remarked, voicing her displeasure at seeing the teen.
"I mean she didn't eat YOU so I guess that could be true?" Darius counters with a raised eyebrow and lopsided smirk that only served to annoy Tiffany even more.
Mitch had to bite the inside of his cheek to stop the chuckle that almost escaped as a result of Darius's insult. However the man quickly schooled his features "Get out of the way, D. Be smart about all this, the rest of your friends are dead weight, but YOU can still get outta here" he says trying to convince the teen to do the 'Smart' thing.
"Nah, I'm gonna stop you, and they are going to get off this island, whatever it takes" Darius states defiantly to the pair of poachers. The teen was dead set on preventing the two from killing dinosaurs and making sure his friends got off the island safely to atone for his mistakes.
"Oh really?" Tiff remarks with an amused yet skeptical look on her face. The two poachers start to take a step towards Darius when the sound of an electrical engine catches their attention. "Whats-Ugh!" She begins to say moments before her and Mitch are sent flying back and knocking them to the ground as a result of a gyrosphere slamming into them.
Darius just stares with a gobsmacked look on his face for a moment as he sees the side of the gyrosphere start to open and Brooklynn climbing out of it "Nice driving" he compliments the girl as she exits the ride.
"WHAT THE HECK WERE YOU DOING!?" Was the yelling response he got from said girl as she walked over to him. To his credit Darius stood his ground in the face of the angered pinkette, though he did visibly flinch at her words "I thought we were a team!" Brooklynn added as she stopped in front of him and angrily crossed her arms over her chest.
"I wouldn't put you guys in more danger as a result of my mistakes!" Darius counters in defense of his recklessness.
"This isn't your fault Darius!" Brooklynn counters back to his counter "Mitch and Tiff would have eventually found the watering hole regardless of whether or not you told them about it. The only thing your guilty of is doing your best in helping Naruto keep us all alive, and I'm sorry about what I said earlier" she adds putting her hands on his shoulders while sincerely admitting her out of line remark back at Mitch and Tiff's camp.
Darius can't meet Brooklynn in the eye as she does this and looks away missing something very important as a result "No you were right in being suspicious about them, and I let myself be blinded by Mitch's love of dinosaurs" the teen remarks admitting his own fault in how things went earlier.
Before either of them could continue the shout of "HEY!" alerted them to a rather important element of the situation that they had forgotten about in their moment. Notably how Mitch and Tiff had gotten back to their feet "Next time you two wanna have a sappy heart to heart moment, maybe check to make sure your adversaries are incapacitated, and I don't know make sure they can't get ahold of their weapon!" Tiff remarks to the two as she holds the rifle in the air to showcase said point.
The eyes of both teens widen a bit; as they hear the sound of music off in the distance, the sound of which is growing ever louder. Hearing this makes the two feel more confident as they narrow their eyes at the adults "We're armed to, with friendship" Darius says passionately and thus getting a deadpan look from Mitch and Tiff while Brooklynn just slumps her head and sighs.
"We are so not armed with that" Brooklynn mutters in embarrassment at what Darius just said. It honestly boggled her mind that he just said such a lame thing.
"No, it's like a cool-guy thing to say" Darius says to her trying to explain the meaning behind what he said.
"Dude is so totally isn't." Brooklynn counters with a half-lidded stare at Darius.
"Agree to disagree?" Darius suggests with an embarrassed look on his face. As the sound music got even louder and was joined by the sound of a horn honking. Looking in the direction of said noises with shocked looks Mitch and Tiff see two columns of light moving side to side as they neared the crest of a hill.
Seeing this Brooklynn just rolls her eyes in amusement with a snort of laughter before the two look back at Mitch and Tiff "Anyway what my cornball friend he is trying to say is that you may be armed. But there are seven of us, two of you, and most importantly…" she begins to say with a grin on her face that Darius matches. "We were just stalling" the two teens say together right before a loud cheering sound is heard.
(Sammy, Keni, Ben, Yaz)
Said cheering was from Sammy as she and Kenji on the motorcycle crested the hill leading to the watering hole catching some air in the process, while behind them Yaz followed suit driving the six-wheeled truck, with Ben atop bumpy following close behind her.
As the four teens, and one dinosaur approached the watering hole Yaz repeatedly honked the truck's horn. The teen girl had a wide grin on her face as she watched Kenji and Sammy swerve in front of her with the cowgirl holding the cassette player with Dave's mixtape in it in one hand while she held onto Keni with the other. Looking in the rear-view mirror she saw Ben with a wide grin on his face and two flashlights in hand waving about as he rode atop Bumpy.
Turning her attention back in front of her, Yaz laughed as she saw the various dinosaurs surrounding the watering hole startle before beginning to run away. "Oh yeah bye dinosaurs!" she cheered out as the campers continued to 'herd' the dinosaurs further and further away from the watering hole.
(Darius, Brooklynn, Mitch, and Tiff)
The two hunters looked on at the fleeing dinosaurs and campers herding them away, with matching scowls of fury. Noticing this Brooklynn and Darius chose that moment to sneak away and quietly slipped into the gyrosphere and closed the doors before starting it up. The sound of which alerted Mitch and Tiff to their attempt causing them to turn around just in time to see the two teens drive off. But not before Brooklynn gave them the middle finger with a smirk on her face "Later losers!" she remarks with a laugh as Tiff lets out a yell of frustration. The two hunters then begin running after the fleeing kids.
"Was that really necessary?" Darius asks Brooklynn as they flee.
"Nope, but it felt REALLY good!" was the response he got from the pink haired girl causing him to shake his head, though the small grin he had showed it was in amusement.
(Sammy, Kenji, Ben, Yaz)
As the group continued herding the dinosaurs further away from the danger that was Mitch and Tiff, Ben lets out a cheer from atop Bumpy "Oh yeah keep it moving!" was his yell. The ankylosaur let out a loud bellow of her own seemingly mirroring the shout of the boy as she ran alongside a pair of Stegosaurus near the back of the herd.
Ben then noticed Kenji and Sammy further up ahead on his right driving alongside the middle section of the herd "We got this y'all!" Sammy cheers with a wide happy grin as Kenji lets out his own cheer accompanying it.
"Keep it moving people!" Kenji yells out as he maneuvers the bike a bit into the herd swerving around a troo of full grown Ankylosaurus.
After going a bit farther the campers began to slow down and fall back to behind the herd watching them run further and further away from the watering hole, and to the safety of the jungle. As the dinosaurs began to crest over the hill right before the edge of the treeline was when the campers came to a stop. Sammy climbed off the back of the motorcycle and let out a cheer that was echoed by Ben. Kenji, seeing this, let out a sigh of relief as he slumped over the handlebars a bit. The teen was eagerly looking forward to a long nap after the combination of all the excitement, and having to stay awake all through the night given how the sun was starting to rise fully.
From her spot in the driver's seat of the truck Yaz shut the vehicle off before letting out a chuckle at their planning having worked so well. The girl leans into the comfortable seat letting out a sigh of relief. Though part of her was also worried at where Naruto was given he had yet to show up since the groups split. However the brief moment of relaxation was broken by the sound of rumbling that was growing ever louder with each passing second. Looking out the front window of the truck at the hill Yaz's eyes widened in fear as the herd of dinosaurs had not only turned around…but were stampeding right towards the campers. In addition to that she could see the lone bright beam of light from a headlight waving about in the air from the back of the herd.
Sammy looked at the sight in confusion more than fear as she was mainly wondering why the herd had turned around. She could clearly see the light from the headlight as well meaning it was likely that Naruto had arrived and was driving the herd from behind. But given her experience on the ranch with herding that alone shouldn't have been enough to turn the herd around. However the sudden loud and all too familiar roar of a certain dinosaur sent a shiver down her spine in realization.
Even within the truck the roar was heard as clear as day and it sent a shiver down Yaz's spine as well. The girl watched as in the back of the herd Naruto came rocketing over the hill on his motorcycle catching nearly eight-feet of air off the hill. In the blonde's left hand held high was a lit red flare burning brightly, and he looked like he was speeding along as if all the horrors of hell were chasing after him. A scenario that might have proven less dangerous for Naruto as instead of said horrors it was none other than Rexy chasing after him hot on his tail as she ran as fast as she could.
All the color drained from Yaz's face as the sight and pit of terror formed in her stomach "We really need to start coordinating our plans better" she whispered in fear as she watched not only the stampede get closer but also Naruto with Rexy right behind him.
"We really need to get outta here!" Ben yells from atop Bumpy snapping the others out of their stupor. Kenji, seemingly forgetting he was Sammy's ride, takes off on the motorcycle leaving her to hop on Bumpy, seating herself behind Ben before the ankylosaurus starts running away.
Meanwhile inside the truck Yaz is desperately trying to restart the vehicle to no avail "C'mon,c'mon already" she frantically says to herself as she continues to turn the key. But instead of the ideal sound of the engine roaring to life it merely sputters. Despite this she continued to try and start the means to her escape, unaware that she had flooded the engine thus making starting it anytime soon impossible.
As luck would have it, Sammy, not hearing the truck roar to life, looked over her shoulder to see Yaz trying to start said vehicle "Ben! Yaz needs help!" the girl calls out alerting him to the situation and getting him to turn Bumpy around in order to rescue the girl. Inside the truck Yaz was growing more and more nervous as she saw the herd getting ever closer to her. She could also see Naruto near the back of it, still being chased by Rexy. The girl knew that even if the blonde managed to make it through the herd and to her, there wouldn't be enough time for her to hop on the motorcycle before either the herd, or Rexy reached them. As a pit of despair formed in her stomach at the hopelessness of her situation the girl caught the reflection of lights in the side view mirror and spotted Bumpy running towards her.
Acting fast Yaz unbuckled her seatbelt and opened the driver's side door before leaping out of the vehicle and a top of Bumpy. She nearly slipped off the ankylosaurus armored back were it not for Sammy catching her and helping her get seated just as Bumpy began to turn around. The impromptu rescue had been just in the nick of time as mere moments after Bumpy started to turn around a Sinoceratops slammed into the front of the truck flipping it end over end as the stampeding her arrived. However the trio atop Bumpy were still outta harm's way yet as they now found themselves in the midst of the stampede with Bumpy doing her best to avoid bumping into the other dinosaurs.
"Where's Naruto! Anyone see him!?" Yaz asks scanning the herd for any sign of the blonde that was being chased by the tyrannosaurus.
Looking about the herd herself Sammy was able to spot a flash of blonde near the back as well as the red of the flare "THERE HE IS!" she yells out pointing in the direction before her eyes widened "AND SO IS REXY!" the girl added with a horrified look as the carnivore was still right behind the blonde.
"What do we do?" Ben asks not looking back and focusing on helping guide Bumpy through the chaos that was the stampede.
Yaz clenched her fists in helplessness at the situation. The answer to the question was obvious as there was really only one thing they could do. But it was something that she hated to do, something that left an emptiness in her stomach, something that left a hole…in her heart. The latter of which caused her eyes to widen a bit in realization before they narrowed in determination. "We get to safety…and hope that Naruto is able to do the same." she says her words causing Sammy to look back at her with a wide eyed look. "It's what he would want us to do" Yaz says almost robotically, the words almost tasting like poison in her mouth as she says them. There was no response from Sammy or Ben after she said this and the trio focused on getting to safety all the while their blonde friend could do the same.
(Naruto)
The blonde ducked his head under the swishing tail of a terrified parasaurolophus, before swerving around a lumbering Ankylosaurus as he entered the back of the herd. All the while Rexy was in close pursuit of him. "Gotta hand it to the old girl, she can still keep up" Naruto thinks to himself impressed by how despite being nearly 30 years old if the rumors of when she was born were to be believed, the aged T-rex was still just as fast if not faster than her speculated speed back in the old park. Looking down at the speedometer on the bike for a split second the blonde chuckled "Oh yeah definitely over 32mph" he mused to himself given how he was currently pushing 45 mph and she was keeping pace with him.
Naruto let out a curse as he quickly had to swerve around the stumbling form of a Gallimimus that had tripped and fallen in the chaos. The poor herbivore didn't even have a chance to get back to its feet before its head was crushed under the giant foot of a panicked Apatosaurus. Shaking his head at the grisly sight Naruto focused ahead and saw the stampede getting more dense and chaotic the further he got within the herd. Realizing he would need both hands on the handlebars to navigate it safely, the blonde tucked the lit flare into a strap on the back of the seat before gripping the handlebars with both hands.
Cranking back on the throttle and shifting into a higher gear the blonde picked up speed and whizzed around a Stegosaurus narrowly avoiding one of its thagomizers, before zipping between the legs of a Brachiosaurus and pulling up alongside a Triceratops. Said triceratops was only beside him for a moment before a thundering roar made it take a hard left cutting in front of the blonde who had to hit the brakes a bit to avoid slamming into its side. Accelerating once more Naruto looked behind him in search of Rexy only to see her no longer behind him causing him to raise an eyebrow.
However a thundering on his right made him look in said direction to see the carnivore running alongside him,her gaze trained directly on him. Cranking back on the throttle once more the motorcycle sped up and he pulled ahead of Rexy swerving under her massive head before gaining a bit of distance on her. As he did so the blonde's eyes scanned the herd in front of him for any sign of the others and spotted them off to the left side atop Bumpy and making a break for the trees. "Good now where is…there you are" he says to himself as he spots a certain pair of hunters chasing after a gyrosphere as he enters the jungle. Reaching behind him Naruto grabs the flare once more with his left hand and holds it high for Rexy to see. With a swish of his wrist and a loud whistle he makes sure her attention is solely on him before heading in the direction of his target.
(Brooklynn and Darius)
Entering the jungle the two sped along in the gyrosphere as they fled from Mitch and Tiff only to let out a yelp as they hit a rock protruding from the ground. Said impact launched the gyrosphere several feet into the air, jostling the two within it around before it came crashing back to the ground and slammed into a larger rock and came to a stop. Looking down at the miniature screen by the control stick Darius's eyes widened as it went black "No no no come on!" He pleaded with the machine praying it would start back up as he frantically wiggled the control stick in an attempt to make it move.
"Darius, hurry, Tiff and Mitch are right behind us" Brooklynn pleads with the boy as she looks around for said hunters.
"I'm trying but there's no power!" Darius tells her still trying to get the gyrosphere started before a tapping on the ride's bulletproof glass exterior snaps him out of his efforts. Both he and Brooklynn look behind them to see Mitch and Tiff standing there with scowls on their faces.
The two teens watch as the adults stalk around either side of the gyrosphere before stopping directly in front of it. "I was definitely right about them," Brooklynn whispers to Darius, feeling the need to make one more remark about the two hunters.
Tiffany smirks evilly at the two as she taps her fingers along the side of her rifle "You can't stay in there forever, and when you come out we will be right here waiting for you" she remarks with a lick of her lips eagerly looking forward to getting some payback on the kids for all the trouble they have caused.
Hearing a repeated beeping from the tablet in his hands Mitch looks down at it only for his eyes to widen a bit in alarm as he sees a multitude of dots on the map heading straight towards them. Which accompanied by an steadily increasing in volume rumbling and the occasional dinosaur roar gives him a very bad feeling. "...Babe" he says to his wife looking up from the tablet and in the distance where he can see the stampeding herbivores crashing through the treeline. Upon seeing this the two hunters begin running in the opposite direction as fast as they could.
Looking in the direction of the stampede Brooklynn and Darius gain a shared look of fear on their faces as they do everything they can to try and start the gyrosphere. Yet it was futile as the gyrosphere remained motionless. All the two could do was hold on tightly to the safety belts keeping them in the seats as the gyrosphere was sent rolling from a Sinoceratops crashing into it. The two teens let out a yell as they rolled end over end as a result of the rides gyrostabilizer not being active. Another hit from the Sinoceratops sent the gyrosphere and teens within it colliding with the legs of a Brachiosaurus before bouncing off them. As luck would have it the impact seemed to have knocked something back into place for the Gyrosphere as it powered back up and Brooklynn wasted no time in reactivating the gyrostabilizer, righting them before driving the gyrosphere away from the stampede.
(Mitch and Tiff)
The two hunters ran as fast they could from the stampede but knew they would be unable to outrun it. With this in mind they made to climb one of the jungle trees. In the process of the climb which was just in time as the stampede thundered past where they were just moments before Tiff lost her grip on her rifle. The weapon fell to the ground and was quickly trampled under the foot of several herbivores as they ran by.
With the stampede having passed, Tiff was the first one to jump down from the tree and walked over to where the gun lay. The woman had a somber look on her face as she picked up the ruined weapon "No, this was a custom job!" she laments at the destroyed gun. The scope had been smashed to pieces, the stock was splintered, and the barrel had been bent back to such a degree it was almost at a ninety-degree angle.
Hopping down from the tree himself Mitch just shook his head at the woman's antics before turning away from her "Leave it and come on! We need to get back to the boat before-Whoa!" the man begins to say as he walks off only to be pulled off his feet and hanging upside down from a tree branch by a rope snare. "Get me outta this!" the man yells to his wife as she rushes over to him.
"Ugh hold still!" Tiff snaps at him trying to grab a hold of the swinging man.
"Oh gee Tiff, I can't for some reason!" Mitch quips with a roll of his eyes as he dangles about "Maybe it's because I'm hanging from my ankle in a snare trap!" he snaps at the woman in frustration.
Tiff gains an annoyed look on her face at this "Well it's not my fault you forgot where you and Hap set them" she remarks with a roll of her eyes at her husband's lapse in memory.
"It's not one of ours Tiff! We never went out this far!" Mitch snaps at her though part of him does wonder how the snare trap got there if they weren't the ones to place it there. The woman goes to say something only for a loud thud and the sound of an engine to be heard. For a moment they think nothing of it before another loud thud is heard followed by a certain roar.
Quickly climbing up the tree a bit Tiff tries to untie the snare from around Mitch's ankle to no avail. The sound of another thud, this one louder than before accompanied by another roar, makes the woman jump back to the ground and look in the direction of said roar. Where the Rexy can be seen in the distance. Making a choice, Tiff reaches into Mitch's shirt pocket and pulls out a set of keys before picking up the ruined rifle.
"...Babe?" Mitch whispers with a slightly horrified look in his eyes at what his wife seemed to be planning to do.
Pushing the ruined gun into Mitch's hands Tiff begins running away with a shout of "I always hated that nickname!" as she left the man to die so that she could escape.
"TIFFANY!" Mitch screamed in disbelief at his wife as he spun around in the snare left to die by his wife. As the man spun the sound of the motorcycle engine grew louder and louder before it stopped. Upon turning back around in the direction of where he had seen Rexy the man was stunned to find Naruto climbing off of his motorcycle and looking at him.
"How's it hanging Mitch?" the blonde quipped casually as if he was just asking the man how he was doing. Naruto looked upwards to the snare around the man's ankle and gained a lopsided grin "I see you found one of my snare traps" he remarks with a chuckle.
"Your trap!" Mitch asks in disbelief that he had been caught in a trap made by the blonde.
"Oh yeah I got a few scattered around the are useless for catching any of the medium or larger dinosaurs, not to mention ones like Compy's. But they work great for occasionally snagging one of the wild pigs that roam the island as well." Naruto remarks with a shrug as he had honestly forgotten about the traps given he set them prior to the fall of the park. With that thought in mind he made a mental note to go around and check them in the near future.
Mitch could hardly believe how relaxed the blonde was at the moment given the situation as another thundering footstep was heard and he could see Rexy getting even closer."Hey let me down would ya?" the man asks the teen hoping he would help.
Naruto hearing this raises an eyebrow "You know something Mitch,initially even with you being a poacher intent on killing the dinosaurs, that essentially are part of my Father's Legacy I would have done that…Now if it was your wife in this situation then the answer would have been a resounding 'Fuck No'...a real piece of sadisitc psycho bitch that one" the blonde remarks, his answer surpring the man a bit.
However Mitch's eyes widened in horror as Rexy came out of the trees and stood right behind the blonde bringing her head down level with his head. The man knew that between Naruto and himself the dinosaur was more likely to go for him given he was moving and the blonde wasn't. Afterall he knew the vision of a T-rex is based on movement.
The helpless man's attention however was brought back to Naruto as he saw the blonde scowl and glare at the man "But that was BEFORE I saw you torture Rexy here with the shock prod" he remarks causing Mitch's eyes to widen a bit more. "I saw the look in your eyes and on your face when you did so. You were ENJOYING causing her pain and having power over her" the blonde snarls out baring his teeth a bit at the man. Naruto shook his head slightly almost in disappointment at the man "That was the moment that I realized that while your as bad as your wife…Your still a pathetic worm of a man that deserves no mercy for his crimes" the blonde finished in disugst.
Mitch's gaze shifted from the blonde to the slightly growling Rexy, her teeth mere feet from him, her hot breath wafting over him. Thinking quickly he thought of something "If she kills me, she will go after you next!" he calls out to the teen hoping to sway him to his side.
Hearing this Naruto just laughed "Even if that was the case I would have taken my chances if it meant you got what you deserved" the blonde remarked confusing Mitch. However what the teen did next left him speechless. The man watched as Naruto not only moved with the rex's head right beside him but reached out and placed his hand on the side of the beast's snout giving it a gentle rub without losing limb to her jaws. "You see I had a hunch based on my past encounters with Rexy that he had some kind of connection. What this connection is I have no idea, but I took a chance on my hunch and well…you can see the results" the teen remarks with a smirk at his speechless look. "Now does this mean I have 'Tamed' her or control her…No not in the slightest. I had to wager a guess I would say we have an understanding? Who's to say what it is, but what it means is that you are at the end of line so to speak" Narutp finishes before taking a few steps to the side giving Rexy some room as she glares at Mitch.
The man begins panicking, for a moment he thinks to try and raise the rifle in his hands but knows it would be pointless. Even if the ammo within was undamaged there was no way the shot would connect with the carnivore given how bent the barrel is. Looking back at Naruto who was staring at him coldly, the man yells "This is murder!" at the teen.
Naruto raises an eyebrow at this before snorting "No it's not, legally it would be something else. Now what that is I have no idea, but even if it were so what?" the teen counters with a grin. "We are alone on this island, it's a fight for survival, and you are a threat to not only myself, but the others in my group, and the dinosaurs. All I am doing is ensuring the safety of those I am responsible for and ensuring that they are taken care of" he says with a laugh and spreads his arms wife.
At the blonde's words Mitch feels a shudder run down his spine "This kid is crazy" he thinks to himself before a realization sink in "No it's not that…He is an Apex predator with a pack…and we have threatened said pack" he thinks to himself understanding just what the teenager before really is.
"With that being said a good caretaker provides for those under their care so Rexy…breakfast" Naruto remarks with a blank look on his face as he seals the fate of the poacher.
For a moment Rexy doesn't move and just stares at Mitch before she opens her jaws wide and roars loudly right in his face. Then just as the man begins to scream in terror she thrust her head forward while turning it to the side. With her jaws opened wide around man's toros she clamps down piercing his flesh and crushing bone as she rips him free of the snare trap. Bringing her head back up and leveling it out she holds the dying man in her jaws for a moment as he continues to scream weakly. Then with a sudden movement, thrashing her head side to side, she jostles his position in her jaws and swallows him down her throat ending his life.
As this was happening Limbo and Chaos having followed the scents surrounding their dead packmate hid in some bushes nearby watching the whole scene. The two Baryonyx took note of Naruto standing next to Rexy as she finished her early morning meal. For a split second they considered attacking the teenager despite the larger threat of Rexy. However as the blonde turned in their direction and looked directly at them with a harsh glare they smelled something on him. It was the same thing they were smelling from Rexy and much like with her, it terrified them. So with that realization they chose to follow the other scent that was around their dead packmate.
Watching the two Baryonyx leave for a moment, Naruto then turned his attention to Rexy and walked over to her, placing his hand on the side of her snout as she brought her head down. "Thank you for the help" he says to the large carnivore, getting a deep rumbling growl from her before she raises her head and walks off. As she walked away though she stopped for a moment and let out a loud triumphant roar to which he echoed after taking a deep breath. The two roars echoing far and wide across the jungle before she resumed walking off. With that done Naruto hopped back on his motorcycle and drove off in pursuit of the direction Tiff fled. One threat had been dealt with, but he still had one more to go.
(Darius and Brooklynn)
The two teens sped along in the direction of the northwest dock where Mitch and Tiff had said their boat was docked knew that if the two hunters were to try and flee they would head there. So with that they planned to get ahead of them and cut them off. A solid plan that would go off without a hitch were it not for the gyrosphere malfunctioning off and on. It would seem the repeated hits it took had slightly damaged the ride causing it to continuously pull to the right, and rock back and forth as if the stabilizer was failing. Such issues were why instead of beating the married couple to the docks they arrived just in time to see Tiff by herself pushing the fenced gate open just enough to squeeze through before it closed behind her.
Seeing this Brooklynn gunned the throttle of the gyrosphere sending it crashing through the gate before it sputters to a stop and they quickly exited it. The two teens began running after the woman though they were quite far behind her as she had already reached the dock where their yacht was. As Tiff quickly boarded the yacht unaware that a pair of shapes ran past the fencing of the dock, she ran to the brige of the boat. Quickly putting the key into the ignition and turning it the yacht started up and she pushed the throttle forward to full.
Darius and Brooklynn seeing the boat starting to move tried running faster but it was to no avail as they reached it just in time for the yacht to pull away out of reach while also ripping one of the cleats metal cleats on the dock off as she hadn't untied the mooring line from it. The two teens watched helplessly as their means of escape from the island sailed away right before their eyes.
Exiting the bridge Tiff walked out to the side of the ship and saw the two teens standing on the dock "I AM OUT OF HERE! AND YOU BRATS ARE NEVER GETTING OFF THIS AWFUL ISLAND!" she yells back at them before grinning "IN FACT! I AM NOT GOING TO TELL ANYONE YOU'RE HERE!" she adds before jolting to the side as the yacht scrapes up against a protruding section of the shoreline. Steadying herself she looks back at the two teens once more "YOU LITTLE BRATS ARE GOING TO ROT AND DIE HERE!" she yells at them one final time before the boat goes around the side of the shore. Losing sight of the kids as a result Tif makes her way back into the bridge and stands at the helm. "Those damned kids, they ruined my vacation…and my marriage" the woman says the latter of which she isn't really upset about "And my best gun" she adds with a slight whine as she really did love that gun.
It was at that point a loud thud rang out and the boat shook for a moment. Raising an eyebrow at this Tiff stared out the massive window that made up the viewport with a look of confusion on her face. However after not seeing anything she just shrugged it off "Those kids are never going home" she tells herself while straightening the pink ascot around her neck. However it was at that moment she heard a low growling and either side of the window fogged up from the hot breath of something breathing on it. With a look of horror on her face Tiff stared out at the forms of Chaos and Limbo. The two Baryonyx having been the cause of the earlier thud as they seemingly leapt from the shoreline onto the boat or swam the short distance from the shore to it. With a shreking roar that was joined by the terrified scream of Tiff the two carnivores broke through the window and attacked the woman. Her screams from being ripped to shreds by the two predators echoing across the water for no one to hear before they like her were silenced forever.

The two teens dejectedly walked back to the entrance to the dock just in time to see Kenji pull up on the motorcycle before lazily hopping off and letting it tip over as he let out an exhausted sounding groan. They rushed over to him and helped the asian teen to his feet just as Bumpy lumbered into the area with Ben, Sammy, and Yaz atop her.
As the trio slid off the armored herbivore Ben sheepishly waved at Darius "Hey" he said rather awkwardly in greeting. The former germaphobe was initially surprised by Darius's sudden run over to him before hugging him tightly which after getting over the surprise he returned.
"I'm so sorry, I tried to hold on" Darius says in apology to the teen for his failure in saving him back on the monorail.
Pulling back from the hug Ben just grins "Think nothing of it kid. When you've seen the things I've seen…I've missed you guys too" he says before hugging Darius again.
"...Did you just call me 'kid'?" Darius asks in question at the term Ben used not understanding why he used it.
Ben didn't have a chance to answer said question as the others all joined in on the hug making it a big group hug iht Sammy yelling "Camp fam!".
After a moment however Yaz winced "Hugging too long" she remarks still not a fan of such an action before they all let go of each other.
"Shame, it seems like I missed the hugging portion of the reunion" a voice remarks as they look to see Naruto pull up on the scene riding his motorcycle. The sight of the blonde being all in one piece and safe causes the others to rush over to him and give him a big group hug, nearly knocking him off the bike. "Okay okay, I was joking geez" the blonde says with a laugh and slight blush given how the group was positioned Yaz's chest was pressed tightly against his.
As the others gave him some space Kenji gave him Naruto a slap on the back "Dude how did you escape Rexy!" he asks wanting to know how the blonde managed to do that given what they saw of him last.
Hearing the question Naruto just rubs the back of his neck sheepishly "Well it was lucky that I ran into Mitch…He wasn't so lucky though" the blonde says telling them a portion of what really happened. The implication of his words caused the others to gulp a bit. "Anyway I take it we were a bit too late and the boats gone?" he asks as he didn't see Tiff anywhere and it was a good assumption she managed to escape.
"We almost made it…but we were too late," Darius says, dejected by their failure. The confirmation of which sombered the others a bit.
"So what now? Do we try to find another distress beacon" Kenji asks, wondering what the plan was going forward.
"No," Naruto says, getting the attention of the others. "We're done waiting for someone to come rescue us, and are going to find our own way off the island. If someone arrives to save us before then, great. But us just passively waiting for rescue is over" the blonde says with a determined look in his eyes. Said look raised the hopes of the others and they all grinned and nodded in agreement. While someone coming to their rescue would be appreciated, they weren't going to solely rely on such a thing anymore.
"So what do we do first?" Sammy asked excitedly wanting to know what they should do next.
"Well first thing we should do is go raid Mitch and TIff's camp for any supplies as they won't be needing them" Naruto says getting a snort from Kenji and an excited grin from Brooklynn. After that we take the day off to relax, giving everything we just went through. Though I am going to make a quick trip Central Control Center of the park see if there is anything useful" Naruto says explaining the plan for the day and getting a cheer from Kenji at the prospect of lazing around for a day.
"Mind if I tag along? Two sets of eyes are better than one after all" Yaz asks the blonde with a raised eyebrow and a slight smirk on her face.
"Only if you can hold on Fadoula, won't be taking it slow on the bike like when it comes to your running" Naruto teases her with a smirk on his face before the two hop on the bike and he speeds them away.
"...So I guess the group meeting is over and we should go raid Mitch and Tiff's camp?" Ben remarks in confusion by the sudden and abrupt end to the planning session.
"It would seem so" Sammy remarks blinking owlishly for a moment as the others begin leaving with Kenji opting to take the gyrosphere, Brooklyn and Darius hopping, while she and Ben ride Bumpy. As the group leaves the dock clearing Sammy suddenly grins"Now Ben let me tell you about the wondrous glory that is Loony Tunes" she says eager to explain what it was to the teen.
Hearing this Ben shrugs "Alright but afterwards I get to tell you guys about my time surviving alone, and especially how I defeated Toro" the teen says with an excited grin on his face.
(Underground Control Room)
In the secret control room an alarm was going off as the screens began shutting off one by one from power failure. The last screen active was that of the one showing the door labeled 'E750', with said door having white smoke pouring out around its edges. A banging could be heard echoing on the other side of the door over the speakers before it was followed by a shrill piercing screech of a roar just before the screen died. Whatever E-750 is was irrelevant as it was now loose and given their luck so far likely meant trouble for the group of teenagers.

Ending Author Note…Whew thats over with. Well that wraps up Season 2's events and onwards to the excitement thats going to be Season 3.
Oh yeah baby this is when things get CRAZY…Revelations/Reveals, CHAOS!, Secrets, TERROR!, BADASSARY!, all that and more. Season 3 and beyond is going to be NUTS! But ESPECIALLY Season 3.
That being said, a big PSA for people who have watched the show. PLEASE do not spoil things/events for Season 3 and beyoND to people that HAVE NOT watched the show. I love reviews but I would really appreciate it if big spoilers aren't revealed in them. The biggest thing that this pertains to is 'E-750'.
E-750 is something I have been looking forward to covering ever since it was revealed. It's the BIGGEST threat the campers will face so far and really wanna have it led up to/revealed similar to how it was in the show as the tension was phenomenal.
