Marie has been aside with her best friend since they were children. They too are considered strange in their town her friend Belle reads and Marie's a woodcarver like her parents. When Belles father goes missing Marie goes with her to look but found a castle instead. Read and find out what happens?

5. Chapter 5

Marie's Pov

After the tour ofthe castle with David except to where they sleep in the west was leading me to the dining room as music can be heard behind the two large doors. "Looks to likeLumiare is making you and your friend feel welcome here." Said David opening the doors. There I saw Belle seated watching the servants who were performing their musical number. I smiled enjoying the show too. I looked over to my right shoulder seeing David leaning against the door frame smirking of us feeling comfortable after everything that happened. When they were finished belle and I applauded for their amazing performance. "That was wonderfull." Said Belle. "Truely inspiring and magical." I said walking towards them. "Thank you my ladies. Would you look at the time. It's time to get off to bed." Said Cogsworth. "How can get we rest when we're staying at a place like this?" I said. "It's not everyday we stay in a enchanted castle." Said Belle. "Who's said that this was enchanted?"said Cogsworth nervously. "We figured it out." Belle said as they fought. "Id like to look around. Can you show me?" Said Belle a they stopped. "Do these two always argue?" I whispered to David who stood beside me. "Sometimes but it's amusing to watch." Said David smiling as Belle left with Cogsworth andLumiare. "David if its not too how did all this happen?" i asked seeing the dishes and glasses going to the kitchen. "I cant tell you where everyone is watching and hearing. But i know where to go. If your willing to follow my lead." said David. "Hey im up to anything that is thrown in my way." said Marie. "Alright then this way." said David walking out of the room. Marie was close behind him as the two reached to the stairs split apart. "Wrap your arms around me." said David turning around.

"Too forward dont you think." said Marie crossing her arms. "You want answers right?" said David spreading hiswings out. Marie walked over to him and put her arms around his neck and torso. "Don't scream or letgo." said David wrapping his arms on her upper back and took off into the air with one flap. Marie watched as David past the columns towards the closed curtains on the east wing. Closing her eyes expecting to hit the glass but felt a cold dust of wind blowing on her hair. David chuckled flying high above the castle to a tall broken tower and landed on the wooden floor. Marie looked around letting go of him carefully walking to the large hole showing the woods and a lake. She looked at how beautiful the stars showing above the trees and the reflection before David perched himself in the edge of the destroyed bricks next to Marie staring at the scene as well. "It was ten years ago when it all started. Adam was hosting a ball with only beauty and riches which wasnt my idea since i am a year younger then him. I was talking with one of our guests until She came." Said David looking at his talons. Marie sat down on the edge looking ay him seeing the emotions running through his eyes. "Who? The one who cursed you?" Said Marie. "Yes. You see i was the one who opened the door seeing a sweet elder who wanted shelter from a horrible storm. Adam didnt like the sight of her or the offering she had. He wanted her out and i tried reasoning with him but you know what happened next. Her skin melted away like wax as the elder was actually an enchantress who used her rose that she offered as a symbol for our curse. Until someone accepts Adam for who he is on the inside by his twenty first birthday then we can be human again." Said David. "And if it doesnt then you're all stuck like this." Said Marie seeing him nod slowly. "Im sure me and Belle c-"

"GET OUT!" Adams voice echoed through the castle. David swooped Marie quickly into his arms flying down to the gardens seeing Belle riding out of the gates. "Belle!" Said Marie running after her. "Marie!" Said David grabbing her before she can reach the gates. "Are you insane the wolves will have you for dinner?" Said David making her face him. "Then thats a risk im willing to take. Maurice lost his wife and im not letting him lose Belle too." Said Marie then heard a growl. She and David ducked as Adam jumped over them running after Belle. "Huh? Looks like you girls will be helpful after all. Come on let you inside before get ill." Said David leading her inside. "Not until i know Belle and Adam are safe." Said Marie pulling away. David grabbed the collar of her dress as he saw the glare in her green eyes. "You're different then the girls i met." Said David. "Thats because im not a helpless woman needing a strong man for everything. Now let go before i make you." Said Marie raising her fist slowly close to Davids face. "You're not going out there alone. Hop on." Said David as Marie climbed on his back. He flew them over the forest to where the sounds of wolves cries and Adams roars are heard. David dropped Marie into a pile of snow before throwing off a wolf latching its teeth on Adams shoulder. Marie got to Belle who cowering behind a tree watch Adam and David fighting against the pack of wolves. She saw the wolves get scared once David breathed out fire in front of them and took off. David breathed heavily as the claws on his chest, bite mark on his left calf and another on his right bicep, and a tear on his left wing. He then looked over at Adam on time to catch him as his body was too tired and sore from the fight. Marie went over to help him up as Belle was about ready to leave but stopped for a moment before taking off her cloak and draped it over Adam. David and Marie managed to get Adam on Phillips back while Belle held onto the reigns the whole time they walked back to the castle.
