Half an hour later, Ino had arrived at an abandoned building.
"Miss. Inuzuko, we were just about to go looking for you," said one of two men waiting inside for her. The inside of the building was more put together with furniture and some computer monitors.
"I don't know if someone was following me so I took some precautions on my way here," said Ino.
"Here's the information on the man from the store from what we were able to gather," said the other man while handing over a file.
"He was a Touwan who had lived here for years?" asked Ino.
"He still is," said the first man.
"It wasn't poison in the syringe?" asked a surprised Ino.
"No, it was a sedative so we believe you were being targeted for a kidnapping not an assassination," said the second man.
"Where is he now, Orick?" asked Ino while looking at the first man.
"He was picked up and transferred to the Hall, once awake he'll be interrogated by the best in both West and Touwa so we should be getting more information soon," said Orick.
"Good," said Ino as she stared at the ground.
"Is something still bothering you, miss?" asked the second man.
"Just one thing, Tony," said Ino.
"Why kidnap me instead of just straight out killing me?" she asked before taking a glance back at the documents that she was still holding.
"Because you hold more sway alive," said Tony.
"No, killing me would do more damage since I'm dating the Princess of West," said Ino.
"You're also the daughter of a Viscountess and politician of both countries," said Orick who was starting to get what she was getting at.
"Meaning both countries would blame each other and restart the war, kidnapping you would actually have little sway on the world in comparison," said Tony.
"So if I wasn't targeted to be killed, then I'm just a decoy," said Ino.
"Princess Maggie!" said the three with worried expressions.
