"Ugh," said Clark as he began to wake up.

"Easy, Clark," said the scientist who rushed over to check on him and to stop him from getting out of bed.

"You have been out for a few hours," he said while checking Clark's eyes by shining a light into them.

"What happened to all of us?" asked Clark once he noticed that he and some others were in the lab, all of them laying in medical beds.

"Turns out the gas does have an effect on humans," said the scientist.

"How bad is it?" asked Clark.

"You're all cured," said the scientist with a smile as he backed away from Clark's bed a little.

"What?" asked a surprised Clark.

"When we had tested it we had it interact with blood outside of the body in a controlled setting and there was no reaction, the virus had remained in the blood," said the scientist.

"But when it came to your exposure outside, it worked, we have a cure for the living," he said.

"I… I can't believe it," said Clark before he started to laugh.

"Will you please keep it down?" asked Zeek from the bed next to his.

"Did you hear all of that?" asked Clark.

"Yeah, all I can say is that it's about time," said Zeek with a smile.

"Now we just need to make large amounts and release it everywhere, once people stop turning into walkers we may start seeing a slow down in their numbers," said Clark.

"That will take time and more manpower than what we currently have though," said the scientist.

"We can see if Daryl's people can help us," said Suzie from a bed across the room.

"Good idea," said Clark.

"Well, that 'good idea,' will have to wait a few months so we can see how well this works out for all of you and to make sure that there aren't any lingering side effects," said the scientist before leaving.

"That figures," said the three.
