This is also on Archive of Our Own, but I decided to have it updated around the same time as the Fanfiction version... just to see if people are interested in reading this on fanfiction, but yes, this is going to be the story of Pokemon, only with Starfire and the Tamareaneans (from the 2003 version of Teen Titans) added into the mix. I was interested in this pairing for quite a while now, and figured, 'why not'? Now, this is Rated T for now, but keep in mind, as more chapters come, that MIGHT change. We'll see what happens. For now, here's the first chapter of a beginning to Starfire and Ash Ketchum's journey...

Deep in the outskirts of space, a ship was seen flying by. However, this was no ordinary space ship, but rather, a large orangish-red spaceship that seemed to be heading for a marked destination. A rather threatening spaceship that was driven by strange creatures that were strangely different… not human, but creatures. Very distinct blue scaly creatures with menacing red eyes, wearing yellow helmets and armor padding on their chests, and large blue tails. As of the current moment, they were currently delivering a few strange creatures, preferably for another planet.

However, while most of the creatures in the cages were cooperating, there was one that was breaking out of its cage, slamming down on the door and letting out a loud scream as a few of the blue scaled creatures came rushing in, carrying bladed staffs before looking towards the door in concern. Whatever was in there sounded very angry as it slammed on the door HARD.

"The door will hold?" One of the creatures asked as he looked up in concern.

"It must!" Another creature said as he gripped his staff. "The alien WILL be delivered on schedule. Lord Trogaar commands it!"

They could only watch as they heard the door being pounded on, the structure looking ready to weaken at any moment.

"And if this thing gets loose?" Another creature asked, raising an eyebrow.

The fourth creature could only sigh as he narrowed his eyes towards the door. "Then Zorg help us all…"

A loud scream was heard as a small glass that was on the door started to crack, with two glowing green eyes opening up and glaring. The four aliens gripped their staffs, ready for action… but then, all of a sudden, the door flew off its hinges and landed in front of the guards as they looked up.

The prisoner stepped out of the cell and into the light, as they got a good look at the strange figure before them. It was an orange-skinned humanoid girl with long red hair. However, she was dressed in black clothing, metal armored undergarments, a face framing crown, and large cuffs that covered her hands and forearms that was connected to both ends. Her attitude, however, showed a less-than-pleased look as she spoke in a strange alien language.

"Zengtha ru maka! Kek zengtha ror!" The girl called out in anger before charging through her captors. One of the blue scaled aliens tried to use his staff to subdue the girl, but the orange skinned maiden let out a loud scream before slamming her cuffed arms on the warrior, knocking him out. She repeated the words in anger once more before dispatching a few more alien soldiers, swinging around wildly. One guard tried to charge in for a counterattack, only for the girl to swing at the spear, breaking it in two, and causing the alien to drive itself into a wall.

In one universe, it would have tripped an alarm and broke the control panel, opening a door. However, the direction of the wall had another button, which broke as another panel opened up, not too far from the girl's general direction. It was then a small sound came from the room, getting the girl's attention.

Normally, escape would be on this girl's mind, but that particular moment, curiosity got the better of her. Still, she wasn't going to let this creature, whatever it is, impede her progress. No, she'll dispatch of it quickly if it was a threat.

She flew towards the door and stopped short… only to stop as her eyes went from an intense green look of anger, to a more, softer green.

Inside was a strange pink creature, with a swirly tail, small little wings on its back and brown, pointy ears, being encaptured by a small ball as it looked around in fear, trying to release itself. The girl examined the creature in curiosity as she flew over, examining it, noting the creature's plea for help.

"Cle… fairy… clef…" The pink creature groaned before noting that it had company. It looked up and noted the strange girl standing before her, its eyes filling with tears.

The tall girl immediately took sympathy on this poor little creature in front of her. Sure, she was determined to find a way out, but there was no way she could leave this adorable creature behind. Saying something in her strange alien language, she calmly soothed the small creature as it looked up to her. The pink creature could only give a small smile, before noting the girl raising her cuffed arms and slamming it on the glass, freeing the creature.

"CLEFAIRY!" The pink creature cheered in excitement as it looked up at the girl.

The girl gave a smile, before hearing the sound of heavy footsteps. Her eyes immediately went intense as she turned to the creature, speaking in her alien language and motioning her head.

As if understanding it, the creature nodded as she hopped on the girl's back before she started to fly up, readying her next attack. Sure enough, another guard came rushing in.

"Captain! The alien is still out, and she's freeing that strange creature we caught outside earlier! What are your com-" The alien called, but it was about as far as he could talk before the girl slammed her cuffed arms towards the alien and knocking down on the control panel in the wall, opening all doors.

"Heska vo." The prisoner whispered viciously before taking flight, with the pink creature hanging on tightly. As the girl continued to fly, she was trying her best to get her arms out of the bindings… little realizing that the pink creature was moving its arms before glowing.

Much to the flying girl's surprise, she saw that her bindings had now came loose as she looked at her now free hands. But she didn't have time to think about it, as she spotted a hole on the lower hull. She and the pink creature used it to escape.

The pink creature looked back, having a strange feeling that these aliens were going to be a problem… as the pink creature closed its eyes, it started to swing its arms back and forth, as a white glow appeared around the girl and the female alien…

The girl noticed her glowing as she was making a beeline towards this blue planet that wasn't too far from her sight and turned to see the pink creature waving its arms, finishing the glow. Before she knew it, both creatures had disappeared…

—-

The commander of the ship, a blue fish like creature with yellow fins on its arms, legs and back, a yellow spiked belly, a yellow framed face and red eyes, was looking at the radar as he was watching two blinking dots heading towards the backwater place known as the Earth… before it blinked off the map entirely. "What? What happened?"

One of the blue aliens in charge of the radar frowned as he tried to type in some numbers. "They just… disappeared."

The captain of the ship growled as he stood up. "Well, those creatures couldn't have gone far! Get to Earth, we have two wanted aliens to account for!"

"But sir, there could be a chance that they're not on Earth…" The blue alien suggested.

The captain alien paused briefly as he gave a small sigh. Sure, it would be tough to bring in a planet that wasn't exactly involved in affairs, but it was a sacrifice he had to make. "If we have to, we'll collect a few of their specimens for our Lord, but our main priority is finding those two creatures. And if they're not on this world, then who knows where they are. Even if we have to find the right galaxy to find them, we'll do whatever it takes!"

The radar alien paused briefly as he looked up at his fearful commander, before taking a deep breath. "Setting coordinates for planet Earth…"

With that, the ship headed towards the direction the girl and the pink creature were heading, hoping to find their location on Earth once they arrived.

The two strange alien creatures suddenly appeared out of nowhere as the tall, female red haired girl took a look at her surroundings. It looked like the same planet she was going, but she had a strange feeling in the back of her head that this was not the planet she had in mind. She turned to the pink creature who got off as she growled in anger, pointing at it as it said something in its alien language, most likely saying, "Where did you take us to?"

The pink creature could only look up at the girl with a cute expression on its face, looking rather happy. The red haired girl took a few deep breaths as she tried to calm herself, trying to take a few deep breaths, before looking back at the smiling pink creature. Her intense eyes quickly softened to a softer green once again as she decided to take in the peaceful area, noting a few strange creatures that were roaming around, from white monkeys with pig noses swinging through the trees, to yellowish moles scurrying around the area. It looked like a nice little woodland area with plenty of strange creatures roaming around, and this immediately got her curiosity roaming.

"Clefairy?" The pink creature noted as it cocked its head.

The red haired alien just looked speechless as she looked down towards the pink creature… pausing before leaning over and touching the pink creature. The pink creature paused in confusion, before noting the girl giving it a smile.

"Clefairy? Clefairy?" The red haired girl asked in confusion.

"CLEFAIRY!" The pink creature grinned as it gave a nod, before looking confused. Now, to some people, it felt like gibberish, but in an effort to save a little time, maybe it'd be best to translate roughly what these two are saying.

"Where am I? Where have you taken me?" The red haired girl asked in confusion.

"WOW! You speak my language!" The pink creature jumped up in excitement, before looking confused. "Wait, how did you learn to speak my language that fast?"

"I'm from Tamaran. My people's way of learning languages from other worlds is through physical contact, usually by petting or kissing." The girl explained, before giving a frown. "But don't think for a minute that this excuses you from taking me away!"

"Well, I'm sorry, but… those meanie creatures were probably going to chase after us. I had to take you to another galaxy in another version of Earth." The pink creature explained.

"Another version of… Earth?" The girl asked.

"I was separated from my folks in space, and I was going to teleport back, when this ship came by and abducted me. Did you hear half the things those creatures said?" The pink creature frowned.

"All the more reason to escape the Gordonians." The girl sighed.

"Gordonians?" The pink creature blinked as it cocked its head in confusion.

"The creatures that have the kidnapped us." The girl explained. "They just raided my home one day, and even though I tried to fight them off, they captured me and cuffed me up, knowing I'd be a threat."

"I mean, you look pretty strong, and you can FLY, to boot! What are you, a psychic type?" The pink creature asked.

"Uh, well… I do not understand this 'psychic', but my people have powers beyond what you think." The girl explained.

"Can you show me?" The pink creature looked up in awe, looking rather excited.

The girl looked rather surprised, before motioning for the pink creature to stand back. The pink creature stepped to the side as the red haired girl started to glow green with her eyes as her hands also started to glow green. She flew up in the air before throwing green energy spheres towards a few empty trees, causing one of them to get sliced as it started to slide down and fall with a thud.

"WOW…" The pink creature said in amazement. "That's pretty good! It's no Defense Curl/Stored Power combination, but it's just as powerful."

"It is the way of my people." The girl smiled as she looked down. "I am Koriand'r, but I believe the language that translates it to is 'Starfire'."

"Nice to meet you, Starfire! I'm Clefairy, a cute little fairy girl Pokemon with an attitude to boot!" The pink creature smirked as she did a pose.

Starfire blinked twice in surprise, before giving a small smile towards the creature, before nodding. "Well, considering I don't know where I am, I suppose I might as well go to the nearest town, and see if there's a communication system nearby to talk to my home planet, let them know I'm all right."

"I wish I could teleport you, girl, but… well, Metronome is sort of random for me. I can teleport, but it's strictly limited to this world." Clefairy sighed. "Sorry if I'm not much help…"

Starfire paused nervously as she gave a sigh. "It is quite all right… although I do feel shame at showing weakness."

"Weakness? How?" Clefairy asked as the two started to walk forward in a northerly direction, hoping to get close to the next town.

"On my home planet, we only know rutha… weak." Starfire explained. "I feel I lost myself saving you."

"I don't see it as weak. I saw it as being nice. And I did a nice thing for you as well, right, by teleporting both of us as far away from those Gordonians as fast as possible, right?" Clefairy pointed out.

"Nice?" Starfire tilted her head in confusion. "I do not believe we have that word back in Tamaran."

"Come on, haven't you ever protected any of your family or friends in your world? I think that's considered nice." Clefairy pointed out.

"Our race is a proud, noble warrior type." Starfire explained. "Not really much for…"

It was then the two heard the sounds of screaming, as they stopped short. Starfire looked back in confusion. "What was that?"

"It sounded like… screaming?" Clefairy said in curiosity as they ducked out of the way and looked up at the sky, noticing a horde of angry red birds flying this way. "Uh, that's odd. Spearow don't usually migrate around this time… unless someone angered these birds…"

"LOOK!" Starfire gasped as she noted two other characters running ahead of the pack, looking rather panicked.

The first was a young boy, about ten years old, with brown eyes and black hair. He wore a black shirt with a blue short sleeved jacket with gold trim, white collar and sleeves, blue jeans with light blue cuffs, black and white sneakers with red dots, green fingerless gloves with light green borders, and a red and white hat with a stylized 'L' on it. He also had lightning bolt marks on his cheeks. He also had a green backpack on his back. All in all, an attire that didn't seem TOO out of place in this world.

He was also carrying a small yellow creature in his arms. It looked to be a mouse type of creature, with tall yellow ears with black tips on top, red cheeks, and a tail shaped like a lightning bolt. It looked a little too exhausted, beat up and looked ready to collapse as the young boy was holding him, looking back at the horde of red birds chasing after him as they started to trill, "SPEAROW!" at the two.

"That boy looks like he's in trouble!" Starfire gasped. "And that little mouse creature…"

"I don't know if we should interfere, Starfire." Clefairy said in concern. "Looks to me like that rookie trainer just pissed off the wrong horde of Spearow… those bird creatures you see before you…"

Starfire sighed as she turned to her friend. "I cannot stand idly by while someone is getting hurt… those Spearow, as you call them, seem to be intent on harming him… I got to help him!"

With that, Starfire began to fly up and glow her hands green as she started to fly up in the air. Clefairy could only give a small sigh before following Starfire on the ground, in the hopes of assisting her as she started waving her arms. Starfire started to throw green energy at the Spearow as the birds found themselves startled at the energy balls that came out of nowhere. Clefairy waved her arms in the air as she studied Starfire's abilities, summoning the same green energy itself from Starfire as her eyes lit up. Quickly, Clefairy threw the energy towards the Spearows as they started to scatter everywhere. Now, as the boy wasn't quite paying attention to the sky, he only noticed the strange pink Pokemon going forward and summoning that green energy. He only stopped for a mere moment, slowing his running down as he turned back, seeing that most of the Spearow horde that was after him was scattering away.

As soon as she was sure the horde of Spearow were scared away, Starfire landed back on the ground as she turned to Clefairy, who looked rather proud of herself. "How did you manage to get my moves down?"

"By studying you, of course!" Clefairy chuckled. "One of my moves is to study my opponent's and just use the same move as the last person that used it. In this case, though, it was a friend's move I was using."

Starfire's eyes lit up. "You have considered me the friend already?"

"Why not, girl?" Clefairy smiled.

"Uh… pardon me…"

The two immediately looked over at the boy, still carrying the rather exhausted rodent in his arms. He was looking at them with a mixture of curiosity and confusion.

"Uh… thanks for sending your Pokemon out to help me. What is it?" The boy asked.

"This is Clefairy." Starfire said as she pointed to Clefairy, as if introducing it.

"Star, girl, what are you doing?" Clefairy asked in confusion as she looked at her friend.

"What? I'm ju-" Starfire said, before gasping. "Oh! I guess I forgot…"

The boy looked rather dense as he looked confused. "Clefairy? Hang on, I sort of have my hands full, so I can't get out my Poked-"

Starfire then moved towards the boy and immediately pulled him over, putting her lips to his as she gave him a hard kiss on the lips, surprising the boy as his eyes went wide in shock. After a moment, the two separated from each other as Starfire said, "I'm sorry for that, it's a custom of my people."

The boy looked rather dazed as his lip twitched a bit, his feelings starting to get jumbled a little, before Starfire gave a small bow towards him. "Anyway, my name is Starfire, and this is my friend and compatriot, Clefairy. Anyway, are you all right? You and your little pet looked like you were in trouble…"

"...yeah, I'm-I'm okay…" The boy groaned a bit as he held the mouse close to his chest as it opened its eyes weakly. "Anyway, I'm Ash Ketchum, and this is my Pokemon, my starter, Pikachu. And thanks for helping us with those Spearow… they sort of got mad because I threw a rock at one of them, and they started attacking PIkachu, because they were jealous he was owned by a human…"

"Really?" Starfire asked as she looked down in curiosity.

"I thought we were going to be goners, but then your Pokemon came in… Clefairy, right? It's your Pokemon?" Ash asked, looking rather curious.

Starfire just looked at Ash in confusion. "Pokemon?"

"Well, you have to be a trainer, right? I mean, why else would you be with a Pokemon?" Ash asked.

Starfire paused as she turned to Clefairy in confusion. "Do you know what he's talking about?"

"Yeah, unfortunately." Clefairy sighed. "You see, animals in this world are known as Pokemon. For some, they're pets and lifelong companions, and for others, they're used for fights. Heck, there are some people that use them as both."

"Ohhhh…" Starfire nodded.

All this time, Ash just stared at Starfire in confusion as she was seen talking to her Pokemon. "Uhhh… are you like a… Pokemon whisperer or something?"

"Huh? Well… something like that." Starfire said. "Let's just say, I learn a lot of languages through physical contact…"

Ash blinked twice, before his eyes widened in awe. "Wow, that's… really amazing."

Starfire blinked twice, before blushing a bit as she gave a smile. "Thanks…"

"Piiii… ka… chu…" Pikachu groaned as he squeaked out, looking a little weak.

The young boy looked at Pikachu in concern as he looked worried. "Oh no… poor Pikachu is really hurt… don't worry, buddy, I'm going to take you somewhere to get better… I promise… I'm not letting you down."

Starfire looked over at the boy in concern as she cradled Pikachu in his arms, before looking at Clefairy. "Maybe we should help him get to the town at least."

"Well… I don't know…" Clefairy sighed as she looked skeptical… before giving a grin. "Who am I kidding? I always love a bit of company. Sure, let's bring the boy along! He looks like he needs a little help. After all, something about him just screams rookie!"

Starfire frowned a bit, before giving a smile, before turning towards Ash with a smile. "I'm actually on my way to the next town. You can come with me and Clefairy, if you like, and we can get your Pikachu here some proper medical attention?"

Ash looked up in surprise, before giving a smile. "Thank you. I don't mean to be a burden, but…"

"It's no burden at all." Starfire smiled. "Besides, I'm actually curious about… well, Pokemon in general. You seem like you know a bit."

Ash chuckled nervously as Clefairy climbed on Starfire's shoulders, as Starfire removed the helmet from her head. "Well, I can tell you what I know…"

"Please. Anything to learn about you and this world… my curiosity fills me with excitement." Starfire smiled as she and Ash started to briskly walk towards the next town, trying to get going as quickly as possible in hopes of getting Pikachu better.

"I guess it's a little complicated to explain… I mean, it's my first day as a trainer, and I feel like I loused up everything." Ash groaned. "But let me tell you how I got into that mess. You see, I live in another town not too far back from here known as Pallet Town. And I've been training since as far back as I can remember on Pokemon, going to camps and schools and the like on how Pokemon works. And when I turn ten, I have to pick a starter from Professor Oak. Well, I overslept that morning because I was staying up all night…"

Starfire listened in curiosity as Ash recounted his story, as the weak Pikachu listened in and looked up at Ash. The yellow rodent paused as he looked rather surprised at the young boy before him. Sure, he did have his problems with him, but the small rodent realized that he went through all this trouble to save his life, despite being a brat… still, maybe there was potential with Ash… maybe he can try and form a new friendship.

All the while, Clefairy looked between the two as she noted Starfire's small smile towards Ash. The pink Pokemon could only give a small smile to herself as she shook her head. She may not know much about Starfire's alien features, but she had a feeling that something big was about to happen… little did any of them know was that their journey into the Kanto region and the Pokemon world was about to become even bigger…

A few minutes earlier, a helicopter was seen flying by in the sky as Giovanni, the head of Team Rocket, was seen sitting down and looking out as he petted his trusty cat, Persian, giving a small smile to himself. He was currently on his way to New Island to check on the progress of a Pokemon experiment being secretly conducted by scientists that were part of Team Rocket's organizations. Pretty soon, he'd have a new legendary Pokemon of his own to control…

However, as he was flying over the forests of Route 1, he wouldn't normally look out and notice anything in particular, but from outside, he noticed something strange occurring down below. From a distance, he noticed a flock of Spearow flying away in panic as green energy balls seemed to be flying forward. Persian immediately went tense as he gave a small hiss.

"Come, Persian. It's just a trainer using Energy Ball on Spearow…" The boss said… before pausing. "Although the use of a grass type move on a FLYING type to scare it off… does intrigue me…"

He quickly pulled out some binoculars and leaned in as he got a closer look, adjusting them. However, much to his surprise, he didn't see any Grass Type Pokemon, but rather… a flying teenage girl in red hair wearing some sort of armor as she sent green energy from her hands towards those birds as they were being scared off.

"Hello…" Giovanni said in curiosity as he raised an eyebrow, noting the flying girl. "She looks human, yet she has the power of flight and firing psychic energy…"

He made a mental note in his mind to investigate further… and smirked as he used his binocular camera feature to snap a quick picture of the flying girl… Giovanni paused as he put the binoculars away, before turning to Persian as he looked rather intrigued. Sure, a lot of questions flowed in his mind, like who this girl was with these powers, and why she had them… but for now, it would have to be put on hold, for New Island couldn't wait…

And that's it for the prologue. Next time, we'll see Ash and Starfire getting to know each other as they arrive in Viridian City! Until next time.
