Chapter 3!
It's been a while but I've really been wanting to add to this. Given the nature of this fic there's a lot of dialogue, character interaction, and no seriousness or real plot which I've been enjoying when it comes to writing lately. I'll get back to my other planned fics eventually but I've been needing more laid back stuff recently.
Enjoy, more notes at the end!
High Stakes Wager
*Yosetsu POV*
"How does the Quiet Club do that," Yosetsu had to wonder as he peeked away from the game his friends were playing.
"Beats me," Tokage grunted from her place beside him on the couch before she kicked a foot at their friend sitting on the ground. "Tetsu are you actually kidding me?" she griped as the two of them failed for what must have been a the dozenth time and the other boy pushed against the offending part.
"You keep messing it up!" he groused back, slapping at the girl's prodding part, but Tokage kept needling at him.
"Then get me a stick!" the green haired student grumbled while Tetsutetsu groaned at her demands.
"It's a co-op puzzle game!" he reminded her, "You move, you jump."
"I don't feel right without arcade controls," Tokage huffed in half irritation while eyeing the metal user. "Since we were little kids and up through middle school you always dragged me to arcades to play with you," she pointed out literally, jabbing a finger into the back of Tetsutetsu's head, and the other student snorted in resignation.
"I couldn't figure out how to set one up for this," he replied with a whine and Yosetsu snickered as their bickering resumed.
Putting his friends' horrid coordination aside, Yosetsu left them to it as he went back to his own thoughts and mobile games. Talking about coordination, the Quiet Club, as the group was dubbed, consisted of Kodai, Yanagi, Bondo, and Midoriya, and true to their name the four of them were the more quiet people of the class and even retained that quietness when in the company of each other. Tsunotori and Komori might have fit into that as well but they were mainly only quiet with those outside of 1-B instead of generally like this. Regardless, the members managed to communicate very smoothly through various motions or subtle eye contact.
They were content to just sit together and do their own thing, perhaps exchanging some words here or there, with little else happening. With that in mind, you'd believe them to not stand out as a group but it was actually the opposite. Since they spoke so seldomly they actually drew more attention since Bondo and Midoriya were the tallest students in the class by a very obvious margin. Both of them stood at an equal height of 193cm but due to Midoriya's tendency to slouch she looked somewhat shorter than him.
Yosetsu heard the other two groan and he watched Tokage lean back into the couch before shooting a look over to the Quiet Club.
"I want to fix Midoriya's hair so badly," the splitter mumbled absentmindedly and both he and Tetsutetsu's vision followed hers over towards the student in question.
Though not the absolute most standout color or style of hair in 1-B, Midoriya's complete bedhead disaster of a mane that she called hair was one that couldn't be ignored. It reached down to the tall girl's lower back despite being a mix of curly and wavy and it also puffed up and out in most directions. It was only barely tamed by gravity but the top part of her hair curled against that law. Her bangs were somewhat more presentable, though only shifted about so they didn't block her eyes, and the sides of her hair framed her face. All in all, you had to wonder if she ever made any attempts to fix it really.
"Ask her," Yosetsu shrugged turning his attention back to the game along with Tetsutetsu. "She's quiet sure but you know she's not a shy person," he added on though Tokage grunted back.
"Yeah," she groaned in acknowledgement, yet drawing out the word pensively, "but I didn't want to be rude," she tacked on lamely and Yosetsu turned a surprised eye back on her.
"You didn't want to be rude?" he repeated, not at all believing what he was hearing, but Tetsutetsu chimed in right after.
"It's cause she likes Midoriya's usual looks," he teased, getting Tokage to shoot a dirty gaze at him, as Yosetsu nodded at the idea.
"She does kinda have the messy look that's somehow hot," he agreed which prompted their green haired member to snap her fingers enthusiastically.
"Exactly!" Tokage hummed, "but at the same time I'm dying to know what she looks like with her hair all styled up." The splitter took a moment to think, still clearly on the case of Midoriya, before pushing her controller towards him, "Tag in, Awase."
Without any qualms, Yosetsu swapped with the green haired girl and he felt an elbow nudge him while Tokage was busy staring over in Midoriya's direction. Tetsutetsu gave him a look, his eyes going back and forth between both greenettes, and he knew exactly what his friend was getting at. Sending a sly nod back to him, Yosetsu quickly searched up the solution on his phone before hiding it away and addressing the splitting girl.
"If Tetsu and I solve this level first go then you gotta ask her," he pitched, trying hard to hide their ulterior motives, before seeing her mull the offer over.
The two boys were eagerly waiting for her response, surely both hoping that she took the bait, and Yosetsu almost wasn't sure if he'd overplayed his hand. The rest of the class would probably get on them for this trick but you did what you had to do to win. Tokage was still quietly debating and at this point he could feel Tetsutetsu's nervousness over if she was going to take the wager but the greenette let loose a sigh.
"Deal," she relented and Yosetsu had to kick their metal friend to keep him from grinning.
He was really glad that their ploy had worked, granted they wouldn't have needed to do this if Tokage just used her eyes and brain already, and he and Tetsutetsu played about to make it look as if they didn't already know the puzzle solution. Giving it a few more moments and some fake banter, Yosetsu whistled once they wrapped things up.
"We solved it," he grinned as Tokage turned her attention back to them and the splitter's face fell into an annoyed frown.
"Oh you two suck," she huffed, likely due to losing rather than figuring out they cheated, and the two boys gave her cheeky grins.
Yosetsu could only hold onto the belief that his and Tetsutetsu's gambit would work.

Food for Thought
*Setsuna POV*
Setsuna shuffled down the hall and into the common room as her classmates chattered away in the kitchen.
Nearly the whole class was gathered together and the splitter went over readily to join them. At the end of the week, 1-B would band together to cook and have dinner as a class to go over the past week and, most importantly, simply have fun. It had been decided on by their whole class which meant they all had to be there to help out. Shoda and Shiozaki were the ones who took charge of delegating groups for different jobs and dishes and in these times their words were the law. That being said, a couple of them were still missing at the current time and as Setsuna got ready to do some cooking with everyone else, Kendo finally made her appearance next from down the hall. A few of the students greeted her, and Shiozaki, who just finished organizing another group of their classmates, turned her attention towards their arriving class rep.
"Where's Midoriya?" the vine haired student questioned, likely not too pleased with said girl's tardiness, and Setsuna tuned in while she went about her tasks.
"Uhh," Kendo verbally staggered, strangely stiff at being questioned, before she continued with a quick look around, "she's not up yet."
"It's almost dinner though," Shoda piped up curiously and Setsuna noted that a few of the other students were listening in more intently at this point.
"You know she likes to nap," their class rep replied simply, again shifting her gaze about, and Shiozaki's eyes narrowed a touch.
"You checked on her?" she pressed.
"Yeah," Kendo confirmed with a short nod. "Can't miss all that..." the orange haired student started before pausing, apparently thinking over what she was going to say carefully, "fluff of hair," she finished calmly.
Setsuna didn't know why she had said those words like that but the rest of the class appeared to bristle at the phrase and the splitter had to wonder if she was missing out on something. Shiozaki appeared to be processing the information, while the others looked on with a slight sense of anticipation, but quickly went to the refrigerator and pulled something out before zoning in on Setsuna intently.
"Tokage, use your quirk and take this inari sushi to lure her out," Shiozaki ordered, holding the plate out towards her forcefully, and Setsuna, though surprised, took the dish regardless.
She was going to ask what the deal was but there was an awkward atmosphere among the class as most of them eyed around the kitchen to either Shiozaki or herself and so Setsuna just decided to do what she was told. The green haired splitter went for the hall and started using her quirk to float her body down the corridor, keeping the plate at the front, and before she was out of earshot she heard her classmates resume their chatter.
"That's cheating, Shiozaki," Shoda addressed in a hushed tone and though Setsuna just barely heard him she really didn't understand what he was getting at.
The splitter was about to reach the stairs but she picked up someone else's footsteps and looked up to see Midoriya coming down. The taller girl blinked sleepily and received the plate of sushi without breaking her stride but Setsuna was too distracted to care. Midoriya mumbled a sort of greeting while she began eating and the splitter fumbled one back as she fell in step beside her. Setsuna's eyes kept darting from Midoriya's long legs to how her loose t-shirt was held away from her body thanks to her chest and then her somehow cool looking bedhead before they eventually made it back to the others.
The class gave some half greetings and half stares as the pair returned and Midoriya grunted, stumbling over in a daze to wash her hands, as Kendo came up behind her and tied her hair in a low tail. The sleepy greenette was then stuck at one of the stations and began chopping vegetables diligently, if not a bit messily, despite her drowsy state. There was another weird bit of silence before Shoda cleared his throat and started directing everyone in full. Setsuna got to her own tasks as well but she couldn't shake the thought that the others were shooting glances at her.
Really...what had she missed?

Notes and Stuff
Izumi's 6'3 by the way, she's tied tallest in 1-B and the tallest girl.
I may do some pairing stuff, as you can see Setsuna is into Izumi, but I'll likely not focus greatly on it. It'll be generally more background I feel as I of course wanted to mainly write 1-B interacting in a daily setting.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed and look forward to more updates from me!
