A/N: Hello, all. I just learned earlier, better or worse, that according to Warner Bros., Tom and Jerry are officially Looney Tunes now. Don't know for sure if it's real or not. Either way, I was planning to post this story to celebrate its 21st Anniversary, anyway. Anyhoo, this would be how it might've gone if Steven Spielberg lent a hand in making the movie's production not so troubled. Enjoy. :)
Looney Tunes: Back in Action
Play Tom Jones and the Flaming Lips Music: "Duck Dodgers of the 24 1/2 Century"
First, a picture of the Warner Bros. Studios in Burbank was seen with a gold tint, and rippled slowly before rotating to reveal itself as the WB shield over the colored rings background, in which the rings started out purple further away but turn brighter and blue in color getting closer to the center, which has a black circle in it (with the text on the banner now set in Charter Bold). The shield continued to rotate as it zoomed out to its usual position, with the word "Presents" just underneath before the logo faded to black.
Next, there was a close-up of the moon, which zoomed backward until it was on the left side of the screen. Right before the moon stopped in its place, the silhouette of a young boy on a bicycle with an alien in its basket (Elliott and E.T. from E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial) slowly flew in front of the moon from the left side of the moon's border, stopping in the middle (even when the bicycle stopped, the wheels continued to move). At the same time, two orange/blue stripes move in from both sides of the screen. The stripe that came in from the bottom left side placed itself right underneath the moon, while the stripe that came in from the top right side placed itself near the top of the moon (this created a small space to the right of the moon bordered by the stripes on the top and the bottom). When the moon and stripes were in place, the word "AMBLIN" (in Optima) appeared in a strange fade-in (shadows formed the blue letters one at a time, referred to as a "shadow wipe"/"refracting prism"). When the word "AMBLIN" was finally revealed, the wheels began to stop and smaller orange text appeared both above the moon and first border (the word "AN" in Decotura) and below the bottom orange/blue lines that read "ENTERTAINMENT" in spaced out letters to fit the width of the bottom line and a thin font with "PRODUCTION" appearing below "ENTERTAINMENT" (also in Decotura).
Frozen in a time and space device
But how would the universe survive?
It then opens in a blank background and a dark blue floor with light blue mist hovering over it. There appeared to be a silhouette of Bugs Bunny eating his carrot in his hole on the ground before he then noticed a rifle being aimed at him by a silhouetted Elmer Fudd, out of which a bullet was fired as the bunny ducked in time, revealing the two two words in a silver outline and a top black and bottom red color.
BRENDAN FRASER
The bullet then zoomed, passing by a silhouetted Daffy Duck, who was placing a Rabbit Season sign on a big tree when the bullet passed him, distracting him for a moment as he looked away for a moment as two more words appeared from the bullet trail.
JENNA ELFMAN
The bullet then made contact with a big rock, not that it did much (for now…) as Wile E. was in the middle of getting the match ready to light the dynamite string when a bullet grazed the match in hitting the big rock, lighting it up. Startled and surprised by this as he is, the coyote just shrugged and then lit up the long string, causing it to burn out toward the right side of the screen as the bullet's speed also revealed the following words with the actor's name having a silver outline and a black and red color. But it was right then that Road Runner turned up behind Wile E. and beeped, making the coyote jump high up into the air in fright.

For long they were out of luck
But now, they're saved by a duck
It then cut to a string of dynamite getting burned as nearby, silhouettes of Sylvester and Tweety, who was swinging in his bird swing, were shown as the former reached for the bird in the cage only to hear Wile E. landing on the ground face first and turn to see him long enough for the bird to grab a bowling ball and drop it onto Sylvester, knocking him out.

Next, the silhouette Dr. Frankenbeans was shown tending to that of his creation, Gossamer, by means of brushing his fur. It was then that both silhouettes noticed the dynamite string getting burned out and became curious about it for a moment as the string even seemingly lit up the two words on which it rested on.
JOAN CUSACK
After that, Crusher's silhouette was seen in the wrestling ring, doing his usual boxing fight when he heard the sizzle and turned to see the dynamite string getting burnt away, leaving him curious, even as he was pulverizing his scrawny as two more words were floating in the air, albeit with flashing light bulbs on the metallic outline.

It then cut to Bugs' silhouette, who finally gets revealed as Bugs ate his carrot, leaning against the big "M" with his left hand on it as his own name hovered near him.
BUGS BUNNY
Oh, but he is the duck of persuasion
Then, it cut to a tree which Daffy was standing on by a branch, which was aimed directly above Bugs. He then mischievously got out a saw blade and started sawing it off as his own name hovered near him as well.
DAFFY DUCK
But as soon as the branch was sawed off it was the tree that started to fall, taking Daffy with it before it crashed, making Bugs wince before turning in worry.
All female resistance soon dissolves
Daffy then recovered as he got up, looking comically dazed before shaking his head and turning just in time to see Tom and Jerry running as the former was trying to catch the latter with a fly swatter.
TOM and JERRY
Then, the mouse eventually caught up to Robyn, jumping up to her hand with Tom, having noticed this, screeching to a halt as Robyn glared and wagged her finger at the cat, who put down the fly swatter with a nervous grin.

A definite duck beyond all temptation
It was that the trio, Bugs, and Daffy noticed the dynamite string getting burnt in a sort of trail. When they noticed, they all followed it through the apparent entrance of a maze as two words flashed above the entrance.
HEATHER LOCKLEAR
Once inside, the 5 cartoon characters all noticed a heavy lever for which the power was off, tied up with dynamite string. And above said lever was a label that had 6 words inscribed on it.
and STEVE MARTIN as Mr. Chairman
Ensuring the universe still revolves
Once the string was burnt away, the lever went down and turned the power on as the burning string had the gang scatter in different directions. From there, a series of credits were shown as each toon (especially one duo) goes through 4 different spots in an apparent maze of memories. For Daffy's case, he spotted each scene from his two shorts, "The High and the Flighty" and "A Star is Bored" in the sides of a big metallic "L" and "O" respectively in which while the first clip showed Daffy counting money (much to the Duck's pleasure), the second showed Daffy falling along with the tree after the branch with Bugs on it was sawed off (much to the duck's displeasure).

Space is such a lonely place to be stuck
"You're dessspicable..!", Daffy glared to Bugs from the 2nd clip whilst walking away from said 2nd clip.
As for Bugs, he spotted each scene from his most favorable shorts in the following letters: "Knightly Knight Bugs" for the big "O", "Devil May Hare" for the big "N", "Carrotblanca" for the big "Y", and"Rabbit Fire" for the big "T".

But it's not lonely for this duck
"Ain't I a stinker?", Bugs said to himself.
Meanwhile, Tom and Jerry found a few clips from each of their shorts (1 for each cartoon) in letters "U", "N", and "E": "The Yankee Doodle Mouse", "The Cat Concerto", and "The Two Mouseketeers". In fact, when it came to the 3rd Tom and Jerry cartoon shown, Tom winced from seeing himself get poked in the butt with a thin sword by Tuffy (back then, he was known as Nibbles) as Jerry laughed from seeing this, much to Tom's annoyance.

As for Robyn, she came across a letter "S" and, from its sides, memorable moments with her, Tom, and Jerry with one side showing how they first met and the other side showing her, Tom, and Jerry riding on a boat.

Fortunately, Tom noticed a stick of dynamite just near one of the corners of the center of the maze and pulled it out with Bugs digging a hole and then grabbing the other 3 as Tom brought it to Elmer and Yosemite Sam as an aerial view of the center was shown with the last pair of credits shown.

Then, Bugs brought the other three to Sam just as Tom brought the one to Elmer, in which he, Sam, and Taz all had shocked looks of realization as the dynamite sticks finally went toward the red detonative packages.

Then, the dynamite exploded in a colorful display like fireworks around the center of the maze despite the mushroom cloud explosion at the exact center which not only launched all three into the air and soaring away like rockets, but also revealed a hole with colored rings at the bottom. Eager to get out, Tom, Jerry, and Robyn all jumped in first with Bigs and Daffy following after them while jumping in as well. When they did, the 11 letters from before all landed toward the colored rings, only landing on the background as if it were a portrait, not to mention a metal plate with three words spray painted on it in a military-like font just below the 2nd word, forming the movie's title.

But a stray stick of dynamite has also landed on the background, still lit up. After a moment, it exploded, blasting both the words and the plate away.

Chapter 1: Daffy Gets the Boot
The smoke then disappeared to show a city similar to Gotham City, but with a dark blue and bright purple sky. Then, it went down toward City Hall where nearby, a bunch of citizens were evacuating and fleeing in panic as a couple of metallic tentacles attacked, causing mayhem just as 2 police cars appeared, one of which had Porky Pig and Speedy Gonzales inside while another had Tom and Jerry in it, arrived with Porky speaking over his walkie-talkie.
"Send b-b-b-backup!", Porky urged.
Then, as the smoke cleared, a large piano pipe organ emerged not only with numerous hands, but also just as many metallic tentacles. And who should be at the seat, playing Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor but Elmer Fudd himself, his skin all white with orange hair and a villainous jester outfit, yet. He stopped playing for a moment as he then turned to the audience.
"Shhh. Be vewy, vewy qwiet. I'm on a wiotous wampage.", Elmer whispered as though he was hunting "wabbits" as usual, but a tad more sinister.
He then laughed sinisterly as he continued playing Tocatta and Fugue in D Minor where he left off as the destruction continued, even grabbing Bugs Bunny and a car along the way. But little did he know that high on the rooftop was a lone duck in a purple costume with a dark purple cape and a dark purple utility belt.
"Not if I have anything to say about it, evil-doer.", the duck spoke.
Then, he jumped off the rooftop and glided across the city just as the four police animals saw him.
"Look! Look! Up in the sky.", Speedy said.
"That's a bird!", Tom shouted.
"It's a-a-a plane!", Porky added as Jerry looked through his binoculars and saw Daffy winking as he glided downwards.
"Nah, he's definitely a bird.", Jerry said.
Daffy then landed in front of the villainous jester-dressed music maestro.
"Prepare to suffer the righteous fury of my oversized foam latex muscles. The girls love 'em.", the duck warned, bouncing his eyebrows a little at the last sentence.
But the villain paid no mind.
"Cwush!", Elmer shouted, pressing his fingers on the keyboard. "Destwoy!"
He pressed his fingers again, but harder, causing the tentacles to target him instead. Of course, Daffy quickly dodged them. But after that, just as one of them was about to grab him, vines suddenly erupted from the ground and trapped the tentacle. Then, several more vines appeared from below and grabbed another. Before anyone knew it, a whole bundle of vines rose from the ground. And on top of it was none other than Sage Flora, a young superheroine with short, slightly curved golden blonde hair shown with side swept bangs and a red hairband, light green skin, pink lips and beautiful blue eyes wearing a leafy green dress.
"Oh, cwud.", Elmer groaned.
"Ready to take the shot, Stupor Duck?", Sage asked.
"As always, Sage Flora.", Daffy replied before then focusing his lens toward a weak point of the machine: an unattended microchip panel, and with an open lid, yet.
He then plucked out one of his tail fathers and tossed it toward the weak point, making Elmer gasp as he turned to see the weak point struck.
"Uh-oh…", Elmer groaned before the machine began to conk out and eventually explode as Daffy was seen charging out toward the screen as he ran until…
"Hold on!"
"'Hold on'?", Daffy puzzled before it went back to the Warner Bros. Studio.
"What do you mean 'hold on'?!", Daffy reacted.
"Just a minute, there!", one of the company's CEOs named Harry Warner responded.
"But don't you want to see the rest of my righteous fury, Bros. Warner? It's really righteous.", Daffy assured.
"Righteous? You killed Elmer!", Harry Warner retorted.
"You can't kill Elmer.", another named Albert Warner added.
"Oh, he comes back from the dead later. Horribly scarred and even more insane. Kids love it.", Daffy assured.
But apparently, it did not sit well with Elmer. At all.
"I don't wanna pway a cwazy cwown. I'm afwaid of cwowns.", Elmer said before sobbing loudly, making the two Warner Brothers and a woman in a pink shirt uncomfortable, not to mention uneased, much to Daffy's chagrin, no one knowing that a certain, little, brown mouse ran in.
"Hmph. Well. I guess we know what 65 years of loyal service is worth in this town!", Daffy said, affronted, as he put down the script.
Suddenly, a blue cat burst in through the window and landed on the table, clutching the mouse in his paws. He gave an evil laugh in triumph, baring his fangs. Of course, not even that deterred the mouse, worried as he is. Instead, he plucked one of his whiskers off, making the cat scream in pain and release Jerry, who landed back on the table. This spurred the cat into boiling up like a tea kettle as his face turned red from bottom to top until steam blew out and his red face went to normal again. But little did Tom and Jerry know that a girl with golden blonde hair with a red hairband, fair skin, pink lips, beautiful blue eyes, a red shirt with white sleeves, white socks, blue and white shoes and light blue pants named Robyn Starling came in and saw what was going on with a gasp.
"Tom! Jerry! No!", Robyn shouted.
But her plea fell on deaf ears. The chase had already started. There was a big cloud on the table with Tom's fists seen popping in and out of the could as it went about, sucking in and launching out everything that got caught in it. Worried, Robyn rushed over and hurried to catch several pencils, glass containers, some binders with papers, and even the Warner Bros.' telephones.
"Guys, stop! I can't! Prevent you! From breaking! Everything! Much Longer!", Robyn urged.
"Yipes!", Daffy exclaimed, flinching as one of the phones zoomed past him and another toward Elmer before Robyn caught the first telephone while Elmer caught the other, which appeared to be a small cellphone.
"Oh, wook. Spwint picture/mail phone.", Elmer said before chuckling his usual chuckle.
Fortunately, that tornado did not last very long. Unfortunately, Jerry ran from Tom across the table with the cat dashing toward him. Jerry jumped off the table and ran for his mousehole on a wall nearby with Tom leaping out, roaring like a wildcat to try and catch him. But Jerry went inside while Tom wound up crashing into a wall, flattening himself like an accordion. Then, as Jerry peeped out and smiled at Tom's flattened condition, Robyn put everything back on the table and went over to Tom, very miffed at their latest hijinks as she straightened him out, literally. Of course, Jerry simply laughed until Robyn stomped up, replacing his smile with little more than a frown of fear.
"I'm warning you two! The next time you stir up trouble, I WON'T bail you out! UNDERSTAND?!", Robyn shouted with enough winds to blow Jerry back in his mousehole and force Tom into a wall again, this time, actually flattening him, his face now bearing frozen fear.
Seeing this, Daffy gave a nervous look.
"Yeesh…!"
"And cut!", someone shouted as he and the camera crew walked further in with Robyn taking a deep breath and sighing, her face now bearing a smile.
"That was really good.", one of the camera men spoke.
"You think?", Robyn asked.
Just then, Jerry popped back out.
"Yeah, Robyn. That was great.", Jerry agreed.
"Great? Are you kiddin'?", Tom asked, pulling himself out of the wall and unflattening himself quickly.
"She had enough force to blow me right into the wall. I'd call that outstanding. Still, though. Remind me not to get on your bad side for real.", Tom added.
"Aw, guys. You're making me blush.", Robyn responded.
"You guys were doing a scene in here? Why wasn't I told? I could've made for a great actor in this scene, I tell ya.", Daffy stated.
"Sorry, pal. The chase just kinda went practically everywhere.", Tom stated.
"Literally.", Jerry added.
"But on the bright side, you might have made one heck of a cameo.", Robyn assured.
"I don't know how to feel about that... And I was just going over my rewrite for the script, too. Because show biz legends like me shouldn't have to play stooge... to that long-eared, carrot-chomping, OVERBITE-CHALLENGED-", Daffy began.
Just then, Bugs spoke up.
"Eh..."
Hearing that was enough to earn Daffy's gasp with widened eyes and an upset reaction as he turned to see him as everyone else was surprised. When they all saw Bugs, he was eating a carrot while leaning against a column.
"What's up, doc?", Bugs asked.
"Bugs Bunny!", Tom, Jerry, and Robyn spoke in excited unison.
"Hey, you three. Nice scene you did back there.", Bugs greeted.
"You saw that?", Robyn asked.
"Thanks, Bugs.", Jerry thanked.
"It was great, wasn't it?", Tom asked.
"Hey, Bobby, how's the wife?", Bugs greeted.
The ladies prepared Bugs Bunny's seat as he walked over to the table.
"Great nose job, Chuck. Oh, thanks, girls. Good rug, Mel. Never would have guessed.", Bugs grinned as he happily sat down at a seat prepared for him.
"Whose seat is this?", Daffy asked.
The ladies then moved Bugs Bunny's seat near a disgruntled Daffy Duck, moving his seat almost away from the table.
"Pardon me.", Bugs said.
"The pleasure is mine.", Daffy responded, moving Bugs's seat almost away from the table.
"Oh, and Leon, if your assistant needs any more bone marrow, I'm there.", Bugs assured as Daffy sighed.
"So, uh, Daff, I was readin' this rewrite of yours…", Bugs began.
"Rewrite?! You made a rewrite?", Tom asked.
"And gave you three guest roles. You're welcome. Spoiler alert, Robyn's a superheroine.", Daffy replied, surprising Tom and Jerry, though not as much as it surprised Robyn.
"Superheroine?! Me?", Robyn reacted in surprise.
"Why not? You've got all the makings of one. Other than myself, of course.", Daffy said.
"And dat brings me to my one question.", Bugs responded.
"Yes?", Daffy asked.
"Where's me?", Bugs asked.
Daffy gave a light scoff.
"Actors. I was just getting to your part, Bugsy."
Back to the rewrite, Bugs was apparently still trapped when the machine exploded with Sage noticing how Bugs was falling.
"He needs help, Duckman!", Sage urged.
"I'm on it.", Duckman assured before getting out his grappling hook and firing it toward a gargoyle stone statue with which to swing himself.
Just in time, too. Bugs was falling down while screaming until caught by Daffy, who gave a wink and then set him on the ground of one of many apartment rooms before gliding down as Bugs giggled.
"You're my hero.", Bugs spoke before a toilet landed on him, practically crushing him.
Tom, Jerry, and Robyn winced from that.
"What? The rabbit survived worse than that.", Daffy assured.
"Ah. Toilet humor. I'll pass.", Bugs refused.
"Yeah, Daff. As good as those roles are, we're just not sure we wanna undermine Bugs' reputation like that as much as you seem to.", Tom concurred.
"Thanks for stopping by. Big fan. Of your early work.", Daffy glared near the end.
"Fellas, besides his psycho fantasy sequence, I think Daff's right. Maybe I'll take a vacation. Go visit my 542 nieces and nephews.", Bugs agreed as he opened his wallet to show his list of pictures of his 542 nieces and nephews, one of which showed Bugs with one of his nephews, Clyde Bunny at the fireplace.
"Hey. That's Clyde Bunny.", Robyn grinned.
"He sure looks cute, doesn't he?", Jerry asked.
"I wish I could get to meet him.", Tom added.
"Oh, yeah. How was your visit with Clyde?", Robyn asked.
"Eh, not exactly how I thought it'd turn out. One minute he's excited to hear my adventures. And the next, he doesn't even believe they happened. So, I said to him, 'If Everything I've told you isn't true, I hope I'm run over by a streetcar.' And then...", Bugs began right before a streetcar burst out from the wall, much to everyone's alarm, and rammed right on Bugs, making Tom, Jerry, and Robyn gasp.
"Bugs!", the trio shouted.
"Ah! Sorry, Bugs.", the streetcar driver apologized.
"Eh, don't sweat it, doc.", Bugs assured, relieving everyone.
"Where did that streetcar come from?", a woman in a nice purple shirt asked.
Daffy only gave a mischievous chuckle.
"Daffy. Did you have something to do with this?", Robyn glared.
"Uh... who can say?", Daffy asked with a nervous look as Bugs got up just fine, albeit covered with some dust from the broken wall.
"Well, thanks for illustrating the craziest thing that happened, Daff.", Bugs thanked.
"Bugs, are you okay?", Robyn asked.
"Oh, yeah. I'm fine. My point is, I could stand to give 'em a visit once in a while.", Bugs responded.
"Mr. Duck, excuse me, I'm sorry. I don't see how we can have a Bugs Bunny movie without Bugs Bunny.", the woman in a purple shirt stated.
Hearing this, Daffy Duck got up off his seat and walked on the table toward the woman.
"Oh, my heavens, no. You couldn't have a movie without Bugs Bunny. Riots in the streets. The fall of western civilization. And if you don't mind me asking, whose glorified personal assistant are you?", Daffy pointed before the woman grabbed Daffy by the hand and shook his hand.
"Kate Houghton, Vice President, Comedy.", Kate responded.
Suddenly, Daffy's hand wound up frozen.
"Right.", Daffy said, not buying into how she'd know anything about it.
Then, he noticed his frozen hand.
"Wow. She sure is ice cold, isn't she?", Tom asked.
"Tom, not in front of her.", Jerry whispered.
"What? I'm just saying.", Tom responded.
"Kate did Lethal Weapon Babies. Finally, a Lethal Weapon that I can take my grandchildren to.", Harry Warner stated, gesturing to the Lethal Weapon Babies poster.
"Aw. They look so cute.", Robyn grinned.
"That's the general idea. Uh, gentlemen, check your phones.", Kate stated.
Then, everybody on the table except the Warner Brothers prepared their notophones. The two CEOs didn't have them, so the ladies gave the Warner Brothers their notophones. When they did, they took a look at a couple of graphs.
"Our latest research shows that Bugs Bunny is a core asset that appeals to male and female, young and old throughout the known universe, rivaling only Tom and Jerry while your fan base is limited to angry fat guys in basements.", Kate explained as said graphs showed Bugs Bunny's highest rating as well as Tom and Jerry's and changed to Daffy Duck's rating, who lowered due to people hating on him with Daffy comically falling down and landing head first on one of the graphs with his legs sticking out.
"Oh, boy...", Jerry sighed.
"This doesn't look good, Daff.", Tom added.
"Yeah, b-but... Come on, fellas, I'll at least admit that I can't compete with this cat-and-mouse duo, but I'm thrice the entertainer the rabbit is!", Daffy assured as Bugs was chomping on his carrot.
After a moment of chomping, he burped, making everyone laugh, much to Daffy's chagrin.
Even he had to admit that Bugs was that good.
"Fine, it's hilarious... but moviegoers these days demand action heroes, like me!", Daffy stated.
With that, Daffy quickly karate'd madly, knocking over pencil cases and breakfast dishes before he ended up twisting himself.
"Top that, rabbit.", Daffy panted.
In response, Bugs Bunny casually tapped Daffy with his foot and made him drop his eyes, leaving Daffy blind as they laughed. Nevertheless, he managed to grab his eyes and confront Harry and Albert Warner as his eyes went back to his head.
"So, it has come to this, has it? I'm afraid the Brothers Warner must choose between a handsome matinee idol or this miscreant perpetrator of low burlesque.", Daffy asked.
Bugs Bunny was then seen wearing a mustache with glasses and a spinning bow tie, which made everybody laugh; that is, everyone except Tom, Jerry, and Robyn.
"I don't think you should be doin' that, Daff.", Tom warned.
"Come on. As if they're gonna pick someone else over...", Daffy began.
"Whichever one's not the duck.", Albert only answered.
"Me...?!", Daffy reacted painfully to Warner Brothers' choice with a gasp.
Then, an employee returned Daffy's things from his former office.
"Hey. That's the stuff from my office.", Daffy said.
"You don't have an office. Not anymore.", Harry stated.
"He did try to warn you that you shouldn't do that.", Robyn stated.
"Yep.", Tom agreed.
"Symbolically, this is bad.", Daffy said.
"Look, Warners? With all due respect, firing him like this is not a good idea.", Robyn said in worry.
"Why not? He asked us to choose, so we did.", Harry responded just right before Daffy went toward Harry and Albert, even going as far as to hug Kate, pleading for them to allow him to keep his job.
"Please, brother. Other brother? Icy she-wolf? Robyn's right! I didn't mean it. Help me, please. I'm too moist and tender to retire.", Daffy begged.
But Kate only grabbed Daffy and pulled him away from her.
"Let me escort you out.", Kate said.
With that, Kate Houghton carried Daffy out of the studio.
"Wait! I haven't tried toadying, kowtowing, or butt-kissing yet. I'm still begging here! Kate!", Daffy shouted while Bugs Bunny sighed in disappointment.
"Oh, no. This is terrible.", Jerry said.
"Yeah. He's been downsized, kicked out, fired.", Tom added.
"We've gotta figure out something to help them realize what a mistake that was.", Robyn decided.
"You're right. And we will.", Jerry assured.
"I wonder how DJ's doin with his job.", Tom puzzled.
