Heaven was a tricky thing. The Bible informs heaven is some sort of place one has to strive to get in. You have to be good, properly good, to go up above and that angels are perfect beings, and a representation of what God is; however, not for those angels, two supreme archangels to be precise, who knew what heaven was really like. Of course, it took demons to open their eyes to the truth but nevertheless, it was safe to say heaven was no different than being in hell, in some ways that was, and making a deal with God was just as dreadful as making a deal with Satan himself.

It was in that little room where Cassi was taken when she had fully understood why her dad hated heaven. She was confused when there was no one in the room until a light shined on her, calling out her name and discussing matters with her that went back centuries. It was when God had given her two options on how to fix all that had transpired and Cassi, being the daughter of who she was, opted for the latter; restore the raptured humans, end the end of the world matter but most importantly, the one thing that made her agree to it was, "Your parents will be free to live wherever they wish, be together, and we give you our word, no one will trouble them." The Metatron had reiterated after Cassi's discussion with God was done.

Cassi's eyes glossed as she sat opposite of the Metatron. "They will be able to live safe and free?"

"You have our word, Cassiopeia. You have God's word." He pushed the contract to her side of the table.

"And the humans, earth, the galaxy…you will leave them alone?"

"Erm, for now, yes but remember what God said. The end of the world is inevitable. It's part of the ineffable plan but if you manage to do what you said you could, then, well, we will take it from there."

"I said I would try."

The Metatron nodded and held a pen out for her to take. "Your real name, please, and your given station."

Cassi bit her lip and signed the paper and somewhere up in the heavenly files, a file was updated.

Crowley wanted the day never to end because if it did, it meant it was time. He paced around the living area, his mind and heart going a million miles an hour, deciding whether to stop time or not. Would that even help? "Fuck." He plopped on the sofa when he knew it was not even possible given how his daughter had signed, and without permission.

Aziraphale entered the room as quietly as possible. "Crowley?" He sat next to the demon and for the first time, had no idea how to soothe his husband. He had no right words, no right thoughts, no words of comfort to give.

Crowley had buried his face in his hands, his shoulders shook as he quietly sobbed. "She's…so stupid." He sniffed.

Aziraphale nodded, agreeing with Crowley's sentiments while a tear ran down his own cheek. "Ti-time will fly by." He kept telling himself.

"100,000 years." Crowley choked out a sob and turned to his angel. "She will guard this stupid galaxy for 100,000 years and for what? Hm? Some stupid humans who won't even know there's a girl out there somewhere protecting them from harm. Harm from heaven no less and to top it off, it's not even a guarantee they won't be destroyed after the years are over." He stood up. "Why? Because during those years God will decide if they are worth saving? If they are worth loving?"

Aziraphale stood on his feet and buried the demon head in the crook of his neck. "It's our job to help Cassi. She convinced God humans are capable of being good and loved if only someone would guide them. That's why Gabriel and Beelzebub took those jobs back, to help our daughter." He sniffed. "We must trust they will persuade the demons and angels we can all really get along. Cassi promised God world peace."

Crowley met Aziraphale's eyes. "Your daughter is a stupid girl. A selfless stupid girl."

"Our daughter." Aziraphale wiped Crowley's years away. "She will be down here any moment, and we can't…can't let her see us a mess. We promised." He whispered the last sentence.

It took them some painful moments to compose themselves, but all was in vain the second their daughter came downstairs. "Please." Her eyes were red, and cheeks stained with dry tears.

The family reluctantly walked outside and waited for the call. They huddled up into a tight embrace until a light beamed down from the heavens. It was not taking her to heaven though, nor to another planet or galaxy. Cassi had signed a contract stating she would guard everything created by God against God herself. She believed humans, the universe, were worth saving, especially her parents' love. 100,000 years she asked God to grant her to help her see that humans were worth everything. For 100,000 the daughter of an angel and a demon would be out there, somewhere, nowhere, and everywhere making sure everything was alright.

The feeling someone would get when they just had a good conversation would be due to her. And the way butterflies formed when meeting someone new, would also be her. A new love, a baby's first birth, everything positive that would happen in the world, from that day on, would be her doing. During those years, she would be alone, yes, but knowing she would see her parents again is what Cassi knew would keep her going.

"You can't leave." Aziraphale broke down and refused to let his daughter go. "You're grounded." He chuckled.

Cassi giggled through her tears and refused to let go as well. Crowley, too, refused to let go of the daughter he created with his angel out of love however, he knew the consequences of not doing what heaven had instructed. "I love you, Cassi." He kissed his daughter's forehead and let her go. "You don't fucking forget how much I love you. You're not allowed."

The girl nodded.

Aziraphale gulped, looking for the words to come out of him. "My darling child," he pressed his forehead against hers, "it will be but a little while. Only a little while. What did I say?"

"Blink of an eye." She sobbed.

The angel gave her one last hug and kissed her head. "Your dad is right. Don't forget we love you."

The light beamed brighter and coaxed the nephalem, slowly lifting her up. "I love you." Cassi's looked down at her parents and waved goodbye. She had grown to love them and the thought of possibly never seeing them ever again is what made her breath hitch.

Aziraphale shook his head and pushed Crowley away. "No, wait. Crowley st-stop her." He reached out to her but in that moment, Cassi's corporation dispersed into a million pieces. The angel's knees buckled, and he let out a desperate wail.

Crowley knelt next to Aziraphale and took him into his arms. His tears flowed into the angel's hair as the angel's raw sobs echoed through the backyard. Their once lively cottage life seemed dull and dejected the moment their daughter, the most precious thing to ever exist to them, was gone.
