Hoping to put his past behind him, Shinji accepts only for the city to be attacked by a monster. Now he must defend humanity with the help of the military organization called NERV. He only hopes that his training under Tojo Clan Chairman Kazuma Kiryu will be enough to survive.

Two important events occurred from Second Impact that would change Earth and those who lived on it. The first, being the Impact Wars and eventually, the attack of the Angels.
