I know, I'm going to attempt this for a third time. I was reading the last version of this, and... I wasn't pleased with it. Even when it was completed, I wasn't pleased with it. It felt like it was produced by someone from Disney, and that's not what I was aiming for. At some point, I lost view of the way i wanted to make the story, I even made Jayden look weaker later in the story when he battled Maul and that shouldn't have happened, especially when he took on and defeated Anakin Skywalker.

So, I have deleted the old version and gotten to work on a new version, with some help and ideas from the author of Rise of the Wraith, DFM23, check out his story if you haven't read it. It's also a Ahsoka/OC story and it's a pretty damn good one if you ask me.

In this version, I intend to make sure Jayden goes through episodes of Season 1 and seasons 2 rather than just skipping over them and going to season 3 just to get the romance going. I'm going to take time to build that and develop the relationship between Jayden and Ahsoka, especially since both are enemies.

As for Jayden's appearance, he'll wear the Jedi Hunter armour from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Endor DLC but with Revan's mask covering his face. As for his Lightsaber, he's got a crossguard red Lightsaber like Kylo Ren's, but he'll switch it up later on and wield red and purple Lightsabers like Revan did.

Disclaimer: I do not own Star Wars: The Clone Wars. I only own the OC Jayden Shan.

On the planet of Serenno, a palace was located. But this wasn't just any palace, this palace was the home of the Sith Lord and Separatist Head of State Count Dooku. The palace is protected by battle droids, not that the Sith lord couldn't protect himself against any Republic forces, but Jedi were a whole different matter.

In Dooku's quarters, the Sith Lord stood before a young boy at 14 years old. Dooku activated his Lightsaber, the red blade humming as Dooku lowered it to the boy's right shoulder, not touching him.

"When I found you all those years ago, I saw what all Masters live to see. Raw, untamed power. And beyond that, something truly special... the potential of your bloodline." Dooku said as he finished anointing the boy. "Now, you have grown powerful under my teaching and proven yourself true to your ancestor. At last, the Dark Side is your ally. Henceforth, you shall be known as... Darth Khan."

"Thank you, my Master." Jayden bowed his head.

"Rise."

Dooku's Lightsaber deactivated as the boy stood, revealing he was indeed 14 years old with short black hair, pale yet fair skin and dark brown eyes. He was dressed in an attire with a red hood called the Jedi Hunter armour, with a black crossguard Lightsaber clipped to his belt. This was Jayden Shan, the secret Apprentice of Count Dooku, the descendant of the legendary Sith Lord... Darth Revan.

"What is thy bidding, my Master?" Jayden asked, looking at his Master.

"Your training is complete, my Apprentice." Dooku said as he turned and walked around to his desk, taking a seat as Jayden stood across from him with his hands clasped behind his back. "You are ready to take part in this war, and create a legend of Darth Khan."

"What would you have me do, Master?"

"The war rages in the far reaches of the galaxy. Planets rise and fall as Confederate and Republic forces clash. To win the battles there and push closer to the heart of the Republic, we require a means to move our armies with haste." Dooku explained. "We are going to force the hand of Jabba the Hutt to achieve this." Jayden blinked.

"The crime lord? Why him?"

"The senior of the Hutt families, his control of Hutt Space is unequivocal. Swaying him to our cause will be the key to using Hutt Space to move our armies more expediently." The Count leaned back in his seat. "The plan is complex with many moving parts. I will explain more in detail at a later time, right now I have a pressing task for you." Jayden grimaced.

"You want me to negotiate a deal with Jabba?"

"No. I want you to bring me his son."

Jayden blinked in surprise, but other than that he showed no other facial expression. But, it may be better than actually having to visit the crime lord and make a deal with him. Although a very, very small part of Jayden wished no harm or children involved in this war, he himself was technically still a child, even though he was a teenager. He was a youngling, which the Jedi would call him if he was one of them. He was thankful to the Force he wasn't.

"Forgive me for asking, Master, but... why his son?" Jayden asked, tilting his head. "Jabba is a crime lord very few dare to cross or even anger. If he knew we adducted his son, he would inform the Republic and it would merely push him to their side."

"Which is why we will make sure he does not know who is behind the abduction of his son." Dooku reasoned. "the details will come later. Bring me Jabba's son."

"Yes, my Master." Jayden bowed before he turned and walked away to take his personal starship, the Rogue Shadow.

Tatooine. Barren, inhospitable. Only a Hutt could see beauty and potential in something so ugly and cast-off.

Guiding the Rogue Shadow down through the atmosphere, Jayden engaged the stealth systems. A heavily modified Sith Interceptor, Rogue Shadow came equipped with a bevy of offensive and defensive options; including the ability to move like a shadow, undetected and unnoticed. Streaking across the pale sky as binary sunsets slowly moved towards an evening position, the young Sith apprentice followed the promptings of his navcom to a singular target among the dunes.

Dooku had been very forthcoming with information and data on where and when to find Rotta the Huttlet. His training would provide for the rest of the encounter. Jayden watched as pinpricks of gleaming metal took on shapes and forms more apparent than the sand dunes: a sail barge and two skiffs, hovering alongside as guards.

Triggering his targeting computer, Jayden waited for a single second before firing. Two forward cannons cut through the first skiff with a burst of crimson flare before the second was destroyed with equal precision. Locking the Shadow's navcom onto the signature of the sail barge, internal automated piloting tech took the controls as he left his seat.

Throwing his hood up while walking towards where the ramp would be, Jayden pressed a button to open it and waited until the ship hovered over the sail barge before he jumped and fell towards it, narrowing his eyes as he saw one of the pig guards Jabba usually has at his palace. Activating his Ligtsaber, he used the Force to fall faster and the Gamorrean didn't see it's death coming until it was too late.

Jayden slammed into the Gamorrean, his Lightsaber impaling it through the chest, the impact of the collision causing a small dent to occur under them. Jayden ripped his Lightsaber out and started deflecting blaster fire from several of Jabba's guards and hired thugs. They were said to be fearless and some of the most vile scum in the Galaxy, but they were nothing compared to the skills of a Sith Apprentice.

Striding fourth with ease, deflecting the blaster shots with his Lightsaber in one hand, Jayden used the Force with his other hand, either throwing the obstacles in his path out of his way, and ensuring they have a hard impact that kills them, or he Force pulls their weapons out of their hands, causing their eyes to widen before Jayden started to slash and slice through them.

One of them tried to run at him only to get lifted into the air while choking, then Jayden clenched his fist tightly and there was the sound of something being crushed and the thug went limp before being dropped while Jayden deflected a blaster shot without even looking, sending it back at the shooter.

The upper deck cleared, Jayden sliced open the nearest entry hatch before depositing himself into the lower decks of the sail barge. His eyes adjusted to the dark, revealing more guards; Nikto, Gammoreans, but above all his prize lay behind them. Rotta the Huttlet, nestled in a hover-carriage.

Raising a hand he pulled one of the Nikto towards him, warding off incoming blasterfire before sheathing his saber within the Nikto's gut. He threw the body aside and spun around, blocking another blaster bolt as he summoned the Force to propel him across the distance that lay between him and a Gammorean. Gliding across the floor with a single step, he swung his blade hard and cleaved neatly through layers of fat and muscle, bisecting the porcine guard and killing him instantly.

Lashing out with the Force again, he propelled another Nikto into one of the open windows before flicking his wrist and driving the shutter down hard on his exposed neck, beheading him cleanly. The final Gammorean fared no better, deft flicks of his saber severing his limbs before Jayden spun and decapitated the guard, letting his bulk fall oafishly to the floor as he approached the hover-carriage.

There was no one left to guard Rotta now. His prize was his.

Deactivating his Lightsaber, he approached the Huttlet who was crying out in fear, his cries only serving to annoy the Sith Apprentice who almost felt like Force choking the little slug to silence him but he stopped. A small part of him... remembering a much painful moment from years ago when he was almost in Rotta's position. A scared child. Alone. Defenceless...

Shutting the hover-carriage, Jayden used the Force to bring it with him as he pressed a button on his wrist device to call his ship back. The Huttlet continued to cry in fear and terror as the Rogue Shadow flew down and hovered beside the sail barge, the ramp opening so Jayden could Force jump over with the hover-carriage coming with him. Once the Sith Apprentice was inside, the ramp closed and the ship rose into the air as the sail barge continued to move forward... until it was blasted to pieces from the Rogue Shadow's weaponry.

His mission now done, Jayden contacted his Master who soon answered. "Master, the mission was a success. The Huttlet is ours."

So, this was to kick everything off. And I want to thank DFM23 for the help with this chapter and the idea of having Jayden be the one to kidnap Jabba's son. I'm going to try and make this story a little darker than the previous two versions, nothing to make it look like some Disney-made story.

Edited on 24/03/2023; After speaking with DFM23, I have made Jayden a Darth at the beginning rather than draw it out. The reason why is because me thinking the title being earned was something from the Old Republic games and era, but after Darth Bane's time and establishing the Rule of Two, Siths were given the title just like that. I mean, Sidious gave Anakin the name of Darth Vader just like that.
