Response to questions and statements:
-TK0421: Exactly, strengthen the Empire as much as she can via industrial might, Imperial Dreadnaughts, fleets, armies, propaganda and public relations etc. Her focus being on the restoration of the Empire, not necessary the destruction of the Republic.
-Guest: Honestly, I probably won't do one as I don't know anything about madness combat story.
-NewGuest123: Definitely, no question. They just didn't admit it in the history books to help save face when the humans put up a harder fight than they were expecting.
-Glad you enjoyed that excerpt. Hope you enjoy this one too!
-KingTheon722: All your ideas sound awesome, dude. Agree with everything you said.
-KingDiamond55: Essentially, yeah. They would be separate for the most part, but do their best to keep in touch and work together when needed. They would be grateful to have a fellow Spartan in the same boat as them and would be rather close with one another.
-By the way, what do you think would be a good name for the cult. Having trouble of thinking of one tbh. Also, trying to write a prayer that Mae gives. What do you think? Please keep in mind I am still working on it.
" Oh Blessed Spartan. Please hear your servants pleas.
For I live by the will of yours.
If you hear this prayer of mine. Bless me.
Grant me strength and guidance in the upcoming journey.
With your wrath. Allow me to smite the enemies of man.
Be the fire in my heart as I follow your example.
Let me bring ruin to those who defy you. And bring solace to those that live under your gaze.
Be my light through the dark times.
Be the fire in my heart.
For my faith, is my shield."
Again, work in progress. But do feel free to tell me what you think
-FakeDaVinci: Yeah, I remember reading that a while back. From what I remember, it was pretty decent. Wish it continued,.
-Guest: Probably not, as I'm not really a fan of team fortress 2. Sorry about that.
Death Korps of Justice: Salvation (AU of Lord-of-Change's Death Korps of Justice fanfic snippet 2)
Summary: In an alternate universe, humanity lies under siege by the forces of chaos. With millions dead and the heroes unable to stem the tide, things begin to look bleak. However, the battle soon draws his Majesty's attention, thanks to the presence of one of His faithful. With it, he sends his forces to crush the servants of the Dark gods and answer his most faithful's prayers.
Krieg felt like his knees were about to give out the moment he stepped through the portal that Saint Celestine had came through. With his heart beating faster than it has ever had before and he began feeling as if he was about to faint at any moment.
For he was on Holy Terra.
Not Earth, were the ones would called themselves heroes resided in the early third millennium.
No.
He was on the Holy Terra he was raised being taught about. The very cradle of Mankind the heart of His Majesty's most glorious Imperium of Man.
But it that wasn't enough, he was in the Imperial Palace itself. With a Custodes standing right in front of him, he's gaze on him the moment he stepped through the portal.
"Follow me." The towering man in golden armor ordered. He's voice radiating authority and power as he turned down the nearby corridor.
He did not turn back to Keled, who had to stain his legs to keep up with the giants long strides. Still, Keled took a few moments to marvel at the Master of Mankind's residence. How beautiful it all was and feeling so blessed that he, a normal feeling and most likely the first ever member of the Death Korps of Krieg, to ever be allowed to step inside the Emperor's domain.
Not to mention that he was about to have an audience with the Emperor himself. If the words of Saint Celestine was to be believed.
Finally, after several minutes of walking. They cam across a set of massive doors guarded by a dozen or more Custodes. None of whom moved at all or even reacted to his presence in any way.
Yet somehow, Krieg had a feeling that they were watching him all the same. And were prepared at a moment's moments if need be.
The custodian that had escorted him stepped off to the side once they reached the doors. Giving Krieg an expectant look which was quite a contrast to the one Krieg had under his gasmask. Before the Kriegsman had the chance to ask anything, the gate ahead of him opened. Which lead down another corridor that was empty.
"His Majesty is through there." The custodes said as Krieg remained too awestruck to formulate a reply. "He has commanded us to stand outside. For his words are for alone."
A wave of fear and anxiety flowed through Krieg as the Emperor's bodyguard finished as he continued staring at the passage.
"Do you guys think Krieg's ok?" Miss Martian asked the team that stood outside the rift being guarded by two flaming giants and a woman outfitted in golden armor with wings. All three of whom ignored the team along with Ravager and Deathstroke who had returned several minutes ago.
"He can take care of himself." Aqualad replied. His eyes never leaving the portal right in the middle of the intersection. " I'm more curious as to who these people are."
"Well, Krieg seems to have an idea." Robin said from where he sat. Taking a gulp of water from his canteen. "He called the winged woman there "Saint Celestine" and he seemed to recognized who those giants were."
"Maybe they serve that Emperor of his." Artemis suggested. "I think I heard Celestine saying that the Emperor wished to speak with him."
"Wonder what that could be about." Superboy mused as he continued washing all the blood he got over himself from the latest battle.
"Maybe we should go." Wally proposed. "I say we see this Emperor of his for ourselves."
"Yeah, I don't think they would like that very much." Said Artemis. As all three guardians of the gate turned their eyes to stare at them with a dangerous look.
Suddenly, movement appeared in the rift, prompting everyone to stare back at it. After a few seconds of intense silence, Krieg walked back through the gate.
While the team were somewhat glad to see that Krieg was alright, they suddenly noticed something different and strange about him. His armor looked to be repaired and seemed to emit power to all who looked at it.
Also, was he... glowing?
Without warning, a pair of golden wings sprouted from behind him with a bright flash of light that caused nearly blinded everyone who looked. When the team recovered from the sudden flare. They saw Krieg with the same kind of magnificence and power as the aforementioned Saint Celestine. Who had a small smile on her face as she got down on one knee and slightly lower her head, with armored super humans bending the knee as well.
Suddenly, many more Space Marines of the Legion of the Damned appeared from the right, some of whom in Terminator and Dreadnaught armor bowed before the newest saint of the Emperor of Mankind.
Krieg ignored the gaped looks of his former team. As he was still feeling reinvigorated with the conversation he just had with the Emperor.
Author's note: So, yeah. Krieg becoming an Imperial Saint, bet you didn't see that coming. That's it for now. Hope you all enjoyed this new snippet of mine. Once again, thank you for taking the time to check out the stuff my brain manages to generate.
Take care, guys, and I will see you all next time. And always remember... stay frosty, gents.
