I've Got You

"Night Cap!" TK called, walking past her office and getting ready to head home for the night where he knew his husband would be making them dinner.

"Oh, TK," Tommy stood from her desk, and he paused. "Can I talk to you for a minute?"

He walked into her office and sat in the chair she gestured to.

"Did I do something wrong Cap?" TK asked uncertainly.

"No, not at all," Tommy answers, walking around her desk and sitting in the chair next to him. "I have something I need to tell you… something I need to tell everyone, but I wanted you to hear it first. Well, not first I suppose, Nancy and your dad know-"

"Cap," TK cut in, "What's going on?"

Tommy took a deep breath and took TK's hands in hers.

"Hey babe!" Carlos called as he heard the loft door slide open. "Perfect timing! Dinner is ready, what do you…"

Carlos trailed off as he turned and saw TK hadn't moved beyond the threshold. His work bag hung loose in his fingers and his face looked… broken.

"TK?" Carlos crossed the loft quickly and took his husband's face in his hands. The bag dropped to the floor.

"TK? What happened?"

TK blinked, his eyes focusing, and he seemed to finally realize Carlos was there. As his gaze zeroed in on his husband, TK's eyes overflowed with tears.

"Tommy has Cancer," he said, voice barely above a whisper.

Carlos pulled TK to him without a word, wrapping his arms around his husband. He felt him behind to shake with sobs.

"Shh, I've got you," Carlos murmured, "I'm here baby. Let it all out."

TK's legs gave out and Carlos lowered them slowly to the floor, never breaking the hold.

"I've got you," he repeated, "I've got you Ty, we'll get through this."

Just a short little thing that came to me watching the end of the last episode.

I can't believe they're doing this to Tommy, especially with so few episodes left and I know in the preview for next week we see her telling Owen, but I couldn't help thinking about how TK would react.

We've seen that he talks to Tommy about things he used to go to Gwyn for so this would be such a blow to have her sick.
