Totally Spies: Return Of Geraldine (Rewrite)

Chapter 1

AN: I always thought that Return Of Geraldine was by far one of the dumbest TS episodes of the whole series. So I decided to try my hand at writing my own version of said season 5 episode. I hope I do well at this since this is my first time rewriting an episode.

It was the middle of the night at the University of Malibu. Inside a dark dorm room, Blaine, a young man with slightly pointed black hair, was sitting at his laptop, with a small headset piece around his right ear. It sounded like he was talking to someone over his laptop.

An older sounding female voice came from said laptop, "I trust Operation: Spy Elimination has been successfully completed."

Blaine hesitated slightly before speaking, "As of this morning, Clover is officially a non-factor."

"Good, because I was beginning to wonder if I was ever going to hear from you Blaine," the other figure said suspiciously.

"Just, uh… took a little longer than expected," Blaine said as he sweat a little bit.

"In that case, it's been a pleasure working with you," the mysterious figure said before cutting off the call.

After that, Blaine noticed a small tracer device beeping next to his laptop.

"Gotcha! Now it's time for a little elimination mission of my own," Blaine said with a determined smirk.

About a few days prior, Blaine was hired by an anonymous employer to knock off WOOHP spy Clover Ewing, who Blaine had also incidentally fallen in love with. At first, Blaine was led to believe that Clover was evil, but thanks to her two best friends, Sam and Alex, and their boss Jerry Lewis, Blaine had discovered that he had been misled. Now he was determined more than ever to find out who had hired him to off his girlfriend and bring his mystery employer to justice. And he had just the way to do that.

It was 9:30 AM as the sun was shining over the Clover, Sam and Alex's penthouse.

Sam and Alex were sitting together in the living room of their penthouse.

"It says to do fifty reps, but I'm not sure what to do fifty reps of," Alex complained.

"You think you've got it tough?" Sam spoke. "I'm writing an essay comparing the modern-day nation state with the multi-region empire!"

"Sounds like we're both in trouble!" Alex remarked.

"Hi, girls," Clover's tired voice came.

Sam looked in shock to see Clover walk into their room with bags under her eyes and eating a tub of ice-cream.

"Speaking of trouble…" Sam commented.

"Day-old sweats, ice-cream, bummed-out tude…" Sam pieced these three things together as she addressed Clover concerningly. "Are you and Blaine headed for splits-ville?!"

"Or are you bummed out because Jerry hasn't figured out who hired your boyfriend to take you out?" Alex inquired.

"No and no," Clover said. "I'm bummed because Blaine is off on a top-secret mission and I miss him so much right now."

"What kind of mission?" Sam asked curiously.

Clover sighed, "I already tried asking him, but he wouldn't tell me. Dating a fellow spy is like… so trying."

As Clover was complaining, she accidentally flicked some of her ice-cream onto Alex's foot.

"Living with one is certainly no picnic either," Alex said sarcastically.

"I know! Why don't you do something fun?" Sam suggested. "Something to get you out of the dorm for a bit."

"Yeah, doing some of your fave things is bound to cheer you up," Alex added.

"You're right!" Clover beamed. "I'll start with a visit to my fave boutique, stop for a bite at the veg-out and finish with a relaxing massage."

"Operation: Self-love is officially commenced!" Clover said, before she suddenly frowned. "Except it can't start without my purse."

"It's gotta be around here somewhere," Clover continued searching around.

Suddenly, the three spies soon took notice of a small rumbling sound coming from a fishtank nearby. They also noticed bubbles in the fish tank.

"A bubbling fish tank?" Alex said in surprise. "That's way weird."

"We don't even own a fish tank," Sam added in confusion.

"That's a shame, because fish can be very soothing," Jerry's voice suddenly came from the tank.

"Jerry?!" the three spies said in shock.

Suddenly, the fish-tank violently opened and sucked the three girls in through it before they went through a secret slide.

"Is it just me or are these WOOHPings getting weirder and weirder?!" Clover complained.

Soon the three spies landed in Jerry's office.

"Not to mention, wetter and wetter!" Sam, who was soaking wet, complained before small towels landed on each of the girls' heads.

"What's the big emergency, Jerr?" Alex inquired.

"I called you here for an update on who hired Blaine to eliminate Clover," Jerry informed the girls.

Clover, Sam and Alex listened in anticipation.

"Unfortunately, we haven't uncovered any leads just yet," Jerry spoke.

"Hello?! You sucked us through a grimy fish-tank to tell us that?!" Clover said in an irate voice.

"No," Jerry said simply. "I also wanted to tell you that I'm worried that Blaine's mystery employer might be watching your every move."

Clover had a very worried look on her face.

"This must be how celebrities feel about being stalked by the paparazzi," she said nervously.

"In that case, you better load her up with some gear, Jerr," Sam spoke up.

"Indeed," Jerry agreed.

After Jerry had supplied Clover with gadgets, he was about to press the button to WOOHP them out of his office.

"Goodbye, girls," he said simply.

"Wait!" Alex suddenly shouted.

"What is it, Alex?" Jerry asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Maybe Sammy and I should go with Clover into the city," Alex suggested. "If Blaine's mystery employer really is watching our every move, we might need to be there to protect Clover just in case."

"Yeah…" Sam agreed. "I think you just might be right Alex."

"I hope you don't mind if we come with you, Clover," Alex said in a serious voice.

"Are you kidding?!" Clover beamed. "Operation: Self-love can only be made better with my two best friends!"

Clover gave her two best friends a hug as they smiled.

"In that case, I better load you two with some gadgets as well," Jerry said.

As soon as he supplied Sam and Alex with their gadgets, he pressed the button which sent the girls flying through the floor and out of his office.

To be continued…

AN: Well, how am I doing so far? As you probably remember in the actual episode, Sam and Alex didn't go with Clover for 'Operation: Self-love which led to the series of unfortunate events surrounding Clover later on. I think you'll find that in this story, Sam and Alex deciding to go with Clover will make a bigger difference.
