Preface
Basically, a journal that documents Minato's entire journey as a Wild Card from start to finish, taken from my own gameplay footage of Persona 3 Reload, as well as aspects from older versions of Persona 3 and its supplementary media.
I'm infatuated by the protagonist, who hereby will be referred to as Minato Arisato. Ever since I first experienced Persona 3, I've found myself drawn to this character. Many characters in fiction have experienced the things he went through but somehow, he's just stuck in my mind. Not one day passed without me checking Archive Of Our Own, FanFiction, and various social media platforms to enjoy works centering around Minato from like-minded people. One of the reasons is he dies in the end, after sacrificing his life in order to protect those he holds dear (and to save the world as well). But above all, he also made the most of his time, which is in line with the theme and the message conveyed by Persona 3 in general.
Please note that this isn't anything like worship or romantic interest or anything. I just want Minato to be happy, to live the life he deserves, and to be reunited by his friends.
The second part of the last sentence is a recurring theme in the fandom. Many creative works involve Minato undergoing resurrection, either back into the world of Persona or into the world of other media across fiction. I used to write some myself, but it's been years since I published anything. I have remnants of my old works, but I don't know how to pick it back up from there. Therefore, I've decided to start over from scratch.
But first, I must go on the journey, his journey, in order to learn more, and hopefully grow fond of him even more. With the release of Reload (I knew Episode Aigis was coming so I put off purchasing the game until it came out), I've been enjoying every single minute of it. So far, it's going really well. As I'm writing this, I've just entered October, where the first part of the entire conflict is about to reach its climax. I can't wait to get to it, and cry at Shinji's death all over again. The link episodes have helped me connect to him even more, where it was nonexistent in previous iterations of Persona 3. It's partly how I've managed to muster the courage to get back into writing.
In-story, Minato doesn't write this journal the first day he arrives at Iwatodai, but more like after the June full moon operation, after Fuuka joins the team, when he's already warmed up to everyone. However, the entries will be dated chronologically. I hope I'm able to write this as best I could.
