The Betrayal - Part One
Anakin Skywalker, Jedi Knight and General in the Grand Army of the Republic. He stood overlooking the city planet of Coruscant, the planet its self was home to over 3 trillion sentients and to the Jedi Order. Their temple stood as a beacon of hope over the city. The Clone Wars was entering the 5th year of combat and Anakin's 24th birthday was coming up, he was expecting to be spending it similar to the last 4 birthdays. Fighting with his soldiers on the front lines and being to far and too tired to do anything. Another upcoming date was his anniversary with his wife of which he had missed the last 4 only being able to contact her through holograms.
"General Skywalker, a communication from the Jedi Temple has requested you to the planets surface for a mission briefing." The clone officer's voice rang out across the bridge
"Very well, tell them I'm departing now and will be present shortly." Anakin sighed, he would have to sadly tell his wife that he'd be missing their anniversary again
"Yes sir." The officer tapped at his station and then resumed normal duties again
Anakin took a deep breath and walked out of the bridge and through the hallways of the Venator, he saluted to soldiers and officers alike. He walked into the hangar and hopped in his starfighter leaving the hangar and entering the atmosphere of the city planet as he flew towards the pillar of hope. Anakin very quickly landed his shuttle in the Jedi Temple Hangar and hopped out and started walking towards the Council Chambers. He didn't know what his mission was but one thing he did know was why. his legion, the 501st was the most elite force in the Grand Army of the Republic. As Anakin reached the elevator to the Council Chambers he walked in and started to feel hot, he assumed he was developing a small fever from energy exhaustion, as the elevator went up the tallest tower of the Jedi Temple Anakin closed his eyes and when he opened them he looked around and saw Naboo and a temple there then he saw a futuristic room with multiple people. One with a red cape, another woman wearing golden armour with a sword, another in a red suit and one in green energy. Anakin woke up from his vision as the elevator reached the entrance to the council chambers as he stepped inside the room and bowed to the council members.
"I heard you had a new mission for me Masters, what does it partake?" Anakin asked not particularly listening and thinking back to his vision
"Yes we do Skywalker." Mace looked towards Plo Koon and nodded "We need you to try and find something on Naboo. Its not a military mission and is solely a Jedi Mission. You and Master Plo will go"
"Very well Masters, What is it we are looking for? Is it a Holocron or a Temple?" Anakin asked, his interest peaked at hearing Naboo knowing his vision must have something to do with it. Afterall he didn't believe in coincidence.
"Master Plo will brief you on route Skywalker" Mace quickly responded harshly
Anakin nodded bowed and left the Chambers having 0 questions answered and only getting 1000 more. He waited for the elevator to reach the bottom as he walked towards the hangar and waited there pondering on his vision and his new mission
