Here's our next chapter of this Pokemon journey, and where we'll meet the familiar faces of Jessie, James and Meowth! Let's see how Starfire handles these guys!
"...and so, from what I know about Pokemon training, you have to understand type advantages and what your Pokemon are strong against and what they're weak against. For example, Clefairy here... well, in Kanto, she used to be classified as a Normal Type, but the Kalos region recently discovered that she's actually a pure Fairy type. Good against Dark, Dragon and Fighting types, BUT very weak to Poison and Steel types." Ash said as he was sitting with Starfire, trying to explain how the world worked.
"You got that right, kiddo! I am what you call a Dragon Slayer!" Clefairy smirked with utmost confidence as she gave a pose... before giving a nervous chuckle. "Although put me up against the likes of poison, and I crumple like paper... it's a two-sided coin, Star."
"So... these advantages of types, when battling, they can help?" Starfire asked in curiosity. "What if Clefairy is fighting against something that's NOT those types that you mention."
"Well, they just take regular damage from other types... or at least, that's what they taught me back at the Pokemon camps." Ash said as he crossed his legs. "I don't know, I learned SOME things, I don't know ALL. I guess Fairy was what stuck to me the most, because I always remembered that fairies always did well against dragons, for whatever reason." Ash said. "You would think a fairy would be TROUNCED by a fire breathing dragon, but the Pokemon world is often strange like that."
"And you are hoping to... catch them all?" Starfire asked. "Just how many Pokemon are out there in the world?"
"I had an outdated book that said there was at least a hundred and fifty, but as I quickly learned, there are MORE than just that... in fact, I think there's at least over a THOUSAND Pokemon of different types out in the world!" Ash explained, before giving a sigh. "So... thinking about it, maybe catching them all is just a fever dream. Maybe just seeing the Pokemon and having it recorded on the Pokedex is more than enough."
"Well, personally, I think this whole thing is amazing, Ash." Starfire grinned as she looked pretty eager. "I can't wait for us to get started!"
"That's if we CAN even start..." Ash sighed as he looked back towards the Pokemon Center doors, giving a sigh. "I'm grateful that you saved Pikachu and I with Clefairy, but... I didn't think Pikachu was hurt that bad... just a bit exhausted, maybe..."
"Your Pikachu is a cute little fella... I hope it's all right..." Starfire said in concern.
Ash blinked before giving a sigh. "I'm still worried, you know..."
"Judging by what I've seen, that Pikachu looked to be a good fighter... a bit uncooperative at first, but I think in time, he'll understand your capabilities as a trainer!" Clefairy smiled as she crossed her arms. "So, don't give up hope just yet!"
Starfire paused slightly as she gave a warm smile. "What Clefairy says is true, Ash. Your Pikachu is tough and confident..."
Ash paused slightly as he gave a chuckle. "You know, it's amazing that you're the only one who can talk to Pokemon... it's as if you're understanding their language."
The red haired Tamaranean blinked twice before giving a slight frown. Ash noticed the frown before his eyes widened, giving a nervous chuckle. "Right, sorry... you're from another planet, my bad..."
She quickly softened up as she looked at the young boy as she gave a giggle. "Sometimes, you're a bit dense."
"Hey!" Ash glared at her as she giggled before locking eyes with each other. The minute they did, it was like time froze for them. They stared at each other for what seemed like a long time... but before anything else can be said, a slight dinging sound was heard.
The two humans (and Clefairy) immediately turned towards the doors as they opened up to show two figures walking out carrying a slightly healthier Pikachu in a box of some sort. The first figure was the shortest, and looked like a round pink furry creature carrying an egg in their pouch and wearing a nurse's hat. The second figure was a pink haired female human, wearing a pink dress with a white apron, pink gloves and white flat-top shoes.
"Pikachu!" Ash said with a relieved smile as Pikachu hopped off and started going towards Ash, a little more excited.
"Sorry I took so long. This little guy didn't want to go in its Poke Ball, so we had to heal the hard way." The nurse said as she gave a smile. "I managed to heal up the scratches it got, and it should have most of its power back. I recommend just take it easy and don't take your Pikachu to horde battles... at least, not until it's battle ready."
"Those Spearow may have caught me off-guard, but I am up and ready now!" Pikachu grinned as he looked up at Ash. "And Ash... thanks. Maybe you're not such a dope after all..."
It was then the nurse noticed Starfire standing nearby with her Clefairy. "Oh, another one! Sorry I took so long. I'm Nurse Joy, and I take care of hurt trainers' Pokemon here in the Pokemon Center... all free of charge, of course."
"I'm Starfire, I'm with Ash." Starfire bowed her head before looking towards the round pink Pokemon as she pulled out her Pokedex. "What are you adorable little creatures?"
The Pokedex then activated itself as a picture of Chansey was shown. "Chansey. The Egg Pokemon. It is said that they deliver happiness while sharing their eggs with hurt people."
Starfire looked over the strange information that followed after the picture. "Abilities... Natural Cure or Serene Grace. Recommended moves... Heal Pulse, Sing, Soft-Boiled and Echoed Voice. What do those mean?"
Ash looked over the Pokedex and raised an eyebrow. "Interesting. So, I guess our Pokedexes will let us know the type of abilities Chanseys come with, and what moves we can use. It can be useful to know what we're running against, but I can tell you more about abilities and moves later."
Starfire nodded before looking over towards Chansey. "Awww, so you give eggs to people?"
"Only when the patient is really hurt, dearie. Otherwise, if they're not hurt, then they don't to be healed." Chansey chuckled. "Thankfully, the Nurse Joy here is keeping me pretty busy!"
"Anyway, your Pikachu should be fine after a good night's sleep." Nurse Joy smiled. "You may as well stay the night here, I don't mind."
"We don't want to be a bother..." Ash started before Nurse Joy smiled as she looked down.
"Don't worry. It's the least I can do. And besides, it's late." Nurse Joy said.
Ash looked out the window to see the nighttime view of Viridian City outside, as did Starfire and Clefairy. They took a small look in awe as they noted the beautiful city lights.
The young man paused for a moment, before nodding. "All right, I guess you have a point. I think I'm a bit bushed my-"
But then, a strange sound began to wail out, causing everyone to freeze. Clefairy frowned as she put her fists up.
"Okay, what was that? I don't like the sound of that!" Clefairy said as she seemed ready and on her guard.
"What's going on?" Ash asked in confusion.
After a moment, a female voice was heard blaring through the speakers. "Your attention, please. Our Viridian City radar sensors have detected an aircraft belonging to a gang of Pokemon thieves. If you have a Pokemon in your possession, exercise extreme caution."
Starfire paused as she looked up. "Pokemon thieves?"
"Unfortunately, there were rumors that Viridian City has been running wild with thieves in the center. The officer in the blue hair, Officer Jenny, told me about it when she stopped me as she saw me carrying Pikachu. That's how I knew about it." Ash explained.
"It does sound deeply concerning... but I wouldn't worry too much." Joy said as Clefairy and Pikachu looked around warily. "We're in a safe territory, a healing hospital for Pokemon. Even thieves aren't THAT stupid to break into a Pokemon Center."
"How do you figure?" Starfire asked in curiosity. "Do you have the security measures?"
"...not exactly, but even if thieves DID come in, it's like Stealing 101. You don't attack a care center for Pokemon, even ones that let you care for Pokemon overnight." Nurse Joy said as she gave a smile. "It's just not-"
Before Joy could finish that sentence, the sound of glass crashing was heard as Clefairy looked up and gave a cocky grin. "Ooooo, guess who's wrong! Heh, bring it on, I've been itching for a battle against-"
Everyone watched as two small Poke Balls came falling from the ground, before opening up and releasing two creatures. One of them was a purple floating ball with a face and a skull and crossbones in the center. The second creature was a purple snake who gave a small hiss.
Whatever confidence Clefairy had, immediately crumpled up like tissue paper as she jumped into Starfire's arms. "AHHH! POISON TYPES! GET THEM AWAY FROM ME!"
"What th- who are they?!" Ash asked as he fished out his Pokedex to scan one, while Starfire scanned the other Pokemon with hers.
"Koffing. The Poison Gas Pokemon. Its body is held together by toxic gases and could explode at any moment." Ash's Pokedex said as the abilities "Levitate or Neutralyzing Gas" appeared under the picture, along with the starting move sets, "Clear Smog, Smokescreen, Sludge Bomb and Self-Destruct".
"Ekans. The Snake Pokemon. Its sneaks on unsuspecting people and or Pokemon without making a sound and strikes them from behind." Starfire's Pokedex said as the abilities "Intimidate or Shed Skin" appeared under the picture, along with the recommended move set the Pokemon had, "Wrap, Bite, Acid Spray and Gunk Shot".
"As I said... GET THEM AWAY FROM ME!" Clefairy shrieked as she hung onto Starfire's arms.
Pikachu noted Clefairy's worried expression before turning towards the two Pokemon. "Don't worry, I got-"
All of a sudden, the Koffing started to fill the room with a large smoke area, clouding up everyone's vision as Starfire frowned, trying to focus her eyes as they started to glow green. Ash and Nurse Joy hadn't noticed as they were coughing a bit, Nurse Joy saying, "This is ridiculous, who would be making trouble in a Pokemon Center?"
"Oh, sweet, sweet, nurse, you should have been prepared for trouble." A new female voice said.
"Because we're making it double." A male voice said as two figures appeared in the smoke.
The first bit of smoke appeared as everyone got a close look at the first figure's face... it was a tall red-haired, blue-eyed female with her hair styled to be pretty long, wearing a torn up white shirt with a red "R" in the center, showing a bit of a black crop top underneath. She also wore black gloves, a white skirt, long black boots and green earrings. "To prepare the world for devastation..."
The other bit of smoke uncovered the second figure, showing a smirking male figure, with short purple hair, green eyes and a white shirt with a red "R" with a black shirt underneath. He also wore black gloves, white pants, and black boots. He also seemed to be holding a red rose. "To unite all peoples within our nation..."
"To denounce the evils of truth and love..." The red-haired female smirked.
"To extend our reach to the stars above..." The purple-haired male announced.
"Jessie!" The red-haired female posed.
"James!" The purple-haired male did the same as the smoke started to lift up.
"Team Rocket, blasts off at the speed of light!" Jessie said with a confident grin and crossed arms.
"Surrender now, or prepare to fight!" James grinned.
"MEOWTH! That's right!" A white cat with a golden coin suddenly appeared in the center as he gave a smirk.
Ash and Pikachu stood firm as Nurse Joy looked up in fear. Clefairy was still shaking nervously about the Poison Types that got near their owners, the Koffing going towards James and the Ekans slithering towards Jessie respectively. Starfire, on the other hand, only focused on ONE particular member as her eyes widened.
"Awwww! Your little kitty is adorable!" Starfire smiled as she leaned towards the Meowth, causing the white furred cat to be thrown off by that remark.
Jessie and James were thrown off a bit as well as Starfire picked up Meowth and grinned. "And he's so incredibly handsome too."
"Really? Shucks, you're embarrassing me..." Meowth chuckled a bit.
"STAR!" Clefairy puffed up in anger and slapped the red-haired girl upside the head. "In case you forget, we're sort of being robbed here!"
"Sorry..." Starfire chuckled. "But he is SOOOO cute!"
Ash, during this time, quickly pulled out his Pokedex and scanned the cat being held by Starfire.
"Meowth. The Scratch Cat Pokemon. It loves collecting things that sparkle, and the goin coin on its head shines when it sees something particularly shiny." Ash's Pokedex said as the abilities "Pickup or Technician" appeared under the picture, alongside four random moves, "Bite, Scratch, Fury Swipes and Nasty Plot" appeared.
"Okay, put me down this very..." Meowth started to protest before Starfire started scratching behind Meowth's ears, causing the white furred cat to pause as he gave a content sigh. "Ohhh, this is nice actually... yeah, yeah, keep doing that, it feels so..." Meowth started to cuddle close and purr as Starfire began to pet Meowth contently.
Jessie and James looked at each other in disbelief before turning towards the strange red-haired girl with green eyes... which they already found peculiar. Still, this would not deter them from their mission.
"MEOWTH! SNAP OUT OF IT!" Jessie and James shouted in disbelief, causing Starfire, Clefairy and Meowth to stumble backwards.
Meowth yelped as he chuckled nervously, before going back to the right side. "Sorry, sorry! Your little tricks won't get the best of me, little girl!"
"Why are you here?" Ash asked, still looking surprised as Starfire quickly got up and rubbed her back.
"...seriously? You're asking US why we're here." Jessie lowered her eyelids in disbelief.
"Obviously, we're here to steal your Pokemon." James rolled his eyes.
Pikachu stood firm as Clefairy climbed up Starfire's shoulder and stood there as Ash narrowed his eyes. "I won't let you steal Pikachu!"
Again, Jessie and James blinked twice as Jessie said, "Pikachu? We're not interested in your precious yellow rat!"
"Seriously, you can find those things around Viridian Forest, they're not THAT rare. Just a hard Pokemon to spot amongst all the bug types that live there." James pointed out, before looking over towards the Clefairy on her shoulder. "The Clefairy, on the other hand... hmmm, not often do we see one outside of caves."
"You have a good point, James." Jessie said. "We'll make sure to put THAT on our list."
Starfire narrowed her eyes. "Touch my friend and face the consequences..."
Jessie and James just stared at the red-haired girl and laughed. "How cute. Just because you have unusually green eyes, you think you can threaten us. Besides, we only seek rare and valuable Pokemon!"
"Well... you're wasting your time! This is a Pokemon Center, we only take care of hurt Pokemon here!" Nurse Joy pointed out.
"Pokemon that are kept in Poke Balls, no doubt, that trainers leave overnight?!" James pointed out. "Yes, we're actually here to steal those! Besides, we might be able to find a few Pokemon gems amongst all the common mons."
"Well, even so, you're not going to be stealing these hurt and injured Pokemon!" Ash narrowed his eyes in anger.
"We will not let you pass!" Starfire growled in anger.
Jessie and James smirked as the former noted, "Awwwww, how adorable."
"You two think you have a say in any of this?" James laughed. "In case you haven't noticed, WE'RE the only ones with the healthier Pokemon."
"Meowth!" Meowth smirked as he stood his ground. "Why don't we give these people what for, right? Attack, get the girl's Clefairy and raid the Center!"
Starfire narrowed her eyes as Pikachu's cheeks started to spark.
"Not here!" Nurse Joy shouted, causing the others to jump. "Our Pokemon Center can't take battles!"
"Who asked?" Jessie smirked.
"Koffing, Smokescreen!" James ordered as the floating purple gas Pokemon unleashed its gases around the area.
"Ekans, pounce on that Clefairy!" Jessie ordered.
Ekans hissed as it started to jump up right at the girl. However, knowing the dangers, Ash grabbed Pikachu as they, along with Nurse Joy, Starfire and Clefairy started to head right into the nursing home.
"After them! They won't get away!" Jessie shouted as Team Rocket started to chase them down.
The group kept running forward as they walked through a large hallway, with Ash saying, "What exactly is Team Rocket, anyway?"
"I think I might have heard the name somewhere before, but from where, I can't possibly remember!" Nurse Joy said. "All I know is that if this 'Team Rocket' made its reputation by kidnapping other trainers's Pokemon and selling them for profit... they must be very desperate!"
"I, myself, question the white uniforms they are wearing..." Starfire pointed out. "Maybe it is just me, but I do not believe white is a good color if you're attempting to sneak in..."
"We can talk outfits later, Star! We've got to stay focused!" Ash said as they stopped at the end of the hallway as they noticed two paths. "Uh-oh. Which way do we go!"
"Left takes us to where we heal up the Pokemon, but if we all go right, chances are, we'll be followed." Nurse Joy said.
"So, what do we do?" Starfire asked in concern. "Clefairy's too nervous around Poison Types, and Pikachu, you may look better, but I don't know if you're up to FULL strength yet."
"I think I'm confident in my chances." Pikachu said, before groaning. "Although you're right. We need to find a way out of this..."
"Oh, twoips! You can't run forever!" Meowth's voice was heard yelling from the hallways.
Ash quickly scooped up Pikachu in his arms once more as he suggested, "We better split up, then. Starfire, take Clefairy and Pikachu and go to the right! I'll take the left path with Nurse Joy!"
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Nurse Joy asked as she raised an eyebrow. "You should probably at least take your Pikachu for defense?"
"Maybe, but... at least we can't BOTH be followed if we're split up!" Ash said as he took Nurse Joy's hand. "Besides, these Pokemon are in danger, and they need to be evacuated as soon as possible. Is there a way to do that?"
"...I suppose I could transport all the Poke Balls with Pokemon in Pewter City at its Pokemon Center, but it's a risky move!" Nurse Joy shouted as she felt the comforting touch of Ash's hand.
"Then that's a risk we'll have to take! Star, are you going to be okay with Clefairy and Pikachu?" Ash asked as Pikachu went on Starfire's shoulders.
"You can count on me. Come on, you two!" Starfire said as she started to run off, carrying Pikachu and Clefairy with her... though Ash could have sworn that he saw Starfire floating in the air for just a second as she ran.
Ash then turned to Nurse Joy as he said, "All right, lead me to the other Pokemon!"
Nurse Joy looked over at the young man in surprise, noting the different personality he had gained when just a few seconds ago, he was as nervous and concerned for his hurt Pikachu. She quickly concluded that he was either very dumb... or a very brave man. She smiled towards the young man before motioning him to follow as she took the lead. At that time, Team Rocket had arrived and noted Ash and Nurse Joy running to the left.
"So, think they can pull the ol' 'split up' plan, huh?" Jessie smirked. "Ekans, Meowth, go to the right and chase after that girl and those two Pokemon. Most importantly, GET THAT CLEFAIRY!"
"Got it! Come on, slithery, let's go!" Meowth said as the cat started to bound off towards the right, with Jessie, James and Koffing going to the left to follow Ash and Nurse Joy.
On the left, Ash and Nurse Joy had shut the doors to the room where all the Poke Balls are kept as Ash put a metal bar on the door handles. "I don't know how long it'll hold, but it'll be a temporary situation until we have things under control."
Nurse Joy nodded before turning to Ash. "All right. I'm going to communicate to the nurse and Pewter City and let her know all the Pokemon are coming her way. There's another communicator phone for Officer Jenny. Can you call her?"
"I'll see what I can do!" Ash said as he and Nurse Joy each ran over to the computers as they started to dial numbers, with Ash dialing the number to call Jenny (thankfully, her number was next to the computer) as the phone rang.
The screen turned on as the face of a blue-haired female officer in a blue police cap answered. "Hello, this is the Police Station."
"Hello? I'm calling from the Pokemon Center in Viridian City." Ash said as the woman looked closer at him, before smiling.
"Oh! You're the boy with the hurt Pikachu, right? How is he?" The girl asked.
"Oh, it's you I'm calling?" Ash smiled. "Jenny, right? Well, Pikachu is doing fine, but that's not important right now. Those Pokemon thieves you said were in the area? Well, they broke in, calling themselves "Team Rocket", and they're trying to destroy the Center to steal the Pokemon!"
"Team Rocket?" Jenny's eyes widened as if she heard that name. "Kid, you realize that these aren't just petty Pokemon thieves, right? Team Rocket... I didn't think the leader would stoop so low as to ask their grunts to attack Pokemon Centers..."
"Leader?" Ash asked in curiosity.
Jenny groaned. "Kid, Team Rocket isn't just some loser group that like to steal Pokemon for fun. They're an evil organization that steals Pokemon for profit! And they also KILL people who own said Pokemon! They're like... a mafia group! If the thieves are part of Team Rocket, then this is a serious matter! You stay there with Nurse Joy and get those Pokemon evacuated as soon as possible! I'll see if I can get over there quickly!"
"I understand." Ash nodded before hanging up as Nurse Joy finished up her call. "Jenny's on her way."
"And I just told the nurse the situation. Try to help me gather as many Poke Balls as possible and start sending them over. The Pewter City nurse has the Poke Ball transport on standby." Nurse Joy said as she started to run over to the Poke Balls.
"Of course!" Ash nodded as he joined her in picking up at least two Poke Balls. As they did so, the power suddenly went out. "Oh no! Team Rocket cut the power!"
"Don't worry, we always have our own Pika power source!" Nurse Joy said as the lights quickly came back on again. Nurse Joy smiled as she looked in the other room. "Look for yourself."
Ash did so and noticed a handful of Pikachu running on a wheel and charging up the Center as they seemed to be happy doing so. The young man gave a sharp whistle. "What technology can't do these days..."
Meanwhile, Starfire, Clefairy and Pikachu were wandering around the area as Clefairy looked around in worry, Starfire was floating in the air, and Pikachu... was staring at Starfire with a wide eyed look on his face.
"Sooooo... how long has the whole 'you flying' become a thing?" Pikachu asked in confusion.
Starfire turned to Pikachu in confusion. "Do humans in this world not fly?"
"Girl, unless humans are using airplanes or Pokemon that fly, humans don't have wings..." Clefairy sighed.
"Oh, sorry! I guess it's just a Tamaranean ability, then." Starfire gasped as she looked towards an open door. "In here!"
Starfire and the two Pokemon quickly entered as they closed the door, Starfire landing on her feet and leaning in as she and Pikachu looked out. "Okay, well, we should be safe in here for a while, but just in case, Pikachu, be ready to zap them if they come close."
"Right!" Pikachu nodded as his cheeks started to glow up once more.
Clefairy took a few deep breaths as she jumped down and started to sit down... right underneath a vent that was conveniently open... where Meowth and Ekans had just entered from as they looked down.
Meowth smirked as he turned towards Ekans, as the snake gave a nod. "They ain't watchin'. Grab the Clefairy and let's go!"
Ekans gave a sharp grin as he slithered down right at Clefairy's face as the Pokemon looked up, gasped and gave a small whimper.
"Sssssssay now... what have we here?" Ekans chuckled as he circled around Clefairy. "It'sssss a Fairy type Pokemon... a cute, rare Fairy type to take to misssstress Jessssssie and her bosssssss..."
"Get away from me! I don't want to be near a Poison Type like you!" Clefairy whimpered.
"Oh, husssssh now, darling. Sssssurely you jussssst need to be at... eassssssse..." Ekans said as he wrapped its coils around Clefairy and stared into her eyes, the snake's eyes starting to give off a very... hypnotic state to them. Clefairy couldn't look away as she got entranced in those... hypnotic eyes. She tried to utter a cry for help, but all she could do is a weak, "Help..."
Starfire and Pikachu had not noticed any of this as Starfire took a deep breath. "Don't worry, Clefairy, we'll make sure you stay safe..."
Meowth gave a chuckle as he said out loud, "Oh, I don't think your little pink friend is safe with us."
Starfire looked back, nonchalantly as she said, "But of course she will... she..."
The red haired alien gasped as she gave a scream, causing Pikachu to turn as he narrowed his eyes.
"THUNDERSHOCK!" Pikachu shouted as a bolt of electricity hit Ekans's head, causing the snake to give a gasp as it let go of Clefairy and snapped her out of its trance.
"Ohhhh... my achin' head..." Ekans groaned before turning towards Pikachu with an angry look on his face. "You have just made a sssssserious misssssstake, my friend!"
"No, I'm pretty sure I did the right thing..." Pikachu growled in anger as Ekans snapped his jaws and tried to hop towards Pikachu to try to bite the yellow mouse, but Pikachu only rolled out of the way.
"Ekans, come on! It's just a Pikachu! How hard is it to nab one in your jaws!" Meowth growled in anger as he sharpened his claws before looking down towards Clefairy. "Fine. Nothin' stoppin' me from nabbin'-
All of a sudden, a green ball of energy came bolting in and slamming on Meowth's face, sending him flying to the other end of the vent, making a loud clanging sound. "OW!"
Meowth then got up dazed and confused. "What the heck just happened?"
From the other end of the room, Starfire panted a bit as the green energy in her hands dissipated as she ran over towards Clefairy. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, I think so..." Clefairy groaned as she rubbed her head. "Ugh, I hate those slimy Poison types..."
It was at that moment, both of them heard a scream as both heads turned towards the battle between Ekans and Pikachu as Ekans now had Pikachu in its grasp as the mouse was trying to look away from his eyes.
"What'sssss the matter, sssssweet little mousssse? Don't you trusssssst in me?" Ekans slithered with his tongue before using its hypnotic stare to stare down at the electric mouse Pokemon. Pikachu tried to pry its eyes away, but managed to get hypnotized nevertheless. "You have jusssst ssssealed your doom..."
"PIKACHU!" Clefairy shouted in horror.
Starfire's eyes began to glow green once more before summoning jumping up in the air and flying towards Pikachu and Ekans as Starfire punched Ekans directly in the face. Ekans quickly let go of Pikachu as he turned towards the floating girl with a shocked look on its face. Before he could respond, however, Starfire quickly downed the snake with a few Starbolts, throwing energy at the snake as it got knocked out quickly, before it could register what it just saw.
"Are you okay?" Starfire asked as the recovered Pikachu rubbed his head.
"Ugh, I think so..." Pikachu groaned, before looking up at Starfire. "Did I just see you throwing green energy balls? Is that a Tamaranean thing as well?"
Starfire paused before chuckling nervously. "Uh... don't tell Ash yet. I want to save that for when the time is right..."
"Sister, you already know I'm good!" Clefairy chuckled as she turned to Pikachu. "Of course, same goes to you..."
"R-right..." Pikachu nodded, though still looking a little uneasy.
"Well, let's go! The other members of those Team Rocket goons are still after Ash! He could use our help!" Starfire said as she collected Clefairy and Pikachu in her arms as she started to fly away.
Little did she realize was that Meowth had seen the whole thing, looking rather surprised as he was starting to notice something peculiar.
"A girl that can fly? A girl that can fire bolts of energy? And can talk to Pokemon as if it was normal? And what's with this whole Tamara-knee-on thing they were referring to?" Meowth frowned... before looking up and noting a security camera nearby. His eyes lit up as he climbed the walls. "I gotta show Jessie and James THIS!"
