Chapter 3: How Everything Started For Us?
Velvet's Revenge here with the 3rd chapter of "Love Always Conquers All" and I deeply apologise for the long wait for this chapter. It's because of dealing with a little writers block and some personal matters. Anyways, this will be a special chapter as it'll show how our pairing started their relationship and look into why Chiharu is behaving the way she is? Also, I fixed a few spelling and punctuation mistakes from the other chapters which I want to thank everyone who'd pointed them out to me. Finally, Tomoyo had arrived home and only after having an unexpected reunion with Chiharu. For a few moments, Tomoyo was still thinking about why Chiharu had behaved the way she did? Nothing came from it and like earlier pushed that feeling away. Suddenly, a memory popped into Tomoyo's head and it made her smile because it shows how everything started in-between her and Sakura.
(Flashback: Two Years Ago and Roppongi Hills)
The megacity of Tokyo is a place that never stops evolving and having gained a reputation for being one of the safest cities in the world. Anyways, the sun was rising over the skyline and located in the neighbourhood of Moto-Azabu, bordering nearby Roppongi Hills it wasn't the sight somebody wanted to see right now. This being a 16 year-old, female called Tomoyo Daidouji who'll be enrolling into Tomoeda Academy today.
Her family had moved from Kuriyama, Hokkaido and was all thanks to Sonomi Daidouji (Tomoyo's Mother) getting awarded a life-changing role from her workplace which she'd happily accepted. But by doing so it required the Daidouji's moving to Tokyo, making Tomoyo change schools mid-term and having to say goodbye to all of her friends.
Getting herself up because of the sunlight coming through her bedroom windows, Tomoyo stretched herself within bed and looked at the uniform which arrived from the academy yesterday. It consisted of a long white-sleeved shirt, a yellow and black stripped tie, a burgundy jumper, grey blazer and burgundy pleated skirt reaching the knees.
"Have you got yourself up yet? Don't want to be late for school today." Sonomi asked whiles standing outside her daughters bedroom and Tomoyo answered with "I'm about to get myself sorted now!"
"No problemo!" Sonomi shouted and walked away.
"Why do I have to wear a uniform? My previous school in Kuriyama never required us to wear one. Perhaps rearranging a few things around or adding some "Bits-n-Bobs" may improve the look of this uniform? It looks like there's only one way to be sure." Tomoyo doubting herself.
Afterwards, Tomoyo grabbed everything she needed and entered her bathroom to get herself all ready for school today. It consisted of having a hot shower, washing and blow-drying her hair, cleaning her teeth and putting her uniform which got annoying at times. Stepping out of her bathroom, Tomoyo looked at herself within the mirror and couldn't deny the uniform looked alright on her.
"It looks like adding some of my own personality to my uniform has actually worked out well." Tomoyo remarked after deciding on wearing a black belt and "LGBTQ" badge to improve her uniform.
"Have you finished getting yourself sorted?" Sonomi wondered and Tomoyo replied with "Just putting on my shoes now."
Looking at her wristwatch, Tomoyo realised it was 8:00am and school started at 9:30am. She quickly grabbed her satchel, waved goodbye to her mother and headed for Roppongi Station to catch her train (Oedo Line - Platform 2) to Hikarigaoka Station (End of Oedo Line) and walk the short distance needed to reach her destination.
"Am I going to like attending my new school? Who'll be friends with me? Will people be supportive of my sexuality and like what I stand for?" Tomoyo asked herself whiles continuing her journey.
(Time Skip: 9:26am and Tomoeda Academy)
The hallways of Tomoeda Academy were crowded and for Tomoyo being new here it wasn't surprising she's having difficulty finding her way around this place. Looking at her schedule and not paying attention to her surroundings, Tomoyo accidentally bumped into somebody and made the individual look back rather abruptly.
"I'm sorry for bumping into you!" Tomoyo apologised.
"It's alright! Are you the new student who's enrolling here today?" Mrs. Nagashima politely asked and Tomoyo nodded.
"Do you happen to be Mrs. Nagashima by any chance? Because on my schedule it says they're my homeroom teacher and I've been trying to find Room 308 which is proving troublesome." Tomoyo explained.
"Looks like you've found her! Anyways, if you would like to follow me because I'm heading to Room 308 right now?" Mrs. Nagashima requested and Tomoyo did exactly as instructed.
Meanwhile, Sakura Kinomoto was at her desk and reading a pamphlet about cheerleading which back within elementary was something she liked doing all the time. But after entering her middle school years, Sakura distanced herself from cheerleading altogether and found herself taking a liking for volleyball instead. Afterwards, she began hearing others talk about a new student enrolling at Tomoeda Academy today and leaving her confused because hardly anyone transfers during the year.
Behind her was Meiling Li and she to overheard everything about a new student enrolling at Tomoeda Academy. Many students and staff members will describe Meiling as being a troublemaker, barely getting passable grades, always manipulated others into doing her dirty work and leaving many wondering into how she's got any friends at all?
Finally, alongside her was Chiharu Mihara and knowing for having a reserved personality. However, this wouldn't stop her from making friends, always worked hard to get top grades for exams and joining the student council where Chiharu likes doing all of the paperwork required for scheduled gatherings or important meetings. Afterwards, something caught everyone's attention when the door opened and Mrs. Nagashima entered with somebody walking behind her.
Mrs. Nagashima spoke, "Can you all kindly take your seats? I've got something I'd like to say here, we've got a new student called Tomoyo Daidouji who'll be joining our group from today. Having moved here from Kuriyama, I want her to feel welcome at this academy and always being treated respectfully. Will you now take your seat?"
Watching as Tomoyo took her seat and well known for always being kind towards others at Tomoeda Academy, Sakura offered her hand as a goodwill gesture for Tomoyo to shake, "Hello! I'm Sakura Kinomoto and always happy to see new faces around here from time-to-time. Do you want to be friends with me and have lunch together?"
"Nice to meet you! I'm Tomoyo Daidouji and I like the idea of us being friends and having lunch together." Tomoyo happily acknowledged whiles shaking Sakura's hand.
(Time Skip: Two Months Later)
Two months had gone by and Tomoyo was loving her time at Tomoeda Academy. During those months, she'd been introduced to Sakura's friends who befriended her instantly, finds it much easier to navigate herself around the school now and joined the academics club all because of her competitive nature. Meanwhile, something was playing heavily on Tomoyo's mind and from her point-of-view needed to tell someone about it rather urgently. Heading towards Room 308, she'd quickly saw Chiharu putting books into her locker and approached her.
"Do you mind if I talked to you? Wondering if you'll be able to help me with something that's potentially lifechanging for me?" Tomoyo asked and Chiharu replied with "What do you need help with?"
"What if I told you that I've falling in love with someone we know?" Tomoyo explained.
That shocking revelation made Chiharu blush slightly and her heartbeat to increase rapidly. Because when she saw Tomoyo for the first time, it felt like the women of her dreams had revealed themselves only for her. However, she's never been giving the chance to tell Tomoyo her feelings because it'll be very strange to walk up to somebody you hardly know and say towards them "I love you! Would you like to go out with me?" Unsurprisingly, this wouldn't stop Chiharu from trying and now felt like Tomoyo knows her secret already.
"Who you falling in love with?" Chiharu wondered.
"I'm in love with our friend Sakura Kinomoto! Just feels like we're both destined to be together." Tomoyo answered feeling a huge weight has now been lifted off her shoulders. But after answering her friends question, started noticing Chiharu was looking somewhat different from before and asked "Are you feeling okay?" towards her.
"Yeah! Would you excuse me?" Chiharu requested.
Afterwards, Chiharu walked away and looked back to see Tomoyo walking in the opposite direction. After seeing her leave, Chiharu's heart started breaking and felt like she's lost the chance to tell Tomoyo her feelings. Unsurprisingly, hatred started to awake within Chiharu's body and feeling nothing but negativity towards her so-called friends, thinking they've all betrayed her and making her want vengeance. After that fateful day, Chiharu severed ties to everyone and moved back to Toyokawa never to be seen again until tonight's reunion.
(Time Skip: One Week Later and Hikarigaoka Park)
An entire week had passed and shock was still on everyone's mind when they discovered Chiharu had disenrolled from Tomoeda Academy and moved back to Toyokawa for undisclosed reasons. Meanwhile, school had ended for the day and Tomoyo was having a walk around Hikarigaoka Park until noticing Sakura sitting on a bench all by herself and looking like something was bothering her immensely.
"What are you doing out here?" Tomoyo questioned.
Sakura looked up and hadn't even realised Tomoyo was approaching her from behind, "Oh, hello! Just got something playing on my mind."
"What's on your mind?" Tomoyo enquired.
"How do I go explaining this? I've falling in love with somebody and terrified on what they'll think of me if I told them how I felt about them?" Sakura explained towards her friend.
"Don't you believe in coincidences? Because I'm suffering from this problem as well! Before saying anything else to me, would it be alright if I asked who this somebody is exactly?" Tomoyo wondered and hoping Sakura will answer her question.
"Do you really want to know? Are you prepared for what I'm about to say? The person I've falling in love with is you." Sakura answered and was expecting her world to come tumbling down.
"Are you saying "You're falling in love with me!" towards me?" Tomoyo enquired and Sakura nodded for an answer.
Within a few seconds, Tomoyo grabbed Sakura's face and passionately kissed her with everything she could muster. This caused Sakura's eyes to widen and didn't think of resisting back as from her point-of-view it felt bloody spectacular. Afterwards, they separated and smiled knowing it's the start of a new chapter within their lives.
"Do you want to be my girlfriend?" Tomoyo asked and Sakura nodded knowing nothing would be better than being her girlfriend.
Afterwards, Tomoyo proudly offered Sakura her hand, which she grabbed and together knew they're now in a relationship. What they failed to realise was Meiling and Akiho Shinomoto - one of her associates, had been watching from afar. Meiling was awestruck by what she's just witnessed right in front of her, two people she hates becoming lovers and knew something needed to be done to separate them. However, Akiho didn't have any problems with them being together and wanted them to be successful. But knew deep-down not to judge Meiling's decisions out of fear and retaliation from her.
(End Flashback)
Tomoyo smiled and felt grateful to have those memories because it shows the early events of when she first moved to Tokyo a few years ago. Remembering when she'd started at Tomoeda Academy and making new friends or enemies along the way. Also, it helped her to remember on how she and Sakura began their relationship and now they're both engaged. Finally, Tomoyo decided on going to sleep because today had been a real endurance and was expecting many more like it.
What'd you all think? This chapter proved a little difficult to write because of all the different memories taking place. Also, if anybody is wondering who Mrs. Nagashima is?
