Chapter 6: Those That Seek Redemption
"It's good to see that your finally awake" Patoli said to Blake and who looked at him for a bit and then she looked at Neo who looked at Blake back, and it was at that moment the two of them glared at each other. For Blake she growled at Neo because she was the one who struck Yang and sent her flying and falling through the void. Blake then reached behind her back hoping to get her weapon Gambol Shroud before realizing she doesn't have her weapon.
"If you're looking for you weapon...yeah we hid them" Rhya said causing Blake to look at him.
"What" Blake said.
"Our apologies but we didn't want to risk the chance that you might be an enemy and attack us" Patoli said.
"But our colorful friend here still managed to attack us boy was she a fiery one until you put her in her place Patoli" Rhya said as he looked at Neo who only glared at him.
As much Blake wanted to attack Neo for what she did to Yang she needed some answers first like where she was and who these people were.
"Who are you people, you don't seem to be human but I can tell you're not faunus either, and where exactly am I?" Blake asked.
"Faunus?, ah I see so you must be a faunus then I take it they are one of the natives to your world" Patoli said.
"Native to my world...just what do you mean by that" Blake said confused by what Patoli just said,not just her but Neo as well.
"Lets start by introducing ourselves my name is Patoli and this here is Rhya" Patoli said as he pointed to Rhya.
"A pleasure to meet your acquittance kitty cat" Rhya said.
"The woman over there is Fana and last but not least the tall one over there is Vetto" Patoli said as he introduced Fana and Vetto to Neo and Blake.
"Hi it's nice to meet you" Fana said
"Same here" Vetto said as he simply nodded.
"Now to answer some of your questions no we are not faunus we are actually elves the last remaining elves actually in our world" Patoli said.
"Elves..." Blake said she never heard of a race like that before on remnant if so she and most likely everybody else would have seen or heard of a race like that. Unless they were a part of the first race of humanity that was on remnant where during that time everybody could use magic. But Blake didn't see any elves when Jinn showed her and the others a vision of Ozpin's history of Salem.
"You didn't answer my question from earlier about my race being native to my world" Blake said.
"That's simply because your not in your world anymore, in fact Dryad the guardian here predicted that you two would come here and that you came here from another world entirely" Patoli said shocking Neo and Blake.
"What" Blake said,this couldn't be true right she should be still on remnant but she knew deep down that Patoli was telling the truth. When she fell through the void she ended up here in another world, then that means if she and Neo are alive then that means Yang and Ruby are out there somewhere. For Neo she didn't know what to do, at first she wanted to get out of here and kill Ruby and give that bitch Cinder a piece of her mind. But she can't do either of those things because she has no clue where Ruby was in this world and not to mention she doesn't even know how to get back home in the first place, she really doesn't know what to do in this scenario.
"I know it's hard to believe and take in right now, but I promise we will do everything we can to help the both of you, but first can you tell me what happened and how did you ended up in our world in the first place?" Patoli said.
"You're going to have to do the talking kitty cat, since our little attacker here can't speak" Rhya said.
Blake rolled her eyes a bit at Rhya's nick name for her "I do have a name you know, it's Blake" Blake said.
"Sorry about Rhya, Blake he sometimes like to tease and give nick names to some people" Fana said as she smiled sheepishly at Blake, she then turned to Neo and gave her a small smile.
"I know we got on the wrong foot, but we are not your enemies we all know what happens when a misunderstanding happens so we want to know what happened that caused you to end up in our world in the first place" Fana said talking about what happen when the devil was the true mastermind behind the elves massacre and framed Lumiere the first wizard as the one who orchestrated the attack on the elves.
Neo looked at Fana and after a moment she sighed a bit she didn't trust the elves fully but in reality she has no other options right now, she needs to figure out what's going on first and gather as much information as possible before she can plan her next move, so for right now she will have to go play nice with the elves for now. But...even then would she even want to make an enemy out of them, Neo can sense how strong the other three are but their leader he is insanely strong he managed to catch Neo in an instant with his moves. Neo knew that wasn't a semblance it was almost like with Cinder when she was using her maiden powers.
Knowing that Neo had no choice but to try to work together with the elves since they were her only lead at the moment she sighed and nodded at the elves as if saying "alright I'll hear you guys out and listen".
Fana and Patoli smiled and then Patoli looked at Blake "now then I guess it's about time you told us about your situation" the light magic user said to Blake.
Blake nodded she can tell the elves were good people and did actually want to help her and Neo out, so any doubts about them were gone she could trust them. It's not like she has any choice she is not even on remnant anymore, she in another world and Ruby and Yang are in this world as well but she doesn't even know where to search and how to find them not to mention Cinder took the relic of knowledge. So right now she has both relics right now, she just hopes that Jaune and Weiss were able to bring all of the people of Atlas to Vacuo and somehow managed to get the relics back from Cinder. Because if Salem has gotten two of the relics then Remnant her home is that much closer in being destroyed.
But first things first in order for the elves to help them Blake needs to tell them everything she then sighed.
"Ok then I guess I should start with who I am" Blake said.
Blake told them everything, she told them about her parents and how her father founded the white fang as a for faunus to have the same equal rights as humans, to her fighting for those rights and arguing with her father how foolish his idea was. She then talked about how she joined the white fang and her history with Adam and even though she talked about her history with Adam Blake found it hard to talk about Adam especially with what happened with him. She then talked about how the White Fang slowly became a terrorist organization and once she realized that Blake ran away and became a huntress to start a new life.
She then talked about her time in Beacon with team RWBY and also the vytal festival, and the fall of Beacon, she then talked about her time in Menagerie and stopping the White Fang from killing her parents and stopping Cinder and the White Fang from attacking Mistral and reuniting with her team. She then talked about their journey to Atlas, explained about the war with Salem and Ozpin past with her and about the first wave of humanity who wielded magic until Salem made them fight the gods of light and darkness and they killed the first wave humanity and over time humanity develop again but this time they had aura and semblance. She then talked about her final confrontation with Adam and how Yang and Blake had to kill him in self defense.
She then managed to tell them about her time in Atlas and about Ironwood betraying them and to get away from Ironwood and Salem who attacked Atlas, they used the staff to create a dimension to evacuate the people of Atlas to go to Vacuo. Blake then explained how Cinder and Neo attacked them and how Neo, attacked and Yang causing her to fall through the void and then how Cinder knock Neo, Ruby and Black into the void and the next thing they knew they woke up here.
Rhya, Patoli, Fana and Vetto listen to Blake's story and they couldn't help but feel bad for Blake and the faunus since their situation was similar to elves.
"Blake I'm sorry that you had to go through that it seems that the faunus and elves aren't that different from each other" Patoli said.
"No matter what universe there going tp be some crappy and mean humans man that sucks" Rhya said.
"But it seems like things aren't bad for Blake it seems like she has some nice and understanding friends and that it seems like slowly things are going in the right direction" Fana said.
"Yes, Blake you are a strong person and you care a lot about your people and your friends, I do believe that one day you will find a way for the faunus and the humans to understand one another and live together equally" Patoli said as he smiled.
"If Licht and Lumiere, and Teita was able to love each other and get along and then the same could be said for other humans and faunus" Vetto said.
"Licht, Luimere, Tetia?" Blake said.
"Licht he was the leader of us elves five hundred years ago even though humans were afraid of us and were maybe jealous of us Licht believed that one day the humans and the elves will be able to understand each other, he felt even more strongly when he met Luimere and Teita two human royals from back then" Patoli said.
Blake was pretty interested in the story and she smiled a bit "you know Licht sounds like a kind and optimistic person" Blake said in fact the way they describe Licht he reminded her of Ruby with how idealistic both are.
"Over time we elves had gotten close with the two royals especially Licht who became Luimere best friend, and Teita with whom Licht fallen in love it, and eventually Teita was pregnant with their child and eventually a wedding ceremony was to be held in our village" Patoli said.
"Really that's amazing" Blake said as she was really happy with Licht, Teita and Luimere and the rest of the elves but then she realized that the humans were afraid of the elves and if Luimere and Teita were royals no doubt that their parents would improve of the wedding nor with Teita having a child with a elf. She was afraid of asking them what happened after right when they was about to get married but she did so anyway.
"What...happened next?" Blake asked.
The elves had sad looks on their faces, Patoli then told Blake everything about how the humans of the clover kingdom came and attacked and killed all of the elves and Licht fell into despair and was turned into a giant ancient demon and how Luimere managed to destroy Licht and bring peace into the clover kingdom. Patoli then explained about how he was reincarnated inside of William and over time he reincarnated Rhya, Vetto and Patoli and they created the eye of the midnight sun to get revenge on the humans for killing them.
Patoli then explained what happened on how he reincarnated the elves into human host to attack and destroy the clover kingdom and how they were planning to use their host bodies to fully reincarnate and be alive for good. But as the battle was going on Patoli found out that the true master mind was a devil who influenced the humans to cause the elf massacre and did everything just so he can get his body out of the underworld and cause chaos where ever he goes. But thanks to the combined efforts of Licht and Luimere, Patoli and the ,magic knights. They were able to defeat the devils and Licht was able to tell the rest of the reincarnated elves the truth before they were able to leave their host bodies and move on to the after life.
Expect for Rhya, Fana and Vetto for Fana and Vetto since they were revived the second time with artificial bodies their souls were already bound to the bodies they were in. With Rhya he was already mostly bound to his host body and once he was reincarnated fully, his soul was bound to his host body so they couldn't go to the afterlife with the other elves. Patoli was brought back to life in Licht artificial body by Rades and not long after that the elves had left and discovered Elysia and have been living here since.
"I see it seems all of us are alike, being discriminated against and joining a terrorist organization and realized the mistakes we made and are now trying to make up for them" Blake said as she smiled at the elves.
"Yes now all of us are seeking our on redemption and to continue to live our lives to the fullest, I guess it was fate that we were able to meet each other like this Blake" Patoli said.
"I never thought about it like that Patoli maybe your right, even though our meeting is less then ideal" Blake said.
"Indeed" Patoli said.
"Now then I believe that Blake called you Neapolitan, and man your name is a bit of a handful so I'm going to call you Neo, so Neo you mind telling us your story and how you ended up as a criminal and working with a witch that wants to destroy your world" Rhya said as he looked at Neo.
Neo annoyed at Rhya antics merely turned her head to the side as if saying she not going to tell them anything.
"Oh I forgot that she can't speak, how interesting" Fana said.
Patoli then walked up to Neo and knelt down in front of her "if I let you go will you promise that you won't try to attack us and harm our village, this is our home and I don't want anything to happen to it if you try to destroy it I'm afraid we would have no choice but to fight you and possibly kill you and I don't want to do that" Patoli said.
"Patoli, you really shouldn't trust her she worked with Cinder and Salem and she sent Yang through the void and try to kill Ruby" Blake said.
"I am aware of that Blake however there are two sides of every story, there is a reason why she commnitted those crimes if we can hear her side then I believe that we can understand each other and work together in trying to find your friends and bring all of you back home" Patoli said.
"Wait you think Ruby and Yang are here in this world?" Blake asked the light magic user.
"I do, if you and Neo arrived here in our world then its most likely your friends are somewhere in our world as well" Patoli said.
"I was thinking the same thing actually" Blake said.
Patoli then turned to face Neo "now then do you have my word about not causing any trouble for?" Patoli said.
"Oh fair warning on the off hand chance if you do escape it's pretty dangerous to travel in the grand magic zone due to the dense mana in the area, you could get lost and eventually die out there. So yeah I wouldn't try to escape if I were you Neo" Rhya said.
Neo grunted, Rhya as much as how annoying he was being was telling the truth she was really stuck here and has no choice but allow the elves to help her get her home. She then sighed and she looked at Patoli and nodded her head as if saying she promise that she wouldn't cause any troblue.
"Thank you" Patoli said as he smiled and unreleased his binding spell on Neo.
"Now then I believe that it's time for you two to meet Dyrad, the guardian of our village" Patoli said as Blake and Neo stood up.
"Right you did mention her hopefully she will be able to help us, lead the way" Blake said.
"Right follow us" Patoli said as he Fana, Rhya and Vetto were walking towards Dyrad location, Neo and Blake looked at each other and Blake narrowed her eyes at Neo while Neo gave Blake a smirk. Blake didn't trust Neo one bit even though both of them were stuck in the same situation with each other, even though she didn't like it that much she is going to have to work together with Neo so that she can find Ruby and Yang and all of them could get back home as fast as possible.
Blake then remember Patoli's words about saying that there are two sides to every story so there could be a reason why Neo had turned into a life of crime and teamed up with Roman Torchwitck in the first place.
Neo then smiled at Blake and blew her kiss as she went on ahead and followed the elves causing Blake to shake her head as went on ahead as well.
After about a couple of minutes Blake and Neo were lead to the center of Elysia and as they were walking Blake had to admit that the village was beautiful it had all sorts of animals rivers and the forest seemed large and vast. She can't explain it but she can sense and feel a different energy around here but not just in the village but she can feel the energy in her own body as well.
"Patoli just did say we are in a different world and here people can use magic, if that's the Neo and I should be able to use magic as well" Blake thought.
Blake, Neo and the elves were lead to the front of the giant tree at the center of Elysia and what Neo and Blake didn't expect was to see a giant green skinned woman that has long hair that grows up from her head and it's filled with flowers and she has long pointed ears. She is also wearing a gown made of plants, with sterns and flowers growing out of it.
"Why hello there, I'm Dyrad the guardian here of Elysia it's very nice to meet you Blake and Neo, especially since your from another world!" Dyrad said.
"Wow she nothing what I expected" Blake thought.
"I can see into the future so I know your situation regarding your war with Salem and I'm sorry that you guys have to go through that" Dryad said as she gave Blake a sad look.
"Then you must know that it's important for us to get back home, please I was wondering if you can help me try to look for my friends and if there is a way for us to get back home" Blake said.
"I believe your friends Ruby, Weiss, Yang and Jaune are most likely in the Clover Kingdom" Dryad said.
" Wait Juane and Weiss fell through the void too... I hope they are doing alright" Blake said when she heard about Weiss and Jaune fate that's when she realized something.
"The Clover Kingdom, Patoli mention that the elves use to live outside of the clover kingdom five hundred years ago...thank you now I can go look for them right away" Blake said.
"I'm afraid you can't Elysia just yet, Blake" Elysia said.
"What why not?" Blake said annoyed and frustrated that Dryad said that she couldn't leave Elysia said.
"From what I know so far Salem is a powerful immortal being who can use magic and I believe the same goes with Cinder Fall, I'm afraid in your current states you and your friends don't have the power to defeat them" Dryad said.
"Are you saying that we shouldn't do anything in case you haven't realized my world is in danger of being destroyed" Blake said as she glared at Dryad.
"That's not what she saying Blake, I'm sure Dryad has a reason or idea about why you and Neo must stay in Elysia" Patoli said.
"Indeed I do, Blake I'm sure you and Neo has noticed a different form of energy flowing within you, or sensing the energy around Elysia, well that happens to be mana and that's what mages uses to cast magic" Dryad said.
Blake and Neo were shocked that Dryad said that they were able to use magic.
"It's true we are able to use magic" Blake thought
"In order to turn the tide of your war against Salem, you must train and master your magic power, I believe that your friends will go through the same thing" Dryad said.
"I see...but I don't know Salem could attack Vacuo at any moment and that's where the others are right now. We can't just be stuck here training while everyone else is trying to fight her off."Blake said.
"Blake we know how you feel but this is the best case scenario for you guys, if you and the rest of your friends can learn and master your magic you guys can potentially turn the tide of your war with Salem around" Fana said.
"I'll just say that you guys won't be going back to your world alone, you will have help and not to mention you and your friends are needed for the battles that lie ahead here in this word" Dryad said.
"I see" Blake said as much as she wants to leave and find Yang and the others and try to get back home...maybe getting stronger and learning magic might be the best way to fight Salem and Cinder, as they said fight fire with fire or magic with magic. Blake in a way could become a maiden without Ozpin having to grant them magic.
"It this can help us beat Salem, then I'm all for it besides if Ruby were here I think she would agree to this as well" Blake said.
Dryad then looked at Neo "Neo...oh do you prefer if I call you Trivia" Dryad said as Neo widen her eyes and she then had a furious look on her face due to Dryad calling her by her real/former name.
"Don't even think about it" Vetto said as he appeared beside Neo and Neo looked at him and gritted her teeth.
"My apologies, listen to me I know you had a difficult childhood with your parents not accepting you, and how Roman Torchwick saved you and you want to get revenge on Ruby for thinking she killed him. But you must understand that you need to direct your anger towards Cinder, since she indirectly gotten Roman killed. You and Ruby need to have a conversation and you must let her explain her side of the story.
Neo narrowed her eyes that's easy for her to say Ruby and her group of morons were the source of her and Romans problems if they didn't get in the way then maybe...just maybe her and Roman could have tried to get away from Cinder and move on with their lives. But then Cinder is the reason she here in the first place she the one that forced her and Roman to be in this stupid secret war she just recently found out about. If Neo finds a way to get back home the first thing she going to do is give that good for nothing bitch a piece of her mind.
"Listen, having hatred in your heart does you no good it can consume and you would loose yourself you heard our story, our revenge could cost the lives of many innocent people and I don't want you to live with more regrets in your life" Patoli said.
"Besides, little miss Trivia what good is revenge if your world is going to be destroyed it would be better if you work with us and help train you on how to use your magic" Rhya said.
"You know sometimes talking things out does help, if you want maybe you can talk to us about your life so that way we can learn and understand one another not to mention you can at least pay Cinder back for everything she done to you" Fana said.
Neo thought about what she should do, she should just say no but then she saw what Patoli can do with his she can train and be able to learn how to use magic she could be able to give Cinder the beat down she deserves. Also she hates to admit but their words were getting to her maybe she did jump the gun with attacking Ruby. Neo need to think what she should do regarding Ruby maybe those two can try to talk it out and have her explain her side of the story.
Neo sighed and nodded as if saying she agrees to train with the elves.
"Thank you now to really turn the tide I believe that it could be possible for you to two to learn ultimate magic" Patoli said as he smiled at Blake and Neo.
"Ultimate magic what is that exactly?" Blake asked.
"I will tell you about it another time, for now I bet you two haven't ate in awhile so we had these little ones bring you some food" Patoli said as Blake and Neo turned around and saw two young children walking and carrying a plate of fruit with them.
"Oh they're awake" the young boy said and Blake and Neo noticed he and the girl also had pointed ears.
"Who are these children?" Blake asked.
"Those two are the descendants of Licht and Lady Tetia, it turns out Lady Teita had twins and she and the other baby survived and that same baby managed to create this very village and it has been the home of these descendants ever sense" Patoli said.
"Really that's great I'm glad that at least one good thing came from that tragedy" Blake said as the boy went up to her.
"Here you go" the boy said as Blake knelt down so she can be face to face to the young elf and grabbed the plate of food.
"Thank you so much that was very sweet of you" Blake said as she rubbed the boy head and the boy blushed a bit.
Neo saw the girl walk over to her and she went and held out the plate of food towards her, Neo normally would maybe mess with people but her one rule is she doesn't do that to children due to how innocent they are. She then knelt down towards the girl and smiled and nodded at her as she took the plate of fruit from her.
"Now you should use the rest of the day to rest and recover, and also look around at Elysia and starting tomorrow we will begin your training" Patoli said.
"I understand, thank you guys so much this really could help us save the world...we've been through so much" Blake said.
"Yes I know but we are happy to help besides Licht would have done the same thing if he was here" Patoli said.
"You're welcome back here any time I'm always happy and willing to talk to new people!" Dryad said.
Blake smiled even though she not on Remnant anymore things have somehow turned out better for her, if she can train with the elves and find her friends and once they get back home with their new found power they could turn the war back to their side and they could stop Salem once and for all.
"Yang, Ruby...guys just hold on a bit longer once I'm finished training with the elves I'm going to find you guys and then we are getting out of here and are going back home" Blake thought as she had a determined look on her face.
A/N: Before I say anything everybody please pray for the people of Ukraine as they go through such a terrible time by fighting a senseless war. I just hope that people out there can stay safe as best as they can. Now with that being said I guess I was a bit excited to work on the next chapter of the story. Blake and Neo are going to be training with the elves and Dryad kind of said some spoilers about what's going to happen in the future haha.
