Agent Mission; Undoubtable

Sequel to Agent Teachers, Moroha has been selected to attend a more advanced school if she were to prove herself to be a great agent like her parents.

Chapter 1

Fog is everywhere in its location, nothing but that. It made sure that no one can really see another soul in the mist. But that's where it's best at. To hide something or someone. A silhouette is running as fast as it could. Male or female. Young or old. Human or demon. It doesn't matter to this individual. All it wants to do is to run. But to where is unclear. The area is unknown. Not a thing that is familiar. Fog has completely covered every inch of the surrounding area.

"I can't…" It spoke softly to itself as it pants. It can't what though exactly? No answer right now. A sound of barking is somewhere, alerting it. Ignoring the fatigue, the individual flees ahead, hoping not to be captured. 'It's because of her that I'm in this situation." It growls in frustration. 'Ten years. I'll make sure she suffers for what she did to me."

"Sir, they picked up on her scent." One person tells his boss nearby with a k-9 unit with them. The dog sniffs thoroughly around themselves. "No doubt about it. She has definitely gone this way." The boss confirms it seriously.

"What about this fog? She won't be able to tell which way she's going." The one office asks curiously. The dog points in the direction of their target. "From the looks of it, it'd be as if she somehow knew this area pretty well despite not being here at all." The boss releases the leash off the dog's back to let it do its job. The dog barks and runs in the direction of the scent it picked up, leading the way through the thick fog.

The fog is too dense to tell where the next step would be. On a root, rocks, water, or even meadow. But it's too difficult to tell at the point. The individual had to be extremely careful. There's no telling if the next step could be its downfall. The dog's barking has reached its ears. "Oh no." It said in freight. Not wasting another second, it bolts as fast as it could until it slips onto the slippery slope of a rock. Out of instinct, it screams.

The dog heard the shout and heads in that general direction. "I hear her. She's not far." Then all of a sudden the fog vanishes, revealing the surrounding area to the team. They spot their target. "Give it up, Misako. You have no where to go." The boss shouts to the individual.

The fog exposes a woman who is hanging on through a branch, over a river with fast rapids. "I'm not going back there. And you're not going to get me." She shouts back even though she's scared. She can see that the dog is by the trunk of the fallen tree that is hanging over the river. "You don't want to make this harder for the rest of us or yourself. Just come back." The one officer orders her. She can see that she's trapped. Either be captured by the officers who are after her, or jump to her death into the river rapids.

She does the unthinkable.

"No!" The officers helplessly watch her jump off the tree branch and into the river. They were in a state of shock. For what they know is that no one has every survived in that river. It's freezing as well. There have been reports of bodies being dragged along the currents but none have survived. They watch carefully to see if she'll come to the surface. But no. "She's done this to herself." The boss said to the officer. Even the dog whimpers at its failure for not completing the task. "There's no point of staying here. We need to follow the river downstream and make sure we recover the body." The boss suggests them as they go in the general direction until the river ends into the ocean.

Not long after their departure, the woman reaches the surface, breathing as much as she could for staying underwater and the rapids for so long. 'That was so close.' She thought to herself, not risking to say it out loud. That alone would alert the dog. She sits on a flat rock. Drenched from the cold waters, she has to find a different location to hide until her next idea comes into her mind. She didn't care how long it's been, or how long she's been going. All that matters to her is that she needs to hide somewhere so that no one can find her.

Hours later, she's wandering in the middle of nowhere until she hears a bell. A school bell. She looks around to see a school building up ahead. She sees only girls attending the school. "Hey." A voice gets her attention.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." It was one of the students here. She's in the school's spring style uniform. A simple red jacket with the school's symbol on the left pocket. The skirt is black and white checkered to her knees as well as the white knee length socks and school shoes.

She has black hair to her shoulders with uneven bangs over her forehead. Her eyes are deep green.

"I'm Meiko." She introduced her to the woman.

"It's nice to meet you. My name is…" She can't really give her actual name to this girl. She's a wanted fugitive and by the looks of her attire, she doesn't want to be caught. "Saki." She gives her fake name.

Meiko smiles. "I don't live far from here, and you seem that you have to go somewhere. But you need to get out of those clothes." She offers her assistance. Misako can tell that she is telling the trust due to her clothes are damped from being in the river awhile back. "Sure." She smiles and follows Meiko to her house.

The Takahashi house is still the way it's been for the last decade. Of course Moroha who was just four years old is now 14 years old. Her appearances show that she has what it takes to face anything that she sets her mind to. She likes to go outside and just run for a long period of time.

As such she prefers that way when she heads to her school in town. Being at her last year of the 8th grade has really been a dozy. Not that she's complaining or anything. Her academics have proven that she's the top of her class, her P.E. class admire her stamina and physique, that no one can match her in any of the sports of the class. With that, she's proud of that.

But there are moments that she has to be careful with. Even though she's grown up, she needs to control her strength. She doesn't want to be the troublemaker. Or at least that's what a few students believe. They just try to make conversation, but Moroha doesn't seems bothered by it. As for the features she is exposed is that she has little claws like her father. Even if she tries to clip them with nail clippers, they just grow back within the next day.

Other than that, her little fangs are what worry the students. They think that she's a demon. More like a quarter demon. However Moroha doesn't say a word about it. She knows from her father as well as her cousins who are half demons themselves, she doesn't want to go the same treatment. Being an outcast. So far Towa and Setsuna are not like that. And for certain their father has decided to let them attend the school with Moroha.

As soon as Moroha enters her first period class, the teacher gestures her to come to the desk. "Is there a problem, sensai?" Moroha asks him politely.

"Moroha, you are requested to visit the headmaster's office right away." Her teacher tells her. Moroha didn't see this coming. "Oh. Ok." She leaves the room and heads towards the direction of the office.

"And are you sure this is the only option?" A woman asks the headmaster, Mr. Totosai.

"I'm certain for sure. This school is perfect for her." He confirms it. The door is knocked. "Come in Moroha." Totosai allows the girl to enter the room. Moroha spots her mother, Kagome in one of the seats. "Mom, I was able to pick up your scent here. What's going on?" Moroha asks her as well as to Totosai,

"I've been called in to discuss about this opportunity Totosai has provided." Kagome answers her daughter's question calmly. Moroha sits next to her silently and let's Totosai speak.

"Moroha, I've been informed about a prestigious academy that want you to attend." He hands over the brochure of the place. "Sakura Hills Academy."

"Why is it that it wants me there? Is it because of my grades?" Moroha asks in concern.

"The thing is that Sakura Hills is a school that accepts anyone who is special in their own unique way." Totosai said it simply. Moroha doesn't seem too convinced.

"So are you saying that I'm one of those people who has a disability?" She asks bluntly. Kagome takes hold of her daughter's shoulder to calm her down.

"No. Not at all. You see, what you did a decade ago got their attention. They just had to wait until you turned fourteen that you're allowed to attend there." Totosai explains to her.

"What I did ten years ago? The case I helped mom and dad solved?" Moroha asks him.

"Yes. They find you rather intriguing to help you improve your education." Totosai nods to her.

"But what about here? Do they have the requirements that is necessary?" Moroha asks in uneasy tone.

"Moroha, this school did all it could for you since pre-school. But up until this point, they don't have anything else to teach you. You've proven to us how great your skills are. For this school will take you to the next level in your studies." Kagome advices her daughter calmly.

Moroha looks down with her bangs covering her eyes. "So then you don't want me here anymore." Kagome slightly opens her mouth with her eyes in shame. "Mr. Totosai. I think it's best that her father knows about this as well. He's at work and won't be home until later this evening." She decides to excuse herself and Moroha.

"I completely understand. Let me know what he thinks about this." Totosai bows and sits down in his leather seat. Kagome and Moroha leave the room.

As soon as they arrived home, Moroha goes into her bedroom to change into her short sleeved shirt and basketball shorts and heads down to the basement. Kagome can tell by the way Moroha remained silent throughout the rest of the afternoon. She knows that it's best to leave Moroha alone while she takes her frustration out in the basement. 'I just hope Inuyasha will help her out with this.' She said to herself as she begins to cook tonight's dinner.

Greetings.

I hope you enjoy the story so far. For the record, I would like to let you guys know that I only write stories for the fun of it. I'm not into the comics arts or illustrations. You should know that there are better writers than me who would be perfect for it.
