Chapter 76: Chapter 76: The Dark Night Hero
Nolan felt very familiar with it. He had encountered an Abyss Mage in the Secret Realm just two days ago. There was no mistaking it was a Cryo Abyss Mage.
Why would it be here?
Mondstadt City was surrounded by walls. If the Abyss Mage had flown over the city walls to get in, the patrolling Knights of Favonius wouldn't have missed such an eye-catching creature.
Could it have teleported in using magic? Or did it use the Abyss Order's teleportation network?
The teleportation range of Abyss Mages didn't seem too far. It was possible they could have been spotted by the Knights if they had teleported near Mondstadt.
So it must have used the teleportation network to get in.
Was it here to gather intelligence? Or was it plotting some conspiracy?
And it was hiding so strangely in the bushes. Were those furry ears sticking out really necessary?
Why would the Abyss Order trust such a creature of questionable IQ...
Nolan entered stealth mode, carefully controlling his footsteps as he approached silently.
His right hand rested on the hilt of his Dull Blade +20, ready to draw it in an instant for a sneak attack.
"Damn it! I almost had it. Why did I get discovered?!"
The green shrubbery trembled slightly, and the unique synthetic sound of monsters came from it. Indeed, it was an Abyss Mage.
It seemed to have failed at something it was about to succeed at because someone had noticed it.
Nolan was a bit curious now. What was the Abyss Order up to this time? Last time it was the remains of a Demon God in the Secret Realm. Could they be making a direct move on Mondstadt itself now?
It made sense for the Abyss Order to send scouts since Barbatos hadn't shown himself in Mondstadt for years.
After all, their goal was to overthrow the nations ruled by The Seven Archon.
Nolan could not let this happen. The continent of Teyvat was relatively peaceful under the archons' rule.
He didn't know what secrets the Abyss Order held or why the Traveler was their prince.
But since they were openly doing unjust things, he had to stop them when it was within his power!
Just like now, as Nolan tightened his grip on the dull blade, ready to draw it at any moment...
From the corner of his eye, he glimpsed a flaming sun barreling down from above. Nolan's pupils contracted as he immediately halted his motion, forcing his legs to take a step back.
The next second, a burst of fire erupted where the Abyss Mage was standing, and the nearby green shrubbery was consumed by the flames.
"Ahhh!"
The Cryo Abyss Mage let out a wretched scream as it lay motionless on the ground, a flaming greatsword pierced through its body.
The magnificent sword, with its intertwining silver and purple colors and intricate patterns.
Nolan was quite familiar with this sword; Noelle also had one. It was the four-star two-handed Claymore, unique to the Knights of Favonius — the Favonius Greatsword.
That cunning attack angle just now was definitely not random. It seemed he had been discovered!
Nolan looked in the direction the greatsword had come from.
A tall figure stood on the roof, a black cloak fluttering slightly in the night breeze, a mask under the hood with only the chin slightly exposed.
With his keen eyesight, Nolan saw a few strands of red hair peeking out from under the hood connected to the cloak.
Damn, it's the Darknight Hero!
(Image)
There was no mistake. The fact that Diluc, owner of the Angel's Share tavern, was the rumored Darknight Hero was common knowledge to Nolan who had played the original game.
Oh no, could I be misunderstood? After all, the stealth technique is a staple of both the Darknight Hero and the Debt Agent of the Fatui, and he seems to remember that Diluc had a grudge against Fatui!
His father's death seemed related to the Delusions created by the Fatui.
With that context, even if stealth technique wasn't solely a Fatui ability, Diluc would likely assume the worst upon seeing it.
Furthermore, he had indeed acquired this skill from the Fatui.
Nolan's heart began to beat faster. His optical stealth was somewhat ineffective against a powerful and experienced fighter like Master Diluc.
Diluc leapt down from above, landing on the ground. He raised his right hand slightly as intense pyro element swirled around it.
Even though his expression couldn't be seen clearly, the sharpness in his gaze was quite intimidating. Diluc calmly said, "Come out. I don't want to wait for you to stammer out your words later."
Phew, at least he wasn't attacking yet. As long as Nolan explained things clearly, Diluc would likely be reasonable given his personality.
Nolan released his grip on the sword hilt and lightly patted his chest, deactivating stealth mode.
Seeing the black-haired, Liyue-featured young man in adventurer's attire appear before him, Diluc was briefly surprised before frowning and asking, "Who are you? Why are you here?"
Though suspicious, this person didn't seem to be from the Fatui. He lacked their nauseating aura.
Could he be a Liyue spy?
Seeing that Nolan didn't display the caution and discreetness of a spy and was likely not from Mondstadt either, Diluc didn't want to resort to violence in uncertain situations.
After all, this was within Mondstadt. If a person from Liyue caused trouble here, it could escalate into a diplomatic issue.
Although he was no longer part of the Knights of Favonius, and their troubles were not his concern. However, as a resident of Mondstadt, Diluc didn't want his country to have conflicts with other nations.
"Um, are you... uh, the legendary Darknight Hero, sir? Hehe, living in Mondstadt City, I occasionally hear praises from others about you."
Nolan almost blurted out Mr. Diluc's name but luckily realized the problem in time. Otherwise, the already delicate situation would become even more troublesome.
Since he was hidden so well, apart from the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius and a few others, few people knew about it.
It was originally a trivial matter, but if he accidentally revealed the identity of the Darknight Hero, hey, Master Diluc might have to use his underground intel means to thoroughly investigate his background.
Though he had nothing to hide as a transmigrator in Teyvat, Nolan disliked the feeling of being seen through completely. It made him feel unsafe.
"Are you an adventurer?" Diluc said thoughtfully.
Nolan smiled and nodded.
"Yes, Katheryne from Adventurers' Guild can vouch for me. And I'm friends with Amber, the scout of the Knights of Favonius. You needn't worry I'm some suspicious figure."
"I'm here because, on my way home, I happened to spot a monster that infiltrated the city and was going to take care of it."
After saying that, Nolan breathed a sigh of relief. He really didn't want any conflict with Diluc. His strength was at least at the level of a captain in the Knights of Favonius.
Facing him, Nolan would only be beaten up.

Chapter 77: Chapter 77: Petrified Ancient Tree
The Darknight Hero, Diluc, rested his gloved right hand, against his chin and pondered for a moment before calmly saying, "I'll go confirm it."
With that said, he walked over, casually swung the Favonius Greatsword to dissipate it into particles, and stored it back in his Vision. Leaving only a cool back profile for Nolan as he departed.
Diluc's words actually put Nolan more at ease.
The attitude he conveyed suggested that even if he did go to confirm, it would likely just involve a simple inquiry, without delving into investigating his background using underground intelligence networks.
After all, a young adventurer who happened to be proficient in stealth wasn't worth much effort.
Not to mention, he was friends with the scout of the Knights of Favonius, Amber.
Back at home, Nolan prepared his elemental potions and arrows in his adventurer's backpack. He arranged the arrows in such a way that their fins could protrude from one side of the backpack for easy access.
Unfortunately, the backpack had its limitations. Unlike arrows, potions couldn't be accessed as conveniently.
During combat, he still needed to put down the backpack to use them, which was a bit troublesome.
But there was no other way. He couldn't just strap them to his waist; if one accidentally broke, he would be hit by flames and lightning first.
By keeping them in the backpack with appropriate cushioning measures, as long as he didn't intentionally smash them on the ground, there was no need to worry about this issue.
Two more days passed, and Nolan was waiting at the gate of Mondstadt.
He had arrived early at the Adventurers' Guild and was chatting casually with Katheryne, who had no one else to attend to.
With an elegant yet graceful smile, Katheryne recounted various amusing and interesting stories about adventurers. Nolan found it all rather eye-opening, their adventures were so colorful.
[Katheryne Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 120 Affection Points. Current Affection Level: Lv.2 (120/200)]
After chatting with Katheryne for a while, the affection increased slightly.
Just then, Her Royal Highness Fischl and her familiar Oz appeared, followed shortly by Bennett.
"Hmph, my attendants, greet this princess promptly upon her arrival."
Fischl's hands, wrapped in black silk gloves, rested on the waist of her skirt as she slightly raised her fair chin and closed her eyes, revealing a proud smile.
Oz, flapping his nocturnal wings, relayed,
"The Miss says she missed you dearly."
"Oz, hold thy tongue!" Fischl flushed slightly, glaring at her familiar.
Ah... judging by Little Amy's blushing face, what Oz said was probably true. It seems that there aren't many people who can get along with Fischl.
Mainly because, As princess of the Immernachtreich, even with most of her power stripped upon descending to Teyvat, ordinary people still couldn't become her subjects.
Only those who treat her with sincerity are eligible to be considered her friends, at least not someone who, after hearing her self-introduction, shows a strange expression but remains speechless.
"Oh, by the way, how have you been these past two days?"
Bennett rubbed his ash-blond hair at the back of his head, his face beaming with joy and curiosity. Before the two could respond, he continued,
"I sold unused materials to the Guild for Mora, then got my dads some new clothes.
"I also threw them a little birthday party. They pretended not to care but I'd never seen them laugh so happily before, hehe!
"The rest of the Mora I saved for their retirement."
Judging by his enthusiasm to share, Bennett seemed to have had a very meaningful few days.
"Oh my, Sir Bennett truly possesses admirable qualities!"
Oz the Raven praised generously.
"As expected of a warrior of the Immernachtreich!" Fischl nodded in approval of his actions, then proudly declared, "Within just three short days and nights, this princess has explored many unknown worlds!
In the near future, each one of them will be incorporated into the territory of the Evernight Kingdom!"
"I heard that the Knights of Favonius' library recently acquired a batch of martial arts novels from Liyue. Miss immediately rushed over to borrow them and has been spending all her time on them these days."
Oz, flapping his wings, relayed once again.
"I see, truly worthy of Her Highness." Nolan smiled and said, "With your efforts, the days when the Evernight Kingdom reigns supreme in the world are surely not far off!"
[Fischl Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 180 Affection Points. Current Affection Level: Lv.5 (235/500)]
"Expanding our territory is merely the inevitable process of achieving our ultimate goal!" Fischl's soft lips curved into a slight smile.
"The ultimate goal?" Nolan was a bit puzzled.
"Hmph, that is to shoot down the 'World Beast' (Gesamtkunstwerk) that devours dreams!"
Fischl crossed her arms, pushing up her chest slightly in the black fishnet top to emphasize its soft, rolling curves.
Katheryne, at the adventurer reception desk, watched the three of them deep in conversation about conquering the world and couldn't help but smile helplessly.
In the end, Nolan also shared that he had collected materials the previous day to prepare some elemental potions, and for the past two days, he had been busy taking on commissions to clear out monsters.
They were all simple tasks involving slimes and ordinary hilichurls wandering near trade routes.
The rewards were average, giving just over 800 Adventure EXP, not even 1,000. After all, they weren't formidable monsters. For substantial gains, the Secret Realm was still better.
After briefly sharing their experiences, the three bid farewell to Katheryne and once again left the city gates to enter the Thousand Winds Temple.
There weren't many people in the camp, and it seemed that the exploration of the Secret Realm had reached its later stages. Adventurers were actively exploring inside, and it was said that someone had discovered traces of a Petrified Ancient Tree in this Secret Realm.
This further ignited the enthusiasm of adventurers. Even some severely injured adventurers who were lying down were eager to get up and explore the Secret Realm again upon hearing the news.
Fortunately, the Adventurers' Guild medical staff held them back, otherwise, they might not have made it out intact.
Nolan and the others were quite surprised to learn of this news.
A Petrified Ancient Tree was connected to the ley lines just like the Blossoms of Revelation, and it was an even higher-order existence. Finding it meant being able to activate it with Original Resin and obtain treasures originating from the ley lines.
If they were lucky, they might even encounter legendary five-star artifacts!
Most adventurers had only heard of such things and had never seen them. If they were to truly obtain a five-star artifact, even if they retired on the spot, they probably wouldn't need to worry about Mora for the rest of their lives.
Without much hesitation, Nolan and Bennett, under the guidance of the princess, once again entered the Secret Realm to participate in this battle for the Petrified Ancient Tree!

Chapter 78: Chapter 78: New Scene
Thousand Winds Temple, the second layer of the Secret Realm.
The people from the Adventurers' Guild said that traces of the Petrified Ancient Tree were found on the second floor.
So, in order to avoid wandering around like headless flies in the entire large-scale realm, Nolan and his group arrived at the second layer as soon as possible.
"Hey, hey, don't block the way!"
Just as the three arrived from the first layer to the second, they were stunned by the sight before them.
This wasn't the location of the massive circular domed room where they had previously landed, but rather a new exit from the first to the second layer that adventurers had discovered.
Before them was a large rectangular corridor illuminated by burning small flaming braziers, casting light. The walls were made of brick.
Tents of adventurers stood on both sides of the corridor, stretching endlessly into the distance.
Some adventurers even laid out materials they had obtained during their exploration of the Secret Realm for sale, making the place bustling like the streets of Mondstadt.
Coming down the stairs to the second layer were seven or eight adventurers.
The leader was a guy with a crew cut, carrying a large adventurer's backpack on his back. He impatiently pushed aside Bennett, who was standing slightly to the left, and walked straight ahead.
"Uh, sorry," Bennett scratched his head somewhat embarrassedly.
Mainly because Nolan and the others were standing still, which caused Bennett, who was on the far left, to block the path for others.
"Hmph! How rude!"
Fischl rested her hands on her hips, scolding bluntly.
The purple-black hem of her dress fluttered slightly, obscuring her legs clad in uneven black stockings.
The slight flesh-colored pantyhose on her right leg, which had been torn by gravel during their last adventure, was no longer visible.
She must have changed it.
From behind, the glimpse of bare skin on her left thigh was hidden by the dress hem, barely visible under the skirt.
The snow-white and soft appearance of her thighs could only be imagined.
The group of adventurers ahead had already walked far away, and Nolan and his companions began to browse the bustling corridor, curiously looking at the items for sale.
There were one-star and two-star artifacts opened from treasure chests, but no three-star ones seemed to be for sale.
Also crystal chunks and the like, slime condensate, broken hilichurl masks, sharp arrowheads, divining scrolls, and so on.
Even Chaos Devices were available, and some people even dismantled various parts of Ruin Guards to sell.
These guys were probably trying to entice young novice adventurers to spend money, after all, who would go back and tell their friends, "Look, this is the arm of a Ruin Guard!"
Haha, only those who care about face would fall for it.
Apart from Chaos Devices, the other parts of Ruin Guards didn't have much technical value, probably only useful for refining into useful metals.
"Primogem! Anyone need Primogems from Treasure Chests? Selling them cheap!"
At this moment, a voice selling primogems was heard ahead, and Nolan's eyes slightly lit up as he quickened his pace.
"Sir Nolan really likes these shiny things." Oz the Raven behind him sighed slightly.
Then, he followed Fischl and Bennett, slowly catching up.
In front of the stall of the adventurer wearing forest green clothes, there were indeed two shiny primogems. Although Nolan was somewhat tempted, he didn't show it much and asked, "What's the price?"
The adventurer in forest green clothes said, "95,000 Mora each, it's cheap right?"
Compared to the usual 100,000 Mora, it was a small discount. But not by much at this price range.
Nolan also knew that Primogems were easy to sell, so getting them at a cheaper price was already good.
So without haggling, he quickly purchased both before others came.
The two Primogems cost 190,000 Mora, leaving him with 80,000. Still short of next month's rent to Eula.
There was no need to rush for now, as there was still more than half a month left.
Nolan put the two Primogems into his adventure backpack, Bennett came over to Nolan and said:
"I didn't expect you to like Primogems so much. Unfortunately, I don't come across many in my adventures, otherwise I could sell them to you."
"In that case, Bennett, if you happen to get any Primogems in the future, you can keep them and sell them to me when I have enough Mora, okay?" Nolan thought for a moment and said.
After all, this kind of thing was not always available, and even with enough Mora, it wasn't certain that he could buy them. If Bennett was willing to keep them for him, it would be a big help.
However, his unlucky constitution wouldn't necessarily allow him to get any Primogems smoothly.
"Of course no problem!"
Primogems didn't matter much to Bennett. Selling them to anyone was the same. Since a friend needed them, they would be given priority.
"Such meager radiance is but decoration in my palace's rear corridors. My attendant, if you need them, feel free to take them."
Fischl smiled, lifting the golden hairs on her right side with her fair hand, gently shaking them before letting them fall again, covering her snow-white soft shoulders.
'You mean I should come to Immernachtreich to get them?' Nolan thought somewhat helplessly.
There was no wind in the Secret Realm, and it felt a bit stuffy in this crowded passage. Suddenly, Nolan saw someone excitedly running back from the front.
Then, shouting as he ran:
"Big news! Big news! An adventurer group found a petrified ancient tree in the eastern marsh area!"
At his words, the bustling street came to a standstill. The next second, thunderous cheers erupted from all!
Immediately, every adventurer began mobilizing, packing weapons and supplies like an army of ants pouring out.
"Amazing, such good luck to find treasure as soon as we entered the realm!"
Bennett clenched his fists in excitement, his eyes looked like they were radiating green light.
Nolan heard Bennett's words and had a somewhat bad feeling. After all, the phrase "good luck" sounded off coming from him.
But since the petrified ancient tree had appeared, they definitely couldn't miss it. Not participating meant no share of the spoils.
That's right, the petrified ancient tree, which only appeared in Secret Realm and was even more closely connected to the ley lines, would generally attract more monsters.
Because the Secret Realm themselves had denser monster distributions than the wilderness, the petrified ancient tree attracted a larger range of monsters.
According to records from the Adventurer's Guild, there were generally no fewer than twenty to thirty monsters gathered around the petrified ancient tree, sometimes even more.
For a regular adventurer group, this was something they couldn't handle on their own.
The only way was to spread the news and, under the witness of the Adventurer's Guild, everyone would collectively clear out the monsters. Finally, the loot obtained from the petrified ancient tree would be distributed according to contributions made by the adventurer group.
As for solo exploration of the petrified ancient tree in the Secret Realm, one probably required to ascend 3 or 4 times, and success was not guaranteed.

Chapter 79: Chapter 79: The Final Wrap-Up
Secret Realm Layer 2, Eastern Marsh Area.
When Nolan and his group followed the crowd here, battles between adventurers and monsters were already underway.
The silver-colored Petrified Ancient Tree stood right in the middle of the marsh, emitting a faint glow all around.
Since this was a marshy area with abundant Hydro elements, there were many Hydro Slimes present.
At a glance, over ten huge Hydro Slimes fought adventurers, with countless smaller ones, at least several dozen.
There were also many Geo Slimes and Hilichurls, even some defeated Ruin Guards in the marsh.
It seemed that among the adventurers here, there were some very powerful individuals.
Unlike humans, Slimes as elemental lifeforms had a big advantage in the marsh, barely hindered by the muddy, soggy ground.
Large Hilichurl Berserkers were fine, but smaller Hilichurls struggled more.
If they accidentally stepped into a larger marsh pit, they wouldn't need humans to deal with them; they would sink themselves, especially the charging hilichurls carrying torches.
Their troublesome way of charging around swinging torches was of no use here.
After running a few steps, they would be exhausted by the soft and soggy marsh ground.
Although it was equally difficult for human adventurers, more and more people were gathering here, and sooner or later, they would emerge as the victors of this battle as long as nothing unexpected happened.
"Raging Flame, pierce through!" A loud roar rang from the battlefield, drawing many gazes.
Nolan also looked over.
The bald, square-faced young adventurer from before reappeared, the one Fischl had called rude.
His muscular arm was wrapped in a rich red Pyro element, piercing through a large Hydro Slime directly, with wisps of steam rising around it.
It was obvious that the Pyro element's attack on the Hydro element-based Hydro Slimes triggered an elemental reaction between them—Vaporize.
This was an elemental reaction that could amplify the power of the current attack by 1.5x. A very potent reaction.
"Amazing, is this the power of a Vision holder?"
"He seems to be the leader of the Dark Adventure Team, Arron!"
"I heard he's someone who treats his companions and himself equally strictly."
"Joining his adventure team isn't difficult, but many people leave sadly afterward because they can't handle the intensity of his training. It's a shame."
Nolan listened to the discussions of the adventurers around him regarding the buzz-cut youth, feeling somewhat surprised.
A Vision wielder, huh?
This was Nolan's first encounter with a Vision holder outside of the original characters from the story.
However, he didn't dwell on it. Although Vision wielders were rare, there were more of them than just the few characters that appeared in the original story.
After a brief preparation.
Nolan and his group of three also joined the battle. The marshy environment with abundant Hydro elements was actually advantageous for them.
Fischl's mastery of the Electro element could trigger the Electro-Charged reaction with the Hydro element, causing widespread damage to Hydro-attached monsters.
Bennett could also trigger the Vaporize reaction, greatly amplifying his attack power.
Nolan's dual-elemental potion of Electro and Pyro was also very useful here.
Oz flitted through the battlefield, each Thunder Bolt he spat out Electrocuteing and Paralyzing monsters, providing openings for other adventurers.
Not only damaging foes, the paralysis also restricted their actions afterwards, offering allies favorable attack opportunities.
In the area where Electro-Charged reactions occurred, they didn't dare to get too close. After all, in the conductive marshland, it was hard to distinguish friend from foe.
Nolan took an Electro Element potion and smashed it into a pile of small water slimes. The Thunder Element burst forth, and notifications started flooding his character panel.
Adventure EXP +32
Adventure EXP +29
Adventure EXP +37
Just over 200 Adventure EXP gained, making Nolan regret wasting potions for momentary satisfaction.
With his current swordsmanship, dealing with these weak Hydro slimes barely required a second strike.
Same for the Hilichurls. His Level 20 Dull Blade was like a divine weapon in his hands, channeling his full strength to swiftly and elegantly defeat foes, dazzling the adventurers around him.
They seemed to wonder when such a formidable figure had emerged in the Adventurers' Guild.
After a long while, the monsters were ultimately defeated by humans. In the absence of reinforcements, they were gradually consumed by the constantly incoming human adventurers.
The last Hilichurl Berserker, muddied from head to toe, fell to Bennett's strike. No monsters remained standing in the marsh area.
The final grand prize—the Petrified Ancient Tree—was right before their eyes!
As Adventurers' Guild members, savage fighting over the coveted treasure wouldn't happen. (T/N: AKA no Chinese BS fighting over Jade Beauty!)
When it came to this kind of situation, the Adventurers' Guild's role manifested itself again.
Under everyone's witness, they used the Original Resin to activate the petrified ancient tree and meticulously recorded everything they obtained.
The Adventurers' Guild would later exchange them for equivalent Mora, then evaluate each adventure team's contribution in this battle and distribute accordingly.
Using the Mora allocated based on contributions, adventurers could purchase treasures extracted from the petrified ancient tree. The greater the contribution, the higher the priority in purchasing, until all allocated Mora was used up.
This was considered to be as fair and just as possible.
Every adventure group's accomplishments were witnessed by everyone present. Regardless of whether the gains were large or small, they were all deserved.
After confirming that everything was in order, which might take some time, the distribution of spoils would be arranged for tomorrow morning.
Having successfully found the biggest treasure, the Petrified Ancient Tree, there was nothing much to expect in the Secret Realm anymore. The treasure chests and whatnot were probably already discovered by the adventurers as well.
Indeed, in their remaining explorations, Nolan's group only encountered scattered monsters, not a single treasure chest was seen.
Left with no choice but to begin the return trip early.
But fortunately, it wasn't without gains. During the boring adventure just now, Fischl occasionally mentioned her past in the Immernachtreich. Nolan could also follow her lead and say a few words.
He successfully gained her affection twice, and her affection level increased by one level, reaching Lv.6 (50/600).
He was not far from reaching the maximum affection level.
Among the girls Nolan knew, Fischl currently had the highest affection level toward him, perhaps because he was one of the few who could understand her.
In terms of Adventure EXP, there were also over two thousand in total, plus the two Primogems he bought, which were also very good.
Under the brilliant sunlight,
When Nolan and his three companions returned to Mondstadt, it was just around noon, and their adventure in the Secret Realm came to a perfect conclusion.

Chapter 80: Chapter 80: A Tingling Little Punishment (2-in-1 Chapter)
Mondstadt, City Gate Area.
"Nolan, Miss Fischl, adventuring with you two has been smoother than ever before. I hope we can explore more secret realms together in the future!"
Bennett rubbed his head and grinned brightly.
"As the Prinzessin der Verurteilung of the Immernachtreich, even in the face of ominous fate, I can only tremble and retreat!"
Fischl raised her chin slightly, hands on her hips. Her slender fingers, white against the slightly exposed triangle-style black silk bodysuit, rested on her abdomen.
Through the semi-sheer hosiery, one could clearly see the slight indentations where her fingertips pressed into the soft, snow-white skin.
The breeze brushing along the ground caused the hem of her black-and-purple dress to flutter slightly. Fischl gently pursed her lips before continuing, "Brave attendants, your valor deserves to be remembered in the Immernachtreich!"
"Miss says she's also happy to adventure with everyone." Oz relayed.
Nolan likewise smiled and said, "Then let's form a team again if there are more secret realms to explore in the future, when we're all free."
"Great!"
Bennett gave a thumbs up, his thumb smudged with dirt from their battles, and grinned.
The exploration of the Thousand Winds Temple's Secret Realm was basically over, and the adventuring party formed temporarily for this Secret Realm exploration had also disbanded for now.
Bennett had his own adventure team, even if it was just himself for now, and Fischl had her work as an investigator for the Adventurers' Guild.
Everyone had only temporarily gathered together for the secret realm exploration, and it was impossible to maintain this adventuring party indefinitely.
However, if there were similar secret realm explorations in the future and everyone was available, continuing to team up was not out of the question.
[Illuminated By The Radiance Of Dreams And Hope, Obatined 6000 Adventure EXP.]
On his way back home, Nolan used the two Primogems he had bought, bringing his Adventure EXP up to over eight thousand.
He pondered how to use it.
First, he needed to level up, but before that, he could allocate some Adventure EXP to max out the "Favonius Swordsmanship - Royal" that he learned from Eula.
Adventure EXP -1700
Favonius Swordsmanship - Royal Lv. 8 (0/800)
Favonius Swordsmanship - Royal Lv. 10 (Flickering Candlelight)
It was the familiar process again; new knowledge and techniques about 'Favonius Swordsmanship - Royal' appeared in his mind, which he slowly absorbed and transformed into instinctive experience.
The extraordinary trait "Flickering Candlelight" unlocked at max level was, like the previous skills, an amplification of the skill's innate characteristics to extraordinary levels.
The characteristic of Favonius Swordsmanship - Royal was integrating the dance steps of "Sacrificial Ceremony: Act III: Flickering Candlelight" to make the swordsmanship as fluid as a dance, with power following the heart's lead.
Every sword swing could perfectly coordinate with every part of the body, orderly and without any mistakes in exerting force.
Perhaps this was why Eula's swordsmanship appeared so gentle and elegant.
After upgrading his swordsmanship, Nolan had over six thousand three hundred Adventure EXP left, just enough to level up to level twenty-four.
Adventure EXP - 6278
Lv. 21 (322/2100)
Lv. 24 (0/2400)
The instant his level increased, Nolan felt every cell in his body wrapped in warmth, like the morning sun, a gentle breeze, like...a girl's soft embrace.
He remembered back in the secret realm, when he had tackled Fischl to the ground to protect her from the Ruin Hunter's attacks, his face had been buried in her belly, and he'd even had some trouble breathing.
Although it wasn't very proper, it still counted as experiencing a girl's warm embrace.
Name: Nolan Walker
Level: Lv. 24 (0/2400)
Race: Human
Title: None
Innate Talent: Entangling Affection
Skills: Favonius Hunter's Archery Lv.10 (Advanced Stability/Silent Shadow), Favonius Swordsmanship - Royal Lv.10 (Flickering Candlelight), Stealth Assassination Lv.4 (0/400), Martial Arts Lv.2 (0/200), Favonius Swordsmanship - Fundamentals Lv.1 (1/100)
Specialties: [Descender],[Maiden Savior],[Monster Slayer],[Abundant Life]
Adventure EXP: 69
Looking at the character panel that had changed quite a bit, Nolan felt a slight sense of nostalgia as his Adventure EXP were once again depleted.
But he didn't feel any regret; after all, Adventure EXP didn't disappear, they just transformed into a better form to accompany him.
With his slightly hungry stomach, Nolan quickened his pace on the way home.
When Nolan approached the gate of his home on Val Berry Street, he was somewhat surprised to see a woman wearing a deep blue pointed witch's hat standing in front of the iron railings.
Looking at her side, a name popped up in Nolan's mind - Lisa.
The librarian of the Knights of Favonius, a graceful lady with a lazy elegance and a mind full of books. A few days ago when he had borrowed the skill books 'Favonius Swordsmanship - Fundamental' and 'Favonius Archery - Fundamental', she was the one who had registered them at the library.
So why would Miss Lisa come here? He didn't think they had interacted much yet...was it about the books?!
Suddenly, Nolan seemed to realize something and stopped in his tracks, then swallowed nervously as his body tensed up.
Having played Genshin Impact before, although he wasn't a lore enthusiast, he still had some knowledge about the storyline and character backgrounds.
For example, this librarian Miss Lisa, she did indeed have a lazy and troublesome-avoiding attitude towards life. Even the task of preparing potions for herself, she would delegate to Kaeya, the Cavalry Captain of the Knights of Favonius.
Sometimes, she would even let the Acting Grand Master Jean, who went for a morning run with Amber, bring back breakfast for her while she continued sleeping.
But when it came to matters concerning books, Miss Lisa would personally handle them. Only in this way could she be at ease.
So now, if someone was late returning borrowed books, it made sense for the librarian to come looking for them.
And that meant things weren't looking good.
Bothering her like this would surely lead to a scolding. If he happened to catch her in a bad mood, there might even be a chance to experience firsthand the mysteries of lightning magic.
And at this moment, Nolan also somewhat uneasily remembered that he had borrowed two books that seemed to be overdue by several days.
"Oh, little adventurer, you're back~"
Miss Lisa, the librarian, turned around and looked at Nolan from afar, a smile on her fair face as she spoke in a slightly teasing tone.
She slowly walked towards Nolan.
Her legs, clad in over-the-knee black lace stockings, lightly crossed as she walked, and the rose lantern hanging from the pointed corner of her witch hat swayed slightly.
The rhythm set by her shiny black high heels felt like stepping on his heart, leaving Nolan uncertain about what Lisa intended to do. He instinctively took a step back with his right foot and said,
"Uh... Miss Lisa, are you here to retrieve the borrowed books? It's not necessary to trouble yourself; I can return them later, right?"
"Oh? Just realized you need to return them now? Isn't it a bit too late for that? After all, because of you, I won't be able to take my afternoon nap today!"
Lisa stopped in front of Nolan, her right hand raised slightly, with faint sparks of lightning flashing at her fingertips.
"I'm sorry, Miss Lisa, I forgot about it. I'm really sorry!"
He didn't have reason on his side. All words were meaningless. Avoiding responsibility would be looked down on, so Nolan obediently lowered his head and admitted his mistake.
Nolan knew that even if he got zapped by Lisa, it would probably just be a tingly sensation and wouldn't actually harm him.
"The little adventurer has a good attitude. No wonder you could become Eula's friend~"
Lisa dispelled the sparks at her fingertips and smiled unsurprisingly, hands clasped together.
Clearly, she wasn't totally unfamiliar with Nolan.
Just the fact that he lived in the Lawrence residence said a lot already - after all, not every adventurer could afford to rent there.
[Lisa Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 60 Affection Points. Current Affection Level Lv.1 (60/100)]
Seeing the Affection increase pop up on his status panel, Nolan breathed a small sigh of relief. At least he didn't need to worry about her disliking him.
"Speaking of Miss Eula, I'm very grateful to her for teaching me swordsmanship and renting me such a delicate independent courtyard,"
Nolan nodded and said with a smile.
"Oh? She's even teaching you swordsmanship? How unexpected. I'll let the overdue books slide for now, but as a small punishment, come with me to collect other overdue books. I'll have you carry the books."
Lisa's outfit was somewhat like a cheongsam, but with a skirt-like lower portion. The slits at the sides revealed a glimpse of black lace-patterned shorts and her snowy, soft thighs.
Nolan glanced at the purple Vision hanging on her chest, and didn't dare ask the foolish question of why she didn't just store the books inside it.
After all, she had said it was a punishment.
He subtly touched his slightly hungry stomach and forced a smile as he said, "Um, Miss Lisa, can I go back and cook lunch first? I'm a bit hungry after just coming back from an adventure."
"No can do. If we collect the books any later, I really will miss my afternoon nap time. If your stomach is hungry, please bear with it a while, little adventurer~"
Lisa with her deep blue pointed witch's hat folded her arms under her chest and smiled.
I knew that's how it would be.
"Then let me go grab the two books," Nolan said, a little helplessly.
"As part of your punishment for forgiveness, bring them yourself to the library to return tomorrow."
Lisa flicked back her chestnut-colored hair, then lowered her arms and turned, signaling for Nolan to follow.
Nolan was not the only one who had overdue books to return to the library. He was just the first person to be visited by Lisa; there were five more people she needed to visit.
It seemed that there were quite a few book lovers in Mondstadt.
Lisa brought Nolan to the blacksmith's first. At first, he thought it was Wagner who had borrowed books, since he was so busy with work that forgetting to return them was possible.
It turned out, somewhat unexpectedly, that it was Schutz who had borrowed a huge pile of smithing-related books. Then he didn't have time to read them, and didn't even know the due date had passed.
In the end, he got a severe scolding from Miss Lisa. Wagner and Nolan by the side truly felt the librarian's oppressive aura.
Schutz could only repeatedly promise to never do it again.
When leaving the blacksmith's shop, Nolan had three thick books, each as thick as two fingers, in his hands, making it a bit awkward to carry.
The second person to be visited was Margaret, the owner of the Cat's Tail tavern. As both were ladies, Lisa treated Miss Margaret much more gently, just like a normal conversation between ladies.
In the end, Miss Margaret just apologized briefly and returned a book titled "Cat Fur Care," and that was it.
Watching it really made Nolan feel bad for Schutz and herself.
By the time two more people were visited, Nolan had seven books in his hands, and they were all quite thick.
Fortunately, he had good strength and quick stamina recovery, so holding them for a long time didn't tire him out.
"Two o'clock, just one more left. Looks like I can get back in time for a good afternoon nap~"
Lisa took out a silver-purple metal pocket watch and glanced at it, speaking in a somewhat lazy tone.
Phew, Nolan also breathed a sigh of relief, finally able to go back and eat.
"Let's go, 23 Windwheel Aster Street." Lisa had already memorized the information of those who hadn't returned their borrowed books.
"Uh-huh." Nolan carefully answered while holding a bunch of books.
Shortly after, when Nolan and Lisa arrived at a residence and knocked on the wooden door, an elderly grandma came out.
She carefully glanced at the two of them and then spoke slowly, "Who...are you looking for?"
"Ma'am, we're looking for Fenny. We're here to remind him to return the books he borrowed from the library," Lisa said with a gentle expression.
"Oh, looking for my grandson? He said a few days ago that he successfully joined a powerful adventure team and went for closed-door training for a few days. He's not at home now," the old grandma replied.
"Closed-door training?" Nolan was a bit puzzled. Did joining an adventure team involve this kind of thing? Or was it a requirement for large adventure teams with strict management?
Lisa's eyes flickered when she heard this, and she smiled slightly before continuing to ask, "Since Fenny isn't here, we shouldn't disturb you further. Can you tell us which adventure team he joined?"
"Of course...you may." The white-haired grandma nodded slowly. "I think it was called something Verdant...oh right, it was called 'Verdant Wings'."
"Verdant Wings," Nolan repeated softly.
"Oh? Little adventurer, do you know this adventure team?" Lisa touched the wide brim of her hat with a hint of doubt in her eyes as she looked at Nolan.
"Um, I seem to recall that they distributed flyers for recruiting novice adventurers on the streets some time ago," Nolan said, feeling familiar with the name and successfully recalling it after a moment of thought.
"How troubling~" Lisa let out a soft sigh. "Just now I sensed a little, and discovered the borrowed book isn't here at all."
She had placed elemental markers on every book in the Knights of Favonius library, so it wasn't difficult to sense their locations.
"Little adventurer, let's go. Let's go get the book back." Lisa's fair face showed a calm expression as she spoke.

Chapter 81: Chapter 81: Diary (2-in-1 Chapter)
Mondstadt City, East District.
The newcomer adventurer named Fenny probably didn't keep the borrowed books at home, but carried them along with his luggage when he went for the closed-door training with the 'Verdant Wings' Adventure Team.
In this way, with the elemental markers on them.
Miss Lisa, the librarian, easily found its location; it was at the residence of the Verdant Wings Adventure Team in Mondstadt.
"How magnificent it is~" Lisa raised the chestnut-colored tips of her hair, tied with a blue rose hairband on the left side, and smiled slightly on her fair face.
Appearing in front of Nolan and Lisa was a large gray building with golden wing patterns painted on the brick walls, looking somewhat luxurious.
It can only be said that it is worthy of being a large adventure team with dozens of people.
"Are you two here for something?" When Nolan and Lisa approached the gate of the building, they were stopped by two youths dressed as adventurers.
"Oh~ A little guy named Fenny in your adventure team borrowed a book from the library and has been overdue for several days. Please let him know to return it."
Lisa crossed her arms around her chest, and a faint smile appeared on her fair face under the brim of her witch's hat.
"Returning books?" One of the brown-haired young adventurers seemed to have heard something funny and said, "I thought it was something important. It's just a book. Is it necessary to go through all this trouble to come here?"
"That's right, we have rules in our adventure team.
New adventurers like Fenny need to undergo a period of closed-door training to learn various wilderness survival skills. We don't have time to meet with you,"
Another young adventurer said with a helplessly expression.
"Surely you can spare a little time just to return a book. I can't accept such an excuse~"
The brim of her hat slightly shadowed her smile, as she spoke.
'Hey, hey, guys, have you ever been to the Knights of Favonius library? Can't you recognize this beautiful lady standing in front of you...'
Nolan clearly felt that the mood of the Rose Witch beside him was a little bad.
"Uh, how about this, Fenny the newbie really doesn't have time. How much does the book he borrowed cost? We'll buy it with Mora."
The young adventurer with short brown hair, who initially wanted to dismiss Nolan and Lisa, suddenly noticed the purple Vision hanging on Lisa's chest.
Although it may just be an accessory, just to avoid trouble for the adventure team, he forcibly restrained his originally arrogant and unruly personality.
If it was just an ordinary Vision holder, it would be fine, but if they caused trouble for their "Verdant Wings," they might not get away with it.
But when the Vision holder, a woman, and a book were combined, it would inevitably be associated with the librarian of the Knights of Favonius.
If the secrets of the adventure team were noticed by the Knights of Favonius just because of some unknown damn book, he would definitely be screwed.
"Buy it? Sorry... books from the Knights of Favonius library are not for sale~"
Lisa raised her hand slightly, stroked her soft lips with the back of her fingers, and then the green pupils seemed to flash as she said:
"Oh my, it seems you don't want us to see the young Fenny for some reason, why is that?"
"I told you, he doesn't have time. He has to complete the training. Why don't you come back in a few days!"
Another member of the Verdant Wings Adventure Team heard the mention of the Knights of Favonius and looked cautious, but still spoke in an impatient tone.
Are they still struggling with this reason? What closed-door training? This lie might work on the old folks, but to real adventurers, it's full of loopholes.
For adventurers, there is no more effective training than hands-on exploration in the wilderness!
After all, as long as you don't go too far from Mondstadt and avoid dangerous places, you basically won't encounter any danger.
"How troublesome~ Although I'm just a civilian staff member of the Knights of Favonius, I can't ignore some potential dangers."
With her long legs wrapped in lace-trimmed thigh-high stockings, Lisa took a step forward, her fingertips under the black gloves flashing with lightning.
She didn't mean to attack, she just wanted to scare them a little to see if they would reveal anything.
"Bastard, what are you trying to do?"
As expected, the two "Verdant Wings" adventurers, a little overly nervous, took a step back and raised their single-handed swords they carried with them, while being cautious.
The Knights of Favonius librarian was completely forgotten by them; they were not fools, and it was obvious that these two had discovered something.
At this moment, the others inside the residence also noticed the anomaly outside, and two relatively mature middle-aged adventurers came out, also armed.
Now, the abnormality shown by the "Verdant Wings" was already obvious.
After all, knowing that the other side was from the Knights of Favonius, yet still launching an attack without hesitation, something was definitely off.
They must have some secret they were willing to offend the Knights of Favonius to protect!
"Hehe, time for some electrocuting!"
Before their attack arrived, countless lightning bolts shot out from Lisa's fingertips, flickering like thunder in a rainy sky.
In an instant, the four were enveloped, and strange, slightly erratic screams immediately rang out.
Lisa clearly controlled the strength of the attack, just causing them to faint and temporarily lose their ability to resist.
Looking at their miserable state, Nolan felt a tingling sensation all over his own body as well.
"Let's go, little adventurer~ We'll go in and see what these guys are up to. Sigh...I just came out to collect a book, why do I always run into trouble~"
Lisa's snow-white arm under the purple shawl was folded slightly, cushioned on the soft undulating curves wrapped in the white fabric.
"Um... Miss Lisa, is it just us two? Should we notify the Knights first?"
It wasn't that Nolan doubted Lisa's ability to deal with an adventure team. He was worried about getting caught up in it himself.
After all, he was only level 24, having just Ascend once.
With two maxed-out skills and their "extraordinary attributes," he could probably handle people at level 30 or even 40 who hadn't Ascend a second time yet.
But the Verdant Wings was a large adventure team after all, with dozens of people. It was unlikely they didn't have at least two or three powerful characters leading the team.
So in all likelihood, they probably had people who had level 40 plus.
To play it safe, it would be best to notify the Knights first.
"Oh~ Little adventurer, aren't you underestimating me a bit too much~"
Stepping into the gray building, the slightly raised heel revealed a clear and gentle ankle curve under the tight black lace-trimmed thigh-high stockings.
The deep blue skirt tail, lifted by the calf, was more like the swaying sea.
"Uh, how could I..."
Although Nolan didn't know Lisa's exact strength, she definitely wouldn't be weaker than the captain-level figures of the Knights of Favonius, maybe even stronger.
"I'm just a little worried that I might hold Miss Lisa back," he added somewhat embarrassedly.
"Hmm~ I guess so." Under the pointed witch hat, Lisa's fair face showed a faint smile, "If there's any trouble later, I'll leave it to you, little adventurer."
"Me?"
Nolan doubted if he had misheard. Could he really solve this situation?
"Hehe, don't worry, I'll give you my blessing. Don't you want to show off your power in front of your big sis~"
Lisa's left hand curled up, gently stroking the chestnut tip of her side ponytail, her gaze towards Nolan carrying a hint of cunningness.
Nolan's gaze lightly touched hers and then moved away; he did find it a bit difficult to deal with such a gaze and could only nod his head.
Hopefully the "blessing" Lisa spoke of would be more powerful later if a conflict occurred.
[Lisa Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 80 Affection Points. Current Affection Level: Lv. 2 (40/200)]
"Hehe~ What big sis hates most is all kinds of trivial, annoying matters. If you do well, I'll prioritize you for any commissions I have in the future. The rewards will be especially generous~"
Lisa's Electro Vision pressed into the soft, snowy skin on her chest, leaving it slightly concave. Her face still wore a smile as she spoke.
You just want to find an errand boy, don't you? Nolan thought to himself speechlessly.
Of course, Nolan didn't refuse. After all, this was a great opportunity to continuously gain Lisa's affection.
Inside the base of the Verdant Wings adventure team was a square reception hall. Where there were only two adventurers who were easily defeated by Nolan with his Dull Blade.
He gained a total of 635 Adventure EXP. It could only be said to be slightly stronger than the large slimes he had encountered before.
Lisa watched as Nolan displayed swordsmanship highly similar to Eula's. A hint of wonder appeared in her green pupils.
His swordsmanship was already on par with Eula's, wasn't it? Had Eula put a lot of effort into teaching him? Or was the little adventurer truly so talented with the sword?
She knew Eula, even though she was friends with the little adventurer, their time together wouldn't have been very long.
Otherwise, she would have heard about it already.
So was it the latter? A genius at swordsmanship.
Nolan picked up the several books he had just put down before the battle and continued to follow Lisa towards their target in the adventurers' team's base.
And this target naturally was the book borrowed from the library and marked by Lisa.
Passing through the Verdant Wings Adventure Team's hall, they ascended to the second floor via the wooden staircase on the right. The corridor here was also made of brown wood.
Although this was the base of the adventurer team, it was unlikely that all dozens of people would be here at all times. Most of them should be out exploring and adventuring.
So, this was somewhat different from what Nolan had imagined earlier. He thought there might be some powerful individuals stationed here.
It seems he was a bit overly worried.
Except for the few resident adventurers they encountered at the beginning, Nolan and Lisa didn't encountered anyone else until they reached the room where the marked book was.
This room was not large, and the style was simple. There was only a barely sleepable large bed against the grayish-yellow wall, and a desk and chair with books on it.
The name of the book on the table was "An Adventurer's Fantastic Journey," which was precisely the one borrowed from the Knights of Favonius library. It looked like it was probably a personal travelogue or something similar from an adventurer.
"Oh my~ Although we didn't find the person, at least the book is undamaged here...Hmm?"
Lisa lightly picked up this not-too-thick book, only to discover a even thinner notebook beneath it.
Familiar with handling documents and books, she didn't feel unfamiliar with this either; it was a diary.
"Little adventurer~ Could you come and see what's written in the diary? Maybe there will be unexpected gains."
Lisa turned slightly, her black silk lace base shorts peeking out from the slit on the side of her robe, extending down to her lace-trimmed thigh-high stockings, which were soft and snow-white.
"Miss Lisa, you can look through it yourself; you see, I'm still holding these books."
Nolan lifted the books he was carrying and said.
"Reading someone else's diary is improper for a lady~ Little adventurer, you wouldn't want to see me being a bit indecent, would you~"
The rose-shaped lamp on the tip of the deep blue witch's hat swayed slightly left and right. Lisa put on a pretend hurt expression towards Nolan.
"Hehe. Alright then." Nolan smiled slightly helplessly.
As long as you don't read it yourself, it's not considered indecent, right? Nolan didn't continue to refuse either; after all, it was better to go along with the wishes of a lady who pretended to be modest.
[Lisa Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 60 Affection Points. Current Affection Level: Lv. 2 (100/200)]
Seeing the increase in affection, Nolan actually felt a little happy.
He placed the books in his hands on the table, then picked up the thin diary and gently separated the pages with his fingers.
He looked at the contents inside and read them loud so Lisa could hear:
[It rained today. Grandma stared out the window for a long time as if lost in thought. I guess she was thinking about Grandpa. It was on a rainy day like this that he...]
The writing further on was blurred by some water stains, making it a bit difficult to read.
Nolan skipped to the second paragraph of the diary.
[I want to become an adventurer as powerful as Grandpa. He was the holder of the Vision, and I saw him manipulate elemental power, making the windmills in the house spin. Grandma and I both laughed. If I had a Vision too, could I also make it move? If so-]
The writing here is blurry again.
[Great news! Today my friend told me the Verdant Wings adventure team is recruiting new adventurers. They have a way to let ordinary people obtain Visions. Hearing this, I was a little excited. So without hesitation, I told Grandma and joined the Verdant Wings with my friend.]
What a joke! A way to let ordinary people obtain Visions? Nolan was a little surprised reading this.
Even Lisa couldn't help but furrow her brows, lost in thought.
[Today I easily passed the evaluation and successfully joined the Verdant Wings! What's disappointing is that my good friend who came with me failed.]
This friend of his seems a bit problematic... Nolan thought from an outsider's perspective.
[Having just joined the adventure team, I eagerly asked Captain Sarah to let me see what the Vision obtained with the team's help looked like. Captain Sarah was very open about it. She showed me. Although the color seemed a little darker than Grandpa's, it was definitely a Vision. She even demonstrated summoning a water ball out of thin air!]

Chapter 82: Chapter 82: Inspector General
A gentle breeze blew into the room through the window, causing the deep blue robe covering the slender legs of the lady to sway backward, revealing a glimpse of the thigh-high black stockings wrapping around her legs.
Nolan felt the cool breeze and continued to calmly read the contents of the diary:
[Finally, on the fifth day after joining the adventure team, Captain Sarah said my evaluations were all good and I could receive a Vision. She said we'd go to a secret base the team set up in the wilderness. Hehe. This isn't surprising. An ability to grant Visions is definitely better kept secret.]
The diary ended there. He must have gone to that "wilderness base" and hadn't returned yet.
"Miss Lisa, is it really possible to grant Visions like the diary says?" Although Nolan already knew the answer, he still curiously asked.
From Nolan's understanding, this so-called Vision granting was, unsurprisingly, likely a type of imitation - the Delusions created by the Fatui.
These were the "Vision-like objects" that the Fatui had developed and used at great cost.
Delusions could also harness elemental energy, but the average mass-produced Delusions were probably slightly inferior to original Visions in performance.
However, the Delusions used by high-ranking Fatui like the Eleven Harbingers were likely much better.
After all, in the original game, Fatui's 11th of the Harbingers "Childe" Tartaglia already had a Vision, yet also used a Delusion.
From the battles shown in the story between the Traveler and him at the Golden House, he normally only used his Vision in combat, only relying on the Delusion when faced with challenging opponents.
From Childe's choice to treat the Delusion as his trump card, it could be seen that the Delusion he used was likely more powerful than his own Vision.
It should be a "Harbinger Exclusive Edition" different from ordinary Delusions
While Delusions weren't a huge secret, people without dealings with the Fatui most likely wouldn't know about them.
Nolan's curiosity was in line with his identity; after all, he was just a slightly capable ordinary adventurer.
"Oh my~ Little adventurer, don't get ideas about those things! Using them too much... will kill you!"
Lisa said with a faint smile.
She raised her right hand, reaching toward Nolan's face. He didn't dare move as the black glove stroked his cheek.
The texture of the fabric brushing his skin made him feel a little itchy. Then came the sharp crackling of electricity right by his ear.
Lightning flashed behind him and agonized groans rang out, but they didn't come from him.
Nolan quickly moved closer to Lisa, his gaze shifting to the original location, where a Fatui's Debt Agent was kneeling halfway on the ground, wearing a hooded cloak.
He was still holding a sharp sacrificial knife. This guy had stealthily approached Nolan from behind without him noticing at all.
Although he also knew the "Stealth Assassination Technique", it didn't give him any extra awareness toward others using the skill.
It took him a while before sensing an odd feeling in his surroundings and guessing someone was stealthed behind him.
This Fatui agent was definitely much stronger than him in combat... Nolan thought with some lingering fear. Luckily the formidable Miss Lisa was here.
"Hmph~ Looks like we've caught the main culprit~" Lisa's soft lips curled slightly.
"Caught? That's a bit too arrogant!"
Despite the paralyzing and searing pain from the electro attacks, the debt-collector forced himself up, slashing with the sacrificial knife as if to split the space itself.
But even though his strength was considerable, the paralysis in his body slowed down his movements significantly.
Nolan drew his sword, and the steel blade clashed with the sacrificial knife with a "ding" sound, then immediately bounced off each other.
The Debt Agent's strength seemed to be on par with Nolan's, even in the situation where his body was paralyzed by Lisa's electricity. It can only be said that he truly lived up to being a close combat elite.
Generally speaking, Nolan had the advantage in physical fitness during battles.
Because every time he leveled up, he could strengthen his body, a result that ordinary people could only achieve through lengthy training.
Of course, people in the Teyvat continent would also significantly enhance their bodies during ascensions.
Although Nolan's strengthening with each level-up wasn't as impactful as their single ascension effect, the cumulative strengthening from level one to twenty was much more powerful than what they achieved by reaching level twenty and then ascending once.
In summary, judging from this, the debt-collector's strength should be at the second ascension.
But most likely, he hadn't yet undergone the third ascension, otherwise, even if paralyzed by electricity, Nolan might not have been able to withstand that blow.
However, even if he managed to block it, it wouldn't matter much, as the debt agent's task didn't primarily rely on physical prowess.
After the debt agent's strike was blocked, the slightly purplish sacrificial knife suddenly burst into red flames, distorting the surrounding air.
Another slash came through the air!
Nolan, relying on his superb swordsmanship, mobilized the power of his entire body, using the sword as a pivot to gently divert the force coming from the debt agent's blade to the side.
"What?!" Heston, the Fatui's Debt Agent and Inspector General, was slightly surprised.
This slash, imbued with pyro elemental energy, was actually blocked by what seemed to be an ordinary young adventurer using regular swordsmanship?
A Chance!
Taking advantage of his momentary distraction, Nolan's three-foot-long dull blade, like a silver serpent, sliced toward the debt agent's neck.
In this disadvantaged situation, Nolan wouldn't show mercy just to interrogate him for information!
Heston looked at the glinting tip of the sword, his pupils slightly contracting under the black mask. His leg muscles tensed as he jerked his head back to dodge.
But due to the lingering paralysis from the electrocution, his body was still somewhat numb. He only felt a brief coolness on his neck before the wetness of the liquid.
Having dodged to the wall, Heston leaned back against it, panting. He touched his throat and saw his leather glove completely stained red with blood.
The skin of his throat had been cut, stinging slightly from the exposure to air.
Uncontrollable fury surged into Heston's mind. He, an Inspector of the Fatui, had actually been wounded by some brat!
...Phew, Heston took a deep breath to calm his emotions, it wasn't impulse that allowed him to sit in this position.
That was in addition to his loyalty to Her Majesty, it was also because he could maintain his composure and take rational action in a crisis!
Those lacking this quality were not far from being buried in a foreign land!
It wouldn't be hard for Heston to deal with the brat.
But there was also the librarian of the Knights of Favonius here who could easily detect him even stealthed and incapacitate him with a light electrocution!
Heston knew he had to find a way to retreat now, or he would likely perish here.

Chapter 83: Chapter 83: Magic Blessing: Lighting Rose
Seeing the debt-agent not far away in the room, Nolan didn't make the first move without certainty, lest he expose an opening and get countered.
After all, he had just successfully dodged that sword strike, only sustaining a minor cut.
"Not bad dealing with him, little adventurer~ But it'll still take a bit more to decide the victor!"
Lisa pursed her lips slightly, smiling as she spoke.
She hadn't expected the young adventurer to give her a slight surprise. After all, the strength of this debt agent was not to be underestimated.
Though it was also because she had shocked him beforehand.
She raised the hand wearing the black glove to her chest, gently flipping her palm upwards. The sizzling thunder flickered within it, gradually forming a rose composed of accumulated electro elements.
"Since that's the case, let big sister give you a little blessing~"
Lisa gently patted the Lighting Rose on the young adventurer's back. A numb, tingling sensation instantly spread through Nolan's body, not painful yet still making him tingle.
Lasting less than a second, the tingling sensation gathered into his right hand, holding the Dull Blade +20, before gushing forth.
The Dull Blade was suddenly covered in flickering, dancing currents of lightning.
"This is?"
Nolan looked in astonishment at the Electro-element-infused Dull Blade. He also felt that his body seemed to have become lighter.
"It's a magical blessing from your big sis~ It can imbue your one-handed sword with electro for a long time, increasing its power considerably. Consider it a small achievement in my magical research."
Lisa's fair arms crossed slightly over her chest as she explained with her lips slightly parted, moving up and down.
"I see, magic." Nolan nodded in understanding.
The magic Lisa wielded was different from the ancient magics of the Abyss Mages that could directly control elemental energy.
It was more like research and experimentation on various ways and the essence of manipulating elemental power, without directly controlling it.
And when the Vision appeared in her hands, it was like obtaining a key to unleash elemental power from the theoretical knowledge gate.
Creating such a minor magic wasn't hard for Lisa, a once-in-two-centuries genius of Sumeru Akademiya.
"Mm-hmm~ Go on, don't disappoint big sis now!" Lisa said smilingly behind an upraised hand.
On the other side, when Inspector General Heston, the debt agent, noticed that Nolan seemed to have become more formidable, he re-entered stealth mode and ran towards the window before either of them could react.
Since it was clear that he couldn't defeat the Knights of Favonius' librarian, it was time to retreat!
At the same time, what puzzled Hesdan was why their cooperation with the Verdant Wings Adventure Team had been very covert. Why the sudden visit?
The Verdant Wings' outward behavior was also normal. They didn't even have a strong attitude towards the new adventurers they recruited.
Before officially leaving Mondstadt for their base, they had carefully and cautiously deceived the newcomers to avoid arousing suspicion.
If there was too much commotion and it attracted the Knights of Favonius, as it was now, things would become extremely troublesome!
Heston couldn't quite figure this out.
He had been on the second floor and rarely showed his face, so he didn't know about Nolan and their conversation with the two young adventurers at the door.
Otherwise, learning it was due to a book brought by Fenny, he would've been furious enough to knock his mask off!
As Heston was about to step out of the window, a long sword entwined with thunderlight blocked his path before him.
This time, he didn't dare to take it lightly. If he was hit by such a sword strike, under the paralysis of the electro element, he probably wouldn't have a chance to continue fleeing.
Heston lifted his sacrificial knife to block head-on. Purple lightning bursts out between the knife and sword edges.
After a brief stalemate, he had to pull back, because the lightning on the sword turned into thorny rose vines that slowly crept along his blade.
Fortunately, as a specially crafted weapon, it had decent resistance to elements, slightly slowing down the spread of the Lighting Rose.
"Damn it!" Heston cursed angrily.
Nolan didn't give him a chance to catch his breath. With the Dull Blade imbued with Lisa's magic electro element, its attack power was now on par with this debt enforcer.
Furthermore, he could match him in strength, and his swordsmanship level was far beyond his combat skills.
Plus he had been struck by Lisa's electro attacks earlier!
With so many advantages, if he still lost, not only would Lisa be disappointed, but Nolan would also be disappointed in himself.
As the battle broke Heston's stealth, he had to once again mobilize the power of his Delusion to guide the pyro elemental power to clash with the sword coming at him.
The overload reaction between the electro and pyro elements burst forth, and both of them took a slight step back.
"Come on, again!"
Nolan chuckled lightly, then raised the Dull Blade in his right hand and thrust it towards the debt enforcer again.
Superficially, it was just an ordinary thrust, but in essence, it utilized the extraordinary characteristics of the "Favonius Swordsmanship - Royal" to concentrate all his strength into a powerful strike.
Sure enough, the debt agent, looking at the seemingly slow thrust, still attempted to block it with his sacrificial knife, but in the next moment, he was forcefully pushed back by the sudden increase in power.
Then, the lightning-blinking sword tip pointed directly at Heston's throat, but Nolan stopped the force, halting it just as it touched his skin.
Then, the electro element spread throughout his body, and in no time, he was electrocuted and collapsed to the ground.
[Defeated A Powerful Enemy, Obtained 1223 Adventure EXP.]
"Phew... Miss Lisa, it should be fine now, right?" Nolan let out a breath of relief after the tense fight upon seeing the notification.
"Oh my~ Little adventurer, you did great!" Lisa nodded, the little rose lamp on her witch hat's tip swaying twice.
[Lisa Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 120 Affection Points. Current Affection Level Lv.3 (20/300)]
Lisa preferred not to trouble herself if she could avoid it, so naturally, she was happy when enemies could be dealt with without her having to intervene. And for the greatest contributor, Nolan, she couldn't help but feel a little affection.
"Well, Miss Lisa, what should we do next?" Nolan asked with some confusion.
This Verdant Wings adventure team clearly had some collusion with the Fatui. Otherwise, the debt-agent wouldn't coincidentally appear here.
They even seemed hostile toward them.
"Sigh, I'm just a librarian. Why do I keep running into trouble... Let's take him back for the other Knights to interrogate properly."
Lisa strode over to the unconscious debt-agent in her black lace-trimmed thigh highs.
She slowly crouched down while lifting up the sides of her deep blue skirt, tucking it between her folded thighs and calves so it wouldn't touch the floor and get dirty.
Reaching out, Lisa took the dark red Delusion pinned to the debt-agent's chest into her hand. She chuckled and said:
"This thing has nice research value. I'll hold onto it for a while~"

Chapter 84: Chapter 84: Kaeya
"This thing looks quite similar to the Vision," Nolan said thoughtfully while examining the Delusion.
Lisa stood up slightly, her dress skirt sliding down from where it had been pinning it against her knee, gently brushing against her soft, slender legs covered in black thigh-high stockings.
She pursed her lips, her gaze twinkling with amusement as she looked at Nolan:
"It's the Delusion made by the Fatui, something that consumes one's life force when used. You're not thinking of using it, are you, little adventurer?"
"Of course not!"
Nolan was curious about the Delusion, but he had no immediate plans to actually use it.
After all, he had his character panel, so there was no need to risk consuming his life force by using any Delusions.
"Oh my~ Being curious about elemental power isn't a bad thing. If I could research a way to reduce the side effects of the Delusion, it wouldn't be too bad to reluctantly use it," Lisa said as she lightly clasped her hand to collect the Delusion.
Oh? Researching how to reduce the Delusion's side effects? Nolan's eyes lit up slightly.
For the talented witch Miss Lisa, this wasn't an impossible task. If she could really succeed, well, even if she couldn't completely eliminate the side effects, as long as they didn't harm him fundamentally, it would be awesome.
"Alright, let's notify the Knights of Favonius," Lisa's fair face showed a slightly relaxed expression, as if the trouble was about to be resolved.
She then had Nolan bring the apprehended individuals to the first floor, the main hall of the Verdant Wings Adventure Team.
Nolan found some sturdy rope and tied up all the unconscious people.
Meanwhile, Lisa went outside and waited for a Knight of Favonius who was patrolling the city to pass by. She informed him of the situation here.
Not going herself was mainly because she was worried that the unconscious people would wake up and run away, and with so many people, even Nolan couldn't bring them all to the Knights' HQ on his own.
Not long after, a tanned man with a black eyepatch over his right eye arrived, accompanied by seven or eight fully armored Knights of Favonius.
He looked somewhat surprised at the large group of people tied up in the main hall, then smiled and said:
"When I first received the news, I didn't quite believe that there was an adventurers' team in Mondstadt collaborating with the Fatui.
"But when I learned that it was you, Lisa, who sent the information, I knew the situation was real."
Kaeya flattered Lisa a little.
"Well, Kaeya, take them back and interrogate them thoroughly. This adventurers' team seems to have been deceiving some new adventurers into becoming test subjects for the Fatui to experiment with the Delusions!"
Lisa put together all the information she had gathered and quickly guessed an answer close to the truth.
"Oh, the Delusion, huh? It's been a long time since I've heard that name," Kaeya chuckled and nodded. "Don't worry, leave it to me. I'll extract every bit of information they know."
"By the way, who is this young adventurer?" Kaeya asked curiously, looking at Nolan standing nearby.
"Um, my name is Nolan. I forgot to return a book, so Miss Lisa dragged me along to help retrieve it. That's how I ended up here," Nolan answered truthfully.
As a fellow member of the Knights of Favonius, Kaeya would likely understand what he meant.
"I see. I have a general idea of what happened. Ah, you've really had a tough time," Kaeya said with some sympathy, understanding Lisa's temperament.
He remembered accidentally angering her before and getting shocked - just recalling that electric feeling made him shudder slightly.
"Hehe, well then, I'll leave this to you, Kaeya. We still need to return the books to the library. Let's go, little adventurer~"
Lisa hugged her arms and glanced at the tanned man, letting out a light laugh before calling Nolan to leave with the books.
Knights of Favonius Headquarters, Library.
After going through so much, by the time Nolan arrived at the Knights of Favonius library carrying a stack of books, it was already evening. He had just thought about grabbing dinner to fill his empty stomach.
However, Lisa called him over and instructed him to help organize the books in the library.
"I had originally planned to ask Noelle to help, but recently she's been tasked by Jean to look after little Klee, so she's unavailable. I have no choice but to ask for your help again. You wouldn't want to see your sister get so tired she can't even catch her breath, would you~?"
Lisa leaned slightly over the reception desk piled with books, her fair cheek resting on her snow-white arm. Her deep blue pointed witch's hat was tilted to one side, as if about to slide off.
"But..." Nolan pondered briefly, but couldn't seem to find a good reason to refuse.
Well, it was his fault for borrowing two books and not returning them on time. Helping organize some more books wasn't a big deal, and he could bear being hungry a while longer.
However, before Nolan could agree...
Lisa straightened the black high-heeled feet under the reception desk, crossing one over the other. The matching purple anklets she wore jingled against each other.
She smiled and continued:
"Little adventurer~ As I said before, if I have a commission, I'll consider you first. The reward will be very generous too. How about the improved Delusion, for example? Since it's spoils, you'll get a share."
After speaking, Lisa straightened her back, leaning against the wooden chair. Her legs, clad in over-the-knee black lace stockings, switched to a crossed position.
"Oh? So, Miss Lisa thought my earlier performance was not bad?"
Nolan wasn't overly excited. He remembered that Lisa had said she would prioritize him if he handled the trouble in the Verdant Wings Adventure Team well.
"Of course! Little adventurer, you fought quite evenly against that dangerous individual fellow who used the Delusion with just your simple swordsmanship. That's quite impressive!"
Lisa supported her cheek with her right hand, placing her left on her soft thigh, speaking seriously with a relaxed demeanor.
"If that's the case...hah, Miss Lisa, please feel free to instruct me with whatever you need!"
Nolan took a deep breath and smiled.
Organizing the library involved checking each bookshelf to see if any books were out of place, and then arranging them according to their labels. It was quite a substantial amount of work.
By the time it was all done, Lisa's shift had ended over ten minutes ago.
Nolan was then complained to by her for moving too slowly and delaying her quitting time.
In response, Nolan could only smile helplessly.
He hadn't been to the library many times and wasn't very familiar with which shelves the various books belonged to, so of course it took some time to find them. Going a bit slower was normal.
After clocking out, Lisa left the library with Nolan and they arrived at the Knights' main hall. Across from them, the door to the Acting Grand Master's office was open.
Kaeya, who they had just seen not long ago, was reporting to Grand Master Jean, but judging by his expression, it didn't seem to be going very smoothly.
At just that moment, Jean's line of sight met Lisa's.
Lisa's eyes widened slightly, like an employee who had just clocked out for the day only to run into her boss, who then instructed her to work overtime.
"Ugh," Lisa lowered her head, touching the brim of her pointed witch's hat and letting out a sigh.

Chapter 85: Chapter 85: Submitting Lead
"Oh? It's convenient that you two are here as well. Come over so we can discuss the aftermath and think of solutions together."
Kaeya turned slightly, looking through the doorway at Lisa and Nolan who had just come out of the library, and said to them in the main hall.
Kaeya's expression seemed somewhat helpless. Could it be that the interrogation didn't go smoothly?
Nolan guessed in his mind.
"Oh come on, I've already clocked out~" Lisa said, though she still moved her legs, clad in black thigh-high stockings, into the Acting Grand Master's office.
Nolan heard Kaeya seemed to call for him too, so he followed behind Lisa.
The Acting Grand Master's office was quite large. On the left was a reading and rest area, with wall-mounted bookshelves filled with books lining the wall. On the right was a rectangular dining table large enough to eat at.
Only in the center near the window was Grand Master Jean's workstation.
Jean, with her golden hair in a ponytail, rested her right elbow on the desk, her index finger lightly pressed against her lower lip, pondering as she explained:
"Lisa, the Fatui agent you and the others apprehended ended his own life during Kaeya's interrogation. We haven't obtained any useful information.
"With this lead cut off, it will be very difficult for us to find the Fatui's hidden base, and we have no way to rescue those deceived new adventurers. Do you have any suggestions on this?"
"That guy was an inspector. He kept shouting that he would gladly die for Her Majesty, The Tsaritsa. Quite an unexpectedly unyielding fellow," Kaeya shook his head slightly, saying helplessly.
No matter how skilled his interrogation methods were, they would have no effect on a dead man.
"Oh? That is a bit unexpected," Lisa said, hugging her snow-white arms crossed under her cloak, thinking for a moment before continuing, "Then...did you get anything out of the people from the Verdant Wings Adventure Team?"
Kaeya raised his hand in a gesture and explained:
"Those people did say everything they could. Only their leader and vice-leader knew the location of the hidden base.
"As for the other members, they really did go out into the wilderness on adventures. Only the leader and vice-leader would take a few new adventurers to the hidden base."
"In that case, it's going to be quite difficult. Perhaps we could post a 'missing persons' commission with the Adventurer's Guild. Some adventurers in the wild may have encountered them by chance," Lisa proposed a barely viable solution.
"We could also ask Miss Katheryne. From the commissions they've taken, we might be able to roughly determine the location of that hidden base," Kaeya stroked his dark chin and suggested as well.
"But all of this will take some time to be effective. I'm worried that the novice adventurers who were deceived won't be able to wait that long," Jean leaned back in her chair, addressing a problem that had to be faced.
If we're too late, those few new adventurers who were tricked could end up in more dangerous situations.
Inspector. Hearing Kaeya mention the debt agent's identity, Nolan thought of the not-so-strong debt agent Christie he had previously defeated.
Could this inspector be Christie's superior?
Thinking about it carefully, it seemed possible. After all, the two of them were operating in Mondstadt, and the Fatui wouldn't need to assign multiple inspector-level agents in one area.
Otherwise, who would the regular agents under them report to? There would be a high chance of functional interference.
As for each person leading their own team and commanding their own subordinates, that also didn't seem realistic.
As a foreign secret agent, it's not easy to lurk in Mondstadt peacefully, let alone arranging so many people. The Knights of Favonius aren't just sitting around.
So the probability was high that this inspector was Christie's superior.
Nolan asked Christie for contact information before, only for the sake of acquiring the debt agent's stealth techniques. If he were to really seek out Christie, he would inevitably fall into an ambush.
Therefore, after successfully acquiring the stealth assassination technique, he treated it as if the previous incident never happened.
But now it seems that Christie can be used as a lead to be handed over to the Knights of Favonius, and this is not for any personal gain.
After all, allowing the Fatui's agents to continue operating within Mondstadt is not a good idea, and speaking out could also help everyone. He, who values justice, is willing to do so.
After some thought, Nolan revealed the matter of the Debt Agent Christie to the others present.
He didn't hide any details either. Even if he concealed some minor issues, if they were discovered later, it could negatively impact how Grand Master Jean and Lisa viewed him.
Kaeya didn't matter, since Nolan couldn't gain affection with him, but creating a bad impression in the minds of the two ladies would make it difficult to increase his affection with them later.
So in this matter, it was better to be sincere.
"Oh my~ I didn't expect the young adventurer had encountered other Fatui agents. It makes Mondstadt, protected by high walls, seem like a leaky sieve," Kaeya first remarked with some sentiment, then continued happily:
"It seems the Fatui agent this young man encountered didn't have such steadfast willpower. He even gave up the secret arts he knew just to escape, hehe."
Lisa, wearing the pointed witch's hat, nodded too. At least they had some leads now. But suddenly her brow furrowed, as if realizing something, and she looked at Nolan with a dangerous gaze:
"So you're saying, little adventurer, you let a potentially dangerous person go free just to learn an infiltration technique?"
"Uh..." Nolan shifted his gaze away awkwardly. This was indeed the case, and he had considered that he might be asked this when telling them.
"Oh dear~ Looks like I'll have to give you a little shock~" Lisa's fingertips suddenly flickered with lightning. Nolan cringed and stepped back in fear, then heard her soft laughter:
"Hehe~ Just kidding~ The little adventurer's information was quite timely!"
[Lisa Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 120 Affection Points. Current Affection Level Lv.3 (140/300)]
Seeing Lisa's increased affection towards him, Nolan breathed a sigh of relief, thinking he was really about to get shocked!
"Yes, we can use this contact method to apprehend that Fatui agent. If there is an ambush, we can arrest them all at once!"
Grand Master Jean nodded slightly, her golden hair strands falling on her broad collar, her pale face relaxing a little.
[Jean Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 120 Affection Points. Current Affection Level Lv.2 (20/200)]
The contact method Kristie gave Nolan was to go to a meeting point and say a password, after which someone would naturally notify Kristie to meet with Nolan.
With no time to waste, Grand Master Jean personally led the people present into action.

Chapter 86: Chapter 86: Location
Mondstadt City, Dandelion Street.
Nolan and Kaeya, disguised so their identities weren't recognizable, entered a small tavern called "Blazing Flower". Grand Master Jean and Lisa waited some distance away outside.
This was the contact location Christie had given Nolan.
"Welcome! What would you two like to drink?" asked the young bartender in a black vest, wiping a glass. This small tavern's business was much more dismal compared to Cat's Tail and Angel's Share.
"I..." Nolan paused for a few seconds, then continued, "am looking for Christie."
The simple password Nolan and Kristie had agreed upon was "I am looking for Christie", but with a pause of a few seconds after saying "I".
The young bartender glanced at him with some surprise, put down the glass in his hand, and nodded, saying: "Understood, please wait."
The bartender turned and went upstairs. On his face, which Nolan couldn't see, the corners of his mouth curved into a smile.
Heh, so you finally came looking, Christie. Your time for revenge has come!
The bartender was also a Fatui agent, like Christie. This small tavern was a disposable base, generally used to bait and draw the attention of those with vested interests.
Just like some time ago, when Christie said he wanted to use it to ambush someone who had caused him trouble.
Without any surprises, it was this young man who arrived now, and he even brought a companion. Their vigilance was there, but it wasn't enough!
In order to improve the secrecy of rendezvous, the Fatui agents would gather at different meeting points around Mondstadt in turn, waiting for the inspector to come and assign missions. Today happened to be at this place.
Besides the inspector, the three-person squad was all present. Capturing these two wouldn't be a problem!
"Hehe, it seems we've found the right place, young adventurer," Kaeya, disguised as an ordinary adventurer, smiled.
As the captain of the Knights' cavalry, he could still sense the hint of malice revealed by the bartender just now.
"Hmm, I'll go get Grand Master Jean and the others."
Since they had already confirmed there were issues here, there was no need to keep up the act. Nolan took the opportunity while the bartender went upstairs to notify Grand Master Jean and Lisa to be ready.
When the bartender came down with Christie and another debt agents, they were completely dumbfounded to see the empty tavern hall, with the Acting Grand Master of the Knights of Favonius, the Chief Librarian, the Captain of the Cavalry, and a young adventurer who should have been properly dealt with by them!
"Run!"
Christie and the other debt agent exchanged glances, each running towards a window on opposite sides. The remaining bartender also reacted, running back upstairs.
Facing several high-ranking members of the Knights of Favonius, there was no way they could handle it.
The ambush they had set had been turned back on them!
"Well, to capture all of you, we even mobilized the Acting Grand Master. Do you think you can escape?"
Kaeya chuckled lightly, sweeping his longsword to freeze the window on the right side of the tavern hall with Frost Gnaw.
"No matter how fast you run, can you really outrun the lightning?" Lisa pursed her soft lips slightly, her right hand in a black glove pointing towards Christie running to the left window.
Several purple lightning bolts then shot from her index finger, enveloping Christie's body before she could react.
Christie Kristie was just about to step onto the windowsill to jump out when he suddenly felt a chill run through him. Immediately after, he lost control of his body, numb and paralyzed.
Bang!
Unable to stop her momentum, he crashed against the wall.
Christie collapsed on the ground, his body convulsing. Although he didn't lose consciousness, he could barely think clearly, only vaguely aware that he was still alive.
At the same time, Nolan quickly nocked an armor-piercing arrow on the bowstring, and when the arrow was shot, it was like a silent shadow.
Suddenly piercing through the air, it flew past the bartender's neck, grazing him, and landed on the staircase in front of him, leaving him stunned, unable to help but swallow hard.
"The next arrow will aim for your head!" Nolan threatened with a slight smile.
The young bartender Scuraia Ciman stiffly turned his head and surrendered, saying:
"Well...please calm down, we're willing to cooperate!"
The other debt agent, seeing there was no hope in fleeing, had to give up struggling. After all, facing such an incredible lineup from the Knights of Favonius, it was hard to imagine winning.
Further resistance would only increase their injuries.
"Oh my, at least they know when to quit," Lisa laughed lightly.
Grand Master Jean also nodded slightly and said, "Given the urgency, we should first find out the location of the Fatui's secret base and rescue the captives, then ask about the other details."
"We'll have to question them separately, can't give them a chance to coordinate," said the experienced Kaeya.
These Fatui agents did not have the courage of their superior Inspector Heston to commit suicide without revealing information. During Kaeya's interrogation, they successfully obtained the information about the secret base of the Foolish People and the Verdant Winds Adventure Team.
Then, under Grand Master Jean's command, Cavalry Captain Kaeya immediately led a squad of Knights out of the city to that secret location to rescue the deceived newbie adventurers.
Nolan didn't go with them. After all, the Knights of Favonius hadn't reached a point where they needed an ordinary adventurer to help carry out missions.
"Well, you really worked hard today, little adventurer~"
After the Knights of Favonius arrested the Fatui agents and brought them back, Lisa hugged her arms and smiled at Nolan.
"Haha, I'm still really happy I could help. If there's nothing else, I should get going."
Nolan's stomach had been rumbling for a while now. It was already evening and he hadn't even had his lunch yet.
"Your contributions to Mondstadt will not be forgotten," Grand Master Jean, wearing an off-the-shoulder top with her snowy back partially visible under her cloak, nodded slightly as she said this.
[Jean Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 60 Affection Points. Current Affection Level Lv.2 (80/200)]
"Thank you very much."
Nolan was still quite happy. If he contributed more in the future, Grand Master Jean might even give him an honorary knight title or something.
After bidding farewell to Lisa and Grand Master Jean, as Nolan was returning home, he passed by the Good Hunter Restaurant. The wafting aroma proved too much temptation, and he couldn't resist going in instead of going home to cook dinner.
After eating and drinking his fill at Good Hunter, Nolan returned home and lay on his bed, looking at the over 1,900 Adventure EXP on his character panel, not quite sure where to spend them.

Chapter 87: Chapter 87: Encounter Again
These Adventure EXP are still not enough to level up the characters for the time being. As for skills, Nolan thought it would be good to use them to upgrade the "Favonius Swordsmanship: Fundamentals" This way, he could quickly reach the maximum level and then fuse it with the "Favonius Swordsmanship: Royal"
Adventure EXP -1499
Favonius Swordsmanship: Fundamentals Lv.1 (1/100)
Favonius Swordsmanship: Fundamentals Lv.6 (0/600)
Knowledge about swordsmanship surfaced in Nolan's mind, appearing more basic and concise compared to the "Favonius Swordsmanship: Royal" style.
The deeper he practiced this swordsmanship, the more stable Nolan's foundation became. Regardless of which swordsmanship he used, he would become more proficient.
Nolan casually swung his sword a few times in the room, and the airflow caused the candlelight to extinguish.
The next morning, Nolan first went to the Adventurers' Guild to collect the reward for clearing the Petrified Ancient Tree in the secret realm—a sum of 500,000 Mora.
This was already a substantial amount. Even though he had put in considerable effort during the monster clearing process and his contributions were among the highest, there were simply too many people involved - dozens or even hundreds of adventurers participating together.
After distributing a small share to each person, and dividing up the treasures dropped by the Petrified Ancient Tree, this 500,000 Mora for Nolan also included the materials dropped by the monsters he defeated.
Most adventurers whose contributions were lower only received 20,000 to 30,000 Mora in total.
In addition to the 500,000 Mora, Nolan also had priority to purchase the treasures dropped by the Petrified Ancient Tree.
Unfortunately, the Petrified Tree in this secret realm didn't yield any legendary five-star artifacts, which had been rumored. Otherwise, he would have been interested.
There were a few four-star artifacts, but with 500,000 Mora, he could only exchange for one. It wasn't enough to buy more lower-tier artifacts for fusion and enhancing. Carrying around a single base 4-star artifact wouldn't be very useful either.
So it was better to save the money to buy Primogems instead.
Sadly, Primogems were far too rare. The Adventurer's Guild didn't have any in stock.
As Nolan was contemplating this and about to leave the Adventurer's Guild, Miss Katherine called him over and issued an additional 200,000 Mora reward for being the initial discoverer of the secret realm.
This surprised Nolan a bit, as it had been quite some time ago and he had almost forgotten about it himself.
Noelle and Vile each received 200,000 Mora as well. Katherine would distribute it when she encountered them, so Nolan didn't need to go out of his way to deliver it.
With this, Nolan's savings amounted to 780,000 Mora, which could be considered somewhat affluent. Hehe!
He chuckled silently with excitement.
After completing his business at the Adventurer's Guild, Nolan still needed to personally return the two borrowed books to the library today. Otherwise, he might really get shocked by Lisa.
He had brought the two books with him when he went out, so there was no need to make a troublesome return trip.
After some time walking, Nolan arrived at the Knights of Favonius headquarters. He greeted the knight on duty and entered the main hall.
But as soon as he pushed open the wooden door to the library, he saw Lisa lying with her head on her arms, her body turned slightly to avoid pressing against her chest, gently cushioned on the smooth surface of the desk.
The snow-white fabric at the hem of her dress wrapped around her chest, slightly soft under the influence of gravity as she lightly rested on the open pages of some unknown book.
"Hey there, little adventurer, you're here quite early,"
Seeing someone enter, Lisa straightened her body, stretching lazily. With a somewhat languid expression, she yawned as she spoke.
"I promised Miss Lisa yesterday that I would return the books, of course, I wouldn't break that promise."
Nolan put down his adventurer's backpack and gently took out the two borrowed books, placing them on the reception desk for Lisa to confirm, while asking:
"Um, Miss Lisa, about the Fatui and Verdant Winds Adventure Team matter yesterday, how did it turn out?"
He wasn't being nosy by asking this, as he had lent a hand after all. It was only natural for him to be concerned about the aftermath.
He didn't know if Kaeya had successfully found their secret base and rescued those deceived new adventurers.
"Well~ Talking about this is actually quite amusing," Lisa said as she reached for the book borrowing registration form on the right side of the reception desk and filled in the record of returning the books.
Then, with the tip of her pink tongue, she imperceptibly moistened her soft lips before continuing:
"According to Kaeya's report, he led a squad of Knights of Favonius to raid the Fatui's secret base. Not unexpectedly, they faced desperate resistance from the enemy.
"Besides the leaders of the Fatui and Verdant Wings Adventurers' Team, this enemy also included a few new adventurers like little Fenny. They even wore Delusions, causing quite a bit of trouble for Kaeya and the others~"
Lisa finished speaking and couldn't help but let out a light laugh.
"Oh? Is Miss Lisa saying that Sir Kaeya's group was attacked by the very people they were trying to rescue, who had sided with the enemy?" Nolan was understandably stunned upon hearing this.
"Yes, the temptation of the elemental power controlled by Delusions was too great for ordinary people, especially those little kids who are too young to know right from wrong!"
Lisa crossed her legs, clad in black lace-trimmed thigh-high stockings, her gaze carrying some contemplation and sentiment as she spoke.
"So what was the final outcome?"
Nolan could understand this as well. When unaware of the cost, who could resist the allure of power?
"The outcome? Of course they were all locked up in prison to reflect properly!" Lisa swayed her right foot in its black high heel slightly. A purple anklet with a dangling teardrop-shaped gem brushed lightly against the back of her foot encased in the black thigh-high stocking.
"Whew, it seems Sir Kaeya's operation went quite smoothly then," Nolan smiled.
Since they had captured everyone, the conclusion was perfect. As for people like little Fenny who had been misled, they likely wouldn't face severe punishment.
After proper reflection for a period, they would probably be released to reunite with their families like Fenny's grandmother.
As for the two Verdant Wings' Team leaders, it most likely wouldn't be that simple. Colluding with foreign agents was a serious crime after all. They probably wouldn't be able to get out for 10 or 20 years at the very least.
On the other hand, the Fatui agents, with Snezhnaya as their backer, might still have a chance to be redeemed through some kind of beneficial exchange.
The most miserable were those caught in the middle acting as spies, pleasing neither side.
Perhaps this was what they meant by being blinded by greed.
"Alright, little adventurer, your borrowed books have been registered for return. You can go ahead and put them back on the original shelves."
Lisa pushed the two books in front of Nolan, smiling at him with her fair face.
"..."
Nolan looked at her helplessly. This was clearly something the Chief Librarian herself should do. But the words were already out of his mouth, so he could only agree:
"Okay, Miss Lisa really knows how to boss people around."

Chapter 88: Chapter 88: The Sin-Purging Arrow That Strikes Down the Beast of the World
"Oh dear~ An adventurer like you saying that really hurts your big sis's heart. Can you bear to see me, your big sis, standing in front of these towering bookshelves, tiptoeing but still unable to reach the top shelves?"
Lisa gently stroked the chestnut-colored hair falling over her left shoulder, her face displaying a deliberate look of sorrow.
"Of course not, I'm happy to be of help to you, Miss Lisa."
Nolan's helpless expression deepened. It seemed he truly had no ability to refuse a girl's request.
"Hehehe~ Then I'll leave it to you." Lisa lightly covered her soft lips with her fingers, an elegant smile spreading across her fair face.
[Lisa Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 60 Affection Points. Current Affection Level Lv. 3 (200/300)]
Well, gaining some affection points wasn't a waste of time after all.
While thinking to himself, Nolan took two books and headed to the first floor of the library. He remembered the combat technique books were on the left shelves against the wall on the first floor.
His shoes made crisp sounds on the stairs. Suddenly, his gaze was drawn to a shadowy figure below.
Looking closer, it was indeed Fischl with her golden long hair, sitting at a square table in the library, absorbed in reading. Umm No, it should be Princess of Verurteilung traversing another world.
Oz, the Night Raven, stood quietly by the backrest of the chair.
Fischl was too immersed in her own world to notice Nolan. Oz glanced at him but did not greet him, only giving a slight nod.
After all, this was a library with other readers present. One couldn't make noise to disturb others.
According to Fischl, doing so would mark one as undesirable in the eyes of the Librarian Witch, and she would close the door of the universe's treasury of knowledge to that person.
This was absolutely unacceptable to her!
Nolan nodded back to Oz in acknowledgment. He then went to the combat techniques bookshelf, returned the two books he had taken, and put them back.
Speaking of which, should he borrow another sword technique book? His "Favonius Swordsmanship: Fundamentals" almost maxed level and could fuse with "Favonius Swordsmanship: Royal".
By then, just like his archery skills now, there would be no more swordsmanship to continue fuse and upgrade.
He remembered there was a book called "Rhine One-Handed Sword Technique" in the library, which he could learn from. Regardless of its power, it could develop extraordinary characteristics after reaching max level, which was the most important thing.
Nolan searched the bookshelf for a moment and found that "Rhine One-Handed Sword Technique" had not been borrowed, which was fortunate.
He took down the book, flipped through it casually, noticing that it contained a lot of text, more complex than the content of "Favonius Swordsmanship: Fundamentals". It didn't seem easy to learn, so he decided to temporarily put it away and study it slowly after borrowing it.
Unfortunately, the Knights' library only had the one "Favonius Archery: Fundamentals" book on archery techniques, nothing else. If there were others, he could borrow them to study as well.
After all, to continue improving his archery skills, the only way was to learn new archery techniques and fuse them together.
Wait, although the library had no new archery manuals, Fischl here had one didn't she? Nolan recalled her archery technique was called "Sin-Purging Arrow".
Judging from this distinctive name, it should be a new archery technique she had come up with herself.
Although it might not be very sophisticated, after all, Fischl was not an archery master.
Her initial archery skills were most likely learned from her adventurer parents. "Sin-Purging Arrow" was probably an improvement based on those foundations.
Though it's also possible she just changed the name.
But as long as it was an archery technique he hadn't learned before, it could be used to improve and fuse into his own, eventually becoming part of the strongest archery skill he mastered.
Thinking this, Nolan made a decision. With his relationship with Fischl, it shouldn't be difficult to learn her archery skills.
Moreover, judging from the level of archery alone, he was much stronger than Fischl and could also guide her in practicing techniques, so there wouldn't be any suspicion of taking advantage for nothing.
Feeling confident in his idea, Nolan walked towards where Fischl was sitting.
As he approached, Fischl, immersed in her book's otherworldly realm, finally noticed Nolan. Her gaze shone with amusement as she said:
"Oh? My loyal attendant, you've come to this treasury of universal knowledge. Could it be that barely a day has passed and you already can't wait to pay respects to this Princess?"
Fischl spoke quietly, seeming a bit wary of drawing the attention of the "Librarian Witch" Miss Lisa.
"Last night, Miss Often mentioned to her father and mother the explorations everyone had in the secret realm. The two were very happy to hear Miss has made good friends!"
Oz, the Night Raven, perched on the backrest of the chair, lightly hopped and turned around, facing Nolan with a voice filled with a smile.
"Oz, too nosy!"
Fischl shot the raven an annoyed glare, a faint blush appearing on her fair face.
"Hehe." Nolan chuckled twice, then with a serious expression as if entering the "Little Amy's Chatter Channel," he said, "I did come to meet Her Royal Highness, and there's a small matter I'd like to ask for your help with!"
Fischl smoothly received the "transmission" and raised her chin happily.
"Hrmm, as my most trusted attendant, feel free to make any small request. I will definitely help to the best of my abilities!"
[Fischl Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 60 Affection Points. Current Affection Level Lv. 6 (110/600)]
Looking at the affection point prompt that popped up on the character panel, Nolan felt that there wouldn't be any major problems:
"You see, Your Highness, I've recently hit a bit of a bottleneck with my archery skills. So I was hoping to exchange some insights on archery techniques with you!"
"Oh my, yet Sir Nolan's archery skills are far superior to Miss's own. For him to still wish to seek guidance from Miss, could this be the embodiment of your humble nature?"
Oz said with some surprise.
"Ahem, Sir Oz. As the saying goes, 'Among three traveling companions, there will always be one who can serve as my teacher.' Meaning there is always something to learn from anyone. How much more so from our esteemed Princess!"
Hearing Oz's words, a famous axiom Nolan learned in elementary school came to mind. Thinking it fit the occasion well, he smiled as he quoted it.
"Hey, I feel like you two are both underestimating this Princess's archery skills. This is the Sin-Purging Arrow that will surely strike down the 'Beast of the World' that devours dreams! How could it be inferior?"
Fischl pressed her hands on the table's edge and leaned forward slightly in annoyance.
She completely failed to notice that her voice had grown a bit loud in the library's quiet atmosphere.

Chapter 89: Chapter 89: Impressive Acting Skill
Nolan was somewhat stunned as he looked through the snowy shoulder of Little Amy and the golden long hair, gazing at the purple magic circle that appeared behind her, with faint silent lightning flickering on it.
A witch wearing a deep blue-violet pointed hat stepped forth, her chestnut hair bound to the left side with a rose hairpin, the tips caressing the fair skin of her chest. A darkly smiling witch approached with a certain ominous air.
Some sort of spatial transfer magic? Nolan thought with a tinge of envy.
If he could also use this kind of skill, he wouldn't need to worry too much no matter what danger he encountered.
In the original game's story, quite a few exhibited spatial transfer abilities, like the Astrologist Mona during the "Unreconciled Stars" event storyline.
She was able to rapidly teleport herself and others to a far distance upon the sudden appearance of the Fatui's "Skirmisher" enforcers.
Ningguang, one of the Liyue Seven Fortunes, also demonstrated the ability to instantly appear in mid-air during a story cutscene.
So for the immensely powerful Witch of Purple Roses Lisa to achieve this came as no surprise to Nolan.
These spatial transfer abilities should be an advanced application of their elemental power combined with magic or fairy techniques.
An ordinary Vision bearer without relevant knowledge would probably be unable to learn it.
As for Nolan, who had yet to grasp any elemental power, he seemed to lack even the qualifications to study it.
"Miss..."
The Night Raven Oz also looked behind Fischl and reminded slightly.
At this moment, Fischl seemed to realize something, her eyes widened slightly, and she turned her head slowly, somewhat stiffly.
Leaning forward with her hands braced on the table's edge, the off-shoulder minidress revealing her black mesh bodysuit created an alluring curve from chest to abdomen.
"The... Librarian Witch..." Fischl's speech grew slightly unsteady as she looked at the dangerous expression on Lisa's face.
She quickly turned her whole body, inadvertently taking a step back until her rear brushed against the table edge, making her dress sway.
"Oh my~ Sweet little Fischl, what were you two discussing so fervently?"
Lisa narrowed her eyes, the corners of her lips slightly upturned. She approached step-by-step, her long black stockings clinging enticingly.
This is bad... Nolan felt a pang of nervous concern for Fischl, his heart rate quickening.
With nowhere to retreat, the Princess let out a terrified "Yah!" as she eyed Lisa's impending "dark clutches".
With hands holding her head, she turned to the side, her body trembling slightly, as if preparing to face the judgment of the impending thunderstorm.
Lisa gently pinched Fischl's soft, fair cheek with her black-gloved right hand and smiled as she caressed it.
"—Nngh..." The Princess let out a muffled whimper.
In Lisa's eyes, the adorable little Fischl was a good child who loved fantasy novels, always returned books three days early, and handled them with great care.
Normally she read quietly in the library without disturbing others. This uncharacteristic loudness must have resulted from some other cause.
Lisa continued fondling Fischl's plump cheeks as she turned her gaze toward Nolan.
Nolan's expression, which was originally somewhat amused, suddenly stopped, and he said somewhat uncertainly, "Um, Miss Lisa, I'm pretty sure I haven't made any loud noises."
"Oh my~ Little Adventurer, conversations need someone to converse with to be completed, or are you saying little Fischl wasn't speaking with you?"
Lisa released Fischl's face, the corners of her mouth curling into a slight smile before sparks danced at her fingertips.
"Then allow me to give you some special electro-resistance training!"
"Um, Miss Lisa, there's really no need to go to so much trouble..." Nolan smiled somewhat reluctantly.
"It's a gesture of goodwill from your big sis. You can't refuse, you know~"
Lisa's emerald eyes shone with amusement as her electrified fingertips lightly caressed Nolan's face.
Instantly, a tingling, numb sensation of being electrocuted spread from his face throughout his body.
Nolan made an indescribable expression. It didn't really hurt - unexpectedly, it even felt rather pleasant.
However, Nolan soon realized that Lisa had misjudged his physical endurance when she electrocuted him.
Although it wasn't obvious on the surface, Nolan's physique was quite strong, after all, he had undergone many upgrades and enhancements.
Lisa was obviously just jokingly reprimanding him, so she wouldn't actually harm him, so she would definitely control the intensity, resulting in Nolan feeling neither pain nor discomfort, and even feeling a bit comfortable.
Recognizing this, Nolan deliberately overacted being tormented, lest Lisa notices the irregularity and increase her electro-discharge.
After a while, Lisa released Nolan. She crossed her snow-white arms over her chest and looked somewhat amusedly at Nolan who was still performing:
"Really~ If you want to deceive me, Little Adventurer, your acting skills need to improve a bit more~"
Fischl, covering her reddened cheeks that were rubbed, couldn't help but raise her head and laugh softly, suppressing her voice very low and said:
"My loyal Attendant, this Princess just discovered your potential to become a comedic actor for the first time!"
"Sir Nolan's expressions were quite apt. He simply forgot to stop performing," Oz the Raven offered a fairly balanced critique.
Nolan blushed slightly, but he had experience dealing with embarrassing situations like this, so as long as he remained calm, it was fine.
"Hmph~ I'll let you both off this time, but don't let it happen again!"
The shadows beside the bookshelf briefly caressed Lisa's calves, making the black stockings seem even darker before she used teleportation magic to return to the reception desk upstairs.
Nolan and Fischl glanced at each other, both breathing a sigh of relief.
Next, Nolan first came to Lisa's place to register the borrowing of "Rhein Single-Handed Swordsmanship," and was then reminded to return the book on time.
He and Fischl, who also registered to borrow books, came to the training ground behind the Knights of Favonius headquarters.
Indeed, as the great Princess of Verurteilung, she had readily permitted her most trusted attendant's request to learn the "Sin-Purging Arrow".
Speaking of which, their activities today had been rather similar.
In the morning, they had both gone to the Adventurer's Guild to collect rewards for clearing the petrified ancient tree in the secret realm, then brought back finished books to return to the library.
The biggest difference was:
Fischl had proactively returned her book, while Nolan had been compelled to, worried about further punishment from Lisa.
It was an immediate distinction of their attitudes.
In this regard, Nolan lost out completely. No wonder Lisa only fondled Fischl's cheek while actually zapping him!

Chapter 90: Chapter 90: Ellin Who Wants To Go On An Adventure
Knights of Favonius headquarters, training ground at the back.
At this time, besides Nolan and his companions, there were also several young Mondstadt knights who were unfamiliar to them, practicing in the morning.
Wearing metal armor, they clashed their wooden training swords fiercely against each other.
Nolan, relying on his insight into a max-leveled swordsmanship skill, could see many flaws in their swordsmanship application in combat.
In his opinion, this was a problem of not mastering the basics well enough.
Nolan wanted to give them some guidance, but he thought as just an ordinary adventurer, it wasn't necessary to attract too much attention.
The training ground was spacious enough, and Nolan and Fischl found a wooden target to begin their archery training.
Mainly Fischl taught him her Sin-Purging Arrow, while Nolan studied diligently.
Fischl wasn't very good at explaining and imparting her experience, so she could only hold her bow and arrow and shoot at the target repeatedly in her own way, letting Nolan follow her movements.
If she noticed any mistakes in his movements, Fischl would correct them personally.
Thanks to Nolan's high-level archery skills, along with his Heightened Learning talent, he quickly grasped the basics of Sin-Purging Arrow.
[Comprehended Skill: Sin-Purging Arrow]
As the character panel notification popped up, his mastery of max-level archery also let him discern some minor shortcomings in "Sin-Purging Arrow" that could stand some refinement.
Name: Nolan Walker
Level: Lv. 24 (0/2400)
Race: Human
Title: None
Innate Talent: Entangling Affection
Skills: Favonius Hunter's Archery Lv.10 (Advanced Stability, Silent Shadow), Favonius Swordsmanship - Royal Lv.10 (Flickering Candlelight), Favonius Swordsmanship - Fundamentals Lv.6 (0/600), Stealth Assassination Lv.4 (0/400), Martial Arts Lv.2 (0/200), Sin-Purging Arrow Lv.1 (1/100)
Specialties: [Descender] [Maiden Savior] [Monster Slayer] [Abundant Life]
Adventure EXP: 428
Nolan looked at the information listed on the character panel and smirked. Whether it was a human or a monster of the same level, few had mastered as many skills as he had, and in such depth, right?
"As expected of Sir Nolan, to grasp Miss's Sin-Purging Arrow that took her long practice just to initially learn, and do so with such ease!"
The Night Raven Oz stood on the wooden stump beside him. This was a retired famous adventurer named Herman who brought it back from the wild hilichurl camp, specifically for his daughter Ellin to practice swordsmanship.
Speaking of which, that diligent girl didn't seem to have come by to train today.
"Hmph! It barely reaches one ten-millionth, no, one hundred millionth of this Princess's peak proficiency!"
Fischl's sleeved arms gently folded beneath her chest, accentuating the soft curves tightly wrapped by her bodysuit under the short skirt into fuller, rounder swells.
Gazing at the somewhat stubborn little Amy, Nolan smiled and said:
"Your Highness, I've just gained some new insight into 'Sin-Purging Arrow'. May I share it with you?"
Since his "Sin-Purging Arrow" was learned from Fischl, the shortcomings he noticed would naturally apply to Fischl's version as well, given her hands-on tutelage.
"What?!"
Fischl's emerald eyes widened slightly, her soft lips parting in surprise.
He dared say her "Sin-Purging Arrow" had shortcomings when he had just started learning?
"Oh my, Miss Fischl, Sir Nolan's insight is unlikely to be mistaken. After all, you've been engrossed in Liyue's chivalric novels lately, somewhat neglecting practice!"
Night Raven Oz bluntly pointed out the recent decline in his young mistress's behavior.
"Oz!" Fischl's face puffed up angrily as she shot him an annoyed glare. "This Princess was conducting research work to expand the Evernight Kingdom!"
With a proud lift of her fair chin, she turned to Nolan and said, "Hmph~ Since the reliable attendant has improvement suggestions to offer, let's hear them!"
Though she looked nonchalant on the surface, she was a little concerned about her "Sin-Purging Arrow".
Next, their roles reversed, with Nolan using his max level archery experience to instruct Fischl on how to refine her "Sin-Purging Arrow" technique.
[Fischl Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 330 Affection Points. Current Affection Level: Lv.6 (440/600)]
After a while, the young Mondstadt knights practicing here also finished their morning exercises and left. Under Nolan's guidance, Fischl gained a new understanding of her "Sin-Purging Arrow".
This also earned him quite a bit of affection, thanks in part to his speciality as a "Maiden Savior," which made it easier for girls to develop feelings for him.
This trait didn't forcibly make others develop affection; it was more like an amplifier for attracting attention.
When Nolan's actions could originally elicit a girl's affection, it slightly amplified the "sparkle" that attracted affection.
This better stirred the heart, achieving the effect of gaining more affection.
"Hmph~ It was quite simple, nothing extraordinary!"
The brilliant sunlight on Fischl's golden hair made it shine even more radiantly. She lightly panted, using her fair hand to wipe away the slight sweat on her forehead.
"As expected of the Princess of Condemnation."
Seeing the boastful Fischl, Nolan smiled gently. Of course, it was simple - her original skills with "Sin-Purging Arrow" were already quite deep, just needing slight adjustments in some flawed areas of application.
"Miss, your stance with the bow just now indeed gave a more fluid feeling," Night Raven Oz nodded in agreement.
The praises from Nolan and Oz made Fischl stand with her hands on her hips, raising her head proudly, while the gentle breeze lightly swayed the hem of her black-purple skirt.
"Huh? Nolan, is that you? Long time no see!"
Ellin, wooden sword in hand, walked into the training grounds and was surprised to see the Liyue youth who had learned swordsmanship from Captain Eula some time ago here again.
"Ah, Miss Ellin. I was also wondering earlier why I didn't see you diligently training here as usual!"
Nolan waved politely and greeted her with a smile.
Hearing Nolan's words, Ellin looked a bit downcast and glanced at the ground as she said:
"Actually, today I wanted to go on an adventure in the wild, but Dad said my strength is still too weak, and he can't spare the time to take me, but he also has work and can't take me.
But I think just practicing hard is not enough for growth. In order to pass the knight selection, I feel I must have a real experience!"
Nolan nodded. He understood Ellin's urgent desire to improve. Generally speaking, going into the wilderness was fine with some caution.
After all, many rookie adventurers are not as strong as Ellin, yet they still venture out.
However, they rarely go alone. They either have seniors to guide them or travel in groups, able to watch each other's back.

Chapter 91: Chapter 91: Instructions
In that case, it's not unreasonable for Ellin's father to be concerned.
"What a brave girl!" Oz said with a hint of admiration as he fluttered his night-colored wings.
"Wow, a talking night raven! Could you be Miss Fischl from another world and her raven companion?" Eileen looked at Oz and Fischl next to him with excitement.
Having a father who was once an adventurer, Eileen was familiar with the strange and interesting stories of Adventurers' Guild.
Like a poor fellow named Bennett, who always had a twisty and adventurous journey wherever he went.
And then there was Fischl, a quirky girl who insisted she was from another world called the Immernachtreich, always followed by a night-colored raven. She was an enviable Vision holder that even her father admired.
"Hmph hmph~! This imperial princess knew her fame had already spread across the Teyvat continent. One day the entire continent will bow before my might!"
Fischl changed her pose, crossing her arms over her black-webbed undershirt on her abdomen.
"..."
Ellin gave an expression that seemed to say she didn't know how to respond. As expected Fischl was quite an eccentric girl. She selectively ignored what Fischl just said.
Then Ellin put her hands together and looked at the two with slight anticipation, requesting:
"Miss Fischl, Mr. Nolan, you're both powerful adventurers, right? Can you take me adventuring outside to gain some experience? If I go with you, Dad will definitely agree!
"Please rest assured, I won't let you help me for nothing. Consider this a commission. I'll give you 20,000 to 30,000 Mora I've saved up as a commission fee!"
"Oh? Do you want to go on an adventure with us? Hmm..." Fischl touched her fair chin with her fingers, pondering slightly.
She wasn't too busy lately, so there shouldn't be a problem bringing someone along on an adventure.
However, Fischl turned her gaze to Nolan and said, "My attendant, what do you think?"
"Yes, of course, there is no problem!"
Nolan was originally going to the library to return books and prepare to take on a commission. However, he happened to run into Fischl and became interested in learning her archery, which delayed him a bit.
Now, Eileen's request was simply to take her on an adventure in the wilderness, which meant earning an extra commission fee, something he was happy to do.
Twenty to thirty thousand Mora, might not be much for two people, but it was equivalent to a day's wages for an ordinary person.
"Really? That's great!" Ellin jumped up happily. "I'll go tell my dad now. Let's meet up at the Adventurer's Guild?"
Although her dad would likely agree, she still wanted to go back and let him know for peace of mind.
"Well, that works out perfectly. We can also select a suitable commission at the Adventurers' Guild." Nolan nodded.
...
Mondstadt City, Adventurers' Guild.
After Eileen had just come to the training yard and bounced back excitedly, Nolan, Fischl, and Oz arrived at the reception of the Adventurers' Guild.
Katheryne, dressed in a maid-style dress, clasped her hands in front of her abdomen and gracefully smiled, saying, "Ad astra abyssosque! Welcome to the Adventurers' Guild!"
"We meet again, Miss Katheryne. Are there any urgent commissions today?" Nolan greeted her with a smile and asked.
"Is Mr. Adventurer preparing to go on an adventure with Miss Fischl...? Well, in that case, there are a few ruin guards roaming around over at the Brightcrown Canyon area, with your strength you should be able to handle them easily!"
Katheryne looked at the two and said after a moment of thought.
"Ruin Guards?"
Nolan was somewhat interested, but taking Ellin with them might be too dangerous. After all, she was there for training, not for fighting.
If they were to handle the Ruin Guards themselves while Ellin watched from the sidelines, it wouldn't be very involving for her, which wouldn't be fair considering the commission fee they would receive.
Moreover, it was she had painstakingly saved up from her allowance.
"Miss Katheryne, today we're bringing along a newbie with little experience to adventure with us. We hope to take on a commission that's somewhat challenging but not too difficult."
Nolan explained after pondering for a while.
"I see. Mr. Adventurer, you haven't been registered with the guild for long, but I didn't expect you to progress so quickly that you're already taking a newbie with you on adventures!" Katherine said somewhat sentimentally.
"Haha, Miss Katheryne is joking. I'm still far behind compared to the other seasoned adventurers,"
Nolan humbly said with some embarrassment.
"Mr. Adventurer's outstanding performances recently have already spread within the Adventurers' Guild. I believe you'll soon become a somewhat famous adventurer."
Katherine revealed an elegant smile, then with a serious expression continued:
"We just received word that some goods being transported by a survey team were robbed by a group of Hilichurls on the beach near Starfell Valley. They even stole the transport hot air balloon.
"Since Miss Fischl has excellent investigative abilities, I'm sure she can easily locate the Hilichurls. So, how about taking on this commission?"
After hearing Katherine's words, Nolan nodded slightly.
This commission seemed suitable for them. Weaker ordinary Hilichurls were no match for Ellin, making it perfect for her to gain experience.
And with him and Fischl there, they could prevent any unexpected situations.
"This princess also thinks there is no issue. Let's take this commission then!"
Fischl, with her golden hair cascading down, nodded slightly in agreement.
After a while, Nolan saw Ellin arrive at the Adventurers' Guild with an adventuring backpack, followed by a middle-aged bearded man.
"Hehe, sorry to keep you waiting." Ellin chuckled and said. Then looking at the middle-aged man she continued, "This is my dad. He's a bit of a worrywart and insisted on coming to see me off."
"Nice to meet you!" Nolan greeted politely.
"Oh my! Mister Herman, so Ellin is your daughter!" The night raven Oz exclaimed in surprise.
Fischl and Oz were a bit acquainted with him from the Adventurers' Guild.
"Ahem, hello to you all." Herman coughed awkwardly and scratched his head. "So uh, Eileen insisted on going out for some field experience. I really couldn't dissuade her, so please take good care of her!"
He trusted Fischl, the eccentric Vision holder, especially with the reliable Oz by her side.
As for that young man from Liyue...
Herman looked at Nolan and, relying on his adventurer's intuition, he could sense that this young man was not weak!

Chapter 92: Chapter 92: The Hilichurl Camp
Herman gave Ellin a long list of cautions and reminders. Only when Ellin couldn't take it anymore and ran off towards the city gates did Nolan and Fischl finally set off together.
Leaving Herman behind sighing as he watched their figures depart.
The journey ahead was quite long. The place where the survey team was robbed by Hilichurls was at the furthest outskirts of Starfell Valley near the beach.
They had to pass through the Whispering Woods and Starfall Lake along the way, and then walk a long distance to reach their destination.
Because the real Teyvat continent was much larger than the scaled-down version in the game, traveling on foot generally took most of the day.
If the commission went smoothly they might make it back before nightfall. If trouble occurred they'd have to camp overnight, which was common for adventurers.
On the Mondstadt Bridge, people came and went. Many cargo carriages transported goods.
To avoid blocking others, Nolan and the others walked on one side, with Ellin leading the way as the employer. A group of white doves landed on the stone railing of the bridge.
The birds pecked at the grains scattered on the railing, accurately swallowing them one by one—a young boy was feeding them.
As they approached recklessly, the doves were startled and flew away, which ultimately drew an angry glare from the young boy!
The three of them smiled politely and apologized.
After crossing the Mondstadt Bridge and continuing along the main road, the boots of the two girls ahead lightly kicked up some dust from the ground.
The asymmetric black stockings worn by Fischl revealed a hint of her snow-white skin, adding a touch of mystery and allure compared to Ellin, who was wearing shorts, revealing her legs.
Since they were on the main road, they didn't encounter any monsters in the Whispering Woods, but they did encounter two small Cryo Slimes at Starfall Lake.
Though both small-types, he somehow felt Cryo Slimes were tougher than Hydro Slimes.
When he first crossed over, Nolan might not have dared to face Cryo Slimes. After all, their bodies made of Cryo elements were extremely cold.
Attacking them bare-handed might result in getting frostbite.
Pyro and Electro Slimes had similar properties, while Geo Slimes were just hard. Dendro Slimes could hide in the ground. It seemed like only Hydro Slimes were relatively easy to bully.
Nolan glanced at the eager Ellin and smiled, "What do you think? Want to give it a try?"
"Yes, please let me handle them!" Ellin replied resolutely.
She no longer had a wooden training sword at her waist but a Dull Blade similar to Nolan's. This type of sword was popular because it was durable and relatively cheap.
"Miss Ellin, go ahead. We'll watch the surroundings for you." Oz fluttered his night-colored wings and said.
"Mm."
Ellin drew the dull blade from its sheath and cautiously approached the two Cryo Slimes in the lake. When she got within a certain range they did become hostile as expected.
They hopped towards her, freezing parts of the lake surface each time they leapt up then landed.
Ellin was clever not to fight them in the water. She steadily retreated, luring them back onto land.
It seemed Herman had properly imparted his daughter with knowledge and skills to deal with common monsters.
Elemental creatures like Slimes naturally had an advantage in their element. After all if Ellin got wet she'd be easily frozen by the Cryo Slimes.
Choosing a battlefield favorable to oneself was crucial.
Ellin has an adventurer father who, in terms of various adventure experiences and knowledge, might know more than Nolan, but lacks some practical experience.
So, in this battle, Ellin didn't really need guidance from him and Fischl. She kept a safe distance from the two small Cryo Slimes and used the advantage of her weapon to easily defeat them with agile dodges and movements.
From her sword movements, it was clear that her foundation was solid, not disappointing her diligent practice every day.
Looking at the two Cryo Slimes she defeated completely on her own, Ellin's face lit up with excitement as she said, "Nolan, Miss Fischl, Mr. Oz, look! I successfully defeated them!"
"Hmph hmph~ Not bad at all!" Fischl flicked back her golden hair, briefly revealing a glimpe of white ears hidden within.
"Miss Ellin has outstanding courage and nimble movements. You will surely become an excellent knight defending Mondstadt in the near future!"
The night raven Oz praised generously.
"Hehe... Of course! My dream is to one day fight alongside amazing knights like Master Jean!"
Ellin was extremely satisfied.
"Much better than my first slime encounter! Okay, let's collect the dropped slime condensate and keep going."
Nolan felt Ellin's performance was far more decisive than his own first hydro slime fight.
At least she didn't end up a mess.
"Mm, let's go!" Ellin nodded happily.
[Ellin Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 60 Affection Points. Current Affection Level: Lv.1 (60/100)]
...
The three of them left Starfall Lake and continued along the main road until they reached the location where the gathering team was robbed by the Hilichurls. It was already noon, and there were two members of the gathering team waiting there.
"Are you the adventurers who took the commission?" The two members of the gathering team rushed over and asked.
"Yes, gentlemen may I ask what the current situation is?"
The night raven Oz nodded in midair and asked.
Their commission slip only stated that a gathering team was robbed by a Hilichurl Berserker leading five normal Hilichurls that morning, near the beach of Starfell Valley.
The gathering team then sent a commission request via carrier pigeon. By the time Nolan's group arrived, over half a day had passed. They didn't know the circumstances now.
"Phew, you've finally arrived!" one of the gathering team members said, "Our captain followed the traces of the Hilichurls to their camp to prevent losing track of them. Follow me quickly!"
"Oh? You've already found them? It seems we're quite lucky. We thought we would need to come and search again," Nolan said, a little surprised.
"Well, Our team leader used to be an adventurer too. If not for the large number of Hilichurls, and that Berserker, they couldn't have robbed our collected specialties and wild fruits!"
Another member of the gathering team said indignantly.
In the industry of outdoor gathering, although it was not as dangerous as being an adventurer, one still needed some combat skills, or else it would be troublesome to encounter monsters unexpectedly.
"Hehe, in that case, lead the way for Princess and her attendants!" Fischl put her hands on her waist, slightly lifting her fair chin.

Chapter 93: Chapter 93: The Trial
"..."
The two members of the gathering team exchanged glances, unsure how to respond to the peculiar words of the eccentric girl.
After all, they had never met someone who referred to themselves in this manner. They could only ignore it and say:
"Please follow us!"
There were clear signs of fighting on the main road. The gathering team had likely realized they were outmatched and wisely chose to retreat to avoid injury.
Meanwhile, the hilichurls who had taken the goods seemed to have headed into the side forest, leaving behind their footprints.
The two members of the gathering team led Nolan and the others along these footprints.
While learning about the battle from the gathering team, Fischl had Oz scout ahead to warn them and prevent ambushes by monsters.
After all, hilichurls still possessed a certain level of intelligence.
Sunlight filtered through the branches, casting vertical beams of light that mingled with the shadows on the team.
Beside them, beneath Fischl's asymmetric black leather stockings, her soft, fair skin was slightly exposed, seemingly able to adjust brightness like a switch as sunlight and shadow alternated with the swing of her legs.
After about ten minutes, they finally reached the end of the forest and saw a sturdy middle-aged man crouching in the bushes at the forest edge, peering out.
"Captain, we're here!" whispered a member of the gathering team to him.
The captain of the gathering team turned around, making a "shh" gesture with his finger on his lips, then pointed outside and whispered, "The hilichurls' camp is ahead. Be careful not to attract their attention!"
Nolan and the others glanced through the trees and saw a makeshift shack constructed of wood and leaves not far away.
Outside the shack.
A Hilichurl Berserker lounged lazily on a hot air balloon filled with plundered goods, with A broadaxe with a glowing hot blade lay beside it.
He seemed to be the leader of this group of hilichurls.
The other Hilichurls had hung up a large pot and placed a small Pyro Slime beneath as a fire source for heating.
They then dumped the robbed wild fruits and caught frogs and rats all together into the messy mix.
Since their ingredients were probably unwashed, the pot contents looked rather murky. It killed one's appetite just looking at it.
"Wasteful! So wasteful!"
Seeing the food he worked hard to collect being cooked like this, the gathering team captain was quite furious.
"Captain, with the adventurers this time, we can definitely take back the goods!" Another member of the gathering team said.
"Gentlemen, there is no need to trouble yourselves. Please leave this to us."
Oz perched on a nearby tree, wings folded, and said.
"Oh? You don't need our help?"
The captain of the gathering team was slightly surprised, although they were the employer, they didn't have the idea that they should just stand by and watch after paying the commission.
"Well, we are quite strong and can easily handle them, so there's no need to trouble you. It would make us seem unprofessional!" Nolan nodded and smiled.
Then he loaded the Armor-Piercing Arrow onto the adventurer's hunting bow, secretly aiming at the most formidable Hilichurl Berserker. As long as it was taken care of, the other ordinary hilichurls could be left to Ellin to practice on.
"Haha, are young people nowadays all this confident?" The captain of the gathering team sighed slightly, then continued, "Well then, we'll leave it to you!"
As soon as the middle-aged man's voice fell, Nolan's arrow, enhanced with the proficiency effect of "Monster Slayer".
As if ignoring the distance, silently pierced through the bone mask of the Hilichurl Berserker and into its head.
[Defeated A Powerful Enemy, Obtained 367 Adventure EXP]
Although the Hilichurl Berserker was an elite unit within the hilichurl tribe, elites also had their strengths and weaknesses.
It was defeated so easily by Nolan, and judging from the Adventure EXP gained, its strength probably wasn't that great.
Its death was so swift and silent that it hadn't even caught the attention of the other four ordinary hilichurls for a moment.
"Oz!" Fischl's left hand on her waist, right hand pointing at the remaining Hilichurls.
"Understood, Miss!"
Hearing the command, Oz immediately fluttered his wings and shot forth like a night-colored lightning bolt. In a flash he spat continuous electro balls at the Pyro Slime being used as a fire source beneath the pot.
The overload reaction between the Pyro and Electro elements caused a BOOM, blasting the pot and Hilichurls flying.
"Ellin, you're up!" Nolan said softly.
At this moment, several ordinary hilichurls had already suffered some damage, impacting their movements.
It was a perfect opportunity for Ellin to gain some experience in facing multiple opponents.
"Mm!"
Ellin nodded heavily, her excitement apparent on her face.
She drew her dull blade and approached the few dazed Hilichurls alone.
"YA!" The Hilichurls let out an angry sound.
They thought Ellin was the one behind the sudden earlier attack.
Waving their clubs and picking up rocks, they charged at Ellin. She tilted her head slightly to dodge an incoming rock.
Lifting her longsword slightly, she aimed the tip of the blade at the throat of the first hilichurl charging at her with a club.
The red-furred Hilichurl quickly tried to brake, but unable to stop its momentum, its body tipped forward right into the sword piercing its head through.
"YA!"
The Hilichurl behind it jumped up, swinging its wooden club down at Ellin's head.
She reacted in time, but when trying to block with her sword, found it stuck in the previous Hilichurl's head and unable to pull out.
Ellin panicked a little, her movements becoming somewhat frantic.
Just as she thought she was about to get smashed in the head and bloodied, a bolt of purple lightning shot into the midair Hilichurl with a "swoosh".
The kinetic energy carried by the arrow diverted its falling trajectory, causing it to fall to the side and crash to the ground, rolling twice on the grass, completely lifeless.
As Ellin breathed a sigh of relief, she looked in the direction of the purple lightning and saw the eccentric Miss Fischl, who had just lowered her bow.
"Thank you!"
She said gratefully, then pulled out her dull blade to continue facing the remaining two Hilichurls.
"Hmph hmph~ It's nothing!" Fischl flicked her golden hair behind her ear, a proud smile appearing on her fair face. Then she looked at Nolan, her eyes filled with happiness, "The 'Sin-Purging Arrow' is indeed more handy now. As expected of this princess's reliable attendant!"

Chapter 94: Chapter 94: Blue Spirit
After the minor incident, Ellin became more adept in battle. The most dangerous Hilichurl Berserker was taken out first, and the remaining normal Hilichurls were also injured by the Overload Reaction Blast.
So, with a little effort, Ellin successfully defeated them all.
"Great! Now we can retrieve all our goods!" exclaimed a member of the gathering team joyfully.
"Thank you!"
The captain of the gathering team said with some emotion. Although he had been an adventurer before and was quite skilled, he could never achieve a one-shot kill on a Hilichurl Berserker.
And this was already quite impressive among ordinary adventurers. The girl with the Vision would surely be even stronger.
As for the girl named Ellin, the captain of the gathering team guessed that she was probably a novice adventurer with little experience.
After all, he could tell that she was still training herself in the wilderness.
"No problem. You all should check if any goods were lost though. It'd be a pity if the sales don't even cover the commission fee!" Nolan laughed lightly as he put away his adventurer's bow.
"Haha, if that's the case then we're just unlucky!"
The captain of the gathering team laughed heartily, then called the two members of the gathering team to leave the forest and head towards the small Hilichurl camp.
If not for that Hilichurl Berserker, they could have retrieved the goods themselves. No, without the Hilichurl Berserker, their goods wouldn't have been stolen at all!
Alas, now those goods came with an extra 60,000 Mora commission cost.
Upon inspecting the goods, the whole survey team breathed a sigh of relief. The specialties and wild fruits were largely intact, and most importantly, the transport balloon was undamaged.
Quite fortunate really!
The gathering team paid Nolan and his companions six coins of ten thousand mora each, confirming the perfect completion of the commission, and then they left with the transport hot air balloon.
"They're really generous!" Nolan laughed as he tossed the six glittering coins of mora into the air and caught them.
As Ellin walked over sheathing her dull blade, using her fair hand to wipe traces of sweat from her brow, she said happily:
"Thanks for your help!"
She had come to practice her skills and gain experience. While injuries were best avoided, without her two comrades watching over her, she surely would have gotten smashed in the head back there.
"Why, Miss Ellin, you are our employer after all!" Oz fluttered his night-colored wings beside Fischl.
"Yeah, that's right."
Nolan nodded, then tossed two coins of ten thousand mora to her.
Ellin looked quite surprised, fumbling the golden Mora coins in her soft hands before clutching them with a confused look at Nolan.
"What's this?"
Nolan was about to answer when Fischl raised her fair chin slightly and said, "Hmph~ The meaning of my reliable attendant is that you also contributed to this commission, so naturally, you should get your share of the commission fee!"
A gentle breeze caressed her from behind, the dark purple hem of her dress seemingly fusing with the invisible wind, lightly gliding between her parted legs clad in asymmetrical black stockings.
"Yes, though you are our employer Eileen, you are also a member of this team who contributed significantly. It would be wrong to exclude you from the commission fee allocation."
Nolan smiled and said, then he split the remaining forty thousand mora in half and gave half to Fischl, so everything was divided up evenly.
"Well then, I'll gladly accept it!" Ellin said with a smile on her face.
She was quite happy to earn mora on her own.
[Ellin Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 75 Affection Points. Current Affection Level Lv.2 (35/200)]
"I heard from my dad that Hilichurls bring treasures chests they find back to their camps. Why don't we look around and see if there are any nearby?" Ellin suggested as she pocketed the Mora.
"Good point."
Nolan nodded, recalling how when exploring the game world before, he often discovered treasure chests near Hilichurl camps.
Then the group looked around, but they didn't find any traces of chests.
Fischl stood with her legs slightly closed, the black and purple hem of her skirt lightly brushing against her black stockings, revealing a glimpse of her fair skin on her calves.
She crossed her arms, her fair fingers resting between her soft arm and her side chest, her emerald eyes looking into the simple hilichurl shack.
"Did Your Highness find anything?" Nolan asked as he returned empty-handed.
He could easily see the situation inside the shack from outside. Apart from two square wooden crates, there were only scattered vegetables and wild fruits.
"My Eyes of Revelation see all secrets hidden here. Go forth, my loyal attendant. A precious rarity lies within those unassuming crates!"
Fischl's mouth curled up, confidently pointing at the wooden crate inside the shack.
"Oh?" Nolan was slightly surprised. Could there really be something inside?
While Little Amy's Eyes of Revelation were likely just fantasy, perhaps there were indeed treasures to be found.
Nolan drew his Dull Blade +20 and gave the crates a few slashes upon entering.
The reinforced steel blade passed through the wood like water, effortlessly splitting the crates into three pieces that clattered to the ground.
"Hmph hmph~ Did this princess not speak true?"
Fischl lightly stroked the black fishnet top of her off-shoulder short dress, her face slightly lifted, her fair and delicate jawline facing Nolan.
"...Indeed you did!"
Nolan said with a somewhat surprised nod.
In the spot where the crate was split, a translucent aquamarine little spirit was floating and swaying.
Although it wasn't a treasure chest, finding a blue spirit was almost the same as finding a treasure chest.
Mysterious Seelie or Blue Spirits were peculiar beings that guided players to solve puzzles and find chests in the original game world, seemingly holding the same purpose here.
Every adventurer considered encountering a spirit as lucky. Following it would lead to discovering chests, and if encountered in a predicament, it might even lead to finding a way out!
"Wow! It's a blue spirit!"
Ellin exclaimed with excitement as she approached. As the daughter of an adventurer, she naturally knew a lot about blue spirits.
She had often heard tales from her father about how adorable spirits looked. To unexpectedly encounter one today!
"This is my first time seeing such a wondrous creature. Why don't we follow it and see if we can discover any treasures?" Ellin suggested eagerly.
"Of course we should!" Nolan smiled in response.

Chapter 95: Chapter 95: Damp Cave
Nolan gave up the chance to approach the blue spirit and handed it over to the curious Ellin. Although he was also quite curious, Fischl indicated that there was nothing special about it.
Touching it felt like touching air, with no tactile feedback at all.
But what was magical was that the aquamarine translucent spirit would react to it, slowly drifting in a certain direction, just like it was doing now.
Ellin gently touched the blue spirit, and it slowly floated out of the hilichurl shack, flying to the top of the hilichurl shack in everyone's gaze.
Then it slowly stopped and swayed leisurely in place, as if waiting for Nolan and the others.
At this point, someone needed to touch it again for the blue spirit to gain the momentum to continue moving.
"I'll do it since it's so high!"
Nolan said with a light smile, then jumped up and grabbed the protruding wooden board on the roof. With a slight effort, he easily pulled himself up.
Here at the peak was a hole in the center - apparently a Hilichurl architectural quirk. It could collect rainwater or allow smoke to ventilate when cooking inside.
Nolan couldn't comment on whether this design was good or not; he could only say that it was the hilichurls' life experience and wisdom.
As he approached and touched it, the blue spirit moved again, this time drifting towards the distant cliff behind.
Nolan jumped down from the shack roof and ran over to the mountain wall with Fischl, Ellin, and Oz. It was estimated to be about three to four meters high here, and it seemed a bit far to go around, so climbing up was the best choice.
For the few of them, climbing up to this height wasn't too difficult. Even Eileen, who was slightly weaker, practiced swordsmanship every day to train her body, so her physical fitness wasn't weak.
"Oz!" Fischl called out to her raven companion, her hands covered in black silk sleeves.
"Ah, Miss, there's no need for such a small matter," Oz immediately understood what his mistress meant. She probably wanted to use Elemental Burst to fly up to the cliff instantly.
But this would consume stored elemental energy, which came from the use of Elemental Skills. Although it wasn't difficult to collect, it wasn't necessary to waste it.
"Hmph hmph~ You simply don't understand, Oz. As the Princezz der Verurteilung of the Immernachtreich, I must present a poised and elegant figure before my loyal attendants!"
Fischl slightly straightened her chest, the black fishnet bodysuit she wore slightly revealing her fair, soft skin.
She paused, lips pursed, before continuing: "This is the responsibility that a princess must bear as a role model!"
"I see, I understand!" Oz suddenly felt that his mistress made sense.
Due to her personality, Fischl had few friends. As an investigator at the Adventurers' Guild, she rarely needed to team up due to her excellent investigative skills. Most of the time, she acted alone.
So Fischl's thoughts were rarely expressed, but she was indeed affected by her attendants. After all, climbing the mountain slowly in front of them would indeed affect the princess's dignity.
Watching Oz fly Fischl up effortlessly, Nolan felt a tinge of envy. It reminded him of Lisa's research into the Delusion.
I wonder if there's been any progress. He felt that he should visit the library more often in the future. Besides finding opportunities to gain affection, he could also show concern for her research.
After all, this was his closest opportunity to mastering elemental power so far.
The price to pay was just running errands and doing odd jobs for Lisa, which wasn't a problem at all!
With a hint of anticipation, Nolan grabbed onto the protruding spots on the mountain wall and began to climb up. With a few jumps, he easily ascended the three to four-meter height.
Ellin was a bit slower. Some mud stuck to her snow-white legs beneath her shorts. She climbed up and gently patted her knees, smiling. "Hehe, sorry for the wait. Let's continue following the blue spirit."
"It's okay. Since you just had a battle, you can take a break if you're feeling tired," Nolan said, concerned.
"It's fine. Walking actually helps me relax," Ellin said as she stretched her limbs.
Nolan nodded and then lightly waved his hand past the aquamarine translucent spirit. The petite spirit continued to float forward.
Following the blue spirit through hills and valleys, the soles and sides of their shoes turned completely green. This was because there was an unusually large amount of grass in the Mondstadt region.
It was basically impossible to move without stepping on grass.
This made Nolan, who used to be a child who loved plants, feel a slight moment of guilt. He sighed, "The past is gone, but there's nothing I can do about it now." Then he quickly stepped on the grass and continued forward.
The destination the spirit was heading to was a bit far. According to the pocket watch carried by Fischl, it took Nolan and the others over an hour to finally arrive at their destination—the entrance of a dark cave.
Well, after all, the Tevat Continent in reality was much larger than in the game, so it was natural for them to run for a longer time following the blue spirit.
The spirit floated back to its spirit platform and curled up into a ball, looking like a burning aquamarine candle.
At this moment, a wooden treasure chest suddenly appeared in front of the spirit platform with a "bang," just like in the game. It was quite miraculous.
It was difficult to speculate on the power or ability hidden within this.
As for these matters, Nolan, who was still weak, couldn't investigate them. Anyway, it wasn't a bad thing. He happily accepted any benefits.
He let Ellin open the chest. As usual, a pile of dazzling gold coins with a face value of one Moras came into view, mixed with two one-star artifacts.
Hmm, their effects weren't too significant, but it was good to keep them as strengthening materials for higher-star artifacts they might encounter in the future.
For now, Fischl, who possessed the Vision, temporarily took care of these treasures. Then, the group turned their attention to the dark cave.
Oz the Night Raven, who flapped his night-colored wings, pondered for a moment and said:
"Since the blue spirit brought us here, there must be something special about it, right?"
Oz's thoughts were also shared by Nolan and the other two. As adventurers, they couldn't overlook any abnormal locations where they had the chance to find treasure chests.
They had to explore it, of course, but they couldn't rush in recklessly either, as they didn't know what was inside.
If it turned out to be some terrifying monster, it would be no different from sending themselves to their deaths.
"Oz, go forward and search the hidden secrets buried here for this princess!"
Fischl, standing slightly apart with her right leg wrapped in black silk tights and her left leg in thigh-high lace stockings, pointed her finger at the dark cave and instructed Oz.

Chapter 96: Chapter 96: Elemental Ore
"Yes, miss!"
Oz had the characteristic of being summoned back by Fischl at any time. It might also be an elemental creature itself, so it basically wouldn't encounter any real danger.
So in this situation, having him scout ahead was the perfect choice.
Oz flapped his dark wings, gliding into the gloomy cavern. His vision synchronized with Fishl's eyes.
The uneven cavern walls and floor flashed rapidly through the raven's peripheral vision. In less than a minute, it reached the end of the cave.
Below it was an indiscernible dark pit, while above stood three small braziers.
They would need to light a fire to see what lay below.
Fischl, who saw this through Oz's eyes, informed Nolan and Ellin of the situation.
"Hmph! This place's secrets are now laid bare before Us. Come, let Us venture forth!"
Fischl's feet landed on the ground as she walked towards the dark cave. The moment before, the green grass brushed against her black high-heeled short boots, and the next second, shoe prints were left on the muddy rock ground inside the cave.
Nolan and Ellin followed without hesitation.
She said this probably because she hadn't seen any danger through Oz's vision.
After all, the Princezz of Immernachtreich's abilities were most trustworthy, though her eccentric persona took some adjusting for Ellin.
Except for some naive people who believed everything or those who were familiar with Fischl, the general public's thinking might be a bit behind.
The role of Oz in facilitating communication among them couldn't be ignored.
The light in the cave was dim. As they walked about four to five meters in, Nolan noticed that the cave walls were somewhat moist, indicating that there seemed to be plenty of hydro elements.
Considering the lush grasslands in Mondstadt all year round, it was normal for there to be ample underground water.
As they continued deeper, the environment became darker, and water stains began to appear on the ground. Their shoes made a "sizzle" sound as they stepped on the sticky ground.
Although there was no wind, Nolan also felt that the environment in the cave was slightly cool.
Unnoticed by all, a water droplet gathered on the cavern ceiling, then slipped through Fischl's radiant golden locks to land squarely on the pale back exposed by her short black dress.
Instantly, a bone-chilling sensation spread from Fischl's spine to every soft inch of her skin.
"Yah!"
In the sudden silence, a girl's exclamation sounded. Fischl couldn't help but stop in her tracks, trembling slightly, and goosebumps immediately appeared all over her.
"A-Are you okay, Miss Fischl?"
Ellin, who was visibly nervous in the dark environment, was startled, thinking they had encountered some danger.
"I-I'm fine." Fischl used her left hand, wrapped in a black silk long sleeve, to wipe away the water on her back. The sleeve became wet, and she sighed slightly. "Even this Princess is not immune to such stealthy ambushes."
"Ah, 'twas but a rogue water droplet. Easily overlooked in this darkness."
Understanding the situation, Ellin breathed a sigh of relief.
Nolan glanced at the slightly protruding wall of the cave ceiling, where a drop of water fell and then another drop began to form.
He saw when he came in that the cave in this hill was only two or three meters thick from the surface grassland, and there were no trees or anything. In theory, even if the cave was damp, it wouldn't reach this level.
It wouldn't lead to some underground river inside, but when it rained, water seeped underground, eventually accumulating into a pool in the cave, which was quite possible.
After a while, Nolan and the others saw Oz ahead of them. By now, the light here was ridiculously dim.
They could barely make out the deeper depression ahead.
"Everyone, there are a few small pyro braziers nearby that need to be lit to see ahead!" Oz flew back to Princess Fischl's side and reminded them.
Nolan nodded slightly. He vaguely saw three small pyro braziers arranged in a triangle ahead.
Since there were braziers, it was very likely that someone had already been here before.
Although having ready-made fire racks without having to set up new ones for lighting seemed good, if there were treasures here, they might have already been taken by previous visitors.
"Let me light them!" Ellin said excitedly.
In her adventurer's backpack, there were two or three boxes of matches for convenient lit, which came in handy in situations like this in the wilderness.
"Alright, it's up to you, Miss Ellin!" Oz gently nodded.
Ellin took out a match from her backpack, struck it gently, and scattered a few sparks. Then the head of the match ignited completely.
While the match was still burning, she quickly placed it on the fire rack. As it came into contact with the firewood on the rack, the fire slowly ignited.
The fire grew larger and larger until it became a roaring blaze.
One fire rack was enough to barely illuminate the surrounding area, allowing Nolan and the others to see the situation below the depression!
About five or six meters deep, the bottom of the depression was slightly inclined. Many crystal chunks and iron chunks grew on the high side.
At the same time, there were three geo slimes with stone helmets moving slowly over there.
On the lower side was a pool occupying half of the pit, with three hydro slimes and some kind of water-blue ore, which looked similar to magic crystal ores, but apparently not...
"Could that be...elemental ore infused with hydro?" Ellin's face showed an excited expression.
"Miss Ellin is right. This is indeed a water elemental ore. With it here, it's no wonder this cave is so damp!" Oz, being well-traveled and experienced in investigating tasks with Fischl, had seen various elemental ores, so he couldn't be wrong about this.
Hearing Eileen and Oz's words, Nolan thought of the Elemental-Imbued Arrow made by Wagner. Because he no longer had any ores containing fire elements, production had temporarily stopped, which meant he also didn't have a means of causing elemental attacks.
If he brought some water elemental ores to him, could he make "Hydro-Imbued Arrows," which could cause hydro elemental damage?
Nolan's eyes brightened slightly, and he said with a little anticipation, "Ellin, go ahead and light the other two fire racks, then we'll defeat the slimes and mine these ores!"
"Okay, no problem!" Ellin nodded lightly.
With all the fire racks lit, the space was completely illuminated.
Fischl's black high-heeled short boots stepped on a moss-covered rock, her feet slightly lifted, and the snug-fitting black silk stockings showed the soft curves of her calves.
She also pointed to the depression ahead and said, "Leave them to this princess!"

Chapter 97: Chapter 97: Defeating a Some 'Powerful' Enemies
Among the two types of slimes below the depression, there was a large slime in each category, making it a bit challenging for Ellin to handle on her own.
Moreover, with an abundance of water elements there, it was perfect for the display of lightning elements. Fischl gathered her power and unleashed a charged shot.
The entire pool of water crackled with lightning. The water slimes facing the lightning attack could hardly resist, and two small water slimes quickly burst open under the pressure!
The large one barely held on until the lightning elements were depleted, but it was already on its last legs. Nolan took the opportunity to fire an armor-piercing arrow, delivering the final blow.
[Defeated A Powerful Enemy, Obtained 166 Adventure EXP.]
Swiftly defeating the water slimes inevitably alerted the rock slimes.
However, given their intelligence, their first reaction wasn't to flee but to angrily attack Nolan and the others!
However, by the time they bounced up the slope from below the depression, Nolan and the others had plenty of time to easily deal with these geo slimes.
A soft smile curved Fischl's lips, and she slightly lifted her fair chin, saying,
"Hmph! Witness the might of the Immernachtreich's Thundering Smite!"
She suddenly recalled Oz, the night raven, and then looked towards the group of geo slimes.
With her right hand clad in black silk sleeves that exposed her palms, she gently clenched it. A night raven formed of shadows and lightning once again descended from the Dark Realm, bringing with it the thunderous judgment.
The geo slimes were instantly blasted away by the force of the thunder, and even their rock armor, which was unresponsive to lightning elements, was easily shattered!
Some purple energy orbs were born from the use of elemental skills, floating towards Fischl's body, being absorbed by her.
She had previously used up her stored elemental energy during the integrated flight with the night raven, so now she could accumulate some elemental energy by using elemental skills.
Otherwise, she wouldn't have a readily available elemental burst.
Fischl's Elemental Skill "Nightrider" allowed her to summon Oz at a designated location when he was absent, unleashing a devastating electro strike on her foes - a cunning tactic for an ambush.
After the rock armor shattered, the geo slimes couldn't reassemble themselves in a short time.
For geo slimes, without their rock armor on top, they felt insecure and immediately began to panic and retreat.
Their soft and bouncy bodies, hopping and running back, were quite amusing!
Fischl's soft legs, wrapped in black stockings, parted slightly, and her arms and shoulders straightened as she pulled the bowstring.
Looking down the underside of her arm, she once again saw the smooth white armpits and the soft, round curves of her chest.
Before Fischl could unleash her thunderous attack, Nolan quickly defeated the large slime with two consecutive arrows.
[Defeated A Powerful Enemy, Obtained 178 Adventure EXP.]
"Hey! How dare a mere attendant steal the Princess' quarry!" Fischl huffed, her emerald eyes glaring at Nolan in some dissatisfaction.
Cough... Your Highness, as an attendant, it's my duty to share your burdens. How can I trouble you to take action for such a trivial matter..." Nolan tried to brush it off.
In fact, there was no need to be overly secretive with Fischl. After all, it was normal for people to have some secrets, and as a friend, she would surely understand not to delve too deeply.
Being too obvious in covering up would only make oneself appear too concerned, which would create resentment among everyone, and one couldn't afford to accidentally lower the favorability rating.
"Hmph~ Why didn't you say that just now!" Fischl put away her bow and arrows, her hands clasped under her chest, lifting her fair chin, with a very satisfied look on her face.
[Fischl Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 240 Affection Points, Current Affection Level Lv.7 (200/700).]
He thought with a chuckle that what she said and what she thought were completely different...
Speaking of which, this scene seemed familiar, as if it had happened before.
"Ellin, I'll leave those two remaining slimes to you!" Nolan smiled and said.
"Sure thing, leave it to me!" Ellin replied happily.
The EXPs provided by the two small slimes weren't much, so they could continue to be handed over to Eileen for practice.
After the rock helmets of the small geo slimes were shattered, they seemed weaker than the water slimes. After all, the latter had water attacks, while the former just fled when scared.
So Ellin quickly dealt with them, once again putting her studies into practice and gaining more experience in dealing with enemies. With these, Ellin didn't feel like she wasted the pocket money she had saved up for so long.
"Let's go, let's see if we can dig out those ores below," Nolan said excitedly.
"Huh?" Eileen collected all the Slime Condensate that had fallen from the defeated Slimes, and heard Nolan's words, and asked with a slight bit of doubt, "But, you have to have a tool if you want to dig out the ores, right?"
Ellin was right.
To mine crystal ores, one needed excavation tools. As a last resort, heavy weapons like greatswords could be used to smash them and collect them.
However, in doing so, the parts of the crystal ores buried underground couldn't be collected, and besides, they didn't have anyone proficient in using two-handed weapons.
"Don't worry about that, Miss has quite a complete set of exploration-related items." Oz, flapping his night-winged feathers, reassured them.
"That's right!"
Fischl flipped her fair palm, and a wooden-handled iron shovel appeared, which she then inserted into the damp soil of the cave.
"This is the tool for excavating treasures that this princess uses in this world. The only treasure originating from the Evernight Kingdom!"
She stood on the foothold of the shovel, wearing black ankle boots, and released the shovel, embracing her chest covered with meshed black silk, glancing at Nolan, and continued, "Hmph~ My attendant, do not let such divine artifacts go to waste!"
"What Miss means is that there's only one shovel, so the mining task can only be left to you, Sir Nolan." Oz reiterated as usual.
"Uh..."
Nolan paused, looked at Ellin, and noticed her slightly blushing face. Then, she silently averted her gaze, shifting it to the ground.
Little Amy even gazed at him confidently with her beautiful eyes, as if saying with a righteous air, with an attendant present, there was no need for the princess herself to take action!
Well, since there was only one shovel, as a guy, it really wasn't appropriate to let a girl take the lead.
The three carefully descended the slope towards the depression ahead.
The moss-covered mountain wall blocking the end was slightly greenish due to the abundance of moisture, and slightly greenish crystals seemed to "grow" in the crevices where the mountain wall met the ground.
These clear objects from the earth were valuable materials for making weapons and could also be forged into "Fine Forged Magical Ores" to strengthen weapons. They were very practical ores.
The market price was probably between 1,500 to 2,000 Mora per piece, and there generally wasn't much fluctuation within this range.
And now, there were quite a few crystal ores here. After a rough estimate, their value was not low. Thinking of this, Nolan plunged the iron shovel into the soil next to a crystal ore and began to excavate.

Chapter 98: Chapter 98: Mist Flower Corolla
A mere iron spade could not dislodge the crystal ore directly—it was unyielding as a mountain. The only way was to loosen the soil around it and excavate the entire embedded crystal ore.
This posed no great problem, save the toil it demanded of Nolan. Mining was laborious work indeed.
And try as he might to avoid it, at times the spade would strike a stubborn rock, sending jarring forces up the shaft to numb his hands—for every action meets its equal opposite reaction.
Unable to aid in the digging, Ellin sought instead to gather the slime condensate from the pool where Fischl and Nolan had defeated the aquatic slimes.
However, when Fischl and Nolan defeated these water slimes, they were in the water, so now their drops were also at the bottom of the pond.
Due to the clear water quality, it was apparent that the pond was quite deep, probably about thirty to forty centimeters.
Fortunately, Eileen was wearing shorts, so as long as she took off her boots, she could easily collect the slime condensate without getting her clothes wet.
"Oof,~ It's cold!"
Finding a relatively dry rock, she took off her boots and socks, then waded into the water.
The stagnant water in the cave, without sunlight for years, was unusually cold, feeling like just-melted ice blocks. After taking a few steps, she regretted it a bit.
But the loot was right in front of her, within reach. If she gave up now, Miss Fischl and Mr. Nolan would look down on her. So, gritting her teeth, Ellin continued to endure.
She leaned her upper body forward, reaching into the water with her fair palm. With a slightly strained expression, the elemental ores, emitting a faint glow from the water element, shone brightly in her hand.
Finally, Ellin successfully touched the slime condensate, grabbed it, and hastily left the pond as if escaping.
When she returned to the shore, her feet were already red from the cold, and her sense of touch was somewhat dulled.
"Oh dear, Miss Ellin, are you okay?" Oz noticed Ellin's condition and asked with concern.
"I-I'm fine."
While speaking, Ellin's voice trembled slightly with her teeth chattering. Then, unable to hold it in, she covered her nose and sneezed, causing her orange ponytail to sway.
"Uh, looks like I caught a bit of a cold." Ellin looked at her damp palms caused by the water from her nose and said to avoid further colds, "I'll go warm up by the campfire over there!"
"Alright, go ahead!" Oz nodded.
With Ellin's task completed, Nolan finally dug out a whole piece of crystal ore.
Judging by its weight, he estimated that it was equivalent to about three standard kilograms of crystal ore commonly found on the market, valued at around six thousand mora.
This wasn't a small amount, and there were about four similar pieces.
Fischl approached the dug-out crystal ore, squatted down, and with her semi-transparent black stockings snugly fitting her legs, she pressed her fair hand against the clear and transparent crystal.
The purple Vision flickered slightly, successfully turning this piece of crystal ore into dots of light and storing it.
Her Vision had a load of over thirty kilograms. Besides some food and drinking water for a few days and essential outdoor items such as tents, there was also spare carrying capacity specifically used to store exploration gains.
Therefore, it was no problem to load all the crystal ore here.
Nolan took a slight breath and then continued to mine other crystal ores.
Clink, clank!
In terms of mining, an iron shovel was not as efficient as an iron pickaxe, and the efficiency was a bit too low. However, Nolan possessed the talent [Abundant Life], which accelerated his stamina recovery.
For an ordinary person, using an iron shovel to mine for such a long time would have probably exhausted them long ago!
Nolan looked at the only digging artifact in theEvernight Kingdom that was completely worn-out, and somewhat helplessly looked towards the Ruler of Ashen Darkness.
"Hmph!"
Fischl crossed her arms beneath her chest covered by a black skirt, slightly pretending to be angry as she turned her head away, revealing her fair ears under her golden hair.
Watching Fischl's proud appearance, Nolan gently smiled and comforted, "Well, this divine weapon can also be upgraded now. As a member of the Evernight Kingdom, it retires with honor in its shining glory. The princess should be happy for it!"
"Hmm, what you said makes sense." Fischl touched her fair and soft chin, pondered for a moment, and nodded in agreement.

After Fischl collected all the ores, Nolan hesitated as he looked at the elemental ores in the pond.
Because elemental ores couldn't be collected with ordinary tools.
Just like the ore containing lightning elements, the electric crystal, to collect it, one needed to use pyro elements to attack it and cause an overload reaction to easily obtain it.
Similarly, water elemental ores, according to the records of the Adventurers' Guild, were similar to electric crystals and required a corresponding element to collect them smoothly, which was the ice element.
Forcing other methods was entirely a thankless task.
Like electric crystals, it would also be harmed by water elements upon contact, and of course, ice elements were not the only way to collect water elemental ores.
As long as one was strong enough, they could directly break it with their hands.
But obviously, Nolan hadn't reached that level, so he could only use the method of attacking with ice elements.
When adventurers encountered water elemental ores during exploration, they would generally use ice cubes or catch a small cryo slime to solve the problem.
Unfortunately, Nolan had none of these.
The elemental potions he had were all pyro and electro elements, and looking at Eileen roasting above, it was apparent that she didn't have anything related to ice elements either.
So Nolan finally turned to Fischl, who was the last possibility among the few present.
Otherwise, they could only temporarily miss out on these valuable water elemental ores and collect them later.
"Sigh~" Fischl sighed pretentiously, slightly lifting her fair chin, placing her hands on her waist, and lightly touching her soft abdomen tightly covered by the black silk bodysuit. She said somewhat proudly, "It seems this princess's intervention is required once more!"
"Oh?" Nolan cooperatively showed a puzzled expression, "Does the princess have a solution?"
"Of course!"
Fischl took two steps closer to Nolan and the pond.
The purple-black intertwined hem of her skirt swayed slightly, revealing her thighs covered by the over-knee strap-style black silk stockings. Even in the dimly lit cave environment illuminated only by firelight, they couldn't conceal their snowy whiteness and softness.
She raised her palm slightly, and a blue flower emitting a faint cold air appeared in her palm.
"This is the ice mist flower that the young miss collected some time ago. The cold air on it is well preserved in her Vision and has not completely dissipated. It should be no problem to use it to collect these water elemental ores!"
Oz, flapping his wings and flying, explained for his young miss.

Chapter 99: Chapter 99: The Windmill Flower Garden
"Ice Mist Flower?"
Nolan had a pretty deep impression of this plant. In contrast to the Flame Flower, it harbored ice elements and liked to grow near water. If one wasn't careful while collecting it and ended up getting themselves wet, there was a high probability of being frozen by the cold air.
These were all lessons learned from Nolan's experience playing the original game.
The Ice Mist Flower's formidable cold air could even freeze oneself. As a means of self-protection, one needed to use flames to thaw it out in order to collect it.
This wasn't actually difficult because matches or a fire starter were essential for making fires in the wild.
Just find a few dry branches to light up and place them nearby to solve the problem.
On the contrary, ice blocks were not easy to carry because they would melt if left for too long. Generally speaking, adventurers exploring wouldn't bring such things, especially when encountering problems like water elemental ores that required ice elements to solve.
They would simply make a note of the location and figure out a solution later.
"Speaking of which, if I bring this flower into the water to mine, will I freeze myself and be unable to come out?"
Nolan looked at Fischl, who was presenting the Ice Mist Flower in front of him, with a somewhat helpless expression.
Although he didn't want to shirk responsibility, this matter was indeed a bit difficult for him.
After all, it was quite unbelievable to take the Ice Mist Flower, still emitting cold air, into the water. There was a danger of accidentally freezing oneself.
"Cough, it's the fault of this princess's lack of consideration." Fischl's fair face showed a slight blush, and she coughed awkwardly before turning to her attendant, Oz, and saying, "Oz, I'll leave this task to you!"
She didn't want to admit it, but she had become somewhat accustomed to relying on reliable attendants when encountering problems.
"No problem, miss."
Oz nodded and flew towards the water with the Ice Mist Flower in his claw. Since he didn't touch the water, there was no problem with the Ice Mist Flower, which was emitting cold air.
It just felt a bit chilly.
And because Oz could fly, he wouldn't get wet, so it was quite suitable for him to collect the water elemental ores.
Nolan watched as Oz grabbed the Ice Mist Flower and lightly touched the tip of a water elemental ore exposed on the surface of the water, originally appearing as a water-blue crystal.
Under the action of the cold air, it turned into a color similar to ice.
After about five or six seconds, the surface of the water elemental ore connected to the earth shattered like ice, and the core blue water elemental crystal fell into the water under the influence of gravity.
Oz easily grabbed it with his other claw, successfully collecting a piece of Hydro Elemental Ore.
There were a total of three hydro elemental ores in the water pool. With the Ice Mist Flower, Oz successfully collected them back and forth a few times.
"Miss, mission accomplished!"
After Night Raven Oz collected the three water elemental ores, everyone found that the water level in the pool began to slowly recede until it disappeared.
Then, with a "bang," a delicate treasure chest emerged.
Nolan's eyes lit up. So, were these water elemental ores part of a puzzle mechanism?
"Your Highness, let's see what luck you have!"
Treasure chests of the same level could open things that were largely different, but things like Primogems appeared randomly.
Nolan lacked a bit of confidence in his own luck, so handing it over to the dignified little Amy was a good choice.
Perhaps even the elusive "luck" would give the ruler of the Ashen Darkness, the Princess of Evernight Kingdom, some face!
"Well, since my reliable attendant says so, then leave it to this princess!"
Fischl stepped forward with her legs clad in mismatched black stockings, leaving imprints on the mud where the water had just receded.
She had just thought of squatting down to open the treasure chest when she suddenly realized that doing so would soil the hem of her skirt with the mud on the ground.
Although it was normal to get clothes dirty during adventures, it was easy to change them later.
But since it could be avoided, there was no need to make oneself uncomfortable.
"My ever-reliable attendant, come assist your princess. This dress woven from the Evernight Kingdom cannot be stained by such stubborn filth!"
Fischl lifted the hem of her skirt slightly with her hands, revealing her slightly concealed legs wrapped in black stockings under the skirt.
Turning her head with golden hair, her green eyes looked at Nolan with some trouble.
"Alright, as you command, Princess!"
Nolan smiled in accordance with Little Amy's character and replied, then stepped forward to take the hem of her skirt from her own hands.
The texture of the fabric was very soft, but it felt a bit chilly in this environment.
At this moment, a affection prompt from the system panel also popped up.
[Fischl Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 120 Affection Points. Current Affection Level Lv.7 (410/700)]
Although she didn't say it verbally and didn't show it during their interaction, Fischl actually quite liked Nolan.
After all, he was one of the few who understood her temperament and was willing to cooperate with her.
So, when Fischl developed a favorable impression of him, it was relatively easier for her.
Fischl bent down slightly, and the purple-black hem of her skirt automatically lifted in Nolan's hands, revealing the snow-white thighs wrapped in stockings.
"Click!"
The exquisite treasure chest was easily opened, and Nolan's gaze also glanced over Fischl's golden hair and snow-white shoulders to see what was inside the chest.
Surprisingly, the scene of glittering Mora was gone...
Even the Primogems that Nolan was looking forward to were not there. Instead, there was only a roll of yellowed paper. Even Oz, the night raven, looked slightly surprised and said:
"Oh, this situation is quite rare!"
Generally speaking, what could be found inside a treasure chest were Mora, artifacts, raw stones, and elemental imprints like the anemo sigils. It was uncommon for things unrelated to these to appear.
"But this rolled-up paper in the chest might be even more precious. Let's open it and see what it is."
Nolan speculated with a mindset that generally wouldn't go wrong.
"Haha, the attendant makes a valid point. Indeed, you are worthy of being this princess!"
Fischl took the rolled-up paper from the chest and stood up, her fair fingertips pinching the end of the scroll gently, causing the entire paper to unfold.
On the yellowed paper was a mountain picture, with a red circle drawn somewhere in the upper right corner marked as "Windmill Flower Garden," and then a long red dashed line extending down to the lower left corner marked as "Unnamed Mountain Cave."
"Oh? Is this a guide map from here to the 'Windmill Chrysanthemum(Flower) Garden'?" Oz pondered for a moment and said.
"I have a hunch that there must be treasure there!"
A smile appeared on Fischl's fair face, and her soft lips moved slightly as she spoke.

Chapter 100: Chapter 100: The Unexpected Windstorm
"A treasure map?" Nolan nodded, somewhat agreeing. Finding something like this in a treasure chest wasn't particularly surprising.
After all, such occurrences were common in the original game. Although he didn't understand it for the time being, there must be some reason behind it.
Besides, the mere existence of a treasure chest was already miraculous enough; having a treasure map was nothing extraordinary.
"By the way, I'm not sure what time it is now. We should head out and check. If it's too late, we'll have to put off the treasure hunt until tomorrow," Nolan said, gently releasing the plum-black hem of Fischl' off-shoulder mini dress.
The sliding hem lightly brushed against the soft legs wrapped in black stockings due to gravity.
Fischl nodded and walked back from the muddy ground. "Hmm, let's go back!"
As they walked along the gentle slope and reached the top, they called Ellin, who was still roasting by the fire, ready to leave the cave. After all, they had reached the end of the cave, and there was no other place to explore.
Leaving the depression with the water pool, the flame gradually disappeared, and the cave returned to darkness.
It didn't take long before Nolan's group reached the cavern entrance, greeted by golden rays of the setting sun pouring in, bathing the walls in a warm amber glow.
"Finally out. It feels a bit oppressive staying in a dark cave for too long!"
Ellin ran to the outside of the cave and opened her arms as if to embrace the sun.
Nolan and Fischl followed closely behind. Bathed in the sunlight, Fischl felt lazy all over and couldn't help but stretch.
Interlocking her fingers, she raised her hands with the palms facing upwards, wearing black thin long-sleeved gloves.
Her snow-white armpits were fully exposed, and the curves of her chest wrapped in the shoulder-revealing skirt and bodysuit were also accentuated.
"At this time, we might not be able to go to the 'Windmill Chrysanthemum Garden'!"
After all, according to the map, it seemed quite far away. In one or two hours, it might be completely dark, making it inconvenient to travel in the dark.
Although everyone had tents with them, they were only used as a precaution for camping in the wild. It was best to avoid it if possible.
After all, the wilderness at night was still a bit dangerous.
"Yeah, if we don't go back soon, Mom and Dad might worry!" Ellin nodded, her orange ponytail swaying slightly.
After all, she still couldn't handle things independently. It was natural for her parents to worry.
"Well, this princess is also tired. Let's go back."
Fischl parted her lips, yawning a bit, and was about to move her legs clad in black stockings to leave.
Her attendant, Oz the raven, suddenly noticed something and looked up at the sky.
"Miss, look! up there - some huge creature is flying this way!" Oz said with some surprise.
Hearing Oz's words, everyone looked curiously at the dim sky. With their good eyesight, Nolan was the first to see a large creature flying towards them from the upper right corner.
A draconic head. A verdant body. Three tiers of breathtakingly beautiful wings, large to small, arrayed in descending order from front to back.
However, despite the appearance of this creature resembling something out of a fantasy, Nolan showed no appreciation. Instead, his pupils shrank as he shouted, "Run! Get back into the cave quickly!"
However, whether it was Ellin or Fischl, they were momentarily immersed in shock, their reactions slightly slower. The verdant draconic being swiftly flew over them from above.
"...Whew." Just as Nolan thought the ethereal dragon hadn't noticed them and started to relax—
"Kyaa!" The two girls couldn't help but cry out.
An unstoppable gale force wind immediately followed, effortlessly sweeping up the grounded trio like leaves in the breeze, about to smash them against the cavern walls.
Fischl was probably of a higher level, but neither of the girls had Nolan's strong physique. If they crashed like this, they might not be seriously injured, but it would definitely be painful.
Fortunately, Nolan was slightly behind them when they were swept away, so he instinctively shielded them in his arms.
The warm and soft sensation of the girls' bodies just transmitted to his brain through his hands, and then a stronger sense of pain came from his back!
Nolan realized that he might have overestimated himself; the force of the hurricane was too violent.
Even with the adventure backpack as a cushion, he almost spat out blood without directly hitting the cave wall.
Subsequently, Nolan was rubbed against the wall by the remaining kinetic force of the hurricane, feeling as if the backpack had completely disintegrated and its contents were scattered all over the ground.
Finally, Nolan fell to the ground, rolling several times while protecting Fischl and Ellin, before coming to a stop.
He lay on the ground with the girls' soft bodies pressing on his hands, unable to move at all. His back felt hot, aching, but fortunately, the pain was relatively superficial, indicating that his muscles or bones were not injured.
Fischl and Ellin, cushioned by Nolan's backpack and body, except for the final rolls on the ground, hardly had any other bumps or bruises.
The two girls quickly got up and turned back, patting Nolan's cheek. Fischl's expression was somewhat worried as she asked, "Nolan, are you alright?"
She leaned over Nolan's body, her knees pressed against the ground through the black stockings, the purple-black skirt hanging down along the curve of her buttocks, eventually touching the ground and getting slightly damp with mud.
Ellin also asked him with the same worried tone.
Nolan turned his head, spat out a bit of blood with barely perceptible traces, took a deep breath, and smiled, "Help me up. Luckily, there was cushioning from the backpack; it should be fine!"
Of course, His words weren't just bravado - the minor self-healing boost from the [ Abundant Life ] specialty was kicking in, the pain already starting to dull.
Hearing Nolan's words, which didn't seem forced, the two girls breathed a sigh of relief.
"Thank you!"
Ellin helped Nolan up. She hesitated for a moment, wanting to express her gratitude, but didn't know what to say. In the end, she could only express her gratitude with the simplest words.
[Ellin Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 300 Affection Points. Current Affection Level: Lv.3 (135/300)]
"Hey! Nolan -Whatever, you, don't take the initiative to shield this princess from harm next time. It's just a bump; it's not a big deal!"
The worried expression on Fischl's fair face faded away as she stood up, crossed her arms over her chest, and then revealed a slightly annoyed expression.
[Fischl Has Developed Good Feelings Towards You, Obtained 450 Affection Points. Current Affection Level: Lv.8 (160/800)]
Looking at the significantly increased favorability of the two, Nolan felt that it was fine to do it again, but then again, the creature that just appeared must have been Stormterror AKA Dvalin, right?
How did it appear here? Nolan was slightly confused.
