Lilly slowly opened her eyes, letting out a groan as she stood up. Her legs gave out immediately causing her to fall back down. Suddenly she hears another groan beside her. She looks over to see her mate. "Garth!" Lilly shouted as she ran to him and hugged him tight.

" I'm glad you're ok too Hun" Garth stated and hugged his mate. Do you know where we are, obviously we are in some type of cage, but where?" Garth stated looking around.

Lilly sat in silence for a bit before looking back up, tears begging to fall from her eyes. "Garth, I'm so sorry. This is all my fault" she stated not able to look Garth in the eyes

Garth looks at her with a very confused look on his face "how is any of this your fault Lilly. None of this is your fault"

Lilly sobbed as she spoke " yes it is! if I wasn't such a freak… a monster then we wouldn't be in this mess".

Garth hugged Lilly tighter "LOOK AT ME LILLY you are the most beautiful,loving, caring,and sympathetic Wolf I know, and I am proud to be married to you. I love you no matter what!"

Lilly hugged Garth tight and sobbed " I love you so much, and thank you so much for protecting me". the two wolves then heard slow footsteps in front of them.

"I see you two are finally awake" Truent walked up to the cage bars and smiled at the two wolves inside. Lilly and Garth Glared their gaze at Truent. Garth starred in rage while Lilly glared with fear in her eyes. "Tough crowd I suppose" Truent stated and chuckled to himself.

"Why are you doing this!" Lilly walked closer to the cage bars.

"I told you why earlier, you wouldn't understand anyways" Truent stated turning back to face Lilly

"You didn't explain to me why at all, you mentioned justice earlier, what type of justice is this?! Hurting innocent wolves, tearing them away from their family?! That is not justice, it is cruelty!" Lilly challenged Truent with her speech.

Truent grunted and turned towards her " You wouldn't understand our justice at all! This is necessary for the greater good. We save and help other dimensions from conflict, poverty, and corruption. This includes Midhaze. Truent stared at Lilly, she was able to see nothing in the abyss of his sunglasses "The Snowflower princess may not be around anymore in person but she survives through you in spirit, and her sins are beyond imaginable, I as a operative of the Hunters will make sure her evil will never come to fruition again!"

"Whatever "sins" this Snowflower princess committed has nothing to do with Garth or I, Just leave us alone" Lilly stated challenging Truent once more

"Like I already explained, this is all necessary for the greater good" Truent stated matter of factly

"You are starting to sound like the very corruption and conflict you're trying to prevent' Lilly stated bitterly

Suddenly Truent punches one of the cage bars causing Lilly to yelp and fall backwards "Enough of this crap. I would like to get started. My boss thinks it would be a good idea to draw out your inner power before we begin, y'know kinda like a test run. So go ahead bring out that latent potential"

Lilly looked away with a worried expression on her face "I-I don't know how, hell I just found out about all of this recently!"

Truent smiled rubbing the cage bars slowly "don't worry, I have a plan in place just for this scenario"

Lilly backed up a bit "what do you mean…what are you going to do to me"

Truent came into the cage with Lilly and Garth, Garth immediately began growling. Truent began to speak in a baby-like condescending tone " oh don't worry my little omega I'm not going to do anything to you". Truent suddenly ran to Garth at full speed striking him in the stomach. Garth's eyes went wide as the wind was knocked out of him. "I'm gonna do something to him!" he remarked cold heartedly.

Before Garth could recover Truent grabbed Garth by the neck and lifted him up landing repeated blows against Garth. Garth groaned, not able to catch his breath, his eyes wide and tears flowing out onto his cheeks.

"Garth!" Lilly cried out not knowing what to do.

Truent looks the omega in her eyes " This wouldn't be happening if you would just unleash your power.

Tears began to flow from Lilly's eyes " I'm sorry Garth, I..I don't know how, I-I Don't know what to do!"

Garth opened one of his eyes and looked at Lilly, Even in a situation like this Garth eyes were full of love and compassion for his mate " I-It's ok Lilly I'll be ok", Seeing this made Lilly's eye flow with even more tears. Garth's eyes went wide as he coughed up blood.

Truent threw Garth's body to the side as he landed on the floor and laid limply.

"G-Garth" Lilly barely managed to get the words out of her throat, her heart was beating out of her chest as she just stared at Garth's limp body.

"Well that didn't last long, maybe the intel was wrong. Maybe the Phoenixflame prince's power isn't inside you. No matter."

Lilly's eyes went wide, her pupils shrunk as the emotions in her ran wild "GARTH!" she screamed at the top of her lungs, followed by a blood curdling scream of anguish.

Truent turned back to face Lilly and what he saw amazed him. Lilly stared at him, her teeth bared and a deep growl of hatred escaped her lungs. A violet aura surrounded the wolf. Tears flowed down her face as she started burning daggers into Truent. Truent smiled wide " HaHa! This is it!"

"You" Lily said walking closer " You will pay for hurting him ,do you hear me!"
