Welcome back to Elemental Crisis Book III. Last time, everybody met up after their Element training sessions. The general agreement is that everybody is doing relatively well, they've just got some challenges to work through. So far, so standard. But everybody agreed that these issues can hold on a bit while they get some lunch. Meanwhile, Myriad, General Luthor, and Malefic J'onnz regroup, and Myriad has a plan in the works, a familiar Kryptonite sword and a Dark Gem shield being fabricated. So, what's next for our heroes? Read on to discover...

(Our scene opens as Spyro, Cynder, and the League are about to resume their training sessions after lunch, and it looks like everybody is ready to get back to it.)

Spyro: Got to admit, the food here was better than I expected.

Martian Manhunter: We take pride in that.

Cynder: Now that our stomachs are filled, let's get back to work.

Supergirl: I'm with you there, Cynder. (Starting to levitate from confidence) I have that feeling I'll be able to get it down this time, I just know it!

Spyro: (Sensing something with Supergirl) Let's just get back out to the grounds first.

(But before the group can resume their work, a random D.E.O. Agent enters, looking for Martian Manhunter)

D.E.O. Agent: Director, there's a call for you from ARGUS. They say it's urgent.

Martian Manhunter: (Slightly confused) I didn't call ARGUS.

Flash: (Remembering earlier) I did. Before all of this really began. Cisco must've been trying to reach us for who knows how long now.

Martian Manhunter: Good to know. (To the agent) We'll take that call in the conference room.

(In a moment, the scene switches to the conference room, where everyone is gathered as the call comes through from ARGUS, revealing a familiar goggle clad face)

Cisco: Barry, dude, what the heck? I've been trying to reach you for days now!

Flash: (To Spyro and Cynder) Spyro, Cynder, meet my old friend Cisco Ramon, Director of Technology and Science at ARGUS. (To Cisco) Sorry about that Cisco, a lot has happened since I contacted you.

Cisco: (Removing his goggles) That's the understatement of the millennium it sounds like. First off, why didn't you tell me Spyro and Cynder were, for one, real, and for another, in our universe?!

Spyro: We would've gotten back to you sooner, but it turns out we weren't the only thing to come from our world. Malefor followed us too after taking our Elements from us.

Cisco: That psycho is back? And he's got your Elements?

Cynder: Had them is more accurate. Three are still unaccounted for, but most of them are in this room right now.

Cisco: So you two have them back already? Nice.

Flash: Not exactly. (Summons a flame in his hands) The League's got them.

Cisco: (Completely stunned by that) Well, that's... a new one on me. But honestly, it comes at a good time. We completed the analysis of that rock you sent in.

Flash: Well, let us have it.

Cisco: It's honestly best you avoid these things. Now knowing that Malefor is involved with sending these two here, there's only one thing that rock could be. It's a Dark Gem.

(At this moment, Spyro and Cynder look at each other in almost surprise. Sure it's stunned them, but then they realize who's behind this and remember it's not unexpected. Meanwhile, everybody else is just confused.)

Flash: And that means what exactly?

Spyro: Bad news.

Cynder: Those things drain the very energy of life out of everything they come across. But if there's Elemental Energy to drain, it starts with that before going for the life force.

Cisco: Unfortunately it took an ARGUS scientist or two passing out before I saw the thing and knew what was going on.

Spyro: And Malefor is the source of those vile things. If he's around, he can generate more of them as needed.

Cynder: Chances are he's going to outfit his Dark Knights with them as a counter to us.

Cisco: I've already got ARGUS working on something. Would go a lot faster if we had the D.E.O. on our side.

Martian Manhunter: You'll have it. Have your team send us the data and we'll see what we can do.

Cisco: Can do, J'onn.

Cynder: In the meantime, we had best resume our training. If our two successful Element users are neutralized while the other three are still getting theirs down, we'll be sitting ducks.

Superman: Agreed. We can't waste a minute.

Spyro: Then let's get back to work.

Flash: I'll get working with Cisco's data in the lab and see what we can do in the meantime.

Batwoman: And the rest of us will steel this place's defenses in case the Dark Knights come knocking.

Cynder: Alright then everybody, into action!

(And as the team splits back up to accomplish their tasks, our tale ends for today)

And that looks like a good place to end for now. So, with Cisco involved, the threat of the Dark Gems is revealed to the League, and it couldn't come at a better time, with us knowing the Dark Knights have them ready to go. But will their preparations be enough to stop them? Tune in next time to hopefully start discovering. Same time... same channel!
