Seth entered the gym, and he saw the leader at the end of the path.
Seth walked up, and the leader said, "Hello, I am Erika, and I see you have a very cute Pokemon."
"Eh Voi." Eva blushed at this comment.
"Now, you are here to battle me, correct?"
"Yes I am," said Seth.
"Very well, but I will not loose."
Seth is challenged by Gym Leader Erika.
"Go Tangela!"
"Tangela!"
"You're on Charmeleon!"
"CHAR!"
"Use Stun Spore!"
"Dodge and use slash!"
Charmeleon managed to dodge in time, and he slashed at Tangela.
"Now, use Fire Fang!"
Charmeleon bit down on Tangela, and fire exploded from the bite.
"Mega drain, go!"
Tangela then drained some of Charmeleon's health.
"Charmeleon, use Flamethrower!"
Charmeleon then breathed deep, and then he blasted away. As he did, he glowed.
What's this!? Charmeleon is evolving!
Congratulations! Seth's Charmeleon evolved into a Charizard!
"Wow! Charmeleon evolved into a Charizard! We also got a new move! WING ATTACK, GO!"
Charizard flew up, and hit Tangela with his wing, and Tangela fainted.
"Great work buddy!" said Seth.
"Eevoi!"
"RAAAAAAAAAHHHH!"
"Very nice. But now, how about a new battle? Weepinbell, come on out!"
"Wee!"
"Okay, Charizard, return for now! Eva, you're up!"
"VOI, YEH!"
"Weepinbell, use Razor Leaf!"
"Iron Tail!"
Eva jumped over the razor leaves, and she hit a home run on Weepinbell.
"Now, Quick Attack!"
Eva was fast, and smacked Weepinbell into a tree.
"Vine whip!"
Weepinbell then summoned vines, and she grabbed Eva, and smacked her into the ground.
"EVA!"
Eva then got up, and stumbled a bit. She stood firm, and glared at Weepinbell.
"Now, use Swift!"
Eva launched her stars, and Weepinbell tried to dodge, but they hit her home!
"One last Iron Tail!"
Eva once more used Iron Tail, and Weepinbell fainted.
"Well done Eva, come on back!"
"Well, I'm down to my last Pokemon. Let's see yours. Vileplume, go!"
"Okay, Volpix, go!"
"Vol!"
"My, is that an Alolan Volpix?"
"Yes it is!" said Seth, "I found it before I came here!"
"Very well. I'd hate to harm such a cute Pokemon, but I must do what I must do. Solar Beam!"
"Ice Beam, go!"
Volpix then launched a beam of ice, and it countered the Solar Beam.
"Now, use tackle!"
Volpix tackled Vileplume to the ground, and Vileplume took a critical hit.
"Vileplume, use acid!"
"DODGE IT FAST!"
Volpix dodged, and she landed gracefully.
"Now, Ice Beam!"
Volpix then launched one more ice beam, and Vileplume fainted.
Seth defeated Gym Leader Erika.
"Oh, I concede defeat. You fought well."
Seth received 1,253 Poke Dollars!
"Well done. As proof of your victory, you may have the Rainbow Badge."
Seth and Eva nodded at each other, and then high fived!
Seth received the Rainbow Badge!
"You may also have my favorite TM."
Seth received TM 53 Mega Drain!
"Mega Drain takes half of the energy of your opponent. It comes in handy when you are on low HP."
Seth walked out of the gym, and he let his Pokemon out for a bit. While they were around, one of the mystery stones Seth had glowed when it was next to Charizard.
