A/N: Now, this is where things play out a bit like before, but this time, with a special guest star appearance (technically three, considering it's a trio appearing).
Looney Tunes: Back in Action
Chapter 2: Schmucks Amuk
Speaking of DJ, he was acting as a police stunt double, showing his badge as he burst out the door.
"FREEZE!"
He tried to perform his stunt, but ended up falling on the table in pain. He got up and laughed, but he ended up falling again, this time after walking on the forward part of the table, inadvertently tossing salad toward the prisoner in the process, infuriating him. He then sat up, looking toward both the prisoner and the director.
"Can I try that again?", DJ asked.
"No. Thank you. We'll call you.", the director replied as the inmate removed the salad from his face and shoulders, even eating a lettuce.
DJ went out of the studio and put on his security guard uniform. He stopped near the head guard.
"Sir.", DJ greeted.
"Hey, DJ. How did your tryout go?", the head guard asked.
"Well, let's see, uh…, I can say I made, uh… an impression.", DJ replied.
"You know, your father can get you a job anytime he wants to.", the Head Guard assured.
"Yeah, I know, but I don't want that. I'd really rather earn it, sir.", DJ responded.
"Yeah… Mr. Warner mentioned you this morning.", the Head Guard stated.
"He did? What did he say?", DJ asked.
"He said don't forget the TurtleWax.", the Head Guard said, showing him said TurtleWax.
Later, DJ used the TurtleWax to wax a red car, while Kate was dragging Daffy Duck off the company studio despite his protests, especially as Tom, Jerry, and Robyn were following them.
"What about animation? I could do cartoons.", Daffy pleaded as Bugs was also seen following from behind.
"Dead duck walking.", Bugs spoke.
"Morning, Mr. Bunny.", DJ greeted.
"Morning, DJ.", Tom, Jerry, and Robyn greeted.
"Very hot now. And I do voices. Listen.", Daffy said.
"Excuse me.", Kate spoke.
"'F-F-Fetch the stick, boy.' 'What a maroon.' 'You can't handle the truth.' Some grip, lady.", Daffy commented, trying, and failing, to reach for a handrail.
"I need you to eject this duck.", Kate instructed.
"Lady, this is Daffy Duck.", DJ puzzled.
"Exactly.", Daffy agreed.
"Not anymore. We own the name.", Kate responded.
"Oh, yeah? Well, you can't stop me from calling myself...", Daffy began.
But he suddenly found himself struggling to even spit it out.
"What do you know?"
"You fired Daffy Duck?", DJ asked.
"Actually, the Warner Brothers did.", Tom explained.
"All because Daffy had to go and make a losing bet over whether they should pick him or Bugs.", Robyn added.
"Yeah, and you know what they said?", Jerry asked.
"'Whichever one's not the duck'?", DJ asked.
"Exactly!", Jerry replied.
"So, in other words…", DJ began. "You were just following orders."
As the conversation continued, Bugs Bunny tapped Daffy, pulled his hand out, and inserted one of his own on Kate's grasp, allowing him to escape, much to Tom, Jerry, and Robyn's surprise, though Tom stopped Daffy for a brief moment.
"We're only givin' ya a head start, then we're comin' for ya. That sound clear to you?", Tom whispered.
"Crystal.", Daffy responded just as whisperingly.
"You know what? You don't know me.", Kate retorted as Tom released Daffy, who escaped.
"You're Kate Houghton, you're the VP of Comedy. Go figure. You drive a red 1988 Alfa Romeo. Good engine. Little under-driven. I know this because you nearly ran me over last week.", DJ retorted. "Anyway, um, about that duck, you want me to get rid of him still?"
Kate was puzzled for a moment before DJ made his hands like little duck wings and quacked.
"Duck, yes. You… yeah, eject the duck, please.", Kate requested.
"I can't do that.", DJ said.
"Why not?", Kate asked.
"He's gone.", DJ replied.
To be certain, Kate looked to Bugs, who pretended nothing happened as did DJ, Tom, Jerry, and Robyn.
"Oh, look! There he goes!", Tom shouted as if acting while pointing toward the fleeing black duck, who was whooping while moving helter-skelter across the lot.
"Well, what are you waiting for, backup?", Kate urged.
DJ laughed at the joke Kate made, inadvertent as it was, and went off to find Daffy just as Robyn turned to Tom and Jerry.
"Just try to make sure DJ doesn't get into trouble.", Robyn whispered.
Tom then turned to Jerry.
"Well? Should we make sure DJ stays out of trouble?", Jerry asked.
"Daffy!", DJ called.
To start off, a little girl spotted Daffy on a small tour bus.
"Look, Mommy, there's Daffy!", the little girl called.
As though it were on cue, Daffy Duck appeared just right next to DJ.
"Shabby job so far, constable."
He elbowed DJ, and then tickled his head by moving his finger across DJ's chin quickly up and down.
"Quick! After me!", the black duck shouted before speeding away.
"Folks, if you look to your left you'll see Daffy Duck being forcibly removed from the lot again.", a tour guide stated.
"Oh, now you're gonna pay for that one. Come here!", DJ shouted, chasing Daffy throughout the studio.
"Oh, yeah. We've seen and done enough cartoon shorts to know what he's in for.", Tom agreed.
With that, the cat gave chase toward DJ with the mouse in tow.
"Be careful!", Robyn called.
With that, the cat and mouse duo took off after DJ, who went after Daffy.
"Woo-hoo! Dress Inspector!", Daffy called.
Immediately, he ducked and zoomed past a lady's dress, now wearing the lady's underwear and removing it as he escaped while toying with DJ.
"No! Sorry, sir, look out.", DJ shouted, stepping around the two Victorian-like actors.
"One side, Spartacuses.", Daffy said, now going through the Spartacuses.
"Get away from that!", DJ shouted as he went in front of them with Daffy then shaking his rump behind a golf cart and then entering an ancient Roman vase as the smoke cloud he left behind continued shaking his rump behind the cart until it faded, at which point, he eventually got out.
"Come on, come on!"
"Daffy, stop!", DJ shouted as Daffy zig-zagged through other people and just as many carts.
"I gotta tell ya, Jer. He's absolutely ring-dingy.", Tom commented.
"Yeah, don't forget Looney Tooney.", Jerry added.
"And Oofty MacGoofty.", Tom and Jerry said in unison as they peeped from a column of the awning.
"Cut him off at the pass, boys. Woo-hoo! All units in pursuit of little black duck.", Daffy playfully spoke as he ran past a few people and even a prop car.
Daffy gave his usual wacky noises as he ran into a scenario. Before DJ could follow him, Tom stopped him.
"Whoa! Hold it. Hold it!", Tom said.
"Tom? Jerry? What are you…?", DJ began.
"Wait for it…", Jerry interrupted.
As soon as Daffy ran back Tom grabbed the black duck by the neck.l and pulled him close to his face.
"Gotcha!", Tom smirked.
"Well, that's just cheating.", Daffy commented before poking the cat's two eyes with his two fingers.
"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH!"
"Woo-hoo!", Daffy exclaimed before taking off from the scenery.
"Daffy!", DJ shouted.
"Tom! Are you all right?", Jerry asked.
Tom rubbed his eyes for a moment until he can see again.
"D'oh, why, you little…!", Tom began toward Daffy before he, too, went after him.
As he ran, Tom didn't notice that Jerry was struggling to hang on as a man was creating an autumn environment when Daffy zipped by.
"Come here!", DJ shouted.
"Autumn in fake New York~!", Daffy sang as he entered a house and DJ chased him.
"Woo-hoo, woo-hoo-hoo!"
Only Tom realized what was happening and stopped, finally giving Jerry some relief as he looked messy from Tom's energetic chase just now.
"Hey, wait a minute. He's trying to sucker us into chasing him all the way up here. To think I almost fell for that.", Tom realized before turning to Jerry.
"Sorry, little pal.", Tom apologized as Jerry recovered.
"Don't worry about me. What about DJ?", Jerry asked as DJ went after Daffy, who went upstairs and got to the door.
"Oh, no! You're right! We've gotta do somethin'!", Tom agreed.
Just then, he noticed someone rolling a big cannon nearby.
"That's it! Hey, you! Is that cannon functional?", Tom asked as he went toward the man carting up the cannon.
"Huh? Well, dress me up and call me Sally! You're Tom and Jerry.", the man spoke in surprise.
"Of course, we are. Can the cannon be used?", Jerry asked.
"Well, you better believe it! And this one's a real doozy, too.", the man replied.
"Aw, that's good…! Listen, we need to test your cannon. It's urgent!", Tom urged.
Meanwhile, Daffy goaded DJ.
"Don't follow me!", Daffy teased before zipping away.
Then, just as DJ followed Daffy and ended up falling off a prop building, screaming, Tom, who was already inside a cannon with Jerry near the string as he held the candle, shouted urgently.
"Now!"
"Fire in the hole!", Jerry shouted as he lit the match and then lit up the string.
Once he got off, Tom was shot out of the cannon! And just in time, too. DJ was about to land onto an airbag.
"That's not right. Cut. Cut!", a director shouted.
Before DJ could land on the airbag, Tom streaked past and caught him before landing on the ground and rolling on it until he stopped. When he did, he sighed a breath of relief.
"Hey! Nice shot, Jer! That was a close one.", Tom sighed after shouting to Jerry.
"Tom?!", DJ shouted before Daffy, disguised as a cinematographer with a megaphone, shouted in said megaphone.
"That's lunch, everybody!", Daffy shouted before the megaphone suffered feedback, making Daffy wince himself.
Tom helped DJ up and the latter looked toward Batman.
"Are you okay?"
"I'm okay.", DJ replied before turning to Batman.
"Hey, Batman, you good? All right.", DJ called as Batman looked perplexed at him.
"Well, I'm, uh… uh, a big fan.", DJ explained.
"Oh, brother.", Jerry commented.
"What are you two doing here? And are you okay?", DJ asked.
"Are you kiddin'? We were makin' sure you don't get mixed up in any of Daffy's looney behavior.", Tom assured as he went to the cannon and picked Jerry up.
"Yeah, we both know how it goes. Oh, and, uh, thanks for letting us use this cannon, sir!", Jerry thanked to the prop manager.
"You've done us a great service.", Tom agreed before they started off toward Daffy. "Now, for that looney duck."
As they went for Daffy, though, the man gave a sort of fond look.
"Maybe this job is nice, after all.", the man said.
However, the trio eventually noticed Daffy running to the Batmobile.
"My chariot awaits!", Daffy shouted.
"Oh, no.", Tom and Jerry said in realization.
"Yes!", Daffy shouted as he jumped into the Batmobile before looking around at the controls.
"Bat-lights. Bat-conditioning. Bat-stereo.", Daffy said as he turned on the Batmobile, as well as the Bat-conditioner and stereo as the music played. "To the Duck Cave."
"Not the Batmobile!", Tom and Jerry shouted, prompting DJ to notice Daffy about to make off in the Batmobile.
"Now what are you doing?", the director asked before the trio took off.
"Hey! Stay away from that Batmobile!", the director shouted.
"Try telling that to that looney black duck!", Tom shouted in reply.
"Come here!", DJ shouted as he pulled Daffy out of the Batmobile before he could duck underneath for cover.
"I'm allowed to steal, I'm a celebrity!"
"Tell it to the judge!", DJ retorted to the duck.
"I gotta admit: you got me real good. But I know every trick you used from every one of your shorts like the back of my paw.", Tom smirked.
Suddenly, since Daffy turned on the Batmobile and was no longer driving it, it started to drive itself as Jerry noticed.
"Uh…, more like almost all."
"Feeling pretty good about yourself?", Daffy asked to DJ as Tom turned and saw what Jerry saw: the Batmobile zooming away, becoming worried.
"I am.", DJ said.
"No…! He wouldn't.", Tom said with a gasp before the Batmobile started going in higher speed.
It wasn't long before other people saw that the Batmobile was headed towards a column of the water tower.
"You bested that dastardly duck?", Daffy asked.
"I did.", DJ replied.
"He would.", Jerry said to Tom.
The Batmobile kept driving at that column and people were now starting to run away one by one.
"And now you're gonna offer your catch to the pretty executive?", Daffy asked.
"Indeed.", DJ replied.
"He didn't!", Tom exclaimed before, as if to prove him wrong, the Batmobile destroyed a column of the Warner Bros. watertower.
"He did…", Jerry winced.
Meanwhile, in the water tower, Yakko, Wakko, and Dot were startled awake.
"Is that an Earthquake?", Dot asked.
"That's odd. The earthquake song isn't due until our next shooting.", Yakko pondered.
"That IS odd.", Wakko agreed.
It was right then that Kate, Bugs, and Robyn arrived.
"Miss Houghton!", DJ called before he smilingly showed that he captured Daffy.
But Tom and Jerry went over to Robyn.
"Great job keeping him out of trouble, guys.", Robyn grinned.
"Uh, we might wanna hold off on the congratulations just yet…", Jerry said worriedly.
"What's the matter?", Robyn asked.
"The good news is, we learned from most of Daffy's tactics and used those lessons to stop him. But the bad news is, we didn't account for the one tactic he has up his sleeve…", Tom began just before Robyn, Kate and Bugs became surprised to notice the watertower falling.
Daffy looked back and alongside a smiling look, he also gave a thumbs up.
"Well…, that would also be the bad news.", Tom added.
"Get out of the way!", one of the workers shouted, doing his level best to evacuate everyone from the premises.
Inside the water tower, the Animaniacs were becoming understandably worried.
"Guys? I don't wanna alarm you, but I think we're sinking!", Dot shouted.
"Well, in that case…", Yakko began before he opened the door. "ABANDON SHIP!"
Then the three Animaniacs burst out of the water tower. And just in time, too, because structures of the watertower were disassembling themselves and it started to fall down while Bugs prepared a small umbrella.
"Oh, this is gonna get cold…!", Robyn squeaked, closing her eyes.
"Look out!", one of the workers shouted.
Finally, the watertower finally fell down, causing a huge splash of water that filled Kate's car like a rainstorm, let alone a low-level hurricane. Once it stopped, both Kate and Robyn spat water from their mouths while both cat and mouse alike are completely drenched.
"Robyn! Are you okay?", Tom asked.
"Yeah… but I feel like I've just been through a rainstorm…!", Robyn reacted.
"Yeah. Tell me about it.", Tom agreed, shaking the water off his fur.
As for Bugs Bunny, he was now on a boat and fished an orange fish.
"Hey, what do you know? I found Nemo.", Bugs said.
"Well, nice to see you enjoying yourself.", Jerry said.
"Yeah, but what was that tactic you were talking about?", Robyn asked whisperingly just before DJ emerged from the mess, with Daffy still in his clutches.
Kate glared at DJ as Tom noticed and gasped as the Animaniacs popped up.
"Well, there goes our mobile home.", Dot groaned.
Yakko glared towards DJ and Daffy, too.
"All right, fellas. Who's the wise guy that drove right into our home?"
Daffy and DJ then pointed towards each other.
"He did it!", the two shouted while pointing at each other.
"Of course. How could we forget…? Classic Scapegoat Defense Mechanism...", Tom said, sounding less than amused.
Moments later, the gate was now shut in front of DJ, now outside the studio and without his uniform.
"But I was... it was...", DJ began.
But after a moment, DJ turned and started to leave. Suddenly, he heard a kicking sound from nearby. Then, he turned around to find Daffy Duck screaming and flying clean out of the studio and right onto DJ's face!
"Excuse me. Uh…, let me get off your… face, there.", Daffy spoke sheepishly.
"Yes. Thank you. That would be lovely.", DJ said as he peeled Daffy off him and dropped the duck, sighing in discontent.
It was bad enough that he got fired, but now, he had to deal with Daffy, too, even outside the studio? That was more than he could stomach.
"Eh, they'll cool off in a couple of hours. So, let's do lunch. I'm banned at the following restaurants: Spago's, Musso's, Der Wienerschnitzel's…", Daffy began.
But DJ wasn't interested.
"Just go away.", DJ interrupted as he was already on a bike and got his backpack on.
"Hey, hey, what gives here? We share.", Daffy said.
"And it was a delight.", DJ responded sarcastically.
He put his bike helmet on and then started to drive away on his motorcycle away.
"Then, fine. Sayonara, superstar! Pasta la vista!", Daffy said as DJ took off.
Then, the head guard opened the gate and peeped out.
"Duck!", the head guard shouted.
Hearing this, Daffy gasped out of hope.
"Oh, yes! Obviously, they've seen the errors of their ways and want me back. Coming, chaps!", Daffy shouted as he ran back to the gate.
But as he spoke and got closer, it turns out that the head guard was dropping off Daffy's suitcase.
"Yes, no apologies necessary. Fear not, because your star will not leave you with a…!"
But then, the gate closed, leaving only the suitcase.
"Yeeegh…", Daffy commented.
So, he tried to pick up his suitcase and pick it up. But as he carried it once he barely got the hang of it, the suitcase broke off from the handle. Daffy sighed and sadly left the studio, eventually dropping the suitcase's handle onto the street, not knowing that Tom, Jerry, and Robyn, were sadly watching above the walls.
"Poor duck…", Tom said sadly.
