"So who is this Charlotte person exactly?" Ruby asked.
After they left the magic knight headquarters Finral had said he was going to head back to the base but he was going to pick up the others after Yami and the others finished their business her.
"Oh well she the captain of the blue rose knights" Asta said to Ruby.
"Oh really if she a captain then she must be pretty strong but why exactly are we going to her?" Ruby asked.
"Oh right we haven't told you what exactly happened here just a few days ago in fact you and the others just arrived while we were trying to find a way to clear my name up" Asta said.
"What do you mean, Asta?" Ruby asked.
Asta then explained to Ruby about how they battle they battled the eye of the midnight sun and they were lead by the last remaining elves.
They wanted revenge on the humans the royals of the clover kingdom for killing all of the elves during Licht and Tetia wedding but the true cause behind the massacre was in fact a devil.
Asta then told Ruby about their battle with the devil inside of the shadow palace and about how Secre has been a bird for 500 years and about how much long she was trying to help stop the devil and how much of a help she been in their battles.
"Wow Secre thats amazing all those years you been fighting a enemy that was the cause of a huge conflict between the elves and the humans...you know it reminds me of Ozpin and his long battle with Salem" Ruby said.
"Oh yeah he the guy that the god of light in your world reincarnated many times just so he can try to stop Salem right?" Yami asked.
"Yeah that's him...man I really hope him Oscar and the others are alright" Ruby said as she sighed a bit.
"Worrying not going to help anything red for now you just got to have faith in them while you and everyone else here focus on getting stronger"
"Right" Ruby said Yami was right worrying wont do any good she has to believe in the others they can hold off Salem and her forces until they get back.
After a couple of minutes it wasn't long until they arrived at the blue rose head quarters and along the way Yami even gotten a basket of fruits for Charlotte.
"Well you three wait outside I'll go inside and have talk with the prickly queen about forbbiden magic and how it relates to the devils" Yami said as he went inside Charlotte's office.
"Well I guess since were out here I guess we can talk to each other for a bit" Ruby said as she smiled at Asta and Secre.
"That's true there been so much going on I guess we haven't had that much down time or a chance to talk to each other" Asta said.
"Asta I wanted to ask, when you knew that I was upset you mentioned you can read my Ki, what is Ki exactly?" Ruby asked.
"Oh well Ki is a flow of life energy within people you can use it to like sense people emotions and predict their moves, you can also sense weather a person is lying or not" Asta said.
"Really thats actually pretty cool so Ki is another source of energy seperate from mana...huh I wonder if aura and ki are the same somehow, say Asta can I ask you something?" Ruby said to the anti magic knight.
"Sure Ruby what's up?" Asta asked.
"Do you think, you could teach me how to use Ki if I can learn how to sense Ki I think that would really help me when my fights especially if I use my semblance and magic" Ruby said.
"Sure I actually dont mind but you might rather have captain Yami teach you how to use Ki, he has a better understanding of it and he was the one that taught me how to use Ki" Asta replied.
Ruby placed her index finger on her chin.
"Oh really ok well I can ask captain Yami then speaking of him I wonder if-" Ruby started to say, but Ruby wasn't able to finish her sentence as the door to Charlotte's office opened.
"AHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!"
The trio then looked as they saw Charlotte screaming and running away.
"Uh what the heck just happened!" Ruby said shocked at what she just said.
"I think that was the captain of the blue rose" Asta said.
"Really then why the heck was she running like a mad woman like that" Ruby said as she had a confused look on her face.
"I wonder if he was able to ask about the weg and forbidden magic" Secre said.
Meanwhile Yami and Sol looked out the window and saw Charlotte running towards the middle of the captial and the windows were opened.
"Uh I was just hoping to ask you about forbidden magic..." Yami said.
"Sis come back!!!!!" Sol yelled.
A couple of hours later Ruby Asta Secre who was in bird form and Yami was standing outside of the blue rose headquarters once again.
"So are you sure you'll be able to talk to her captain Yami?" Ruby asked.
"Well I kind of have to besides the quicker we get through with this the faster I can help train you and teach you how to use Ki" Yami said.
"Well thats fair" Ruby said.
"Well I guess we should go then" Asta said as they made their way to the blue rose headquarters.
When they gotten to the courtyard area they heard some noises and they saw that Charlotte was with her squad.
"Huh it looks like they're having a meeting" Ruby said.
"I don't know whats going on but you people sure are having fun" Yami said everyone turned as they saw Asta Yami Ruby and Secre.
"Well we found her what are you doing?" Yami asked
"Go on captain chances don't get better then this
"Yami um uh well um" Charlotte said as she was nervous around Yami.
"Why is she so nervous around captain Yami?" Ruby thought.
"I already know how you feel, I know for ages that indescrible one of a kind ki" Yami said.
"I make you uncomfortable dont I, you just can't stand me but that doesn't make it okay to run away screaming, you'll wound my senstive heart all right" Yami said.
We've know each other for quite awhile, no matter how much you hate me you could afford to hear me out for a minute or two" Yami said.
Ruby saw that Charlotte was blushing.
"I wonder does she have like a crush on Captain Yami" Ruby thought.
"You're wrong Captain Yami I dont think she's unfortable around you" Asta said causing Yami to grabbed his head.
"Nobody asked for your opinion Mr. Suspended Sentence" Yami said.
"The blue rose captain ki feels a lot like Noelle it isnt dislike she trusts you, the more she trusts you, the harder it is for her to tell you things straight out some people are like that" Asta said.
"Asta has a point captain Yami, my friend Blake sometimes she doesn't show her feelings often but I know that the end of the day she loves and trusts us and she willing to do whatever it takes to be there for us" Ruby said as she had a bit of sad smile on her face.
Whenever she mentioned about Blake Ruby can't help but worry about her she probably alone by herself in this world. Blake is strong and capable but Ruby hopes she hasnt run into a oponent she can't handle.
Ruby quickly got those thoughts out of her head.
"I really got to stop worrying like captain Yami told me to do" Ruby thought.
"So listen captain it really shouldn't matter how you act as long as you and captain Yami know that you like and care about each other then thats more then enough" Ruby said.
"Yami is this Ruby, the girl you took into your squad after she arrived in our world" Charlotte asked.
"Yep this is her thanks to her and the stuff with this brat here things have gotten a lot more crazy" Yami said.
"Your name is Ruby and Asta, correct I am captain Charlotte Roselei captain of the blue rose squad its a pleasure to meet you" Charlotte said.
"Likewise I like your last name by the way your last name has the word Rose and my last name is Rose thats pretty cool hehehe" Ruby said.
"Yes that is a coincidence, listen Ruby I am so sorry you had to go through so much regarding your war with Salem just know that we will help you get you and your friends home and help you defeat Salem" Charlotte said.
"Thank you captain Roselei I apperciate that a lot" Ruby said as she bowed her head at Charlotte.
"As for you Asta I'm sorry as well if our bodies didnt get taken over by the elves you wouldn't be in this mess at all" Charlotte said.
"Oh no dont worry about it, its not your fault at all" Asta said.
"Yami you said you have something you wanted to talk about why don't we discuss it over dinner" Charlotte said.
"Yeah sure" Yami said "I dont really get it bit finally seesh" he thought.
A couple of hours later both Ruby and Asta were back at the black bulls hideout and everyone was eating dinner thanks to Charmy.
"Do you think that captain Yami can get some answers about forbidden magic or the devils?" Ruby asked.
"I'm sure he can besides its not like we have any other leads" Asta said.
"Thats true" Ruby said as he nodded.
"Hey Ruby how about tomorrow we have another fight?" Luck said as she got close to Ruby.
"Luck you idiot did you forget we have to go to the diamond kingdom to gather some information on them" Magna said.
"Oh right sorry Ruby I guess we would have to fight another time" Luck said as he was disappointed a bit.
Ruby giggled "dont worry Luck I promise we are going to have another fight soon" she said.
"Yes!!" Luck said.
"Hey Noelle you been kind of quiet is everything ok?" Ruby asked the youngest Silva.
"Oh sorry Ruby its just that tomorrow I have to go see my older brother tomorrow" Noelle said.
"Really hold on that captain that was with Weiss the one with the silver hair thats your older brother?" Ruby asked.
"Yes thats him his name is Nozel" Noelle said.
"Weiss did say his name during the meeting in fact Weiss actually unlocked his aura" Ruby said.
"Your friend did that, Ruby?" Vanessa asked.
"She sure did but not only that Ruby was able to unlock my aura too and Jaune unlocked Yuno aura too and Yang unlocked captain Mereoleona aura as well it was so cool" Asta said as he smiled a bit.
"Woah really thats actually pretty cool I mean its not as cool as eating delicious food of course" Charmy said.
"Hey Asta you mind showing us your aura?" Magna asked his friend and fellow black bull member.
"Sure ok...um Ruby how do I like use my aura or make is visable?" Asta asked the young huntress.
"Hmm well what do you do when you try to use your anti magic?" Ruby asked.
"Well usually when I try to use my black form I just try to gather all of the anti magic that I have and focus it around or through my body" Asta said.
"Well aura is the same way, remember Asta your aura is your soul, so try to focus and summon and gather the aura you have inside of you" Ruby explained to the anti magic user.
"Ok" Asta closed his eyes and he tried to focus and imagine his aura around him and it wasn't long until a red aura appeared around Asta and Asta opened his eyes.
"Wow so thats aura" Vanessa said.
"I-It kind of looks kind of when we use mana skin" Gray said.
"I'll say its like I have a extra layer of armor protecting me" Asta said and he looked at Ruby.
"Ruby I can't thank you enough I promise that I'm going to work and master on how to use my aura" Asta said.
"Don't worry about it Asta like I said I'm willing to help you be the next wizard king" Ruby said.
"I'm going to help you save your world, but first things first I'm going to help you teach you Ki...oh by the way I do train pretty early in the morning I hope you dont mind that" Asta said.
"No its no problem at all we had to get up early to do missions back at Atlas" Ruby replied.
"Great then get ready Ruby because we are going to do some intense training"
"Right I ready to learn from you Asta" Ruby said.
A couple of hours it wasn't long until Asta and Ruby were outside of the black bulls hideout and the two of them was standing across from each other.
"Alright Ruby you ready?" Asta asked.
Ruby sighed she realized that this was the first time she was going to use her magic for the first time.
Ruby then wasted little time and retracted crescent rose into it's scythe form and swung it around until she got into a battle ready stance she then focus and gotten her grimoire out of her satchel and it opened up in front of her.
"Got to say Ruby your scythe is pretty cool" Asta as his grimiore out.
"Thanks Asta, so I guess we are just going to spar together" Ruby said.
Asta then took out the demon dweller sword from his grimoire he knew that Ruby fighting style is based around her speed from what he saw in her fight with Luck.
He might not be able to keep up with her if he use the demon slayer sword unless he uses his black form. So his best bet would be to use the demon dweller sword.
"Yeah I figure this could be the best way for you to learn how to use Ki, although for me I had to learn in a life of death situation" Asta chuckled as he remember his fight aganist Valtos.
"Well good thing we are only training then, so any advice before we get started?" Ruby asked.
"Just try to focus and concentrate try to focus and get a sense on my movements and predict where I'm going to attack next" Asta said.
"Got it well then lets get started" Ruby said.
Ruby then wasted little time and with one swing of crescent rose she fired a slash like attack that was made of roses.
Rose Magic: Rose Slash
"Ok Ruby focus and track Asta ki and predict where he going to dodge the attack" Ruby thought she then narrowed her eyes and unknown to Ruby her silver eyes flashed silver and Ruby was shocked as she was able to see Asta ki.
"This must be Asta ki he going to jump and dodge to the right" Ruby thought.
Just like Ruby predicted Asta did indeed was able to jump and dodge to the right however Ruby using her semblance sped up and was already in front of Asta.
"She was able to get to where I was going so quickly!" Asta said.
Ruby took young crescent rose upward at Asta but Asta was able to block it. Asta and Ruby then exchanged clashes with their weapons neither giving the other the edge.
Asta with one swing managed to push Ruby back and now that he found a opening Asta took jump forward and took a slash at Ruby but Ruby used petal burst to dodge the attack she then returned to form up in the air and she spun crescent rose in front of her as she tried another spell.
Rose Magic: Rose Tornado
Ruby then created a giant tornado and it engulfed Asta.
Ruby then used her semblance to get back on the ground.
"Lets see how Asta can get out of this, I got to say I'm starting to get the hang of using my magic...its almost starting to become second nature like when we are using our semblance" Ruby said.
"If he gets out of the Tornado I need to predict where he going to attack next" Ruby said as her silver eyes glowed.
The Silver Eyes power is magic itself that was gifted to those by the god of light in Remnant in order to preserve life.
Ki is the flow of life energy within people due to the power of her silver eyes Ruby unknow to her can see the flow of ki within each indivual and can sense and predict their movements.
"Damn it I'm trapped this is like what happened with Mimosa brother in the magic knight exam" Asta said.
Asta could feel the rose petals cut up through his clothes and if it wasn't for his aura he could have been in trouble.
Asta then went ahead and grabbed his newest sword from his grimoire.
Ruby narrowed her eyes she has a bad feeling about this she saw black energy coming from her rose tornado spell and at that time Ruby saw her spell get destroyed.
Ruby covered her eyes and she looked and saw that Asta was gone.
"Where did Asta go" Ruby said she then gasp as she could sense Asta was behind her and at the last moment Ruby turned quickly and swung Crescent Rose upward blocking the attack however Asta quickly swung the demon destroyer sword down at Ruby but the young huntress jump back quickly to dodge the attack.
"Oh man that was close" Ruby said.
"Nice Ruby as expected you are strong so did you learn how to sense ki and be able to use it in a fight" Asta said.
"Yeah I think Im getting the hang of it but Asta I can see a aura around you" Ruby said as her silver eyes glowed.
"Really hey Ruby your eyes are glowing" Asta said.
"Huh" Ruby said as she placed her hand over her left eye and once she did that her silver eyes stopped glowing.
"That's wierd their no grimm in this world so why are my powers activating" Ruby said.
"Hmm hey Ruby remember what you told us about your silver eyes about how your powers might have orginagted from the god of light in your world and the old lady taught you that your silver eyes are ment to perserve life" Asta said.
"Oh mean Ms. Calavera yeah I remember telling you guys about her" Ruby said.
Asta mentioning Maria reminded Ruby she rarely saw Maria at all while she was back in Atlas. She really hope that she was able to escape and is at Vacuo with the others if not...she couldnt imagine of someone she grew close with died under her leadership.
But Ruby at the moment push those thoughts to the side and focus on Asta explaination.
"Well ki is the flow of life energy within our bodies so...maybe with your silver eyes your seeing my Ki" Asta said.
"Huh really I never knew my eyes could do that" Ruby said.
"Well I think your silver eyes are magic as well which is pretty cool too think about it Ruby its like you got too magic types!!!" Asta yelled.
"Hehe I guess so you know a part of me was starting to think having these eyes was a curse Salem had hunted down so many of those that have silver eyes that maybe because of my eyes so many people died but I need to remind myself these eyes are one of the keys to stop Salem and awakening this abilty is proof of that" Ruby said.
"Exactly Ruby your powers are a gift you shouldn't doubt or waste your gift" Asta said.
Ruby smiled at Asta and nodded.
"Asta lets continue I still have a long way to go until I can be good at using Ki" Ruby said as she got into a stance again.
"Sure Ruby I know that by fighting you I'm going to get a lot stronger" Asta said as he got into a stance as well.
Asta then looked at the demon sword and saw it was faintly glowing red.
"Huh why is the demon dweller sword glowing red like that" Asta thought.
While Asta Ruby and the others were getting stronger a certain event that happened will have a impact on the battles that will hapoen soon.
We go to the second level of the underworld and we have the ruler of the second level Adramelech just casually sitting on top of a large pillar.
The supreme devil was just bored and paitently waiting until his plans fully start if all goes well then it wont be long until he escapes from the underworld and they can start their plans.
However the supreme devil noticed something he looked up and saw a flash of green light coming from the skies of the underworld and he saw the light falling and it passed by him and the light hit and crashed in front of him.
"Whaaat did something pass through the gate..." Adramelech said as he flew down from his pillar and he checked to see what just came through to the underworld.
Once Adramelech landed near the area he looked and saw that it was a girl that had long orange hair and was wearing a green and white dress. The supreme devil looked and turned the girl over and he saw that the girl had a stab wound and she was already dead.
"A human hehe it looks like she already dead but...its faint but I do sense some magic power from her..." Adrammalech said.
The devil then smiled "dont worry my dear...I'll keep you safe I believe that he might give you a better purpose in your new life then your previous life" the supreme devil smirked.
A/N: Well I bet you guys werent expecting this twist lol just when you think things are looking up for Ruby things might turn for the worst for her but luckily for her its going to be awhile until she face that tramua. Also I hope you guys like that Ruby can see Ki with her silver eyes I thought since the silver eyes have a comnection with life I thought it would be fitting that Ruby can see the life energy or the ki with people.
