Idea 68.
Random ideas that have been sitting in my drafts. I wanted to work on and post other stuff but I've been horrendously ill so take these for the time being.

*Izumi POV*
She had to be the dumbest person in the world!
Izumi had only been looking to get back at the people who screwed her over, not kill two people and kidnap their baby.
It was supposed to be as simple as breaking into that yakuza's daughter's house, make some threats, and get enough evidence for the police to make a move. How was she supposed to know that the lady's husband was going to enter the room right when she did? Izumi had yelled in surprise and hit the man when he rushed her but she quickly realized it was a room meant for a baby and when her eyes glanced at the crib against the wall the father dashed for his child. However, the moment he made contact with his baby he vanished into thin air and his wife entered the scene a second after and started screaming at Izumi while charging her with a knife.
The greenette panicked and managed to avoid getting stabbed but she roughly shoved the woman back. The mother stumbled, her body tipping back, and Izumi flinched at the loud bang of her head slamming against the crib. The woman went completely limp and blood began slowly leaking through her hair and Izumi could only stare in shock at the scene before her. Her breathe shortened and her body felt clammy but she was snapped out of things when the baby began wailing.
Izumi didn't know why she didn't just run.
Instead she was trying to calm the shrieking baby to no avail and against her better judgement from what she saw she picked the child up and tried to comfort them. However, through the cries Izumi began to hear commotion and the sound of other people prompting her to flee without thought. She could hear shouts and the pounding of footsteps but the girl ran with the baby as if she was possessed.
She ran and ran, her lungs burning and her legs feeling faint, and eventually all the noise that was left was the faint whimpers of the child in her arms. The light had faded and a chill set in and the baby shifted uncomfortably while the tell tale signs of another fit of crying began anew. Izumi desperately forced herself to walk, cradling the baby close to her, but the child's tears resumed and something inside of her cracked.
"No, no, please don't cry," she pleaded, tears stinging her own eyes now, "I'm the one that wants to cry."
Izumi really was an idiot.
-Izumi kidnaps a baby Eri on impulse after accidentally killing Eri's parents
-Izumi lost her parents to some yakuza in Eri's grandfather's group, wanted to take them down
-Izumi 18-20 when taking Eri (24-26 when Eri is 6)
-Story starts when Eri is 6 or so (Izumi acts in place as her mom)
-Eri's grandfather still looking for her (Eri being abandoned and her quirk being known never happened)
-Izumi's quirk has to do with memory manipulation? (Uses it to make a vague backstory and implants it in a number of the residents of where they settle)
-Izumi is kind of fretful and paranoid, leans into it slightly to get sympathy so people will defend her and Eri
Not sure why but whenever I have Izumi get involved with Eri early then they're always on the run or hiding after getting into a huge mess. I'm not too sure exactly where I can take this but as far as a pair for Izumi I definitely think they should be a hero so I can play into Izumi's caution and methods.

-Initial slime incident with Bakugo ended with Izumi running in and getting part of her face 'exploded'

-Itsuka? Chronic injuries in her right hand and mild ones to her left (Izumi first serves her food and gives her a fork as opposed to chopsticks because she notices)

I want countryside slice of life, while also working through somethings with the characters. I just enjoy slow life stuff and contemplation as well as growing through bonds with others. This Izumi would stem from canon so she's also quirkless too.

"What was that?" (K)
"That was Izumi," "a...resident here," (G)
"One that can just walk into any cell she wants?" (K)
"Not like anyone can stop her," (G)
"Why's that?" (K)
"I asked around and everyone says that she's been around since before they got here," "even people as old as the warden," "I think she's in the records like that too," "Apparently there was an attempt to relocate her but it caused a lot of problems cause no one could get her out," "So she just stays here and we all learned to live with it," (G)
"We don't know if it's a quirk and I think at this point we don't care," "She's pretty nice to have around, certainly makes this place more lively for everyone, but don't make her mad alright?" "I've never seen it but it's a real important rule around here," "It was through the rumor mill sure but the last person she didn't take a liking to supposedly disappeared a few days later," "No one figured out exactly what happened though," (G)

"Just gotta make sure people don't cause trouble for the whole place by doing something to Izumi," "between us, I dug real far into the records," "from before this place was the super prison it is," "Izumi seems to be in them, though never by name, and there was a pretty big riot once with an almost breakout," (G)

"Maybe," "the thing didn't last long cause it's said that a monster appeared and brought everything back to order," "whoever was writing it toed around the specifics but they kinda implied that some really bad things happened," (G)

"I'm serious!" "I mean like some of the worse prisoners were eaten alive during the event," "Much as I like her, if Izumi is some kind of ancient monster that will devour people then I'd really like to be friendly in her eyes instead," "Whether it's not connected or it's just a twisted up story I'd rather not take chances," (G)

In thinking of Yokai Izumis I landed on the Itsumade and located her in Tartarus. I figured she'd have been around maybe since or just prior the dark age of quirks and she eventually settled into the area that Tartarus eventually was built at. She keeps people there and even sometimes terrifies them to keep them despairing. As time went on she mellowed out slightly and now is just a strange existence in the prison but she will go to some extremes when her domain is disturbed whether that be internally or externally.

-Quirk: Return (Parry and Attack) (Needs to be consciously used, turned off/on)
-Blocking with her left side (whole body left) lets her return with the right (whole body right) for as hard as she was hit (plus her own force)
-Big Sis is straight hard bodied, built for fighting
-Izumi is a 2nd year (Classmates/Pair with Mawata Fuwa who is also big sister like)
-Very rarely she can be a bit socially awkward when feeling embarrassed
-Readily defends others, it often lands her into trouble
-A bit simple minded
I really want to do something with an Izumi who has a parry for a quirk. I just like parry mechanics in games. I also wanted to try writing Mawata Fuwa and expanding her character in my own way while also putting Izumi close to but not in the 1st year hero classes. I figured she and Mawata would be like a pair of reliable senpai they can go to and the two of them are also viewed in a big sisterly way to a number of the 1st years.
I enjoy sharing my drafts and creative process cause the feedback really helps and I also like getting your thoughts.
