At a dark forest Finral's spatial magic portal opened up and Ruby Weiss, Noelle,Blake Neo, Asta and Finral jumped outside of it.
"We've made it welcome to Branch Zero" Finral said.
"This is Branch Zero oh man this is a bit of a spooky place at least from the outside" Ruby said as she couldn't help but remember her time at Brunswick Farms fighting the apathy grimm.
"Hey whats up this is Asta from the black bulls the wizard king sent me open the doors already" Asta said.
"Asta you idiot use your head this is a secret base you obviously need a password to get in" Weiss said as she shook her head a bit.
"She right Asta only even a handful of nobles knows that this lab exist, to get in you need to write in the password using your own magical power" Finral said as he went to the door and wrote the password by using his own magic.
Once Finral did that the door opened and they looked and saw that a green haired woman was standing in front of her.
"And you are?" Finral asked the woman.
"Ah you must be the Black Bulls and if I recall the people who came from another world" the woman said as she took off her glasses.
"I'm branch coordinator Millie Maxwell it's a pleasure to meet you, come this way" Millie said.
"Right" Asta said as they started to enter the building.
"We've been briefed, it's quite the situation I'm going to let someone else take it from here" Millie said as they looked and saw Secre in glasses and a lab coat.
"She'll be happy to show you around" Millie said.
"Secre!!" "Nero!!" Ruby and Asta said calling the girl by her real name and nickname.
After that moment it wasn't long until the group had started to follow Secre.
"The magic tool Julius needs is down below stored in the depths of this facility for safe keeping Sally is making is adjustments to it" Secre said.
"So Sally here too" Finral laughed a bit.
"Oh yeah you told me about her Asta isn't she that freaky scientist girl that use to be apart of the eye of the midnight sun" Ruby asked.
"Yeah that's her, Ruby" Asta said.
"Secre from what I call you been watching over the clover kingdom for centuries, about 500 years right do you recognize the people that attacked the stadium?" Blake asked.
Secre didn't say anything at first but she said.
"I don't know all of the details but I can confirm a few things for you, the mastermind is Conrad Leto I assume you at least heard of his name before" Secre said.
"Conrad was...you don't mean" Finral as he stopped and recognized the name.
The group then stopped at a dead end where there was a bottomless pit.
"He use to be a magic knight of the clover kingdom and Julius Novochrono predecessor" Secre said.
"Predecessor are you saying that our opponent is the former wizard king of the clover kingdom?" Blake asked.
"But hold on didnt that guy get sick he been dead for almost ten years" Finral said.
"I'll explain what I can, get on" Secre said as a large platform appeared and once they got on they started to go downward.
"Conrad Leto was the twenty seventh Wizard King even before he was chosen for this role he was known as one of the most powerful men in the kingdom he quickly became a captain in the magic knights and you might expect his squad was praised with its successes" Secre explained.
"The citizens of the land trusted him and given his abilities and the respect he garnered it was no surprise that he was named the Wizard King, however something changed inside him he rebelled against the kingdom and as a result was stripped of his title" Secre said.
"He rebelled against the clover kingdom" Blake said thinking about how and why would Conrad try to rebel against the kingdom he swore to protect.
"He tried to destroy the nation" Secre said.
"No way the Wizard King job is to protect peace, why would he try to do something so terrible?" Asta asked.
"I have no idea what we do know is this, his plan relied on the imperial sword Elsdocia a magic item that belonged to lord Luimere the first wizard king" Secre continued explaining.
"When Julius and the others learned of this plot they stopped Conrad by sealing him" Secre said.
"Intense" Finral said.
"They then announced he died of an illness so the kingdom wouldn't panic, keep in mind that Julius couldn't defeat him with the help of the most elite magic knights as such he had no choice but to use his time magic on Conrad to keep him locked away and out of sight so he couldn't harm anybody" Secre said.
"I get it he incredibly strong but what kind of magic does he use?" Noelle asked.
"If we know what type of magic he uses we would have a better idea on what we are up against and how to prepare accordingly, even if he is a former wizard king" Weiss said.
"Key Magic, it grants him the ability to create keys that can open and close rifts out of thin air" Secre said.
"The magic space behind these doors is able absorb whatever Conrad wishes tools grimoires, magic itself. It's possible he could also steal aura and semblances as well" Secre said.
"Seriously" Noelle said.
"Wait you mean" Finral said.
"Correct he has the ability to steal a person magic and after he can uses it as he pleases" Secre said.
"That isn't good how to be fight someone that can steal our magic power and not to mention possibly our aura and semblances as well" Ruby said.
It wasn't long until the platform stopped and that the group was in front of the door and Secre had her grimorie in front of her.
Sealing Magic: Release"
Secre used her sealing magic to open the door and the platform went further down.
Neo wasted little time and she used her semblance to create Roman in order to speak for her
"Right,even though the story about a former king going crazy is interesting how much further down are we going?" Roman asked.
"The security is extreme" Noelle said.
"Yes, patience we are almost there" Secre said as they were in a darkened area and some blue lights were on.
"This is the inner most part of branch zero here we store the most important magic tools in our catalog" Secre said as the group was walking through the inner part of branch zero.
"So I guess we are suppose to get back an important magic tool then?" Ruby asked.
"Yes it's something prince Luimere was developing to control the power of the imperial sword, you can think of it as a sheath for Elsdocia" Secre replied.
"It's still a prototype but with any luck we can use it to seal Conrad again" Secre said as he placed her hand on a lock pad that opened the door.
The group went inside and Neo narrowed her eyes.
"When I heard you were after something Luimere worked on my interest was peaked but this was a useless trinket" Conrad said as he destroyed the device
Ruby Weiss Neo and Blake took out their weapons.
Secre saw that Conrad had gotten Sally.
"No don't!!" Secre yelled.
" Sally!!" Asta yelled.
Conrad threw Sally at Secre knocking both girls back.
Weiss quickly created a glyph around Conrad but the former wizard jumped to the side as an ice pillar stood where Conrad once was.
"Demon Slayer!!" Asta said as he took out his demon slayer sword and swung at Conrad but he dodged the attack and Conrad appeared behind the group.
Conrad kicked Asta and Noelle away and he tried to kick Neo but, Neo did a spilt to dodge the kick she then did an upward flip kick kick knocking Conrad back.
Blake and Ruby took the opportunity to attack Conrad they both used Crescent Rose and Garboul Shroud to slash at Conrad. But Conrad disappeared he then used wind magic to blow Blake Neo Ruby and Weiss and Finral away.
"Guys!!" Asta said as he was held in place by Conrad restraining spell.
"I know you" Conrad said as he covered Asta up in an earth dome.
"How did you find us?" Secre asked
"Secre Swallowtail yet another mage from the black bulls, your fellow mages are Asta Noelle Silva Finral Roulcase and Ruby Rose one of the girls that came from a world beyond ours" Conrad said.
"Along with Weiss Schnee, Blake Belldonna and Neopolitan the other people from the other world called Remnant" Conrad said.
"Memory Exchange Magic which makes it easy to see what other people has experienced invading other people privacy is distasteful but it allowed me to locate this place" Conrad said.
"Marx's magic" Noelle said
"Shall I show you what's happening" Conrad said as he showed screens on what's happening in the clover kingdom.
"Citizens of the Clover Kingdom surrender immediately and offer your magical power as a tribute, resistance is futile my legion magic soldiers will keep on fighting until there last bit of energy is spent" Princia said.
"One of the former Wizard Kings Princia, the imperial sword is supplying her with magical power it stored meaning she essentially has no limits the Magic Knights has been completely wiped out and we taken control of every citizen and every strategic facility in the kingdom" Conrad said.
"It can't be" Secre said.
"Impressive, no so many so fast don't for a moment think your invaded by a portly swarm of magic soldiers, Princia can summon armies comparable to the strongest nation" Conrad said.
"Why are you doing this there no reason for you to cause this must destruction and harm innocent people like this?" Blake said.
"Come now Blake you of all people should know why I'm doing I'm trying to bring change to this nation just like how your White Fang try to bring change to your kingdoms back in your world" Conrad said.
"This won't bring change Conrad your only going to bring even more fear upon the people, the people that your susppose to protect" Blake said.
"There no point in trying to protect the scum that reside in this nation Blake, if you try to resist me your going to end up like the powerful mages that helped you" Conrad said.
He showed Yami who was unconscious
"Captain Yami!!" Asta and Ruby yelled horrified to see their captain in a state like this.
They saw that Nozel was also unconscious much to shock of Noelle and Weiss
Noelle gasp in shocked
"No captain Nozel" Weiss said horrified that her captain and one of the people she respected and gotten close with over the four months she been with was in this state.
They then saw Fuegoleon and the other magic knights get engulfed in a huge blast.
"All those people at the stadium" Secre said.
"Nozel, brother" Noelle said.
"Thats right your the youngest Silva daughter, daughter of Acier Silva the renowned steel warrior princess. I will admit your brother was more resilient then last time but he was still able to fall before his sister and precious magic knight member...to think such a pathetic coward was a magic knight captain" Conrad said.
Noelle angered at Conrad words started to attack him.
Sea Dragon Roar!!
Noelle unleashed a sea dragon roar destroying part of the facility. But it did no damage and roots started to attack Noelle but the roots froze up thanks to Weiss.
"Weiss" Noelle said as Weiss glared at Conrad.
"I think I heard quite enough from you, your not going to get away with this especially since you insulted a man I deeply respect" Weiss said as she Ruby Blake and Neo raised their magic power.
Weiss covered herself in a ice dress similar to Noelle when she uses her Valkryie armor spell expect her ice dress has her emblem in the middle and she has two angelic ice wings at the back of her dress. Weiss was also wearing an ice tiara on top of her head.
Ice Creation Magic: Himmlisch Klied
Blake whole body was wrapped in shadow magic and once the shadow magic vanished Blake appeared in an outfit made from her shadow magic.
Blake was wearing a black kimono like dress similar to what the kunoichi wear while she reads ninjas of love. Blake was wearing a mask that covers her mouth and she is wearing a long black scarf and her pants were darken due to the shadow magic. Blake hands were also covered in shadow magic but she also created some small shadow claws over her hands.
Shadow Magic: Wrath of the Silent Kunoichi
Neo covered herself with her Mist Magic but her form was unique. As Neo covered herself in Mist Magic she was covered in two. On the left side of her body Neo was colored brown just like her hair and on her right side it was pink.
True Mist Magic: Overactive Illusion
A swirl of roses had appeared around Ruby and once rose has dissipated around her. Ruby was wearing a red cloak made from her rose magic over her regular cloak. She was also wearing a red combat skirt that was also made from the roses from her rose magic and she was also wearing a red blouse made from her rose magic. At the middle of her blouse was a large black rose symbol.
Rose Creation Magic: Cloak of Roses
It wasn't long until everybody attacked Conrad causing another explosion and Conrad was sent back as Weiss Ruby Blake and Neo followed him.
"Damn it all!!" Asta said as he broke free from his restraints. He then turned to look at Noelle.
"Noelle, Nero look after Finral and Sally while we deal with this bastard" Asta said as he took out his demon slayer and sweller sword and transform into his black form and went after Conrad with the others.
Meanwhile with Conrad he was quickly flying into the air and by using his key magic he launch multiple fire and lightning attacks at the group. But Weiss quickly summoned multiple glyps to block the attacks.
Ruby used reinforcement magic and by using that combined with her semblance she was able to catch up to Conrad.
Ruby used Crescent Rose to take multiple swings at Conrad but the former wizard king barely able to dodge the attacks.
Conrad barely duck under a horizontal slash from Ruby and he flew lower towards the water. As he did that Conrad saw a stream of mist appeared in front of him. Conrad quickly created a door and fired a fire blast at Neo but Neo using her must magic was able to turn into mist and dodge the attack.
"She was able to turn into Mist itself to avoid my attack" Conrad thought in shocked as Neo solidified herself and used the bladed end of Hush to swipe at Conrad but the former wizard king crossed his arms to block the attack but he was deeply cut in both forearms.
Conrad then flew lower and at the same time he avoided shadow, rose and anti magic slashes from Ruby, Blake and Asta and as everybody followed him Conrad touched the ground as he undid a metal pipe and he threw it at the group.
"Everybody look out!!" Ruby said as she used her semblance to avoid the pipes, Neo used also turned into mist and flew around and dodged the pipes.
Mana Zone: Anmutiger Eistanz
Weiss was able to use mana zone to spin and weave around the pipes while with Asta and Blake they merely jumped from pipe to pipe to avoid them.
It wasn't long until they saw Conrad and with the pipes floating in the air and he smirk at the group
"Oh no he got us!!" Blake said as the pipes started to fall on them.
As the pipes fell on them Blake went underground using her shadow magic and at the same time Neo and Ruby slid under the pipes with Ruby using her semblance.
Blake using the shadows quickly travel until she was inside Conrad shadow she went ahead and try to strike him with gramboul shroud. But Conrad opened a door and used lightning magic to strike Blake.
Blake using her semblance avoided the attack at the last second.
"A clone" Conrad thought as he saw a burst of aura and anti magic from Asta and Weiss and the two were free and they flew and joined the group.
Conrad then created a pool of poison towards the group and some poison tentacles bit them down.
"Ah what is this poison it's tearing into our aura!!" Weiss said as she could see her aura flickering along with the others.
"Demon Destroyer!!" Asta said as he took the demon destroyer sword out from his grimoire and destroyed the poison magic surrounding the group.
"My what wonder power you guys do those are semblances and that is anti magic. With anti magic it can nullify magic and any phenomenon that is derived from magic" Conrad said.
"I would like to take all of your abilities as well but perhaps I'll refrain from the time being I don't want to have anti magic effect anything I have in store, since we're all together let's have a little chat" Conrad said.
"I thought we were perfectly clear that we don't want to hear what you have to say" Weiss said.
"My giving me the cold soldier Weiss, your no different from those rich sobs back at your homeland or the nobles here" Conrad said.
"Don't insult Weiss like that she nothing like that at all" Ruby said.
"Maybe so but Blake Ruby and Asta we are walking similar paths" Conrad said.
"You really are nuts we are nothing like you!!" Asta said as he increased his aura and anti magic causing a gust of wind.
"The imperial sword Elsdocia is magic tool developed by Luimere a long time ago, it happens to be perfectly compatible with my key magic" Conrad said.
"The sword was created to preserve expectational magic from great mages and heros as a legacy for future generations, you see it not only has the power and wisdom of every wizard king stored inside of it. But a piece of their soul as well, are you starting to understand" Conrad said before continuing.
"This weapon can absorb stockpile and unleash an absurd amount of magical power all at once with it I'll combine the generations of wizard kings magic with the various amount of magic I stole and create a gargantuan compound magic and every single citizen will perish" Conrad said.
"But don't you worry the imperial sword can store souls of the departed, I will select the worthy and bring back those that deserves to inherit the world that I created" Conrad said.
"I know people loathe me because of my magic I seen it in their memories, just know Asta, Blake and Neo I know how you all must feel" Conrad said.
"With Blake and Neo being discriminated against, being hated just for being unquie and different from everybody else"
"In both worlds only those with power will survive and those that are different and weak will die, isn't both our worlds unbearable everyone" Conrad said.
"Shouldn't we just destroy everything and start anew join me and we will shape a new reality together one well they have esteem for their fellow man, when they can't help but smile" Conrad said.
"Also once you join me I can also find a way to bring you back home and we can defeat Salem and bring about an age of peace amount Remnant as well" Conrad said.
Ruby narrowed her eyes the reason she became a huntress is because she wanted to save and help people. So that they be happy and go on with their daily lives and not have to worry about the threat of the Grimm.
Ruby could tell that Conrad must have gone through something terrible for him to act like this but destroying and killing everybody will make him no better then the corrupt nobles he trying to take down.
Blake felt the same way when she looks at Conrad she sees a man that's has a lot of hatred and pain in his eyes similar to Adam and even herself back in the day when she was in the white fang.
When she sees Conrad it's like she looking at her past. Or what she could have been had she probably stayed in the white fang.
"Even in a different world my past always catches up to me" Blake thought.
As for Neo she could understand Conrad frustration, back home her parents didn't care for her one bit and the only one that allowed her to be herself was Roman and that now that he was gone. Neo felt like the entire world or I guess the multiverse was against her.
If she had met Conrad first when she arrived in this world she probably would have joined him.
However the elves and...especially the idiot she called her boyfriend changed her and made her realized that revenge would do her no good. Not to mention she has friends that can help her ease the pain and help her start over and have a new life here in this world.
Neo began to think about Gadjah Lolopechkia Udine, team RWBY, Jaune the elves and especially Rhya her boyfriend.
There no way she was going to let a bastard like Conrad take her friends and her new life in this world away from her.
Asta remembered about how he said he wanted everyone should respect and get along with each other and that he wanted to create that world as wizard king.
"Shut up that's bullshit!!" Asta yelled as hedrew the demon dweller sword and Blake quickly ran at Conrad and the two did multiple slices with their sword but Conrad dodges them.
"The Wizard King is suppose to protect his people to make sure everyone in the nation is safe and happy" Asta said as Conrad jump back as he was up in the air.
Conrad looked up and he saw a glyph made from mana and he saw multiple small like birds and he covered himself as he was strucked by the attack.
As that happened both Asta and Ruby appeared in front of Conrad and struck him in the chest causing the former Wizard King to scream in pain as he was flung back towards the pipes.
"We won't let you destroy our worlds!" Ruby said as everyone went after Conrad.
Conrad gathered himself and slid back as he saw everyone was coming after him.
"You cannot stop me the trench of this society is force to lead lives devoid of worth" Conrad said.
"You seen it but I could give meaning to their existence why can't you see that" Conrad said as he unleashed a powerful water blast at the group but Weiss pointed Myrtenaster and froze the attack.
While Blake and Neo who used her semblance to transform into Blake slid through the ice and they launched multiple aura and shadow sword slashes at Conrad who dodged the attacks.
"Can't you see Conrad you would be no better then the people you're trying to get rid of. Instead of bringing and harming innocent people into your cause why not rally and gain support of the people that will hear you out that way together you will bring honest change to the clover kingdom!!" Blake said.
"It's not that simple Blake the world is too broken that words alone will never make these people change their hearts and minds. It's a pity you and your friends can't see that" Conrad said as a key appeared in front of him.
"That's not something you can decide at this point you're only thinking about yourself!!" Weiss said as Asta did a black slash and destroyed Conrad key and scratched his face knocking him back a bit.
Neo then appeared in front of him and she created a huge amount of mist and it wasn't long that Ruby Blake Weiss and Neo attacked Conrad from all sides and together and the girls then appeared in front of him and they knock Conrad back sending him flying to a wall.
"Grrrrr!!" Conrad said as he slowly got up as he was scratched up and bloody up a bit as he was angry and frustrated at how this battle is going.
"Why can't you understand!!" Conrad said as he launch a huge fire spell at the group but Asta cut through the fire with his sword
Conrad broke through the fire and he grabbed Ruby and threw her at Asta knocking them back and he fired a lightning spell at them electrocuting them and once that happen their aura disappeared
"Asta, Ruby!!" Weiss said.
"I know you experienced the inequality back on Remnant and Asta here in our world" Conrad said as he gave Weiss a round house kick back towards Asta and Ruby and her aura broke.
"A whole race is aganist you!!" Conrad said as he used wind magic to blow Neo and Blake back towards the others.
"You must choose Asta, Ruby, Blake, Neo and Weiss walk down this path with me" Conrad said as he unlocked a lot of doors as the group stood up.
"Even with all the damage he took he still has a lot of magical power left to still fight" Weiss said.
"Or disappear forever" Conrad before Weiss could summoned more glyphs to protect the group Conrad started to attack everyone from all directions gravely injuring everyone.
"AHHHH!!!" everyone yelled as a large explosion happened due to Conrad attack.
Conrad then stood over the group who was on the ground beaten and bloody up.
"Give up this fight already we are alike accept that and stand at my side" Conrad said.
"The fusion of magic will be completed by dawn tomorrow that's your deadline your last chance" Conrad said.
"No no matter what happens we will stop you" Ruby said.
"So that's your answer...know that I will regret all of your deaths" Conrad.
"We will fight, and I will never back down because my magic is never giving up" Asta said as Conrad was shocked at his words.
Multiple portals appeared and once that happened Asta and the others were teleported back to Finral Secre Sally and Noelle.
"That's the last of my power, what now?" Finral asked.
"We're not done we'll try whatever we can" Secre said as Conrad started to walk up to as he did that a window broke and Yuno in his sprit dive form and Jaune who was in his wing blade form appeared. But as they appeared their forms disappeared.
"Yuno, Jaune how did you two get here" Finral asked.
"And Millie too " Finral said as Millie jump down and landed with the group.
"Those two made it clear they wouldn't leave until they helped you" Millie said as she took out tubes with green liquid in them.
"Drink up,Sally" Millie said as she gave the tubes to Sally.
"Okay" Sally said as she drunk the liquid from the tubes.
"There no plan we just have to play this one by ear " Millie said as she started to drink the same liquid as well.
"That sounds like a fun time like we're experimenting " Sally said.
"No, not fun I truly loathe improvisation" Millie said.
Yuno and Jaune launched sword slashes at Conrad but the former wizard king merely knocked the attacks back with his hand.
"Damn we barely have enough magic left not to mention our aura not too good since that battle back at the coliseum" Jaune thought.
"Even so we have to buy some time and protect everyone" Jaune said said as he created another sword made from his mana..
Juane created an X cross slash while Yuno fired multiple wind like attacks and even a wind tornado however none of them have any effect on Conrad.
Both Yuno and Jaune were struggling to stand a bit however due to them still having some aura left they could still fight but it was a struggle as Conrad was coming up to them.
"Yuno...Jaune" Asta said as he saw his two friends trying to defend them.
"No...we need to help Yuno and Jaune..." Ruby said.
As Conrad was walking he felt a red string wrapped around his leg and then the strings were all over him.
"I never thought I would be using this in such a way but here we are" Millie said.
"Come on quickly let's try to activate it with the magic we have" Millie said.
"This will not work" Conrad as he was breaking free of the restraints.
"Maybe not but" Millie said
"Thanks to their help we have a chance" Secre said as she appeared behind Conrad.
Sealing Magic: Eternal Prison
Secre entrapped Conrad in a huge box like seal however Conrad pulled out a key and knocked her back as he was using his magic to try to break the seal.
"He too strong" Finral said.
"How are we suppose to defeat them with our magic is running low" Noelle said.
"Tch we'll retreat for now Jaune Noelle grab everyone and let's get out of here" Yuno said.
It wasn't long until they grabbed everyone and left the lab.
A few minutes later Conrad managed to break through the seal and even he was injured in the battle with Asta and the others.
Conrad activated his magic and he spoke to Jester.
"Jester what's the status of the magic fusion?" Conrad asked his ally.
"Hey you, we're at about twenty percent complete generally speaking we're golden it should be finished by dawn right on schedule" Jester said
"That's good to hear and I want to thank you for fighting the good fight with me" Conrad said.
"It's finally happening a brand new nation no one has to cry or have joy taken from them again" Jester said.
"We will triumph, these poor lost souls will be saved and born again" Edward said.
"What I seek is a society free from oppression where no one seeks to lord over another individual I trust you can achieve that as part of your plan Conrad" Prinica said to ally and fellow wizard king.
"Yes, how about the mana vains?" Conrad asked.
"Don't worry I managed to find the perfect one it's at a village called Hadge in the forsaken realm where a demon skeleton rest" Jester said as Conrad knew the place.
Flashback*
"On its own my key magic is practically is useless, I have to borrow power from other mages it kind of goes hand in hand with what we are fighting for like it's our destiny" Conrad said speaking to Julius.
"I'm going to changed this nation" Conrad said as he laughed.
"I like my real magic is never giving up" Conrad said.
Flashback Ends*
"I told you we were alike" Conrad said as he grabbed the necklace as he was determined to complete his plan no matter what happened.
A/N: Well that's was pretty intense I hope you guys enjoyed that chapter we got a good at Ruby and others abilities post timeskip and we also gotten to see their battle with Conrad at Lab Zero.
I guess to make things clear due to having Marx magic Conrad was able to get his memories meaning he knows about Salem, the gods and everything that happened on Remnant. That's why he kind of understands Blake a bit because he was also discriminated just like her. He thought Blake Ruby and the others would understand but sadly that's not the case.
Especially for Blake since to her Conrad was a reminder of her past with Adam and the White Fang and a dark reflection of herself if she would have stayed with Adam and the White Fang.
Hope you guys also enjoyed the new abilities and forms Ruby and the others gotten in the timeskip.
