Vlad-sensei's Observations #2
*Sekijiro POV*
It was another day for Sekijiro to go over the ever expanding information about his students.
With his students now in the dorms and only growing closer with one another as a class, the 1-B teacher found each day to be eventful and chock full of new things to learn from and about them. Mentally creating a list, the hero thought of what each of his students was individually impressive with. If anything, it was more like minor trivia about each of them but nonetheless these things made for interesting fun facts about them.
Awase, despite his moments of brash behavior, was somehow the most meticulous of the class. He would mull over things repeatedly without end in an attempt to cover every base.
Kaibara had an eye for detail and likely boasted the best observational skills of the class. He could regularly spot things overlooked by the the majority of his classmates with relative ease.
Kamakiri, alongside his pursuit of heroics, was also hoping to enter the field of entomology and his knowledge of the subject assisted in a few of his classmates' clubs.
Kuroiro was sharp and often thought outside of the box. While not always accurate, he offered a number of different views on situations.
Kendo had the best fashion sense and was the leader of the class in both title and action. She was also a practitioner of both kendo and even kyudo alongside her martial arts.
Kodai was a child of the sea. She had a boating license and a talent for fishing and diving while also knowing how to handle most seafood.
Komori, despite her somewhat social shyness, was the best singer of the class with an incredible vocal range and powerful tone.
Shiozaki was well versed in both botany and baking which she used to create breads for her eager classmates.
Shishida was quite the writer and used his skills to create literary analyses of the many works he read which also led to him having the best public speaking skills in the class.
Shoda was somewhat of a jack of all trades which made him perhaps the most reliable in class overall and many of the students sought the vice-rep for assistance.
Tsunotori, despite being a foreign student, was walking trivia when it came to Japan and she easily got the others to follow her enthusiasm for learning in general.
Tsuburaba, alongside his own preferred musical items, picked up most instruments extremely well while also being able to teach those skills with a certain ease.
Tetsutetsu loved observing and scripting fighting choreography. His fired up attitude also kept his peers motivated during the more physical sides of training.
Tokage had everything. Bandages, cushions, tissues, you name it, then she was carrying it. Besides that, she was also one of the most academically and socially inclined of his students.
Fukidashi was the best artist and had many styles to offer with a creative mind to go with his artistic sense.
Honenuki had a soothing effect on the class. He was able to adapt quicker and more calmly than most of the others while also instilling a sense of security for them.
Bondo, despite his huge frame, was quite dexterous and able to craft even the smallest of things with great detail.
Yanagi had the best voice acting out of them, reading as if she was regaling the class with grand tales, and that quality kept the others interested whenever it was her turn to read.
Monoma was quite the creator of poetry and play scripts. His sense for crafting a story in a way that plucked you here and there was certainly second to none.
Sekijiro paused for a moment, his thoughts broken up as he came to his final student, and the blood hero mulled over the 'ever an enigma' girl that was Midoriya. There was quite a lot he could honestly name about the student but at the same time he simply could not settle on just a few so the teacher stood in thought for a touch longer.
Midoriya...
"V-Vlad-sensei! Midoriya doesn't have ears!"
Midoriya didn't have ears.
That...did not sound correct.
Sekijiro turned around to see Tokage, as well as the rest of his class, making for him. The splitter had a slightly bewildered expression while the rest of the students, save Midoriya, held faces that ranged from mild exasperation to poorly veiled amusement.
"Of course she does," the teacher stated, spotting the 'missing' parts almost immediately, but his student shook her head.
"No! Look!" Tokage urged, pulling the girl in question right up to her side, and Midoriya directed a shrug towards him.
The frazzled green haired student brushed at the taller girl's hair and revealed that there were indeed no ears where they'd normally appear. However, Sekijiro saw no issue with what he was being shown.
"They're right there," the blood hero stated, giving a point of a finger which Tokage followed with her eyes, but the student didn't appear to catch on to what he was seeing.
"Where?" she questioned, utterly confused while a few students groaned or nearly palmed their faces, and Sekijiro kept his finger directed upwards while leveling a stare at Midoriya.
"There," he repeated as the taller of the greenettes complied with his wordless message and twitched the pair of ears that rested atop her head.
"She has ears!" Tokage exclaimed in surprise, her mouth agape as she stared at the larger girl, and their classmates audibly groaned.
"I have ears," Midoriya nodded, deadpanning a hum somehow, but Tokage clung to her.
"How come you've never said you had fox ears?" the splitter pressed rapidly. "Why do you even have fox ears?"
"Cause I'm a kitsune?" she answered with a mildly confused question yet Tokage remained puzzled.
"That's impossible!" she cried out in response but the taller girl didn't bat an eye.
"Your head detaches," Midoriya pointed out flatly and Sekijiro felt a flicker of amusement at Tokage's dumbfounded expression.
"Right.." the splitter chuckled awkwardly before becoming reinvigorated. "But your quirk is fire conjuration and manipulation," she reminded readily and Midoriya nodded along.
"Cause I'm a kitsune," she reiterated in statement and the teacher politely coughed to gain their attention.
"It's true," Sekijiro confirmed, directing his words to Tokage, "Midoriya's quirk is indeed listed as Kitsune."
His student stared up at him without a word, still processing all the information she'd received, but her eyes lit back up suddenly as she turned her gaze back onto Midoriya.
"You just keep your ears down?" she asked swiftly.
"Mm," Midoriya nodded but Tokage's eyes narrowed.
"Your tail?" she tried next however a yelp left her while the taller girl softly quirked her lips upwards.
"Hidden," Midoriya revealed as her previously missing tails appeared. "I have 3" she noted, waving them around slightly before they disappeared, "might change as I get older." A quick pause came but the fox student twitched her ears. "I'm a black furred kitsune by the way," she added on as Tokage peered back to the rest of the class.
"Did anyone else know?" she questioned honestly but all she was met with was a variety of annoyed looks as everyone else raised a hand.
Sekijiro truly did want to laugh at the scene unfolding before him. As their teacher, it was impossible for him to not have heard of this development. Save Midoriya and Tokage, the class was constantly but semi-discreetly lamenting about the obliviousness of Tokage to Midoriya's kitsune features and habits. Many of his students were actively scheming ways to make Tokage notice but none had succeeded in doing so for what was clearly a frustrating amount of time for them.
"There were zero clues for this," the splitter attempted though her classmates clearly didn't agree.
"Midoriya mainly acts at night and her eyes are unobstructed by the veil of darkness," Yanagi stated flatly.
"She enjoys pranking people," Tsunotori reminded.
"Her favorite dishes are kitsune udon, inari sushi, and she almost always has fried tofu with any other meal," Shiozaki listed out pointedly.
"We tried to get you to find out last class dinner when we sent you to wake her up cause she was sleeping with her tails covering her," Kendo explained.
"Tetsu and I cheated on that puzzle so you'd do her hair and find her ears," Awase remarked with disappointment, "but you kept putting it off."
"She yawned and it showed her fangs but you were busy staring at her chest," Kaibara interjected soon after.
"Foxes, shrines," Komori urged and Tokage let her eyes wander over the whole class left to right and then back again.
"Seriously?" she almost squeaked in disbelief as they silently stared her down before a clap got all their attention.
"Pot goes to Tsuburaba who had the closest guess," Honenuki announced, mostly gaining grumbles, and the attention shifted to the named student.
"Told you choosing a week after the longest guess would work," Tsuburaba grinned triumphantly but Tokage's face morphed over to surprise.
"A whole week!" she cried. "You didn't give me any credit?"
"I guessed you'd be too busy trying to figure out how big her rack is instead of realizing she's a kitsune," Tsuburaba half-joked and all Tokage could do was offer a sheepish look.
"Was I that bad?" she seemingly had to wonder and Sekijiro noticed that a grin was starting to form on his own face.
"YES!" all the others called in unison.
Tokage gave a few nervous chuckles and through the explosive outburst 1-B began to all laugh or poke fun and the teacher couldn't help but smile along with their energy.
They really made each day more exciting.
[Kan Sekijiro. The Blood Hero and 1-B's homeroom teacher. There were many interesting facts and events regarding each of his students.]
Notes and Stuff
Fox girl Izumi. Now that that's revealed I can actually make her use her quirk in future chapters.
More head canons I have for the 1-B students and of course that means I can go into them more in later updates.
Anyways, I hope you enjoyed and look forward to more updates from me!
