The next day in town, Ino had gone to a store and was looking around the shelfs for any signs of clocks.
"Can I help you, miss?" asked an employee who walked over.
"I'm looking for an alarm clock," said Ino.
"Right this way, we actually just got a couple of new models recently," said the employee before guiding her to a shelf with a dozen clocks on it.
"This one looks good," said Ino while picking a simple looking one up in order to get a better look at it.
"That's actually a good choice," said the employee.
"That model is known for its ability to take a beating and the alarm even comes with a volume control so you can increase the sound," he said.
"Hope it's as tough as you say," said Ino while heading to checkout.
"Break your last one?" asked the employee while reaching into their pocket.
"Yeah, I hit the snooze button and it just… snapped," said Ino as he turned around and caught his arm before he could stab her with a syringe that was filled with a clear liquid.
"Damn!" said the man before Ino grabbed the syringe and stabbed him in the neck with it.
"Can't believe someone would make an attempt like this," said Ino while grabbing her phone.
"Wha… what?" asked the horrified cashier.
"A terrorist just tried killing me," said Ino as she threw some cash down on the counter while she kept moving for the door.
"Hey, there was an attempt on me, I'm heading to Alpha Location," she said after the person on the other end answered.
"I'll have some guards waiting, be careful," said Maggie.
"Can't believe this day actually came," she said while looking out her bedroom window at the campus with a worried expression.
