Chapter 18 – Decorating the House
Luke woke up the next day and looking at the clock, he realized it was 7am. Feeling Ines moving next to him, he looked at her and smiled. He noticed right away that her aura was different. She had the same type of aura that every time she was pregnant. He knew they had conceived their last kid last night, he just felt in the force.
Leaning towards her he started kissing her neck, making her smile and opened her eyes.
"Morning." he said to her.
"What time is it?"
"Still early. 7am."
Wining, she crawl even more under the covers.
"It is still very early, and it is cold!"
Luke couldn't help but giggled at that.
"I know, that's why you keep laying in bed, I will make breakfast and take the decorations out, and take care of our kids!"
"I can help!"
"No, you need to rest from now on."
Ines smiled at that statement.
"You are pretty sure I'm already pregnant!"
"Like you don't felt right away that there was a change in the force."
"But let's go easy, and let's wait a few weeks to make a test." she said.
"I agree," he said and get under the covers, he put his shirt on. "But stay in bed, I will make breakfast and grab our youngest cause I'm sure he is the only one who is awake already."
Ines laughed but pulling the covers up, she stayed in bed while Luke left the bedroom to check their kids, and like he already knew, the girls were still sleeping, and so was Ben, but the moment he entered in the boys room, Lukey smiled at him and even Spots walked towards him and started rubbing on his legs.
"I know you are hungry, I will give your food right away. But let me pick up that little toddler!" he smiled stroking the Lothal Cat and getting near Lukey's bed, he picked the toddler.
"Look who is awake already!" he whispered.
"Pee!" Lukey said right away making Luke laughed.
"Okay I get it, let's pee and then let's make breakfast for mama and your siblings before we do something very important."
The toddler smiled right away.
"Twee!"
"Very good!" Luke giggled and kissing his son's forehead, he went to the living room, where he put water and food for Spots, and after changing his son's diaper, after he pee, he decided to make a delicious breakfast, after that he picked every box with the decorations for the Life Day month coming ahead, which made Lukey very happy, following his father around with the bottle of milk in his hands who he kept sucking at the same time.
"Lukey pu Twee with Papa!" he said grabbing one of the many colorful shiny balls.
"Not now. Your siblings are still sleeping. Only after they awake!"
"I awa!" he said and before Luke could grabbed him, the 2 years old started to ran towards the bedrooms.
"Oh no mister," Luke said stopping him with force and making him float towards his arms, picking him up. "Let them awake on their terms. We have all morning mister!"
"What is going on. It smells so good!" Ines voiced was heard and they saw her coming in the living room, and sitting on one the couches watching all the boxes spread around the place.
"Twee!" Lukey said, walked towards her, who put him on her lap and kissed his little cheeks.
"I can see that!"
"He was ready to wake his siblings cause he is eager to put the tree up!"
"Really?" she asked him, laughing when the kid nod his head. "Well it is 8am, it is time for them to awake and eat breakfast, cause the decorations need to be up cause later we need to go the Temple and decorate it, and that takes a lot more time."
"Well we are lucky that the kids and the Masters that live there already are ready to help. Actually, we all talk that Ahsoka, Ezra, Gungi, Kal and our first students, started to take out all the boxes and put them in the places where the trees will be. Then after lunch we all need to take them out and start to put them up."
"I'm so happy that former Jedi who survived Order 66 and are still alive are coming to help. I actually love to watch their faces when you say that you are Anakin and Senator Amidala son." Ines said remembering the old jedi faces every time Luke says his last name is Skywalker and his father was Anakin Skywalker.
"Can you blame them?" he said.
"Twee Mama!" Lukey said making Ines look at him.
"Someone wants that tree up. Well go wake up you siblings. R2 help him please!" Ines said putting Lukey on the floor and laughed when the toddler ran towards his older
siblings bedrooms screaming tree.
Few Hours Later:
The Skywalkers were having a great time, especially with the excitement that Lukey was having, especially every time a ball and any decorations went on the tree, with the toddler clapping and screaming.
"My Goodness, you really love this!" Ines laughed pulling her kid towards her. "Here give this blue sparkly ball to Papa!" she said towards him.
Lukey grabbed had towards Luke
"Ball, Papa!"
"Oh thank you sweetie!" Luke said crouching and kissed the toddler forehead.
The door beeped and Han entered inside the home holding a very awake 3 month old Breha, who kept moving her little arms and legs, and being followed by Iris and 3PO.
"Hey, are you awake at this hour?" Ines said looking at the time, who was just 10 minutes after 9am.
"Tell that to your niece," Han replied. "This little one decided to awake at 6am for food and also decided that she was not in the mood to sleep again. So because Leia is giving a bath to the boys, we decided to come visit and see Uncle Luke and Aunt Ines Life Tree, right baby?" Han smiled kissing the top of Breha's head who made her baby high pitches.
"Come here," Ines said laughing when the 3 months old raised her little arms towards her aunt. "And what about you Iris. I thought you were already in that phase of take time to sleep all morning."
"Me too, but lately this one is acting little weird!" Han said sitting on the couch looking at his older daughter.
"I like to be around my baby sister!" Iris said, but Luke, Ines and Han glare at each other knowing that was not really the case.
"Miss Iris is just afraid that General Solo and Mistress Leia forget about her, specially now that they have their own daughter!" 3PO spoke making Iris glare at the protocol droid.
"Thank 3PO, I'm starting to see why father is always picking on you, cause you can't shut up!"
"Well I guess I will help master Luke with the tree!" 3PO said having R2 beeped, which made 3PO glare at his friend. "What do you mean? I can shut up."
R2 beeped again.
"Look who is talking."
R2 beeped once more.
"You kept the secret about master Anakin being Master Luke and Mistress Leia's father cause I didn't know, cause I could kept that secret too." he said making R2 beep. "How dare you! I'm not a babblermouth. Come back you!"
"Iris is that true?!" Luke asked his niece, who looked down in ashamed.
"Iris, really? How could think your mother and I would ever forget about you because you sister just born. That's hurtful!" Han said too.
Iris looked up at him.
"I'm sorry, but I couldn't help to think that. And Mimi said that to back at school!"
"Well Mimi is wrong and you are smarter to believe what other say!" Han continue.
Ines sighed. Deep inside she understood what her niece.
"Iris, I hate to say this but your father is right. You are with us for almost 7 years now. And besides did your parents ever stop treating the same when the boys born?"
"No!"
"Then why do you ever think that would change?" Han asked his daughter.
"Iris, we have bad news for you," Luke started. "You are now a Skywalker and a Solo, so you are stuck with us for the rest of your life."
Iris laughed at that and hugged Han resting her head on his chest.
"I'm sorry to ever think that!"
"And next time some of your friends say something stupid like that, introduce them your uncle Chewie, They will love it!" Han said.
"Look, it is time to put the Life Day Ball!" Padmé screamed.
"Okay, last year Ben was the one who did. This year since Padmé is older than Alli, she will do it. Next year will be you. Okay?"
"Okay!" Alli said and with that Padmé put the Ball on top of the tree, using the force, making everyone clap when she did it.
"Beautiful!" Luke said.
"Now let's put your trees in your bedrooms cause later on, we need to get the Temple ready!" Ines said.
"And we need to go cause we have ours to put!" Han said, while Iris picked her sister and kissed her little cheeks.
"She is getting so beautiful!" Iris said.
"Well we can thank your mother for that!" Han said,
"You are very handsome too Father!"
"I know!" he said making Iris and Ines rolled their eyes.
"Well see you guys later!" Han said leaving with the girls and 3PO while the Skywalkers grabbed the small boxes and head inside to the bedrooms.
And Life Day began? What did you think of Iris fear? And is Ines really expecting already?
