President Snow wasn't happy that Freya Thatcher brought poison into the arena. He accused me of playing favorites, which I furiously denied. I told him I thought it would add an unexpected twist, but he wasn't fooled. I was on thin ice. One more step out of line would be my end.
This year, the arena would be the most spectacular one the Capitol had ever seen. It would go down in Hunger Games history and President Snow would see my worth. The tributes would have everything they wanted. And then it would all be ripped away.
Hi! Yes, I am starting another SYOT. As you may have figured out, I have no self-control when it comes to fanfics... so here we are. This will be another partial SYOT so I don't have to write as many tributes and so I can focus more on the submitted tributes. The submission rules will be listed below and on my profile. The tribute form and tribute list will be on my profile too.
Also, sorry about the short prologue. I'm feeling pretty sick today but like I said, I'm impatient and wanted to publish the story.
SUBMISSION RULES
1. This SYOT is generally first come/first serve. If I have an issue with a character, I'll talk to you about it and see if we can compromise.
2. I will be accepting 12 tributes and I want to keep the gender ratio even, so please keep that in mind when you submit. Once I get 6 of either girls or boys, I'm going to close the rest of that gender's slots. Non-binary tributes are absolutely welcome though! I'm mainly talking about the gendered slot they're Reaped under.
3. I will be accepting one tribute per submitter. Reservations are allowed. Your slot will be reserved for two weeks. But if you need an extension, ask! I don't bite! (But I do write about teenagers being killed…)
4. When you submit your tribute, PLEASE title your PM with your character's name and district. I am BEGGING you. It makes things so much easier for me!
5. Please try to leave a review once in a while. I understand how chaotic life can be, but it's nice to know people are reading. And I want to make sure I'm doing your characters justice.
6. If your tribute is a resubmission from an abandoned SYOT, please tell me. I do accept resubmissions, but I want to know.
(Another Quick Note: When you submit a tribute, please give them realistic traits and backstories. For example, a Career tribute from District 1 will probably have a fancy, eye-catching name, good looks, prior training, and will most likely be wealthy. A tribute from 11 is probably poor or malnourished, and may have to work to get by. This isn't a hard-and-fast rule though - just something to keep in mind.)
